Earlier today, Little Green Footballs linked to a piece on Little Bulldogs that claimed to “fisk” Robert Spencer. (Little Green Footballs link: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/34798_Fisking_Spencer ). [copy & paste to get around the redirect]

The article that Little Bulldogs claimed to “fisk” concerned Robert Spencer’s coverage of a national day of prayer for Muslims on the Capitol lawn in D.C. on September 24th.

Little Bulldogs’ analysis centered on the fact that Robert Spencer called for Muslims to repudiate Jihad if they really wanted to be seen as ‘peaceful.’ Little Bulldogs claimed that Muslims have no need to repudiate Jihad in order to be peaceful – that the participation in a peaceful prayer on the White House lawn was enough ‘proof’ of peacefulness. Little Bulldogs claimed that the prayer at the White House was never an act of ‘politics,’ but was rather an act of proof that Muslims are human beings.

He claimed it was no different than Jews or Christians praying on the Capitol lawn – i.e., a religious and not a political act. He then further compared Islamic law (Sharia) to Jewish law (Halacha), and claimed that some Jews (as Muslims) want to see Halacha spread to the USA, but there is no problem with this desire, as long as the desire is only peaceful.

The problem with this analysis is summed up in a comment on Little Bulldogs

Jews do not call for Halacha to be imposed anywhere but Israel, except specifically in the time of the Messiah. And in Israel, only a small fringe want Halacha imposed on the state. (see: National Union party – 3 MK’s)

In contradistinction, the Messiah or “end of days” is not a requirement for Sharia law to be imposed on the earth.

Judaism never was an expansionist faith, and there is a prohibition against proselytizing. The same is not true of Islam (or Christianity, but at least Christianity had a reformation and ‘Western’ culture underwent an Enlightenment).

….[i]t was clear the major prayer session was to show Muslims are at least peaceful. One would think a good way of showing such peacefulness would be to denounce Islamic extremism, and make clear that the goal is not to impose Sharia on others.

In summary:

(1) It is clear that Sheikh Ahmed Dewidar, who read from the Quran at the prayer session on Capitol Hill, was no moderate. He in fact is an open antisemite who has interviews on Ikwan.com (the Muslim Brotherhood website). As such, Robert Spencer’s concerns about the event on the White House lawn are justified.

(2) In general, this is just but one example of the hazards of post-modernism/progressivism. I have no doubt that Little Bulldogs believes he (or she) means well. But Little Bulldogs is operating under a base assumption of moral relativism. This base assumption is that people are all people, who want to live, work, breathe, and co-exist. And the assumption further goes on that Islam is thus no different than Judaism or Christianity – these religions are all the same and all seek coexistence.

However, what is clear is that again and again, those who claim to represent Islam are not ‘moderates’ by any stretch of the imagination, and absolutely do not seek co-existence and harmony. Maybe it is possible for Islam to reform itself and eventually become a religion characterized by a mainstream that believes in coexistence and tolerance. Maybe it is possible for Islam to eventually embrace modernity. I make no representations about the future and what is ultimately possible. That is beyond my knowledge. But we have to live based upon reality as it exists, and not as we wish it to exist. Sadly, far too many in the world prefer to live in a world they wish existed.

The path to peace and tolerance is through a recognition of painful realities. Once Muslims recognize the non-moderate status of those who are their leaders, they can perhaps start down the road towards modernity and reformation. Post-modernism/progressivism delays this necessary step that Muslims must make.

Let this be a lesson to us all: Post-modernism/progressivism seeks to obscure reality, and thus is an impediment towards peace and harmony.

~Open Thread: Wednesday Afternoon “LGF (No) Respect” Edition~

I really do not enjoy commenting about LGF, but I have just had enough of the way that site treats some of my old internet friends.

It is simply disgusting the way that they are treated by Mr. Johnson and his “monitor lizards”.   LGF disrespects them daily with constant dismissal of their opinions (unless they agree with LGF of course), repeated threats of banning, expressions of annoyance of having to deal with its readers, and the newest -and lowest-of-the-low, “time outs”.  This doesn’t even get into the treatment of newly ex-Lizardoids once LGF decides it has “suffered them” long enough, and then just bans them.

Yes, I know the first excuse, and defense of this treatment of its readers is going to be the programmed mantra of “he can do whatever he wants, its his blog.”  You know what?  I agree, but that isn’t the point.  It isn’t about what he CAN do but about what he SHOULD do…and he should show some respect to his readers.  There are real people behind those “nics” and they deserve better treatment.    (Btw:  I would defend the LGF posters on LGF…but we all know how that goes…)

My issue is not with Charles Johnson as a person.  He is whatever he is, and that is his business.  I hold no personal grudge.   This is about the “lizardoids” and how they allow themselves to be threatened.

I am truly amazed that such intelligent, and (in my experience) usually kind people – like those at LGF – would allow a complete stranger to treat them so poorly.   It might seem silly that I am concerned about what goes on at another site (and maybe it is) but many of those “lizardoids” are people I used to communicate daily with on-line, and I care.  If they wish to accept this type of treatment, I guess that is their business, but it really upsets me.  They deserve better than to be mocked, dismissed, threatened, humiliated, coerced, and disrespected so much that they are now put into “time out”!

The “lizardoids” (like all posters on a blog) are what make any blog great, not the Admin(s).  Accordingly, they deserve to treated with, and should demand some respect!

For those who don’t know who E2M is, he was a very long time poster at LGF who was probably on the site about the same time I was, which was seven years. A very good man and a good friend of mine. At any rate, here is the entire last post of earth2moonbat [posted on the lgf overnight thread]. (edit by m: the poster formerly known as earth2moonbat, is our “snork”)

The entire thing is a must read with a ton of links and youtube stuff and all around hilarity.

What’s up, Chuck? I feel like Rip Van Winkle. I leave for a couple years, and come back, and like this place turns into Kos. WTF happened? Does Spock have a beard? Is this some bizarro alternative universe? I mean, I didn’t mind your bike threads. After all, I guess if you want to show off in front of your lizardoid minions like this, it’s your blog, not that there’s anything wrong with that. So I went along. Even when Sharmuta started turning into a groupie. I even remember the one when your bike broke, and Irish Rose gave you a lift.

Things started getting a little weirder when the creationism threads started popping up. First a couple. Then a bunch more. Then it turns into a full-fledged evolutionist jihad. What’s a Pastafarian supposed to think when you insult my noodly savior? Of course, the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe, you heathen! You and your puny Darwinian religion are no match for the Great Noodly One!

So anyway, this place started getting kind of weird. It’s like wall-to-wall evolution 24/7. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s also not the way science is supposed to work. Science isn’t supposed to be jihad, and it’snot supposed to be cheerleaders with pom-poms chanting “hey hey…ho ho…creationism has got to go”. It’s supposed to be resolution of observation and theory. I don’t think Darwin would appreciate this shit if he were alive.

I mean this evolution jihad is like 22 metric shitloads of WTF. But then you go off on another jihad masquerading as science by talking shit about climate skeptics. Do you know a proton from a crouton, Chucky? Do you have even the most basic tools to understand this issue? No? Then why don’t you follow Jillette’s wise advice, and STFD and STFU? I don’t get it, is your bike missing, or something? As we Pastafarians all know ,lack of pirates causes global warming. Haven’t you ever heard of theArrrr-henius equation?

So anyway, you go to Jimmy Hansen’s minions’ site realclimate.org looking for the indisputable truth. As you can see, they’re run by EMS. If you follow the money, EMS leads back to Fenton Communications, and ultimately back to the Tides Foundation. That’s the same Theresa Heinz’s Tides Foundation that gave Saint Hansen a quarter million just for giggles. You did know that Hansen is Gavin’s boss, right? If you think this is how things are supposed to be, you’re denser than I thought. Show me one skeptic anywhere in the world who received even a research grant, let alone a stringless gift like that of that magnitude. I double-dog dare you.

WTF happened to the skeptic who didn’t want to take Dan Rather’s libel at face value? Have you forgotten what put LGF on the map? It was because a good citizen debunking of the powerful propagandists attracted a lot of smart people to a site that represented the best of the web. Your 15 minutes was when you successfully pulled a WTF check off on the high and mighty Dan.

One of the repeated claims by the blog runner there is that they are random, and thus he cannot control the ads to Glenn Beck, or Muslim outreach. Odd that others don’t seem to be having this problem. (at least that I know of)

My Open Letter To The Loozard King and his minions:

Today, Charles Johnson of 1.0, posted a misleading and patently false thread at his site whining that The Blogmocracy was participating in “Assassination Rhetoric” and “threatening the life of the President.”

Usually, I would ignore the paranoid rantings of Mr. Johnson (as it is his site and he can do whatever he wants there; as can we here) but this claim is a serious charge, and an outright LIE.

If he feels so threatened by The Blogmocracy that he must criticize us, then fine, but do so legitimately, and honestly!   I welcome the competition.  However, what he has done here is simply an outright lie, and serious misrepresentation of the facts dealing with exceptionally serious issues regarding our President.

The so-called proof Mr. Johnson gives of this claimed “assassination rhetoric” is a post by “Bill Jenkins” (a poster, but not Admin here) quoting Thomas Jefferson.  (It is #6 on the “Leftists Love Their Autocrats” thread from yesterday.)  [*at the time of Mr. Johnson's thread there were 56 posts on the "Leftists Love..." thread)  There are a few major problems with Charles' claims however.

(1) The comment Mr. Johnson uses for his principal argument is not directed at the President.  In fact, it isn't directed at anyone.  (Go to the thread and see for yourself.) The so-called "proof" that Mr. Johnson gives that this comment is "assassination rhetoric" is that it shows a picture of President Obama with the comment.  What he purposefully omits is that this picture has nothing in particular to do with the comment, but instead is just "Bill Jenkins" avatar which is attached to all his comments.  Furthermore, if the comment were directed any anyone, it would have been at the subject of the overall thread: Thomas Friedman.  (I am not stating however that threats towards Mr. Friedman would be proper, but they are hardly "assassination rhetoric" "threatening the life of the President."

(2)  In his post, Mr. Johnson blatantly alters the original comment by adding in a link, and language that wasn't part of Bill Jenkins' post. I presume the "Lizardiods" aren't going to take my word for it, but you don't have to.  This fact is evidenced by Mr. Johnson's own screenshot which he uses as so-called evidence.  You will notice that in Mr. Johnson's attack, the words: "(With a picture of Barack Obama.)" [Which interestingly used to have a link to a picture, but now the link has been removed on LGF.  Who is the one doing the hiding Mr. Johnson?] was added to “Bill Jenkins” comment.

The flaw in Mr. Johnson’s argument however is that there is no picture of Barack Obama there, nor was there ever! Just look at the screenshot provided. This language connecting the comment to President Obama was falsely added by Mr. Johnson to bolster his lie. As is stated in #1 above, yes there is a pic of Obama present, but it is simply the avatar that accompanies ALL of “Bill Jenkins’” comments and thus had nothing specific to do with the comment in question.

(3)  Mr. Johnson then goes on to whine about some of The Blogomcracy’s posters’ statements about him. Unlike Mr. Johnson, I am not going to lie – those two statements are true, and for the most part in context. I don’t agree with these personal jokes regarding Mr. Johnson, but at least here he is not lying – they were said.  I will agree, they are rude, and inappropriate – but so what! Was it not Mr. Johnson who told most of us to “get off his blog”, and if we didn’t like the restrictions, etc. on LGF that we should “go get our own blog?” Well guess what Mr. Johnson, and those “Lizardoids” reading this, WE DID. So quit your whining, and stop being so thin-skinned.  You and I both know that these expressions of humor, and anger are not legitimate or actual threats against you.   If we are going to participate in such purposeful melodrama over comments made at blogs, maybe we will have to take seriously all the threats against the Liberals, the U.N., the “Palestinians”, etc., that have occurred at LGF over the years.

(4)  Last is Mr. Johnson’s disingenuous use of a post from a long time ago by former Admin “Avideditor” to attempt to claim that these types of posts are typical of The Blogmocracy.  This claim however is again proven false by Mr. Johnson’s own so-called “proof”. He attaches screenshots from “Avideditor’s” own site complaining that we removed him as an Admin, and banned him from our site (something we rarely do) because of that comment.

This doesn’t prove that “assassination rhetoric” against the President is typical, but quite the opposite – it proves that despite our exceptionally liberal policy towards free speech on our site, and strict policy against banning people, the Admins at that time found “assassination rhetoric” against the President (even in question form) to be appalling, and beyond-the-pale and thus acted accordingly by banning the person who made the comment.

Counter to Mr. Johnson’s underlying claim, they didn’t encourage this type of rhetoric, or consider it acceptable, but instead took the huge step here to ban an Admin for said comment.  This fact is further proven by the realty that “Avideditor” is angry at The Blogmocracy, and had to make his Anti-Blogmocrcy comments (those used by Mr. Johnson) from his own site and not ours!

Mr. Johnson is outright lying, and obviously thinks so low of his “lizardoids” that he expects them not to see the blaring flaws in the so-called evidence he provides. This is probably why he bans anyone that comes here, or elsewhere to find out the truth for themselves.  I however think higher of them then he does apparently,  and know that when provided with honest evidence they will make the right conclusion.

Assassination rhetoric against the President of The United States is a very serious offense, and something the Admins here take exceptionally serious.  Not only is it against the law, it is WRONG!  As Mr. Johnson inadvertently proves, when we are aware of it, we are so offended that we are even willing to ban a long time associate, and Admin because of it.

Mr. Johnson’s claims are disingenuous, false, and pathetic.  Criticize us if you must, but at least have the honor to do so honestly!

(*I would have been more than happy to have posted this “face-to-face” on LGF, but we all know how that goes.)

Yes my comment was, upon reflection not very funny at all, I thought it was, but then you can see my brain size in my avatar and that’s not my brain, that’s the tumor growing on my brain.

The not-so-funny comment was made in the context of Charles Johnson revealing my personal info on his public blog. He had just revealed a persons real name that posts here. It appears it was purely out of vindictiveness.

I made that comment in the context of “if he outs me, I am not sure if I care, but then its not that long of a drive to Culver City……”

I did not mean it as an actual threat of bodily harm to Charles, although I understand why it was taken that way. So my sincere apologies to Charles Johnson for my “threat” of bodily harm.

Now of course Charles failed to mention the context of my comment which was based on his comment, I wonder why?
Perhaps he violated his own rules or he doesn’t want you to really know the low levels he will stoop too in defense of his  own “honor”?

Who Is Kathryn Joyce?

Hmmm…  Let us look into some of those associations.

●  The Nation: The description given by Yahoo.com: “Weekly journal of opinion, featuring progressive ideas and analysis on politics and culture, publishing since 1865.”

●  Mother Jones: The description given by the Magazine’s “About” page:

“Mother Jones is a nonprofit news organization that specializes in investigative, political, and social justice reporting…Why should you read or support us? Because “smart, fearless journalism” keeps people informed–”informed” being pretty much indispensable to a democracy that actually works.  Because we’ve been ahead of the curve time and again. Because this is journalism not funded by or beholden to corporations…

Mother Jones has had Michael Moore as their editor, and in defense of being called a “Lefist, Pinko Rag” states the following:

“We believe all people should have equal opportunity in life, that all children should be able to go to good schools, and that everyone should have health care.  Call that what you will–we’re not insulted by being called left, liberal, progressive, whatever.

Mother Jones writers can be found on The Colbert Report, and The Daily Show, which are not quite bastions of Conservative thought.

What Is This Book “Quiverfull: Inside the Christian Patriarchy Movement”?

The book is described by “amazon.com” as follows:

“From Publishers Weekly -Journalist Joyce has conducted a groundbreaking investigation of a little-known movement among Christian evangelicals that rejects birth control and encourages couples to have as many children as possible. The movement, which takes its name from a verse in Psalm 127, advocates a retreat from society and a rejection of government policies that encourage equal rights for women, pregnancy prevention and an individualistic ethic. Quiverfull families share with more mainline Protestant groups, such as the Southern Baptist Convention, a belief that wives should submit to their husbands.  But the group goes further by insisting that children be home schooled and daughters forgo a college education in favor of early marriage and childbearing…Members of the movement use militaristic metaphors and see themselves waging a war to win back the culture and rescue American society. I haven’t read the book, and know nothing about the movement, but from my own understanding of religion (and gender roles based thereon), and personal experience in dealing with non-religious people regarding it, I am highly skeptical that this movement is against “equal rights” and as sexist, etc., as the author puts forth.  This Thread isn’t a book review however, so I am going to move on.

LGFs Strange Bedfellows Get Worse!

There are many people who share Kathryn Joyce’s (and LGFs?) view of religion and the Quiverfull movement. They would be the Communists, America Haters, Israel Haters, and “Progressives” (was I just overly redundant?) at Pacifica Radio.

This attitude is not surprising however, when you know a bit about the host – Michael Slate.

They are the Voice of the Enemy Within -founded at Berkeley to protest American entry in WW2.  (Hey why should they be bothered with defeating Nazism?)  Seriously, they make MSNBC look and feel like FOX News.  But hey, don’t just trust me; look around at Pacifica Radio’s website and make your own mind up.

It sure is curious that LGF would align itself with, and support those who are so closely tied with the Communist Party, the Progressive machine, and Leftist ideals.

Unfortunately for LGF however, this isn’t the first time they have found themselves arguing the same things as the Communist Party.

Possibly Appearing Soon on LGF 1.0? – More Right Wing Fringe Websites Call for Revolution

I went dumpster diving out back behind the “Lizard Lounge” over at 1.0 and found this apparent rough draft of a post Charles might be planning.  Looks like he’s discovered yet more dangerous right wing extremists who are planning a revolution. (By the way, folks, this is satire.)


Following up on my post from yesterday that outed Jim Thompson, the founder of the right wing website Free Republic, for calling for a revolution to overturn the results of last November’s election, it seems the kook right wing fringe blogosphere’s case of Obama Derangement Syndrome is getting even worse. Obviously echoing Thompson’s extremist rhetoric, the kookish Sam Adams over at The Original Tea Party Guy gives us this little gem,

 “The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil constitution, are worth defending against all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks.”

But I’m sure he doesn’t mean anything violent by that, of course. Wink wink, nudge nudge. Adams’ fellow tax protestor, John Marshall who posts at the subversively named Free the Supreme Court, tells us,

“An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy; because there is a limit beyond which no institution and no property can bear taxation.”

Sheesh, how does Marshall think we’re going to fund the health care we need if we don’t have taxes? He’s probably another one of those “patriots” who wants to see Obama fail to save the economy. And I’m sure he’s a racist who doesn’t want Sotomayor on the Supreme Court, either. There is something seriously wrong with the water over there in Ronpaulistan.

As another example, see the incitements to violence by Thompson’s wacko fellow-traveller at Hanover County “Patriot”,

Thomas Jefferson’s support for intelligent design

In the battle over how to teach evolution in public schools, Thomas Jefferson’s demand for a “separation between church and state’’ has been cited countless times. Many argue that the controversial alternative to Darwinian evolution, intelligent design, is an exclusively religious idea and therefore cannot be discussed under the Constitution.

By invoking Jefferson’s principle of separation, many critics of intelligent design assume that this visionary Founding Father would agree with them. But would he? For too long, an aspect of Jefferson’s visionary thought has been ignored, hidden away as too uncomfortable for public discussion – his support for intelligent design.

In 1823, when materialist evolutionary ideas had long been circulating, Jefferson wrote to John Adams and insisted that the scientific evidence of design in nature was clear: “I hold (without appeal to revelation) that when we take a view of the Universe, in its parts general or particular, it is impossible for the human mind not to perceive and feel a conviction of design, consummate skill, and indefinite power in every atom of its composition.’’ It was on empirical grounds, not religious ones, that he took this view. Contemplating everything from the heavenly bodies down to the creaturely bodies of men and animals, he argued: “It is impossible, I say, for the human mind not to believe that there is, in all this, design, cause and effect, up to an ultimate cause, a fabricator of all things from matter and motion.’’ The “ultimate cause’’ and “fabricator of all things’’ that Jefferson invoked was also responsible for the “design’’ of life’s endlessly diverse forms as well as the manifestly special endowments of human beings. Moreover, because the evidence of “Nature’s God’’ was publicly accessible to all and did not depend upon a special appeal to religious authority, Jefferson believed that it provided a basis in reason for the protection of individual liberty. Thus, the Declaration of Independence asserted that humans are “endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights.’’ Of course, many people assume that Jefferson’s views, having been written before Darwin’s “Origin of Species,’’ are now scientifically obsolete.

But Jefferson has been vindicated by modern scientific discoveries that Darwin could not have anticipated. For example, in 1953 when Watson and Crick elucidated the structure of the DNA molecule, they made a startling discovery. The structure of DNA allows it to store information in the form of a four-character digital code. Strings of precisely sequenced chemicals called nucleotide bases store and transmit the assembly instructions – the information – for building the crucial protein molecules and machines the cell needs to survive. Francis Crick later developed this idea with his famous “sequence hypothesis,’’ according to which the chemical constituents in DNA function like letters in a written language or symbols in a computer code. As Bill Gates has noted, “DNA is like a computer program, but far, far more advanced than any software we’ve ever created.’’ This discovery has made acute a longstanding scientific mystery that Darwin never addressed or solved: the mystery of how the very first life on earth arose. To date no theory of undirected chemical evolution has explained the origin of the digital information in DNA needed to build the first living cell on earth. Yet modern scientists who argue for intelligent design do not do so merely because natural processes have failed to explain the origin of the information in cells.

Instead, they argue for design because systems possessing these features invariably arise from intelligent causes. DNA functions like a software program. We know that software comes from programmers. Information – whether inscribed in hieroglyphics, written in a book, or encoded in a radio signal – always arises from an intelligent source. So the discovery of digital code in DNA provides a strong scientific reason for concluding that the information in DNA also had an intelligent source. Design is an inference from biological data, not a deduction from religious authority. Jefferson said just that, and based his political thinking on it. The evidence for what he presciently called “Nature’s God’’ is stronger than ever. Our nation’s existence, with its guarantee to protect each person’s “inalienable rights,’’ may be counted among the fruits of Jefferson’s belief in intelligent design.

Rabid leftist and anti-religious bigot, Charles “Icarus” Johnson celebrates the egging of BNP leader Nick Griffin. I do not agree with many of the BNP’s positions and I am not defending them. However, they are the only ones in the UK speaking out on Islamization. They are filling a void left open by the establishment in the UK. They have a right to speak without being hit with Eggs.

The Holocaust-denying leader of the British National Party, Nick Griffin, now a member of European Parliament, was forced to abandon a press conference today when demonstrators showed up throwing eggs.

Dozens of protesters disrupted the event, which follows the British National Party winning its first two seats in the European Parliament. Chanting anti-Nazi slogans and holding placards they surrounded Mr Griffin as he was bundled into a car.

Mr Griffin was elected for the North West region – a result condemned by parties across the political spectrum. Mr Griffin and Andrew Brons, who was elected in the Yorkshire and Humber region, staged a press conference on College Green, opposite the Houses of Parliament.

The BNP leader began the event by holding up copies of national newspapers and talking about what he said were media lies about him and his party.

He denied he had past links with Oswald Mosley, as the former fascist leader “was very hostile to the National Front from which I am from”.

He had been speaking for about two minutes when about 50 to 100 protesters marched towards him chanting slogans and throwing eggs.

Charles would condemn it if a leftist or Islamic leader were to get hit with eggs. It’s bad enough that he believes in silencing different views on his blog. He now wants to silence others in real life. Clearly he is a totalitarian fascist.

He then goes on and attacks Frank Gaffney for asking if Obama is a secret muslim. Obama made some statements that are from an Islamic point of view. He used “peace be upon him” when referring to Moses and Jesus, something Christians and Jews don’t use. Gaffney makes some legitimate points. However, Charles attacks him and defends his  beloved leader Barack Hussein Obama.

Is Frank Gaffney actually going for the “sekrit Mozlem prezdent” gambit?

Unfortunately, the answer seems to be “yes,” with a Hitler comparison thrown in for good measure: America’s first Muslim president?

This is not to say, necessarily, that Mr. Obama actually is a Muslim any more than Mr. Clinton actually is black. After his five months in office, and most especially after his just-concluded visit to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, however, a stunning conclusion seems increasingly plausible: The man now happy to have his Islamic-rooted middle name featured prominently has engaged in the most consequential bait-and-switch since Adolf Hitler duped Neville Chamberlain over Czechoslovakia at Munich. …

With Mr. Obama’s unbelievably ballyhooed address in Cairo Thursday to what he calls “the Muslim world” (hereafter known as “the Speech”), there is mounting evidence that the president not only identifies with Muslims, but actually may still be one himself.

For a “sekrit Mozlem,” Obama sure does talk a lot about being a Christian: Barack Obama invokes Jesus more than George W. Bush.

Muslims also refer to Jesus, Mr. Icarus. Obama also lied about Islamic accomplishments and kept praising their cult. Charles attacks Gaffney because he seeks to silence any discussion about Obama’s Muslim ties.  Charles Johnson is clearly a hateful fascist. He can’t stand dissent or discussion of ideas. Thankfully, someone as deranged as Icarus is not in power.

Charles Johnson is quick to label people as Fascists. However, he displays fascistic tendencies and seeks to silence his opponents. He is a very hateful and miserable man who should look in the mirror when calling others totalitarians. Although it is just a blog, LGF is full of hate towards conservatives, libertarians and people of faith. This hatred and bigotry must be confronted and exposed. Bigoted fascists like Charles Johnson need the light shown on them. Like rats and roaches, Icarus can’t stand the spotlight. Not to insult rats and roaches as they have more honor than this little washed up person.

As Barack Obama prepares to give his long-anticipated major address to the Islamic world from Cairo, as a public service I here offer the speech he should give:

Dear friends,
I have said that in this speech I would offer my personal commitment to engagement with the Islamic world, based upon mutual interests and mutual respect. Establishing peace between the forces of the global jihad and America and her ally Israel is something that I would very much love to do. The first thing I must acknowledge, however, is that much as I would love to see this peace dawning over the world, it is not within my power to achieve this.
That may surprise many of you. You have grown accustomed to thinking that the tensions between Muslims and the United States – tensions that boiled over on September 11, 2001 and on the occasions of many other acts of jihad terrorism as well – are entirely the fault of the United States. Americans have been told that we are hated because of our support for Israel, and because of our attempts to bring freedom and stability to the overwhelmingly Muslim people of Iraq and Afghanistan. We are hated because we have spent American treasure to try to secure a better life for Muslims the world over, spending billions of dollars in aid for Egypt, Pakistan, and other Muslim countries.
I must speak honestly with you. It puzzles and pains Americans to see ourselves vilified and hated for trying to help others. Now, unlike the Islamic Republic of Iran and other Islamic entities, we seek no apologies, no restitution. We do not ask for a word of thanks for our numerous attempts to help Muslim societies become safe, prosperous places to live for all their citizens. We do not ask for your approval. But at this point we are going to cease efforts to build bridges of understanding with the Islamic world that have turned out to be fruitless, and even self-defeating.
We have showered billions on Pakistan to enable the Pakistani government to fight the Islamic jihadists, only to see a great deal of that many being funneled to those same jihadists, who are now stronger than ever.
We have tried to establish democracies in Iraq and Afghanistan, only to see non-Muslim minorities treated worse than ever, such that they have been streaming out of Iraq in unprecedented numbers, while the few that remain in Afghanistan are subject to increasingly violent persecution.
We have brokered peace treaty after peace treaty between Israel and the Palestinians – from Camp David to Oslo to the Road Map for Peace – only to see the Palestinian side again and again trample upon its commitments to recognize and respect Israel’s basic right to exist.
I have offered you America’s outstretched hand. In doing so I have followed a path blazed by my predecessors. But that gesture of conciliation has never been reciprocated. And so now, even as my good will is still extended to you, I must act more realistically.
Pakistan and other Muslim countries will not receive another penny of American aid unless and until they demonstrate – in a transparent and inspectable fashion – that they are working against, not abetting, the forces of the global jihad. This will include instituting comprehensive nationwide programs to teach against the jihad doctrine of Islamic supremacism, teaching that Muslims and non-Muslims must live together as equal citizens on an indefinite basis, without any attempts by Muslims to subjugate non-Muslims as inferiors under the rule of Islamic law.
I trust you will understand that we cannot continue to fund the cutting of our own throat.
Afghanistan and Iraq must immediately guarantee the equality of rights of women and non-Muslims, or American arms will no longer devote themselves to keeping regimes in power that do not guarantee those rights.
I will call upon Israel to make no further territorial concessions. The withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 demonstrated only that such concessions whet, rather than sate, the appetites of Islamic jihadists for more concessions. The assumption that territorial concessions will bring peace ignores not only recent history, but also the stated goal of the jihadist movements arrayed against Israel: the destruction of the Jewish state.
That state is an American ally – a more reliable one than any Islamic state has ever been. And we will do whatever is necessary to preserve and defend that ally.
Our hand is outstretched, but we are not unrealistic about the nature of the world. The animus between us is as much, if not more, the result of the doctrines of jihad and Islamic supremacism as it is a result of American policy. I am telling you today that we understand this, and will be acting accordingly. Ultimately a policy based on realism will be much better for both of us than policies based on the fantasies and half-truths that have hitherto prevailed.
