Statement from DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse on the Republican Party and Allied Groups’ Mob Rule

The Republicans and their allied groups – desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill – are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country.

However, much like we saw at the McCain-Palin rallies last year where crowds were baited with cries of ’socialist,’ ‘communist,’ and where the birthers movement was born – these mobs of extremists are not interested in having a thoughtful discussion about the issues – but like some Republican leaders have said – they are interested in ‘breaking’ the President and destroying his Presidency.

These mobs are bussed in by well funded, highly organized groups run by Republican operatives and funded by the special interests who are desperately trying to stop the agenda for change the President was elected to bring to Washington. Despite the headline grabbing nature of these angry mobs and their disruptions of events, they are not reflective of where the American people are on the issues – or the hundreds of thousands of thoughtful discussions taking place around kitchen tables, water coolers and in homes.

The right wing extremists’ use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the President’s citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are. This type of anger and discord did not serve Republicans well in 2008 – and it is bound to backfire again.

Does anyone else notice the blatant irony of this statement in this nothing but ad hominem hit piece? “these mobs of extremists are not interested in having a thoughtful discussion about the issues”.

This “right-wing extremist” wishes the Dhimmcrats into the corn field. Maybe somebody should report me here: flag@whitehouse.gov

Now in other desperate “right-wing extremist” news:

Michelle Malkins new book titled “Culture of Corruption” is # 1 on the NYT best sellers list.

Fox News reports a 50% increase in profits over last year.

Congressman Wants Government GPS In Cars, so we can be taxed accordinglythis time I am not kidding, I joked about On-Star and the new Government Motors, but this crap is real and stinky.

Tax Burden of Top 1% Now Exceeds That of Bottom 95%

From The Tax Foundation

Newly released data from the IRS clearly debunks the conventional Beltway rhetoric that the “rich” are not paying their fair share of taxes.

Indeed, the IRS data shows that in 2007—the most recent data available—the top 1 percent of taxpayers paid 40.4 percent of the total income taxes collected by the federal government. This is the highest percentage in modern history. By contrast, the top 1 percent paid 24.8 percent of the income tax burden in 1987, the year following the 1986 tax reform act.

[...]

To put this in perspective, the top 1 percent is comprised of just 1.4 million taxpayers and they pay a larger share of the income tax burden now than the bottom 134 million taxpayers combined.

And You Wonder Why We Think They’re Nuts

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

….the radical fruitcakes in the pro-abortion movement, that is.  Guess what, folks, John Holdren is the poster child of the pro-abortion, pro-death wing of American cretinism.

He wants “forced abortion and mass sterilisation.”

He doesn’t think babies – BORN babies – are  human until they’ve been “socialised” for a few years.

He thinks “global warming deniers” should face criminal prosecution.

And now we find out that this fruity-toot wanted to let trees sue people in a court of law,

Since the 1970s, some radical environmentalists have argued that trees have legal rights and should be allowed to go to court to protect those rights.

The idea has been endorsed by John P. Holdren, the man who now advises President Barack Obama on science and technology issues.

Giving “natural objects” — like trees — standing to sue in a court of law would have a “most salubrious” effect on the environment, Holdren wrote  the 1970s.

“One change in (legal) notions that would have a most salubrious effect on the quality of the environment has been proposed by law professor Christopher D. Stone in his celebrated monograph, ‘Should Trees Have Standing?’” Holdren said in a 1977 book that he co-wrote with Paul R. Ehrlich and Anne H. Ehrlich….

Stone’s article — “Should Trees Have Standing?” — which Holdren called a “tightly reasoned essay,” was published in the Southern California Law Review in 1972.

In that article, Stone plainly states: “I am quite seriously proposing that we give legal rights to forests, oceans, rivers and other so-called ‘natural objects’ in the environment–indeed, to the natural environment as a whole.”

Stone admits in the article that it may seem improbable to give legal rights to nonhuman objects, but likened it to finally giving rights to black Americans.

“The fact is, that each time there is a movement to confer rights onto some new ‘entity,’ the proposal is bound to sound odd or frightening or laughable,” Stone wrote.

So, this guy basically agrees with the premise that giving rights to trees and ponds is the same as giving rights to black people.   I wonder how black people feel about that.  Yet, this is the guy that Charles Johnson, the other mouth-breathers over at 1.0, and a host of other socially liberal nutballs think is a grade-A pick by Obama to advise him on science policy.  A guy who thinks an oak tree and an African-American are morally equivalent.

To quote, “Good grief.”

More Obummer “care”, now with taxpayer funded Abortions.

Washington (CNSNews.com) – House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) admitted Tuesday that there is dissension among House Democrats about whether the final health-care reform bill should include federal funding for abortions — so much so, that the issue is still under discussion in the Democratic Caucus.

So that’s how Obummer reduces the number of abortions, by making me and you pay for them. How many broken promises is that now President Obummer? Have you even kept one promise?

Jay Sekulow of the ACLJ has this to say:

“Abortion must never become a mandated ‘health benefit’ in our country,” said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ. “The President Obama-backed health care package is certain to result in a disturbing change that will make abortion part of the mandatory health care services to be covered by both government and private insurance plans.

Obummercare, Stop Calling it Health Insurance.

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Today’s email from teh One.

Dear Friend,

If you’re like most Americans, there’s nothing more important to you about health care than peace of mind.

Given the status quo, that’s understandable. The current system often denies insurance due to pre-existing conditions, charges steep out-of-pocket fees – and sometimes isn’t there at all if you become seriously ill.

It’s time to fix our unsustainable insurance system and create a new foundation for health care security. That means guaranteeing your health care security and stability with eight basic consumer protections:

No discrimination for pre-existing conditions
No exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays
No cost-sharing for preventive care
No dropping of coverage if you become seriously ill
No gender discrimination
No annual or lifetime caps on coverage
Extended coverage for young adults
Guaranteed insurance renewal so long as premiums are paid

Learn more about these consumer protections at Whitehouse.gov.

Over the next month there is going to be an avalanche of misinformation and scare tactics from those seeking to perpetuate the status quo. But we know the cost of doing nothing is too high. Health care costs will double over the next decade, millions more will become uninsured, and state and local governments will go bankrupt.

It’s time to act and reform health insurance, drive down costs and guarantee the health care security and stability of every American family. You can help by putting these core principles of reform in the hands of your friends, your family, and the rest of your social network.

Thank you,
Barack Obama

President Obama, stop calling Obummercare insurance. It is not insurance, it is nothing but socialized healthcare handouts on the tax payers dime. Insurance companies make money by charging premiums and not giving every Tom, Dick and Hairy a policy. Higher risks require higher premiums or its nothing but a losing proposition.

Ironically the “avalanche” of misinformation teh One speaks of will be coming from teh One himself. This guise of protecting “consumers” will not drive-down cost, it will have quite the opposite effect. The only way teh One will drive down cost is by doing what the government does now. They will simply dictate what the doctor can change and what the government is willing to pay. And common sense dictates that a root-canal that cost $1200 dollars last week but only $400 dollars this week, will not be the same quality root-canal.

How many business owners are willing to allow the government to dictate what they can and can not charge for their professional services and how many employees are willing to allow the government to dictate the most they can be paid?

Obummercare BS and scare tactics coming from teh One soon.

From the White House Website

The Administration believes that comprehensive health reform should:

1* Reduce long-term growth of health care costs for businesses and government
2* Protect families from bankruptcy or debt because of health care costs
3* Guarantee choice of doctors and health plans
4* Invest in prevention and wellness
5* Improve patient safety and quality of care
6* Assure affordable, quality health coverage for all Americans
7* Maintain coverage when you change or lose your job
8* End barriers to coverage for people with pre-existing medical conditions

1. So doctors, what you make now is all you will ever make. Forget about getting a pay raise, teh One needs to keep costs down.
2. Everything is free, well its not really “free” but it is for you. Someone else will have to foot the bill, so you don’t go into debt, save that for the new Plasma and surround sound system.
3. I smell an HMO, if you thought those were bad, wait until you have Obummercare.
4. More trips to the doctor for nothing and the doctor doesn’t make more money by doing more work. He now works more for much less money, thus the quality care we will all get.
5. See number 4
6. See number 4
7. Most companies have that already. But it will raise the cost of other things. No small business owner is not going to pass that extra cost onto their products or services.
8. So instead of a “family” going bankrupt over health costs, the health insurance company can go bankrupt, then all those families can lose their jobs. So their bankruptcies will be job based instead a lack of health insurance based.

Man that Obummer sure is a smart guy!

Will Republicans snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

I can’t help but imagine that it’s tough being a Republican on Capitol Hill these days. After losing two elections in a row, the GOP found itself below 200 members in the House for the first time since 1994. In the Senate, the GOP has been reduced once again to super-minority status. A good deal of acrimonious commentary has been written back and forth within the conservative punditariat as to why this happened, but regardless, the GOP finds itself in the unenviable position of being not only a minority Party, but a completely powerless minority Party at that.

I happen to be one of those who think that the GOP lost the past two elections because it got away from its basic, foundational principles — principles that are represented by both fiscal and social conservatism. In short, the GOP drifted too far to the center and was punished by the voters for it. The GOP took its base and conservative-leaning independents for granted, and they did not come out in the numbers needed this time around to put McCain over the top. Eight years of massive social spending, prescription drug programs, No Child Left Behind, mounting deficits, etc. etc. destroyed the Republican Party’s reputation for fiscal responsibility. By driving off a portion of its core of most committed voters, the GOP sealed its own fate in 2008. If nothing else, we would hope that the Republican Party learned an important lesson from all of this.

The evidence is readily available to substantiate this reasoning. After all, we can all see the results from last November’s election — while McCain (the centrist) lost, socially conservative ballot initiatives on issues ranging from gay marriage to affirmative action to adoption by unmarried parents (understood to be about gays as well) won handily all across the country, even in neon Blue states like California. Poll after poll after poll taken since last November show increasing numbers of Americans self-identifying as conservative, supporting pro-life positions, opposing Obama’s economic policies across the board, and supporting common sense measures to end illegal immigration. The further Obama goes with his Marxist agenda of government nationalization of industry, increased taxation via Cap-and-Tax, and socializing our health care system, the lower his approval ratings drop.

None of this is a surprise — Obama didn’t win the election so much because the majority of people in this country really, really fell in love with socialism and thought it’d be great to go for it with both barrels blazing. Obama won for two reasons. One, he was able to deceptively portray himself a fiscal moderate-conservative, promising tax cuts to “95% of all Americans” and streamlining wasteful government spending — something which McCain, who had poo-pooed tax cuts until around the September before the election when he finally realized that the issue plays well, was unable to parry. Secondly, many people just didn’t like McCain. He didn’t appeal to crossover voters, and he especially didn’t appeal to the conservative base and likeminded independents who wanted less government and a stronger country. Post-election analyses seem to suggest that McCain actually drove off white voters — who tend to be the most conservative, and who still make up the large majority — especially in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, where he could have really used them.

The short and simple interpretation of the data that we have on hand is that the majority of the people in this nation don’t want the left-wing agenda. They don’t want the government picking their pockets. They don’t want government destroying economic recovery. They don’t want the government facilitating the left-wing in imposing its radical social agenda onto us. They don’t want the government sliding in yet another tax under the radar, using the spurious notion of “man-made global warming” as an excuse. They don’t want the government destroying the health care system so that we have to ration care and so that our senior citizens will be denied the care that they disproportionately need.

Especially the last. By even bringing up the issue of socializing health care and establishing a “single-payer” system where health care resources suddenly become a much scarcer commodity overall, the Democrats and Obama are playing with political fire. Lest we forget, HillaryCare was one of the catalysts that gave the Republicans control of both houses of Congress in 1994. We’re already seeing opposition to the bill before Congress grow to such levels that support for it will be political suicide for many “Blue Dog” Democrats — and the bill’s barely two weeks old. The polls already show that a majority are against this health care “reform.” The longer the legislative process takes, the more people will read this bill, learn what it contains, and start hammering their Congressmen to vote “Nay” on it.

But this is where the typical Republican tin ear towards what is politically best for themselves — and us — could come into play. See, the Republicans in Congress, especially in the Senate, have a problem with maintaining control over their own Party. There are too many Republicans who like to play the “go-along-to-get-along” game, though the only place they typically go with the Democrats is over a barrel. Too many GOP elected officials pay far too much attention to what a hostile mainstream media says, and not enough to what their own base and to what the American people are saying. If they do this with respect to the health care bill before Congress, they will destroy a golden opportunity to get back into the good graces of the voters.

As Voice of America reports, Kent Conrad, the Democrat from North Dakota who chairs the Senate Budgetary Committee, has publicly admitted that the President’s Party does not have the votes needed to clear this bill through the Senate, despite holding a 60-seat supermajority. To pass it, they are acknowledging that they will need votes from the Republican minority. What does this mean? It means that there is at least one clown-car load of Democrats in the Senate who realize this bill is a loser, and who aren’t voting for it. It also means that — yet again — the Democrat leadership is hoping that enough Republican dupes will go along with the bill to save their bacon, as has already happened a number of times this session.

Politically speaking, that would be a tremendously bad thing for the Republican leadership to allow to happen. The Republican Party already has a (well-earned) “branding” problem that makes the public skeptical of its claims to fiscal responsibility. Being involved in passing a bill that will both socialize as well as destroy the best health care system in the world would not do anything to improve that image. Helping ObamaCare to become a reality would also give the Democrats impeccable political cover. After all, four years down the road when people are on three-year waiting lists to get heart surgery and the average life expectancy has dropped to the high 60s because senior citizens can’t get the care they need, why would the voters punish the Democrats specifically when it was Republicans who also helped to make the blasted thing a reality in the first place? Rather than blaming the Democrats and voting for the Republicans, voters will just despise both parties, but then vote their normal patterns.

The GOP needs to learn that you don’t earn political capital just because voters hate the other guy. You need to present a clear alternative and a clear program that makes you the attractive alternative. In today’s political climate, this should be a no-brainer for the GOP. Even if the Party won’t do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, they should at least do it because it’s politically advantageous for them to do so. But it won’t happen unless the GOP leadership can get a handle on folks like Senators Collins, Snowe, Murkowski, and other Senate GOP “moderates.” They cannot let a few “mavericks” continue to destroy the image of the Party in the eyes of the people at large. This upcoming health care “reform” bill, so despised by the actual American people, will be a very important “make or break” opportunity for the GOP to show that it has turned from its wicked ways and gotten back onto the strait path of smaller government and fiscal responsibility.

President Obummer: ‘Victory’ in Afghanistan not our “goal.”

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

From Fox News:

President Obama has put securing Afghanistan near the top of his foreign policy agenda, but “victory” in the war-torn country isn’t necessarily the United States’ goal, he said Thursday in a TV interview.

Nuance. Its clear why Americans vote of a Republican when we want to “win” wars. Dhimmicrats just don’t get it. If we are not there to win or achieve “victory” then why are we wasting money and life for a losing cause. Obummer gets dumber by the minute.

“I’m always worried about using the word ‘victory,’ because, you know, it invokes this notion of Emperor Hirohito coming down and signing a surrender to MacArthur,” Obama told ABC News.

The only problem with that Mr President, Emperor Hirohito didn’t sign the instrument of surrender. Mr President should I be worried that you the commander and chief are such a clown when it comes to our own history? Is goggle not available at the White House? Mr President, didnt you claim that your administration was the most technologically advanced?
So then what is your excuse for not being able to get it right, are you really this stupid?

Mr President, here is a little history lesson for your dumb ass, just make sure TOTUS gets the memo, cause we all know where the real brains are.

2 September 1945
After finishing his introductory statement General MacArthur directed the representatives of Japan to sign the two Instruments of Surrender, one each for the Allied and Japanese governments. At 9:04 AM, Foreign Minister Shigemitsu signed, followed two minutes later by General Umezu.

Ok, so it’s a given that Obummer is ignorant of our own history. That aside, why is invoking the memory of the Japanese surrender a bad thing? Does December 7th, 1941 ring a bell in that thick head of his? President Obummer, if you are not in it to win, then just get the hell out, you defeatist bastard.

Obummercare – First Lady style.

Reports link the First Lady to patient dumping. Via Hot Air & Fox News

And this report from the Chicago Sun Time, dated Aug 2008.

“I’ve heard complaints from a handful of constituents, but I’ve also had calls from people in the health care profession complaining,” said Ald. Toni Preckwinkle, whose 4th Ward is just north of the hospital. “The medical professionals who have come to me are accusing the university of dumping patients on its neighboring institutions. … Whether it’s being implemented in the way that’s in the best interest of the patient, I can’t tell you.”

Perhaps we should start calling it what it is. Obummer-care

Obummercare Dead In The Senate?

Breaking news: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV, and Sen. Little Dick Durbin, D-IL, say the Senate will not attempt to pass Obummercare™ before its August recess, which is another way of saying they don’t have anywhere near the votes to pass it. The Zero™ must be pissed! Heh.

Obummercare dealt fatal blow in the U.S. Senate

Obama lie of the week:

“I am very worried about federal spending,” Obama said. “But health care reform is not going to add to that deficit. It’s designed to lower it. That’s part of the reason why it’s so important to do, and to do now.”

I’m shocked his nose didn’t grow as he said it, and of course the useful idiots in the mainstream media don’t even bat an eye as he said it. If anyone believes Obummercare™ is going to lower America’s healthcare costs, as my Dad used to say to me when I was a kid, “You believe in the Easter bunny!”

Hat tip to Bar for Obummercare™.

America’s European President

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

You can often tell a lot about a man by looking at those who approve of him. This was shown last week during Obama’s whirlwind tour of Russia, Italy, and Ghana. He practically gave away the whole house when he was in Moscow, agreeing to limit America’s nuclear arsenal, while also putting an effective halt to the missile defense program that would protect our erstwhile allies in Europe from Russian extortion – so we can be pretty sure the Russians like him now. In Italy, we were treated to the spectacle of Old Europe’s socialist leaders (and remember, even “right-wingers” like Italy’s Berlesconi and Germany’s Merkel would be moderately-left Democrats here in America) praising Obama for “doing everything right so far” with respect to his foreign policy. Then, in Ghana, we see him acclaimed as the Messiah while he gives a tear-jerker of a speech about the slavery his ancestors never endured, while at an historic slaver’s fort through which his ancestors were never processed.

Yes, even as his approval ratings continue to slump among the people whose country he is in the process of weakening overseas and impoverishing at home, it would seem that our President continues to maintain his popularity in the Old World.

We shouldn’t be surprised by this, especially as it relates to the conduct of his foreign policy to date. Obama’s approach, while making no sense whatsoever to Americans who operate from a starting point of common sense, is the fulfillment of all the hopes and dreams entertained by the radical Left on both sides of the Atlantic. In their world, support for Israel – the only country with a truly open, free, and democratic society in the Middle East that doesn’t have to be constantly maintained by the threat of intervention from its own military (thus ruling out Turkey) – is absolutely indefensible. On the other hand, support for the Palestinians – whose whole existence is predicated on the need to commit genocide against the Jews – is noble and righteous. Among the Leftists, strengthening ties with free and capitalistic nations in Latin America is bad, but pandering to Marxist thugs like Chavez and Ortega is good. Pursuing a policy of building relationships and defense ties with Eastern European nations that escaped the yoke of Soviet Russian domination is “imperialism”, but tossing these nations like sacrificial lambs to Russian neo-imperialists is simply good form. As in every other area, Obama is a solid Leftist in his approach to foreign policy.

What this means is that, regardless of what might be said about his Kenyan origins and birth certificate, or lack thereof, Obama is America’s first European President.

Obama’s foreign policy approach seems to operate from fundamentally European assumptions. Even the “Right” in Old Europe holds to these, just as much as the Left. These assumptions are often diametrically opposed to American approaches – not just from the perspective of realpolitik and the pursuit of disparate national interests, but also from the very basic and foundational presuppositions under which each side operates.

Here in America, we understand that diplomacy needs to be backed by something distinctly non-diplomatic. “Walk softly, and carry a big stick,” and all that. Reagan knew this – which is why he would deal with the Soviets diplomatically, but at the same time was strengthening our military preparedness that the feckless Carter had allowed to languish. This is why the Soviet’s felt not the least bit inhibited in trying to advance world Communism militarily in Afghanistan in 1979. Carter, unlike his successor, was a weak leader who lacked the will to back up American interests with the threat of military action.

The Europeans, on the other hand, existed for so long under America’s military umbrella that they forgot what it means to operate an independent foreign policy that can’t afford to rely on “soft power” alone. Western Europeans grew complacent, softening and feminizing their societies through the building of expensive cradle-to-grave welfare states that didn’t allow any room for substantial military power to be built. As they moved Left en masse, they accepted the suppositions implanted by democratic socialism (as well as Soviet agents in the West) that there is nothing worth fighting for, that every problem can be solved by sitting down in a committee and talking it over until a mutually agreeable compromise is achieved. While this may work well when one soft, complacent society negotiates with another, it doesn’t work so well when one of the “partners” is an Iran or a North Korea who couldn’t care less about civilized sensibilities. Unfortunately, this seems to be exactly what Obama, like Old Europe, doesn’t understand – if you aren’t willing to use “hard power”, then “soft power” is “no power.”

Also, Obama’s foreign policy appears to fundamentally assume that advancing American national interests, as opposed to “world” interests, is wrong. In his mind, like that of “progressive” Europeans, nationalism is bad, while globalism is good. He seems to think that it is more important for the rest of the world to be happy with us, than it is for America to be safe, strong, and prosperous. Much of it is his typically socialist predilection for working through the UN and other globalist agencies, as opposed to the traditional and constitutional reliance upon home-grown American policy-making. Part of it may also be Obama’s own personal narcissism – being President allows him to “big up” his own popularity not just in Illinois, but the world over. Unfortunately, because most of the rest of the world (including Old Europe) has a fundamental interest in strengthening their own positions at the expense of the United States, the way in which Obama can accrue this popularity from the rest of the world is largely by selling out traditional American interests and cutting the legs out from under our nation’s moral and military leadership.

This is why Obama has largely spent his overseas travel time to date apologizing to anyone and everyone who will listen for the “sins” of America. The world is his father confessor, so to speak. Instead of focusing on what America has done right, he has sought expiation for what we’ve done wrong – both real and imagined. And to make it up to the world, he’s going to reverse the course that his predecessors followed that kept America and her allies strong and safe. Missile defense in Poland and the Czech Republic to protect our friends from Russian domination? Sure, Vlad, we’ll scrap that. Supporting our staunch ally Israel? We’ll scale that back, and vastly expand the money we send to the Palestinians. He goes to Africa and apologizes for America’s part in slavery. Yet, he fails to point out that the slave trade was started by Muslims from North Africa long before any European had set foot on the Slave Coast.

Obama also seems to hold to the European doctrine of multipolarity. To the European policy-makers, having a quasi-unipolar system in which peace is maintained by the military and economic power of a hyperpower is bad (especially when Europe isn’t the hyperpower). To the socialist mind, the fact that the hyperpower is (or at least was) based upon a relatively capitalistic and free-market system is abominable. Combine these in the thinking of Leftists like Obama and the Old Europeans, and you have the present drive to create a multipolar world in which American influence and power is reduced at the expense of advancing rivals to American “hegemony”, the more antagonistic these rivals, the better. The problem is, the reason these rivals are especially antagonistic to America is because they embody political and philosophical systems that are diametrically opposed to our – they are totalitarians, dictatorships, theocracies, imperialists, and so forth. It even goes so far as looking the other way while regimes like Iran develop nuclear weapons capabilities, and turning a weak knee to North Korea when it fires missiles over our allies in Japan. The Left in Europe and its emulators in America end up having to lie in bed with a whole lot of nasty characters in their push to bring America down to size.

In summation, we see that President Obama is taking our nation on a course that will reduce American moral authority, American power, and American influence generally. He does so because he operates from a mindset not unlike that held by socialists in Old Europe – countries like France and Germany where inordinate governmental power is held by an array of Communists, Greens, and other far Left groups. Unfortunately, the real world results from this will be neither happy nor prosperous for our planet, as we can expect North Korean dictators and Iranian theocrats to grow bolder and bolder. The post-Obama world will be much more nasty, brutish, and Hobbesian than it would have been otherwise.

“Moderate” Fatah Official: “Our Goal is Not Peace, but Rather Palestine”

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Photo:<!--###IMAGE_BRIEF###-->Palestinian Media Watch once again proves that the terrorists from Fatah (”Moderate” Mahmood Abbas/Abu Mazen’s Party and the ones the U.S. are building a professional army for, with your tax dollars), openly admit their true intent, and state that any “peace” created will only be a means to their ultimate goal of destroying Israel.

_________________________________________

_________________________________________

This discussion on public “Palestinian” T.V.  again proves that despite the West’s continuous desires, Fatah is no less committed to Israel’s destruction than Hamas.

Kifah Radaydeh, the deputy head of the Jerusalem chapter of Fatah, says openly that the PA will resume violence and terror against Israel when Fatah is “capable,” and “according to what seems right.” “It has been said that we are negotiating for peace,” she further stated, “but our goal has never been peace. Peace is a means; the goal is Palestine.”

Just like their founder Yassir Arafat, they know to say one thing to the usefull West, and to work for another with their fellow Arab Muslims.  Kifah Radaydeh however is not a lone “extremist”, as her statements are part of the overall Fatah policy.

Fatah MP Najat Abu Bakr said in a PA TV interview last year that Fatah’s goal remains the destruction of Israel, but that their political plan is to focus on returning to the 1967 borders. He stated “It doesn’t mean that we don’t want the 1948 borders,” Abu Bakr said, referring to all of Israel,” but rather that “our current political program is to say that we want the 1967 borders.”

Also, just four months ago, senior PA official Mohammed Dahlan stressed that Fatah adamantly refuses to recognize Israel, and that even the Palestinian Authority’s recognition is only for the sake of receiving foreign aid: “…the Fatah movement does not recognize Israel, even today… [such recognition is] required of the government but not of the Fatah, so that this government will be able to offer the necessary assistance, to carry out the necessary reconstruction, to offer assistance to the sick, to bring relief to needy families… This can be dealt with [only] by a government that has relations with the international community, one that is acceptable to the international community, in order that we can work together and benefit from the international community.”

The terrorists of Fatah/PLO have been lying to the West, and getting away with it, for decades.  It is never the Arabs whom state that they are going to accept a “two-state” solution, or “peace” as their ultimate goal.  This is simply what the West, including our current administration, wants to hear – so they do. Even today the West demands a “settlement freeze” from Israel, stating it is a requirement for “peace” even though the Phakestinians openly state that this won’t make a difference.  On these confused beliefs of what the Phakestinians want, and what will bring about a resolution to the Arab-Israel conflict, despite the Arab’s own statements to the contrary, the EU is even calling on the UN to impose “peace” on Israel.

If the world listened to the actual words of the Arab/Muslims, and not just what they want to hear, they would see why all of their attempts at gaining “peace in the Middle East” have failed miserably.  The Arab/Muslim goal since the increased influx of Jews to the region, (even before 1948) has always been the same: destroy Israel (kill the Jews).  Carl in Jerusalem posted a brilliant video showing how little the aims of the PLO and Fatah have changed over the last sixty years since Israel’s creation, and another evidencing how the charges Israel was being called to answer to fifty years ago are remarkably similar to the charges made against her today.

The PLO/Fatah/Abu Mazen/Mahmood Abbas policy hasn’t changed, and was placed on paper, and made “official” in the 1974 PLO Phased Plan.

They keep saying it……so when will the West start listening?
