The Republicans should ignore the Progressive based conventional wisdom

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Good Morning Blogmocracy Netizens! I hope every one slept well and you are ready for a new day. The humidity is gone here in the Tampa area and it’s a nice 60’s degree morning.

The Progressive establishment in Washington and the media pundits are claiming that the GOP is moving too far to the Right. The establishment Crypto-Progressive Republicans like Kathleen Parker, David Frum and David Brooks are also in agreement with this analysis. These pundits should be ignored as they are not Conservative/Libertarian. They are influenced by Progressive thinking. These are submissive Republicans who like being abused by Democrats. They suffer from Stockholm Syndrome and should be ignored or mocked.

Today is Election Day. In Washington’s corridors of power, politicians and pundits are pacing like expectant fathers. Fair or not, today is being cast as a referendum on the Obama administration’s first year in office and a window to the crucial midterm elections next year.If Republicans do well particularly in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial contests moderate Democrats might go wobbly in their support for President Obama’s agenda.

Democrats might like health care reform, but they like getting re-elected even more.

A Democratic loss in New Jersey, one of the country’s most reliably Democratic states and where Obama won by roughly 15 points in 2008, would be an unspinnable debacle for the Democrats. That’s why Obama has, like Johnny Sack from The Sopranos, all but moved to New Jersey to oversee his interests there. Even if the unpopular incumbent, Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine, manages to squeak by with a victory, the message for Democrats might not be all that heartening.

Jonah Goldberg’s analysis is spot on. He of all people understands the evil nature of Progressivism. His book Liberal Fascism rips the happy smiling face off the Progressive movement. He is a pundit we should listen to and I admit his book lead me to research Progressives.

Republicans can’t win as Progressive-lite, they have been doing this since 1996 with mixed results. Now the Progressives have total domination of America and it must be broken. The GOP needs to offer a rightwing vision of freedom that contrasts with the Left’s totalitarian vision of control. The GOP needs to ignore the Beltway Conservatives, they are collaborators and and should be shunned. They are part of the Progressive Machine and are our enemies as well.

It’s Reality Check Time for the Republican “Leadership”

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

Uh oh, the right wing fanatic at Renew America isn’t at all happy with the present “leadership” of the GOP,

To state the blindly obvious, the Republican Party establishment — by which I mean the network of advisers, elected office-holders, Party organs, and higher-level Party officials who primarily determine the direction in which Party policy and Party money goes — is politically tone deaf. All across this country, you have Tea Parties and town halls bursting with the frustration of the common man who is seeing himself becoming the victim of a political class that has absolutely no concern about his wants and desires. Poll after poll after poll, on every issue imaginable, show that the American people are opposed to, well, pretty much everything that Obama and the Democrats in Congress are trying to do. There is clearly an opportunity being handed to the Republican Party on a golden platter to utterly destroy the Democrats on health care, cap-and-steal, the Porkulus spending, the deficits, the war in Afghanistan, and any number of other pressing issues. For the first time that I can remember, voters have told Rasmussen that they trust Republicans more than Democrats on all ten of the “trust issues” that Rasmussen tracks — including Democrat-friendly issues like health care, education, and social security. That’s without the Republicans even really doing anything — that’s a sign of how badly people don’t like the way the Democrats are handling this government.

So what has the GOP leadership done with this extremely favorable political landscape? They’ve let it grow weeds through their inaction, and have sprayed Roundup on what little green grass remains left. Many of the Republican elected officials in Congress seem to trip over themselves in their zeal to “reach across the aisle” to accommodate Democrats, thereby giving the Evil Party bipartisan cover with which to defuse voter anger when election day comes. Instead of distancing themselves from this Obamacare monstrosity and attacking it at every turn, they’re silent (at best) or quietly finding ways to add enough stuff that they want so as to justify voting for it — witness the evil twins from Maine, one of whom (Olympia Snowe) recently voted to move one of the more egregious versions out of committee so that it is one step closer to becoming a reality.

Establishment Republicans have also taken pains to loudly and arrogantly distance themselves from those leading figures — like Sarah Palin — who speak for the conservative base and aren’t ashamed of it. For example, we see Steve Schmidt and other former McCain staffers doing their level best to pin every ill of the poorly-ran McCain campaign on Palin, accusing her of being a “drag” on the ticket. That’s a tin ear, folks. If it weren’t for Palin, McCain would not have merely lost badly, he’d have been blown out roundly. She was the only thing that even came near to salvaging that catastrophe. No, the blame for McCain’s poor showing rests with McCain himself — with his reaching across the aisle, with his telling the voters not to be afraid of an Obama presidency (???), with his out-of-step position on illegal immigration and so forth.

Yet, this leadership caste in the Republican Party looks down its nose at conservatives, viewing us with disdain. We’re not “respectable.” We don’t fit into the good ol’ boy network of backslapping, backroom deals, compromise, PAC-funded vacations, $1000-a-plate fundraisers, and nice words from the media elite. Conservatives are “scary” because they hold to moral values which would go against the way the Republican elites live, and our views on fiscal issues would hinder the elite from successfully playing the “go-along-to-get-along” game of buying votes and favor out of the public largesse.

The Conservative Revolt against the Republican Establishment

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Goodmorning Blogmocracy Netizens! I hope everyone slept well and will have a great day! For once I have good news to discuss with everyone.

The Republican Establishment is a failed group of political cowards. The Progressives constantly attack and humiliate them. Instead of fighting back, they try to appease their enemies and suck up to them. This is not acceptable to the Conservative/Libertarian grass roots anymore. For too long under Bush and McCain’s flopped 2008 Campaign, the Right was prevented from going after the political jugular. However, those days are over now!

In NY’s 23rd Congressional District, the Republican Establishment picked a Progressive Republican who supports Eugenics. She received the Margaret Sanger award in 2008. Margaret Sanger was a supporter of eugenics and the extermination of inferior races. The concept of racism and eugenics is a Progressive idea no that Republican should endorse. By accepting this award, Dede Scozzafava has disqualified herself as a legitimate candidate. Doug Hoffman is the true Conservative in the race and many Republicans are flocking to him. He should have been the GOP nominee and not a Progressive Republican.

Silvan Johnson adores Sarah Palin, belongs to a conservative discussion group and fumes at President Obama’s spending policies. But when it comes to picking a new congressional representative for her upstate New York district, she is in no mood to help the Republican Party.

In fact, Johnson and many other conservatives want to use a Nov. 3 special election to teach the GOP a lesson about sticking to conservative values — even though that lesson could mean the party loses a House seat it has held for decades. The conservatives are backing a third-party candidate, splitting the Republican vote and giving the Democrat a lead in some recent opinion polls.

“Both parties seem to be more for big government,” said Johnson, a probation clerk in Fulton, N.Y. “The Republicans need to learn that the people they are running [for office] do not represent the views of the people.”

I am not one for political purity. I believe the GOP should run candidates that reflect their districts and region. For example in the Northeast and West Coast, we should run Libertarians and in the South/Midwest run Conservatives. However with Progressives Republicans I draw the line. Progressivism is a disease destroying America from within and the Republican Party should have nothing to do with it. The problem is that most of the establishment is actually Progressive which is why they are supporting Dede Scozzafava.

It is time for Conservative/Libertarians to stand up and tell them “We will not support Progressive Republicans. Dough Hoffman is the real Republican in this race and I support him. Progressives, whether they are Democrats or Republicans, should all be defeated!”

It is time for a Progressive Free America!

Update: 2 New Polls are now shoing Hoffman with the lead! A Club for Growth poll shows him in the lead with 31.3% and another one shows him in the lead with 34%. The major polling firms still haven’t come out with updated polls.

America Resembles a Banana Republic

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Good morning Blogmocracy Netizens! I hope everyone is fine and slept well. My health has improved and I can tell you one thing, the flu shot I took didn’t prevent me from coming down with one! That being said, it probably did help me fight it off better than if I didn’t get one. As always I have to bring you the bad news as a result of our Progressive masters.

Moody’s, which does credit rating for governments and corporations has issued a warning. They are claiming that the USA’s AAA Credit rating is in danger. The US budget deficit is at an unsustainable level and if no improvement is done in the next few years, we will lose our rating status. Should this happen, interest rates would skyrocket and our dollar even more devalued. America is starting to resemble a Banana Republic, thanks to our irresponsible Progressive policies.

the_week_11856_27

Is the decline in the dollar merely a “return to normalcy” story, as many bulls contend, and not a harbinger of a coming currency crisis?

Short version: The 2008 financial crisis and ensuing collapse in confidence drove investors to dollars and dollar-based instruments. And as the crisis has ebbed, investors are rebalancing back toward riskier assets.

Thus the falling dollar should rightly be interpreted as a sign of “new economic optimism,” argues JPMorgan Chase economist Jim Glassman.

Then again, perhaps future economic historians will look back at this stage of the dollar’s decline as the currency calm before the storm. Because at some point, investors may suddenly realize that America’s already somewhat devalued currency should not be trusted.

A Banana Republic does aptly describe the US in 2009. Our President has a cult like following where any criticism of him is ridiculed. The Administration is trying to silence the opposition press and control the rest of the media. A senior Administration member is an admirer of Mao, just like all Progressive Radicals are. The government is printing money without regards to consequences. All of these actions are reminiscent of totalitarian Progressive regimes like Cuba or Venezuela. Is this what we want America to turn into?

Unfortunately, the damage being done by Progressives will take years to fix. In the meanwhile, they are turning America into a 3rd World Totalitarian Progressive Banana Republic. As Americans we deserve better. But when the opposition party is afraid to fight back what are we to do? We need to keep exposing this agenda and vote for candidates who will resist this agenda! America must not be allowed to go the route of Argentina. That will be a future post!

An Example of Republican Appeasement

Friday, October 16th, 2009

The Progressive Movement is ruthless and shows no mercy. Over the last 8 years they have launched non stop attacks on George W Bush and destroyed his Presidency and the Republican Party. They then launched vicious attacks on McCain and did him in. Their response to these attacks, just sit back, smile and take the “High Road”. This strategy has lead to America falling to a tyrannical Totalitarian Progressive regime which is looking to impose a Neo-Feudal system on us. In an example of Republican appeasement, George HW Bush will meet with Obama and give advise.

obama_bush_sr_1015

There is a long tradition of sitting Presidents courting, relying on and even plotting with their predecessors, and the latest chapter is set to unfold Friday afternoon when former President George Herbert Walker Bush, accompanied by former Secretary of State James Baker, greets Barack Obama as he steps off a Marine Corps helicopter in College Station, Texas.

At Bush’s invitation, the 44th Commander in Chief is paying a long-planned visit to the home of Bush’s presidential library to mark the 20th anniversary of the voluntarism initiative begun by the former President in 1989.

This is pathetic and shows the Bush clan have no pride. His son was attacked without mercy by Obama and the Progressives, yet he will meet with this Traitor. This is no shocker, George Bush Sr. is himself another Quisling Naive Republican that raised taxes to appease the Left and didn’t fight back when the Progressive media launched non stop attacks on him. This was the blueprint the Totalitarian Progressives would use a decade later to destroy Bush Jr and the Republicans. What doesn’t shock me is that James Baker is meeting with Barack Obama also. Baker is a known anti-Semite Israel hater like Obama is, so they both agree on that issue.

The Republican Party needs to fight back against the Progressives. They should learn from Glenn Beck and go for the jugular of the Progressives and launch non stop attacks. Unlike their side The GOP doesn’t need to use lies, all they have to do is show the evil nature of the Progressive movement. However they prefer to get beat up,  smile and stay classy. It is time to purge the GOP of Progressive Quislings and put in place fighters who can use the tactics of Alinsky against the Left. Another possibility is that it is time for a new political party. One that stands against Progressivism and is not afraid to fight!

Update: Let this story be a warning to the Republican Party and their lack of not figting back.

Update II: I apologize to any Blogmocracy Netizen who was offended by me calling Bush a quisling. He is just an Elitist Naive fool like most of the Republican establishment. I let my frustration at seeing another Republican licking the boots of the Progressives get the better of me.

Special thanks to Lincolntf, Nevergiveup and 88Cid for calling me out on this.

The Failed GOP Leadership

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

This article from Politico is spot on.  It describes how out of touch the GOP leadership in Washington is, and how they are simply content with their office perks, and don’t care to fight effectively against the Progressives for the sake of our country.   We need a Party that fights and is not afraid to call out the Progressives for what they are: Totalitarian Neo-Feudalists.

For anyone seeking to get ahead in Washington, you might not want to take advice from me. After all, my book “Speech-Less: Tales of a White House Survivor” has left me consigned to the depths of hell by none other than Bill Bennett, author of “The Book of Virtues.” While I’m still Earth-bound, I do have a few modest suggestions for my fellow conservatives who await their return to political power.

Our Republican Party is gripped with a common Washington affliction: consultant fever. This is a very contagious, bipartisan disease. It causes those in its grip to advance themselves by resorting to tactics and theater rather than the much harder work of explaining to people why our ideas are better. Over the past several years, we’ve let this disease become chronic in the Republican Party. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Imagine for a moment House Republicans willing to challenge their leader, Rep. John Boehner of Ohio, who, for the sake of a party loyalty that sometimes demands too much, is raising money for an upstate New York congressional candidate who is more liberal than the Democrat in the race.

How about a Republican campaign operation that actually pushes candidates with conservative ideas rather than blow-dried wonders guaranteed to disappoint? (See Crist, Charlie.) How about politicians who offer a constructive, forward-looking alternative to the Obama administration rather than pander to those trying to prove the president is not an American citizen?

For that matter, imagine a conservative magazine that, rather than serving as a cheerleader for its buddies in the Republican power structure, advances a vision for the conservative movement that rises above partisan politics? There used to be a magazine called National Review that did that, studiously avoiding running errands for politicians and operatives. Whatever happened to it?

The GOP needs to fight against the Left by using their own tactics – those of Saul Alinsky.  Thankfully, many on the Right are now doing this effectively.
I would love to see the input of the Blogmocracy Netizens in what the GOP should do?

U.S. Consulate In Jerusalem Exclusively Caters To The P.A.

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Back in August of this year, it was noticed that the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem, instead of being a connection between the U.S., and the County it is in -Israel, was instead acting as a de facto Embassy to the Palestinian Authority (”P.A.”).

When an irate American wrote to the American Consul-General in Jerusalem on August 14 expressing outrage that the Consulate’s website “did not mention Israel, projects in Israel, the people of Israel or the modern state of Israel, but did predominantly mention the numerous projects the U.S. has with the Palestinians, he received the following response confirming that this ignoring of Israel was not on accident:

“Thank you for your feedback on the U.S. Consulate General Jerusalem’s Website. Just to clarify, the Consulate General in Jerusalem is the principal representation to the Palestinian Authority. We also provide services to American citizens in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.

“The U.S. embassy to Israel is in Tel Aviv and is focused on the bilateral relationship with Israel. Their website is
http://usembassy-israel.org.il/. The American Center in Jerusalem also provides information about the United States to the Israeli public. Their website is http://usembassy-israel.org.il/ac/ .

“Jerusalem is a final status issue. Israel and the Palestinians have agreed to resolve its status during negotiations. We will support their efforts to reach agreements on all final status issues.”

{The Article}

This response from the U.S. would make sense but for one major issue that the above article points out – “the current seat of the PA government is in Ramallah” not Jerusalem; as Israel’s is. The article goes on to point out the significance of this conscious choice by the U.S.

[T]he United States government appears to already recognize the Palestinian Authority’s claim to Jerusalem.

Indeed.

We also cannot ignore the fact that at the same time, successive American governments have failed to officially recognize Israel’s declaration of the city as its capital since 1948, and although they are legally required to – per the 1995 “Jerusalem Embassy Relocation Act” – continue to refuse to move the U.S. Embassy to Israel to Israel’s Capitol -Jerusalem.

This sort of treatment of Israel by the U.S. State Department is systemic.  This past September The U.S. State Department  issued Ramadan, etc. greetings to Muslims while completely ignoring the Jewish High Holidays.

Both Jews and Muslims celebrated holidays in September 2009.  However, the United States Consulate in Jerusalem – America’s representative in Israel’s capital – chose to focus entirely on Islam this year, while ignoring the Jewish holidays of Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur completely.

The Consulate’s website features Eid il-Fitr greetings from U.S. President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and Consul General Daniel Rubinstein. Its staff was involved in Ramadan celebrations in Jenin and Shechem, and hosted a meal in Jericho for the Muslim holiday of Iftar.

Clinton’s greeting was published on September 19 – the first day of Rosh HaShana. However, no mention was made of the Jewish holiday.

{The Article}

This is how our Government treats its greatest ally in The Middle East.  We should be ashamed!…

…Especially if we do nothing about it!

Blistering Rhetoric From The Left – “Die Quickly” & “Holocaust In America”

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

As the Left lectures continues their full fledged morality campaign against what they are labeling offensive rhetoric -accusing anyone that dissents against President Obama’s policies as “racist”- their own are boldly, and apologetically redefining the term “offensive rhetoric”.

The response from those who are so outraged by the so-called “Republican fear mongering”, etc?  Crickets!

Behold their own, Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson.

“The Republicans want you to die quickly, if you get sick.”

“[Not voting for the Democrat's Health Care Bill is causing a] Holocaust in America”.

The hypocrisy is staggering!

NBC:Rushing To The Exit!

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

The decline of NBC as a non-partisan broadcaster began long ago, the exact date is unknown to me. For the current era of “state run” media, NBC fought and clawed their way to the front of the line to be Øbama’s boot-lickers.

The best example, of course, was the absurdity that Chris Matthews of MSNBC bestowed on us in Feb ‘08:

I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often. No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event. He speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment.

Since that time, the same Chris Matthews made the following statement:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Yeah, well, you know what? I want to do everything I can to make this thing work, this new presidency work, and I think that –

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Is that your job? You just talked about being a journalist!

MATTHEWS: Yeah, it is my job. My job is to help this country.

SCARBOROUGH: Your job is the make this presidency work?

MATTHEWS: To make this work successfully. This country needs a successful presidency.

That was then, this is now.

In the news ratings between FOX and the MSNBC news shows, the following are the latest Nielsen ratings available.

Glenn Beck vs. Chris Matthews; Sean Hannity vs. Rachel Maddow TV Ratings Through Thursday, September 24.

O’Reilly vs. Olbermann TV Ratings Through Thursday, September 24.

The numbers speak for themselves, as MSNBC is so far behind FOX in the ratings, they aren’t even trying anymore, just currying favor with the new administration. I don’t see that as business plan that will define success.

With all that, as if it weren’t enough, there is the matter of prime time NBC network shows. If it weren’t for college football, NBC wouldn’t win any time slots, but to fully illustrate the corrupt and maladaptive environment at NBC, there were two incidents on Friday, 25 Sep 09 that need mentioning.

The first was this outrageous email sent by an NBC “Dateline” producer.
“Bite Me, Jew Boy!”

Then, on Friday night, the season premiere of the series “Law and Order” added another voice to the howl of the moonbats, as evidenced in the following trailer.

Yes, that’s right, they are still pushing for the prosecution of members of the Bush administration.

They did have at least one positive review for the show, as evidenced here.

Anthony D. Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union, wrote on the Huffington Post that “[w]hat McCoy understands is that in America, the rule of law applies to everyone. No one is above the law, not even (and some might say especially) the most powerful. … In real life, there has yet to be an investigation into the high-level authorization of torture, a crime that has stained the reputation of our nation at home and abroad.

Of course, if the ACLU says our nations reputation is stained, then it must be anything but.

An actual voice of reason can be found at Gateway Pundit:

Hey Hollywood– This may came as a surprise but America is angrier today with the radicals in Washington than they were when Bush was in charge.
When will we see the Obama-bashing episodes?

The answer to GPs question will go unanswered, just as all requests from the NBC producer have been.

Congressman Aaron Schock’s office targeted in Illinois terror plot

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Here’s a little reported fact about the Paul Findley/Talib Islam arrest for plottting to commit terrorist acts – the offices of a Republican member of Congress were a secondary target,

Details emerged Thursday of 29 year old Michael Finton’s attempt to detonate a truck bomb outside of the Paul Findley Federal Building in Springfield.  Among Findley’s target of the bombing were the federal courthouse and the offices of first-term Illinois congressman Aaron Schock.

Finton, also know as Talib Islam, was arrested Wednesday by federal officers after he attempted to utilize a cell phone to detonate an truck bomb outside the courthouse.  The arrest of Finton, follows a 2-year investigation by the FBI, including undercover operations enacted when Finton reached out for assistance.

In the 25 page criminal complaint filed Thursday, authorities outlined 2 years of activities and planning pursued by the 29 year old who was converted to Islam while in prison.  Included in the affidavit was the disclosure that Finton received funds from a source in Saudi Arabia, and after spending a month in the nation in 2008 expressed a desire pursued plans to launch a terrorist attack upon the United States.

[snip]

The criminal complaint further alleges that Congressman Schock’s office, adjacent to the attempted detonation zone was a secondary target.  In a statement released by Representative Schock on Thursday, he stated, “my office was notified today of the attempted terrorist attack on both the federal building and my congressional office in Springfield.  I am incredibly grateful to the FBI for their fine work in preventing this terrorist attack”.   Schock’s office declined to make further comments citing the ongoing investigation.

Now, I wonder why on earth a radical Muslim terrorist would include the offices of a conservative Republican Congressman on his list of collateral targets?  Could it be because he realises that conservative Republicans (as well as other conservative/libertarian types) are a hindrance to the imposition of Islam onto America?

As an aside, if I really wanted to play the sort of petty “six degrees of insinuation” game that nosnhoJ selrahC specialises in, I’d point out that a Muslim trying to bomb the office of a conservative Republican –> radical Muslims not liking conservative Republicans –> conservative Republicans are usually Christians, creationists, etc. –> selrahC not liking conservative Republicans, Christians, creationists, etc. –> meanwhile, selrahC tells us that Islamic jihad is no longer a threat –> therefore, selrahC sides with terrorists.

But we all know that’d be ridiculous, right?
