I really do not enjoy commenting about LGF, but I have just had enough of the way that site treats some of my old internet friends.

It is simply disgusting the way that they are treated by Mr. Johnson and his “monitor lizards”.   LGF disrespects them daily with constant dismissal of their opinions (unless they agree with LGF of course), repeated threats of banning, expressions of annoyance of having to deal with its readers, and the newest -and lowest-of-the-low, “time outs”.  This doesn’t even get into the treatment of newly ex-Lizardoids once LGF decides it has “suffered them” long enough, and then just bans them.

Yes, I know the first excuse, and defense of this treatment of its readers is going to be the programmed mantra of “he can do whatever he wants, its his blog.”  You know what?  I agree, but that isn’t the point.  It isn’t about what he CAN do but about what he SHOULD do…and he should show some respect to his readers.  There are real people behind those “nics” and they deserve better treatment.    (Btw:  I would defend the LGF posters on LGF…but we all know how that goes…)

My issue is not with Charles Johnson as a person.  He is whatever he is, and that is his business.  I hold no personal grudge.   This is about the “lizardoids” and how they allow themselves to be threatened.

I am truly amazed that such intelligent, and (in my experience) usually kind people – like those at LGF – would allow a complete stranger to treat them so poorly.   It might seem silly that I am concerned about what goes on at another site (and maybe it is) but many of those “lizardoids” are people I used to communicate daily with on-line, and I care.  If they wish to accept this type of treatment, I guess that is their business, but it really upsets me.  They deserve better than to be mocked, dismissed, threatened, humiliated, coerced, and disrespected so much that they are now put into “time out”!

The “lizardoids” (like all posters on a blog) are what make any blog great, not the Admin(s).  Accordingly, they deserve to treated with, and should demand some respect!
