“Creative Wording” Memo Scandal Brewing for New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Here’s hoping that this is the final nail in the coffin for the re-election campaign of possibly the most corrupt governor New Jersey has ever had (and that’s saying a lot!),

Governor Jon Corzine’s Chief of Staff Mark Matzen recently sent out a memo to state workers that urged them to write borderline false statements in support of the Governor’s failed policies that were supposed to create jobs in New Jersey, but has led to the highest rate of unemployment in New Jersey’s recent history.   This week, in New Jersey, unemployment climbed to 9.8%, but the Corzine campaign team urged state workers to forge ahead with the crafting of “creative” messages.

The messages, drafted by state workers, to aid the Corzine campaign in his reelection bid are intended to be used as political propoganda to mislead the public into thinking Corzine’s policies are having positive effects on the state of employment in New Jersey.

In the memo, Matzen admittedly confesses “I know that it may be a stretch for some of you, but please be creative”, urging the state workers to write creative marketing material for the Corzine team’s campaign.    All of this is being done at the expense of taxpayers.   While state workers should be working hard to restore jobs, they have been instructed by Matzen to instead figure out ways to make New Jersey’s current financial dire straits seem appealing to voters.

Matzen’s memo suggests a gross misappropriation of state workers and resources and could prove a costly measure for taxpayers who are now funding the Corzine campaign through taxes paid to state workers urged to work on the project.

Todd Porter said of this memo “It amazes me how low Corzine has gone to garner support. Since he’s unable to create jobs, he’s forcing state working to fabricate stories, or else they might end up like the rest of us, unemployed and clamoring for Jon Corzine’s head.”     Porter represents the Jackson Township Republican Club which has been strongly behind the effort to “Take Back New Jersey”.

Wonderful.  A sitting governor, encouraging state workers to lie about his record, on the taxpayers’ dime.  Unfortunately, this is nothing new.  Democrats routinely lie.  They lie and lie and lie.  How do you know a leftist Democrat is lying?  He’s awake and breathing, because even if he’s not actually saying anything, you can be sure he’s hard at work thinking of a lie to tell.   This is doubly true of the completely and indescribably corrupt Democrat political machine that dominates the state of New Jersey.

New Jersey is one of the most over-taxed, over-regulated, under-employed states in the union – and the governor is spending the peoples’ hard-earned money in a campaign to get himself re-elected by lying.  Classic, truly classic.  Instead of trying to bring jobs back into the state by implementing rational economic policies, we have a pure political hit job in action.  Why doesn’t Corzine just go all the way and send out a memo asking all state employees to get in touch with their mafia contacts about “leaning” on known Christie supporters?

C’mon New Jersey, time to toss Corzine in N’rk Bay once and for all!

Blistering Rhetoric From The Left – “Die Quickly” & “Holocaust In America”

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

As the Left lectures continues their full fledged morality campaign against what they are labeling offensive rhetoric -accusing anyone that dissents against President Obama’s policies as “racist”- their own are boldly, and apologetically redefining the term “offensive rhetoric”.

The response from those who are so outraged by the so-called “Republican fear mongering”, etc?  Crickets!

Behold their own, Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson.

“The Republicans want you to die quickly, if you get sick.”

“[Not voting for the Democrat's Health Care Bill is causing a] Holocaust in America”.

The hypocrisy is staggering!

House of Representatives Votes to Defund ACORN

Friday, September 18th, 2009

Great. Now where will pimps and whores go to get advice on tax evasion?

The House voted Thursday to deny all federal funds for ACORN in a GOP-led strike against the scandal-tainted community organizing group that comes just three days after the Senate took similar action. “ACORN has violated serious federal laws, and today the House voted to ensure that taxpayer dollars would no longer be used to fund this corrupt organization,” said second-ranked House Republican Eric Cantor of Virginia.

The vote, on a provision attached to a student aid bill, was 345-75, with Democrats supplying all the “no” votes.

On Monday the Senate voted 83-7 to deny housing and community grant funding to ACORN, which stands for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

Republicans accelerated their attacks on the liberal-leaning group a year ago when ACORN, in conducting a massive voter registration drive, was accused of submitting some false registration forms.

On a hidden-camera video released on Monday, two ACORN employees are seen apparently advising a couple that was posing as a prostitute and her pimp to lie about her profession and launder her earnings. The video was the latest in a series that has already led to the firing of four ACORN employees in Baltimore and Washington. It was created by James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles and posted on BigGovernment.com, where O’Keefe identifies himself as an activist filmmaker.

It’s telling that, even after ACORN got caught helping what they thought was a pimp and a prostitute cheat on taxes, 75 Democrats STILL voted against defunding the group. 75 Democrats think it’s perfectly alright for a group that essentially got caught in conspiracy to commit a federal felony to receive taxpayer funds. There’s something seriously, seriously wrong with the Democrat Party.

It should be interesting to see what the President does with this, since he was the one who resisted calls to remove ACORN funding from Porkulus earlier this year. The House and the Senate both have more than enough votes to override a veto. Obama surely won’t be so stupid as to set himself up for a crushing political defeat over something so ridiculous as a “community organizing” group, will he?

The First Snowball in the Avalanche?

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Remember back in 1994, how there were a ton of Democrat elected officials who switched to the GOP once they realised how unpopular, arrogant, and out of touch the Democrat Party was?  Well, it might be starting again, and in Vermont of all places,

State Auditor Tom Salmon entered the statehouse Tuesday as a Democrat, only to announce he was leaving that party and joining the GOP.

I’m changing my political affiliation to align myself with a party more committed to the realities of our fiscal condition,” he said, “and who I think have the abilities to manage the very real and troubling economic and social conditions which confront us not only today but over the next decade.”

Salmon said last session’s budget process was “rife with deficiencies and dysfunction.” He predicted poor planning would lead to tax increases, which would make the economy even worse.

”It was very evident the state was out of balance in trying to respond to its fiscal challenges,” he said. “So let me say simply that today is my fiscal wake-up call.”

Salmon’s father was a Democratic governor in the 1970s. He said the party has changed since then and no longer reflected his values.

In many ways I’m not leaving the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me and tens of thousands of other people in a reunion with the Progressive Party and their values,” Salmon said, “which are valid values, they just are not my values in relations to operating as a state political leader.”

Butbutbutbutbutbutbut the left wing bloggers told me that the Republicans were out of the mainstream, and were scaring people away, and were dooming themselves to oblivion by opposing Obama’s fiscal program!  You mean they were wrong?

May Tom Salmon be the first of many non-nutso Democrats who wake up and leave the dark side.

Civil Rights Commission Demands Voter Intimidation Answers

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

More problems on the horizon for the Obama misAdministration, as the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights begins poking its nose into the near-complete non-action by Eric Holder’s DoJ regarding several blatant, obvious cases of civil and voting rights violations perpetrated by the New Black Panthers against white voters trying to vote in Philadelphia last November,

The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights sent a letter in August to Attorney General Eric Holder, issuing a stinging rebuke to the Obama administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ).

A footnote in the letter criticized the DOJ’s dismissal of a Philadelphia voter intimidation case against a group called the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense (NBP). The footnote called the DOJ’s voluntary dismissal of the case “even more corrosive to the rule of law than the dismissal without comment.”

The DOJ filed a lawsuit in January under the Voting Rights Act against the NBP and three of its members alleging the defendants intimidated voters last election day. The complaint, filed in federal court in Philadelphia, alleged that NBP members Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson were standing at a polling location wearing a military-style NBP uniform while Mr. Shabazz repeatedly brandished a “police-style baton weapon.”

The complaint said NBP Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz confirmed that the placement of Mr. Shabazz and Mr. Jackson was part of a nationwide effort to deploy members at polling locations. The Justice Department initially sought an injunction to prevent any similar future actions.

None of the defendants responded to the lawsuit. However, instead of immediately filing for a routine default judgment, the DOJ voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit for two of the defendants – including Mr. Jackson, who was a Democratic Party poll watcher.

The DOJ only obtained an injunction against Samir Shabazz, which was granted on May 18. However, this has been criticized because it contained none of the usual conditions for such a case.

As noted in the letter from the Commission on Civil Rights, the injunction prevents Mr. Shabazz from brandishing a weapon at a polling place in Philadelphia. The Commission thought it unusual that such an injunction in a voting rights case only would prohibit something so specific, and limit it to a specific area.

The Commission’s six-page letter was sent following two inquiries sent in June to Acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta King, of the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division (CRD). These letters wanted more information about what they said was the “unusual dismissal of the government’s case against most of the defendants in United States v. New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense.” Commission chair Gerald A. Reynolds and Vice-Chair Abigail Thernstrom signed the letter.

The Commission also noted that an earlier reply from Portia Robertson, director of the Office of Intergovernmental and Public Liaison was “non-responsive to our questions,” adding that “to the extent it is responsive, it paints the [DOJ] in a poor light.”

[snip]

Other government officials are also demanding answers about this case and speculating that the DOJ has been politicized.

Rep. Frank Wolf, R–Virginia, said in a July 31 letter to Holder that he could only conclude that the decision to overrule the career attorneys in the CRD and DOJ who argued in favor of continuing the case was “politically motivated.”

Kudos to the USCCR for making noise about what appears to be a definite case of malfeasance on the part of the DoJ, headed up by the left-wing fanatic Eric Holder.  Kudos also to Rep. Wolf for getting involved.  This needs to get a lot more air time than it has to date, if for no other reason than for how destructive this matter is to the freedom and fairness of the American electoral system.  Groups like the New Black Panthers need to be made to understood that stationing armed, paramilitary-looking personnel outside of polling places and using them to discourage white voters is no more acceptable than racist white sheriffs using police dogs and fire hoses to keep blacks from the voting booth.  There are some NBP members who need to see the inside of a jail cell for a long, long time.

Notice also, the apparent collusion between Democrat Party personnel and the NBPs in this.

Cause I’m The Tax Man….Yea, I’m The Tax Man…

Let me tell you how it will be.  There’s one for you; nineteen for me…

View ImageAFL-CIO, Dems Push New Wall Street Tax

The nation’s largest labor union and some allied Democrats are pushing a new tax that would hit big investment firms such as Goldman Sachs reaping billions of dollars in profits while the rest of the economy sputters.

The AFL-CIO, one of the Democratic Party’s most powerful allies, would like to assess a small tax — about a tenth of a percent — on every stock transaction.

[Thea Lee, policy director at the AFL-CIO. said that] “The big disadvantage of most taxes is that they discourage some really productive activity,” she said. “This would discourage numerous financial transactions. People flip their assets several times in an hour or a day. They make money but does it really add to the productive base of the United States?

Lee said that taxing every stock transaction a tenth of a percent could raise between $50 billion and $100 billion per year, which could be used to pay for infrastructure projects and other spending priorities. She said the tax could be applied nationwide or internationally.

The AFL-CIO and some allied Democrats would like to cut down on the overall level of trading, or at least give the U.S. government a piece of the action, which would likely tamp down trading.

Democrats and labor officials would also like to take a bite out of Goldman’s profits. Liberals are angry the company, which immersed itself in the frenzy of speculation leading to last year’s financial collapse, is now making huge profits after accepting (and repaying) $10 billion in government aid. Goldman employees are on track to earn an average of more than $700,000 this year.

There is also a growing realization among Obama administration officials and lawmakers that tax increases may be necessary to curb the ballooning federal deficit.

Congress’ Travel On Taxpayer’s Dime Rises Tenfold

At this rate, the Dems are in for a mauling in 2010

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

More bad news for the Democrats from Rasmussen today – The Republicans continue to maintain a sizeable lead in generic congressional balloting, 43%-38%,

This summer brought a significant shift in voter preferences in the Generic Congressional Ballot. As Republican Congressional candidates once again lead Democrats by a 43% to 38% margin this week, this is now the ninth straight ballot the GOP has held a modest advantage.

Over the past nine weeks, Republicans have held a two-to-five point advantage over Democrats every week. It is important to note, however, that the recent shift is not only because Republicans have been gaining support, but that Democrats have slipped in support. While support for Republican candidates ranged from 41% to 43%, support for Democrats ranged from 37% to 39%.

Looking back one year ago, support was strikingly different for the parties. Throughout the summer of 2008, support for Democratic congressional candidates ranged from 45% to 48%. Republican support ranged from 34% to 37%.

Democrats held a six- or seven-point lead on the ballot for the first few weeks of 2009. That began to slip in early February, and from mid-April through June the two parties were roughly even.

Prior to the week of March 15, however, Democratic candidates held the advantage in on the Generic Ballot for several years.

My my, what could have happened this year to sink the Democrats?  Was it the quadrupling of the budget deficit through unnecessary and counterproductive spending?  Was it the absolute waste of $787 billion on a “stimulus” package that did nothing but line the pockets of Democrat cronies?  Was it the absolute negligence of the Democrats in forcing through unread bills that large majorities of the people didn’t want?  Is it the current attempt to nationalise and destroy the health care system in America, so that we’ll all end up having to wait two years for that treatment for our liver cancer?  Or is it the visible arrogance and contempt for their own constituents who are making their voices heard at the town halls?

Or is it all of the above?

The Democrats should keep in mind that trying to Gomer Pyle our health care system was what killed them back in 1994.  And the generic numbers Rasmussen is reporting look strangely like the numbers going into 1994’s midterm elections.    Just sayin’.

A couple of other tangential observations I would make about the recent polling data:

1) Turning the recent death of Ted Kennedy into another Wellstonepalooza is going to be about as well received by the general public as was the first Wellstonepalooza – which is to say, not very well at all.  If the Dems succumb to the obvious temptation to cynically exploit Kennedy’s death as an excuse to try to ride it for political advantage (as they already show signs of planning), it WILL backfire on them.  The Democrat’s shenanigans at Wellstone’s funeral showed them to be cynical, manipulative, and shallow.  Expect that image to be reinforced if they turn Kennedy’s funeral into a three-ring circus about health care.

2) For all the talk of how much it is supposedly “hurting” Republicans, the whole “birther” thing seems to have had about zero negative effect on their polling.  I’m not really into the birther thing myself, but it’s been hysterical seeing the marching morons come out of the woodwork with their dire predictions that asking about Obama’s birth certificate would somehow result in electoral destruction for the Republicans.  For, you know, showing a concern about the Constitution and stuff.

Georgia Democrat Demonstrates his Aversion to Democracy

Sunday, August 9th, 2009

Uh oh, yet another crazy Democrat elected official goes off the deep end when questioned about the ObamaCare proposals currently before Congress.  And, as is getting to be typical for these Democrats, while going crazier than a rodent residing in an outdoor water closet, he still manages to try to make it look like it’s the doctor who’s out of line,

Tensions are running so high at town hall meetings that Rep. David Scott, a Georgia Democrat, yelled at a local doctor concerned about health care after mistaking him for an “astroturf” political operative looking for a fight.

Mr. Scott became visibly agitated when one of his constituents, a practicing doctor, asked a few questions about health care reform during a town hall meeting. The meeting was held to discuss a road project, but was opened up for questions near the end. That’s when Dr. Brian Hill stood up to speak.

Dr. Hill asked Mr. Scott why he was going to vote for a health care plan similar to that implemented in Massachusetts “that is shown not to work” and if he supported a government-provided health care insurance option.

The congressman replied by accusing the doctor of “hijacking” his event.

“I’m listening to my constituents, OK?” Scott said, “These are people who live in the 13th Congressional district, who vote in this district. That’s who I’ve got to respond to … So what you’ve got to understand, those of you who are here, who have taken and came and hijacked this event we dealing with here, this is not a health care event.”

“You chose to come and to do it on your own,” he yelled. “Not a single one of you had the decency to call my office and set up for a meeting.” He went on, in a threatening voice, “You want a meeting with me on health care, I’ll give it to you!”

The outburst is yet another example of how confrontational town hall meetings have become over recent weeks, as constituents are becoming more forthright in asking their elected representatives challenging questions. These actions and other forms of protest have been encouraged by limited government advocacy groups opposed to the stimulus package, the Democrats favored health care reforms and other big spending government proposals.

The White House has labeled these efforts “astroturf”, shorthand for fake grassroots. To combat these efforts, groups supporting these plans — such as Service Employees International Employees Union — have been appearing at these town halls as well, effectively creating local “showdowns” between opposing political powers.

Mr. Scott’s public tirade against the doctor was filmed by WXIA-TV News, a local NBC affiliate that confirmed the doctor lived in the congressman’s district in a follow-up interview.

The doctor told WXIA he wasn’t working for any outside causes and had called Mr. Scott’s office repeatedly, asking to speak with the congressman.

“I did not go to a meeting to create any problems, I went to the meeting to literally ask a question that I thought was very, very important for my patients,” he said.

Despite all the nonsense being peddled around by the MSM and left-wing bloggers, this is usually the way these town hall meetings work.  Concerned citizens show up, ask questions, and get shouted at by elected officials, when they’re not being beaten up by SEIU thugs.

It must be a tremendously frustrating time to be a Democrat right now.  See, the plan was for all 1,000+  pages of Obamacare to have been rammed through the Congress and to the President’s waiting pen before the August recess.  This was supposed to be over and done by now.  It was all supposed to go so smoothly – write the bill and vote on it before anybody read it, before anybody had time to raise any opposition, before the people had time to figure out what was being shoved down their throats.   Obama wasn’t supposed to take any heat for this or lose points in the polls.  Congressmen weren’t supposed to actually have to answer any questions about the stupid thing.  No, it was perfect, until the wheels came off.

And the Democrats’ response to all this has been – as is typical for those on the Left – whiny, petulent, childish, and completely inappropriate.

Yes, you heard me right – it’s the LEFT that has been completely inappropriate in all this, not the town hall protestors.

Obama and the Democrats, apparently believing their own propaganda, are in a state of disbelief that there could really be this much opposition to the nationalisation and destruction of our health care system.  So, in their narrow little minds, it’s obviously “astroturf” – fake grassroots opposition being ginned up by a few well-financed special interest groups.   Because the American people would never oppose the things that Obama and Co. know are best for them, like waiting lists, taxpayer-funded abortion, and “end of life” counselling.  It’s obviously all fake.

Except that it’s not.  The polls are showing how deeply unpopular ObamaCare is, and how it is becoming more so over time.  I’ve talked to people who I know were never political, and others who are generally center-left, and they’re vociferously against this thing.   People who I didn’t even know voted are majorly angry about this bill.  The anger level about ObamaCare is palpable, and it’s real.  If the Dems want to stay inside their self-contained fact space and ignore the reality out there on the ground, then they will suffer the consequences at the polls in November 2010 – and they’ll probably whine about “vote fraud” when it happens, too.

Apparently, these Democrat Congressmen are still unclear on the concept of “representative government.”  And they obviously don’t have a clue what a town hall meeting is supposed to be.  Town hall meetings are for the citizens to air their concerns to their duly-elected representatives, not for the representatives to talk down at their constituents and lecture them on what they can and cannot think and speak about.  In that sense, it’s absolutely idiotic to talk about ObamaCare protestors “hijacking” these events.  Supposedly, the whole point to these events is for citizen protestors to air their grievances to their elected officials.  It’s that little thing called “freedom of assembly.”  It’s in the First Amendment.  You might have heard of it.

But let’s face it, “democracy” and “freedom” have never been strong points for those on the Left, and it’s showing as their frustration level mounts.  Responding to Obama’s recent call to “get in their faces,” we see SEIU union thugs beating up American citizens in St. Louis and Tampa for having the temerity to oppose ObamaCare.  And of course, you have nimrods on the Left who are defending this, saying the protestors “were out of line” since they were being louder than usual.  Of course, that is typically not the case.  Usually, the protestors are simply asking the Lefties questions they don’t want to answer, and doing so in a  reasoned manner not unlike this doctor in Georgia.  But even in cases where protestors are being loud and raucous, guess what?  That’s part of free speech.  The First Amendment doesn’t guarantee the right only to speech for which you approve of the content and tone.  My goodness, you want raucous, try reading some of the things that were written and said by our Patriot forefathers back before the Revolution.  It makes anything done today look like a Quaker prayer meeting.

But I guess only those on the Left are allowed to loudly protest something that has their blood boiling.  Which leads us back to the hypocrisy that characterizes the Left.

And now, we see the President of the United States and his staff actually creating a website and email address to which other lefties can “snitch” on people who won’t get with the program.   In other words, they can send an email in to the White House to narc on people who are spreading “disinformation” about the health care proposals before Congress, a setup which is not unlike the anonymous snitching that people were encouraged to do in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.   To date, the White House has defended this program, despite the fact that it is completely illegal under the US Code.   It is telling that, to date, the Administration has been completely unforthcoming about what the “disinformation” being turned in even is.

So no, I don’t think that the town hall protesters are at fault.  Who is at fault?  The Left.  The people who think being asked questions they don’t want to answer is “undemocratic.”  The people who think that citizen participation in the democratic process is “hijacking.”   The people who think that it’s perfectly legitimate to send in union thugs to bust heads on senior citizens concerned about the direction their health care will be taking.  The people who think they ought to be the only ones allowed to protest the actions of their government.  They people who think we’re “selfish” for wanting to keep our own hard-earned money instead of seeing it wasted on a health care boondoggle that will result in waiting lists, reduced quality of care, “end of life” counselling for grandma, and full funding of elective abortion with public funds.  The people who think that it would be even remotely acceptable to create a website encouraging citizens to anonymously “turn in” other citizens who hold differing political views.

They – the Left – are the ones who ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Congress’ Travel On Taxpayer’s Dime Rises Tenfold

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

While our Congress lectures us about how often we can use our thermostats, what cars we can drive, how we need to tighten our belts for the sake of the Country, how we are in a horrible recession and financial constraints, and regulating the salaries of Corporations,  they are gallivanting around the world with their families and friends on our dime.

http://www.drudgereport.com/pss.jpgWASHINGTON — Spending by lawmakers on taxpayer-financed trips abroad has risen sharply in recent years, a Wall Street Journal analysis of travel records shows, involving everything from war-zone visits to trips to exotic spots such as the Galápagos Islands.

The spending on overseas travel is up almost tenfold since 1995, and has nearly tripled since 2001, according to the Journal analysis of 60,000 travel records. Hundreds of lawmakers traveled overseas in 2008 at a cost of about $13 million. That’s a 50% jump since Democrats took control of Congress two years ago.

The cost of so-called congressional delegations, known among lawmakers as “codels,” has risen nearly 70% since 2005, when an influence-peddling scandal led to a ban on travel funded by lobbyists, according to the data.

In mid-June, Sen. Daniel Inouye (D., Hawaii) led a group of a half-dozen senators and their spouses on a four-day trip to France for the biennial Paris Air Show. An itinerary for the event shows that lawmakers flew on the Air Force’s version of the Boeing 737, which costs $5,700 an hour to operate. They stayed at the Intercontinental Paris Le Grand Hotel, which advertises rooms from $460 a night.

The lawmakers were invited to a dinner party at the U.S. Embassy and had cocktails at a private party at the Eiffel Tower. Mr. Inouye attended a dinner sponsored by the Aerospace Industries Association, a U.S. trade group. Another senator on the trip, Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby, took a cruise on the River Seine with defense-industry executives and elected officials from Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.

In February, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led a delegation of Democratic lawmakers to visit U.S. troops in Afghanistan for a day. Before landing in Kabul, the eight lawmakers and their entourage of spouses and aides spent eight days in Italy, spending $57,697 on hotels and meals.

Documents obtained by the Journal show that the cost of flying a small group of lawmakers to the Middle East is about $150,000. Larger trips on the Air Force’s version of the Boeing 757 cost about $12,000 an hour. Two federal agencies pay for most of the travel — the Defense Department and the State Department.

Democrats still planning on running against Bush

Monday, June 8th, 2009

This would be too funny if it wasn’t also pathetic. Democratic candidates are still sticking to the anti-Bush script from 2006 and 2008.

Democratic candidates adopt anti-Bush strategy

WASHINGTON — Many Democratic candidates are planning to run against two Republicans in the next election — their GOP opponent and former president George W. Bush.

When former U.S. attorney Chris Christie, a Bush appointee, won the Republican nomination for governor of New Jersey last week, Democratic incumbent Jon Corzine welcomed him to the race by attacking his former boss.

“I’m not about to put my trust in the same people who gave us George W. Bush, Dick Cheney or John Ashcroft,” Corzine said, throwing in Bush’s vice president and first attorney general for good measure.

The Corzine-Christie contest is this November. Other Democratic candidates will likely bash Bush throughout the 2010 election season, predicts Stuart Rothenberg, publisher of a non-partisan political newsletter. “You’ll hear Democrats say, President Obama is still trying to clean up the mess of the Bush years,” he says.

Bush is gone and I hope this strategy doesn’t work. The sad part is that there is a chance it might work since Bush is hated by the majority of the population. The Republicans should remind people that Bush is gone and not coming back.
