The Amnesty Race Card

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

More from the right-wing nut over at Renew America,

Why is this the case? Because, as we all know, those on the Left are singularly inept when it comes to being able to marshal facts and logic and reason in support of their arguments and policy positions. It’s much easier — and likely much more emotionally satisfying to boot — for those on the Left to simply fall back on rank emotionalism. Few things invoke emotion more than the thought that somebody might hate or want to harm somebody else — or maybe hate and want to harm ME! — all because of an uncontrollable factor such as what the color of their skin is or where their ancestors are from. Race is the perfect vehicle for those who want to obfuscate discussion and get around uncomfortable facts that destroy their arguments. Which is, of course, why those on the Left and in the Democrat Party talk about race so much. In a sense, it’s the last refuge of the intellectually improficient scoundrel.

You can bet your bottom dollar that once amnesty gets firmly ensconced as a provision of the general Obamacare package, you will see this race card played, just as it was with the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court. Opposition to the bill(s) will be cast as “racism.” The “racism” argument will be used to shepherd the bill through Congress against the public’s wishes, while suppressing what little vocal Republican opposition there has been to Obamacare to date. Though pushing for amnesty may seem like madness, it has a method to it. As a result, this may end up being make-or-break time for conservatives. The Left can only scream “racism” so many times before the charge simply has no force any more. I, for one, eagerly await the day when calling someone a “racist” has about as much meaning or effect as calling someone a “free silverite.” Will this health care monstrosity, with the amnesty monstrosity attached, be what finally drives Middle America to simply decided that we don’t care whether we’re called racists anymore, we’re going to do what’s right, regardless?

Read the whole thing.  I hope I’m wrong, and that I don’t have to make another one of those “I told you so” posts.

Gov. David Paterson blames calls for him to step aside on race

Friday, August 21st, 2009

New York Governour David Paterson thumbs through the entire deck until he finds the race card.  So he can play it.

Gov. Paterson said Friday he knows the reason behind the “crescendo” of calls for him not to seek re-election next year: it’s because he’s black.

Speaking on a morning radio show hosted by Daily News columnist Errol Louis, an angry Paterson blamed the white-dominated media for pushing him to step aside next year.

“The whole idea is to get me not to run in the primary,” he said. Paterson complained there are not enough “black” media outlets to counteract the push.

And he suggested that Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, the country’s only other African-American governor, also is under fire because of his race.

“We’re not in the post-racial period,” Paterson said.

“The reality is the next victim on the list, and you can see it coming, is President Barack Obama, who did nothing more than trying to reform a health care system.”

I supposed it never occurred to the Governour that the calls for his resignation might be due to the fact that he’s an idiotic, incompetent buffoon who has managed to drive the Empire State into the hole even faster than any of his predecessors ever could?

Of course not.  It’s all, only, solely because he’s a black guy, and the “white media” is picking on him.

Here’s a hint to the intelligence-impaired out there – we’re never going to enter a “post-racial” period so long as blacks continue to blame everything that goes wrong for them on “racism.”  Especially when the things that are going wrong for them are the result of poor decisions and incompetency on their own part.  And guess what?  You’ll know that we’re in a post-racial period when white people can criticise black people freely and not be accused of racism.    You know that you are NOT – as Governour Paterson correctly stated – in a post-racial period when incompetent racists accuse other people of racism as a means of averting the electoral consequences of their own policy failures.

In a post-racial period, people will look at the content of a person’s charactre and the actions that they do, and make judgments based on that.  Which is what conservatives and Republicans basically want.

You’ll never enter a post-racial period so long as the very first thing people think of in each and every situation is the race of the people involved, and how they can play the race card to your own political advantage.  That’s what Democrats and Leftists do.

And I might as well say this now to get the ball rolling, since we’re going to have to get the meme firmly established by Nov. 2012 – beating a black man in an election is not racist.

Obama’s Racialist Mask Slips

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

President Barack Hussein Obama got himself into a police dispute. He said the Cops did bad and there is a history of Blacks and Latins being harassed by the police. Obviously his membership in Rev. Wrights Black racist Church has influenced his thinking. he clearly has a racial chip on his shoulder and was exposed. Melanie Phillips does a great expose on this.

I’ve been travelling and so have only just been catching up with the Obama race row over the altercation between Henry Louis Gates and the Cambridge, Mass. police. Strikes me this is no storm in a teacup. Look at the Fox News clip that Tim Montgomerie highlights here for some extremely sharp comments indeed, particularly by Charles Krauthammer. Even after Obama started rowing back, noted Juan Williams of NPR, he was still getting the facts wrong, claiming that Sgt Crowley had led Gates out of his house whereas this was ‘just not true’.

This affair is toxic because it touches many nerves: America’s neuralgic conscience over its historic racism, the monstrously unjust over-reaction to that racism, and the election of a President who supposedly embodied, in both his identity and his approach, a post-racial New Man and an absolution for past national sins. Now the mask has slipped, and even those with Obama stars in their eyes can’t hide their dismay.

Charles will soon call Melanie a Racist in a future post!

Take Action: Tell Obama That U.S. Support Of Antisemitic Durban II Conference Is Wrong!

Demonstrators At "Durban I"

The Obama Administration has decided that the U.S. will participate in the United Nations’ Durban Review Conference, commonly called “Durban II”.  Insofar that “Durban I” was nothing more than an open forum for blatant Antisemitism, and Racism, U.S. participation in “Durban II” must be strongly opposed.

President Obama’s decision to send a U.S. delegation to the planning sessions for Durban II is an extremely disturbing change in American foreign policy regarding Israel. Like the original Durban conference in 2001, the upcoming conference is based on a document which is specifically anti-Israel. In speaking about racism, xenophobia, and discrimination, the  ‘Durban Declaration and Program of Action’ which lays the framework for Durban II, names only Israel as an offender against human rights. The preparatory committee for Durban II is being chaired by Libya, with Iran and Cuba as vice-chairs. Durban II is based on a document that falsely targets the democratic State of Israel without mentioning real instances of human rights abuses in the dictatorships of Asia, Africa or the Middle East.

It is not possible for U.S. participation in this conference to mitigate the anti-Israel hatred the conference is designed to produce. So far, the U.S. delegation to the planning sessions has remained silent while additional anti-Israel language was added to the conference document. When the Palestinian delegation offered language that called for international protection of the Palestinian people (ostensibly against Israeli racism) and for implementation – as an international legal obligation – of the biased and ungrounded advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice against Israel’s security fence, the U.S. delegation reportedly raised no objection, allowing the language to go through to the final conference without debate.

It is worth remembering that in 2001, when the U.S. withdrew from the first Durban conference, Secretary of State Colin Powell expressed clearly the nature of the conference and why it was unthinkable for the U.S. to participate: ”I know that you do not combat racism by conferences that produce declarations containing hateful language, some of which is a throwback to the days of ‘Zionism equals racism;’ or supports the idea that we have made too much of the Holocaust; or suggests that apartheid exists in Israel; or that singles out only one country in the world-Israel-for censure and abuse.”

The U.S. showed moral clarity and stood by our ally Israel by boycotting the 2001 conference when it became clear that Durban I had degenerated into a hate-fest against Israel, Jews, and the West. This second conference will be no different. Britain, Italy and other countries are watching closely how the U.S. responds. The United States should join Israel and Canada in refusing to participate in the Durban II conference this coming April.

Associated Press Hits Bottom, Digs

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

The Associated Press article on Sarah Palin’s comments about William Ayers is a Category 7 jaw-dropper. Apparently, now even criticizing Obama’s associations with white violent radicals is racist: Analysis: Palin’s words carry racial tinge.

Palin’s words avoid repulsing voters with overt racism. But is there another subtext for creating the false image of a black presidential nominee “palling around” with terrorists while assuring a predominantly white audience that he doesn’t see their America?

Her reference to Obama’s relationship with William Ayers, a member of the Vietnam-era Weather Underground, was exaggerated at best if not outright false. No evidence shows they were “pals” or even close when they worked on community boards years ago and Ayers hosted a political event for Obama early in his career.

Obama, who was a child when the Weathermen were planting bombs, has denounced Ayers’ radical views and actions. …

In a post-Sept. 11 America, terrorists are envisioned as dark-skinned radical Muslims, not the homegrown anarchists of Ayers’ day 40 years ago. With Obama a relative unknown when he began his campaign, the Internet hummed with false e-mails about ties to radical Islam of a foreign-born candidate.

Whether intended or not by the McCain campaign, portraying Obama as “not like us” is another potential appeal to racism. It suggests that the Hawaiian-born Christian is, at heart, un-American.

This really is the election in which the mainstream media have thrown all their claims to impartiality right into the sewer. It’s sickening to see.

Colbert King Plays the White Supremacist Card

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

The Washington Post’s Colbert King compares Clinton strategist Mark Penn to white supremacists, frantic to prevent Barack Obama from being elected: Memo From a Poison Penn.

Say you find yourself seated on the train behind two white supremacists who are beside themselves over the possibility that Barack Obama could become America’s first black president.

They are so fired up, they fail to notice you.

The men are discussing the urgent need to derail Obama’s candidacy.

The obvious strategist of the two says that Obama’s defeat can be brought about by hitting him hard, where it hurts the most.

We’ve got to launch an attack, he declares, on Obama’s “lack of American roots.” Paint him as a guy with an exotic background who’s present in mainstream society but isn’t really a part of it.

He asserts, with a snicker, that Obama has “a very strong weakness.” We’ll drive home the argument, he says, that Obama’s “roots to basic American values and culture are at best limited.”

Just one problem with King’s overheated scenario; the real white supremacists are very much in favor of Barack Obama.

So you think the chorus of white hate groups is seething with rage that Barack Obama could become president? Think again.

Members of the knuckle-dragging set are taking a rosier view, judging by their Internet posts. They say the possibility of a biracial president is helping their recruitment efforts.

“It will be a beautiful day when the masses look at the paper and truly realize they have lost their own country,” according to one of the postings spotted by Mark Potok, who monitors hate groups at the Southern Poverty Law Center. “White people aren’t going to do a thing until their toys are taken away from them,” says another. “So things have to be worse for things to be better.”

So much for the question of whether Obama will be able to reach beyond his core liberal constituency.

Even former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke has taken time from his international network of Holocaust-deniers to blog: “Obama is a visual aid for white Americans who just don’t get it yet that we have lost control of our country, and unless we get it back we are heading for complete annihilation as a people.”

re: #205 sattv4u2

as she says, so what

US demographics have always been in flux. At 1st, the “majority” were English descendents. Then, as time went on, it became more Eoro-centric (Germans, Italians, etc matched numbers). True, they were all still caucasion, but again what changed?

The key will be assimilation, not numbers. Will Hispanics for the most part do what my Italian grandmother did (assimilate to America in society, yet keep her Italian heritage alive at home). African Americans, even with some cultural divides aren’t any different than me.
So again ,, I agree with her ,, SO WHAT!

She’s wrong. Prior immigrants HAD to assimilate to succeed. Now, there’s huge pressure not to and we mollycoddle immigrants with all kinds of assistance – $ and stuff in their own languages. It’s a straw man argument.

My experience in the grocery store

Friday, June 20th, 2008

This is the last post I made at LGF after which I was banned. I dont think what I say is offensive but it is evidence that Obama supporters are racist and antisemitic. Judging from the content on Obamas website this makes absolute sense. Considering that Obama sat for 20 years listening to Reverend {Wrong} Wright and his anti-American and anti-Semitic rants, is this all that surprising?

Last week I needed to pick up some items at the grocery store. While standing in line an african american man walked up and started to read the ‘rags’ {gossip magazines}. He said the following:

“Snap! I didnt know Obamas mother was a whitey! …. Did I say that out loud?”

To which the checkout clerk responded:

“Yup!”

I was the only white person in line and they looked squarely at me when they said this. I found this very offensive. I lived for several years in Venice Beach CA and while living there I got jumped by the Crips and had my nose broken. I consider african american gangs to be equal to radical islamic terrorists. From then on I see no problem calling a spade a spade. We should not bow down to the demands of any racial group, african americans included. I have never used racial epithets to belittle others , but obviously those in the grocery store were trying to make me uncomfortable.

If they can call me ‘whitey’ I will call them what they deserve to be called. Obama has not done racial relations any favors. I think he is making racial relations worse. I think it is part of his plan of dividing Americans and causing economic strife. His tax plan is aimed squarely at the upper middle class, to steal from the rich and give to the ‘poor’ {welfare state}.

I know these people, who have no desire to work, and would love to live off a hand out. What has Obama done to make things better? His entire church was preaching racial division and hatred {I cant believe the crap I heard his reverend spew, and he is supposed to be a man of faith!}.
