Friday Night Drinking Thread: Brooklyn Lager

Good evening Blogmocracy Netizens, it’s Party time!

Tonight’s Drinking thread I dedicate to great Local NY Brew called Brooklyn Lager. This beer is made by Brooklyn Brewey. The comapny has many types of Beers like Brown Ale, Black Stout, east IndiPa ale Ale and Seasonal Oktoberfest. This brewery is located in Brooklyn NY. As someone who grew up in Queens, I appreciate this Brooklyn based beer it reminds me of home.

It’s great beer and that is what I am drinking tonight!

Here is a Video paying tribute to Brooklyn.

Here is a current Hip-Hop/Electro Song I really.

Here’s an 80’s Track for the Non Hip-Hop/Electro fans

Here’s a Beatles classic.

I’m going out for a bit, I will join everyone in a few hours!

Enjoy and drink up!

Yeah, if you check the Internet Hall of Fame’s list of greatest contributors, the first two winners are:

    1. Al Gore – For his invention of the Internet.
    2. Charles Johnson – He gave people a voice on the Internet.

We’re so mean to Charles???? Is she high????

Guess they didn’t didn’t notice him calling us fascists, ridiculing people, trashing people by guilt by association, outing people’s names, pissing on peoples beliefs …etc etc

While some people may have asked for what they got, the large majority were unfairly maligned by CJ for having the audacity to disagree with him or visit a site he didn’t approve of

That’s the fact, play the victim card all you want but it is an outright lie to claim CJ is the “victim”…

He is the jackass who decided to attack, real and imagined “enemies”

Isn’t it funny that CJ follows all his former and current admirers around the internet to see if they are acceptable to him yet he doesn’t appear to understand the consequences of someone turning that same behavior on him?

What makes that doubly funny is that people here will remember back to when 1.0 was sane and KOS was the swamp. In those days, there was a KOS-kiddie who posted under the nick “kestrel”. Kestrel was pretty full of himself as being angry and whose apellation was a vicious bird. Turned out that kestrels are really pretty small wimpy birds as hawks go. Now 1.0 is acting that way

I believe the reason Cheney was so hated by the progressives is because he spoke directly, with authority, and from a moral position. The “If it feels good, do it!” types could not take the heat. So, they made him into the Dark Lord.

This country needs a father figure fast.

I know you didn’t mean it this way, but that could be taken as a call for a strong statist.

What we really need is a strong, principled conservative who truly believes in the inherent strength of individuals and a smaller, less intrusive federal government committed to the federalist model. It will take a strong leader to reduce the federal government footprint and restore those principles.

    Bumper sticker fodder:

    Smaller Carbon Footprint?

We need a smaller government bootprint

OK, there was this one episode of the Sopranos that I really like. Janice, Tony’s sister had started living with Richie, the absolute meanest man of the series. Tony and the gang had already decide that Richie had to go. He was even meaner than they could take. They just hadn’t fixured out how to do it yet.

Richie had this sexual thing, he liked to put a gun to the head of the person he was having sex with. Janice as the case was, endured this as a nightly sex ritual with Richie. Then this one night Richie and Janice got into an arguement and Richie hit her. Richie had really screwed up. Janice was a Sopranos and quiet the syco.

She came back later with the gun that Richie always pointed at her head during sex. As Richie sat down to eat his sausage and pasta. Janice shot him in the chest. Janice called Tony and he came over with his guys and hauled Richie off the kitchen floor in Hefty bags.

So anyway, Janice is taken to the bus station by Tony, she saved him a lot of trouble, but he doesn’t tell her that. Then as that episode is over this song plays.

From the other place, a little earlier today.

    ——————————-

    Quotations from Professor Ludwig

#60 in thread “Inhofe, the last Flat Earther” on the subject of true science:

A person like Inhofe thinks that science is something to be believed in rather than accepted based on evidence.

    . . .

Real science as always is about facts and observations. It is about following the data where it leads and accepting truths that are not always comfortable. This is not done because people want uncomfortable truths to be true, but rather because they are convinced by the evidence that this is so. The only authority in science is the data and the analysis of the data.

In other words, look at the evidence and when you see the data and the analysis, you can immediately see the truth, and have no more need for “beliefs”.

Not stated, but so strongly implied – look at my evidence, my data, my analysis.

And in #70 he goes on to lament that it is no use to cast facts and evidence before swine:

If your interlocutor is not a fact or analysis based thinker, then bringing facts and analysis to them will only cause them to spew more dogma. There is no particular cure for that sort of rigidity once it is set in.

A little further along at #105 he brings down a tablet from the mountain with his 3 commandments on it which he then proceeds to slam down over the heads of anyone who would dare question his data and analysis.

    At #179 (my bold)

Bagua, I am not interested in getting into this semantic debate with you.

The IPCC statement that you quote was deeply watered down in order to gain wider acceptance from the various entities – not all scientific – involved with it.

If you do not believe that we are definitely the source and the cause of the present warming, then refute the smoking guns listed in #105.

I repeat. We are 100% certain the primary driver of the present warming.

As a scientist I will give we are 90% certain that we are the only driver worth being taken into account. I give the last 90% because there is some evidence that solar variations are having a very small effect. However, no-one believes that they are the primary driver.

I repeat. 100% certain, we are the primary driver of the present trend.

    And the beat goes on.

This guy deserves a cartoon of his very own.

Well, be careful with them. I can’t help myself…I just love the guy. I love watching him play. I love when he gets excited like a little kid like he’s done something great for the first time, I love when he gets pissed at himself…because he cares. Not enough players love the game anymore, it’s all about the money. Favre was lucky, he’s got both.

You have a great perspective. Mine is alittle different. We had him for 16 years; lived and died by Brett. I still love the guy-as a someone who took my Packers to the Super Bowl, twice. And, as an all-around-great ball player.
He’s among the best there ever is/was.
BUT, he’s playing against my Packers and wants to defeat them. For that, I hope he FAILS and and has the worst game of his career.
As much as I love to watch him plsy, I’m hoping to see him flat on his back as often as possible!
    Go Pack!

They’ve been in this country for a long time, under different names and guises. They gained a lot of power in the 1800’s, and in the early 1920’s, the communist party had a strong foothold. Their popularity has always been underground, and up to and including the 1950’s, they had the potential to be a credible 3rd party.

Communism has always been an underground movement, because no one in his right mind would vote for it.

Except for violent overthrow of an incumbent government, the only way communism succeeds is step by step, quietly, and that’s what they’ve been doing for decades.

    Good article:

The King James version of the Bible runs more than 600 pages and is crammed with celestial regulations. Newton’s Principia Mathematica distilled many of the rules of physics in a mere 974 pages.

Neither have anything on Nancy Pelosi’s new fiendishly entertaining health-care opus, which tops 1,900 pages.

So curl up by a fire with a fifth of whiskey and just dive in.

But drink quickly. In the new world, your insurance choices will be tethered to decisions made by people with Orwellian titles (”1984″ was only 268 pages!) like the “Health Choices Commissioner” or “Inspector General for the Health Choices Administration.”

You will, of course, need to be plastered to buy Pelosi’s fantastical proposition that 450,000 words of new regulations, rules, mandates, penalties, price controls, taxes and bureaucracy will have the transformative power to “provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans and reduce the growth in health care spending . . . .”

The Dems have a huge problem looming in their future – the ever-increasing deficit, already at record levels, is only going to get bigger under their leadership. This is already causing grumbling within their own ranks, and outright terror everywhere else, as the unsustainability of their policies becomes apparent.

So what? All the Dems have to do is get as many people as possible into a program where the government supplies their needs. Then every election cycle, just keep reminding the faithful exactly which party it is that makes sure the good times keep rolling.

Perpetual power, baby. How sweet it is!

    Oh Great!

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday a U.S. House health-care system re-write would extend health insurance to 96% of the nonelderly U.S. population by 2019, and spend $1.055 trillion to do so.

Penalties imposed on individuals who did not purchase insurance, and employers who did not offer coverage to their workers, would raise $161 billion over that time-frame. That brings the net cost of the bill to $894 billion through 2019, CBO said

But what exactly has BO done to anger the right so much, and elevate the rhetoric so harshly so fast?

The stimulus, Cap and trade and 0bamacare- bad, bad, god-awful policies that will harm the country and he’s trying to pass through on the basis of his personality with no questions asked. Granted those crap-tastic ideas aren’t his alone, but ultimately he gets to sign off on them and there’s more in the pipeline (Card Check, a 2nd stimulus).

Bush won re-election by a wider margin than 0bama did, and one of the first things we heard the Fat Fuck From Flint Micheal Moore say was ‘56% isn’t a mandate, Mr. Bush’…but apparently to these hypocrates on the left, 52% is a mandate when their guy won.

I have no problem when he does the right thing (Maersk Alabama; various predator drone strikes in Pakistan that I’m sure he signed off on at some point)…especially when they result in the enemies of the United States of America being killed. But the guy’s a smarmy, thin-skinned Chicago hack who’s barely been asked a difficult question by his MSM cheerleaders. I have zero faith or trust in the guy based on what he’s trying to achieve domestically.

If that makes me an 0DS sufferer, so be it.

A college teacher reminds her class of tomorrow’s final exam. ‘Now class, I won’t tolerate any excuses for you not being here tomorrow. I might consider a nuclear attack or a serious personal injury, illness, or a death in your immediate family, but that’s it, no other excuses whatsoever!’ A smart-ass student in the back of the room raised his hand and asked, ‘What would you say if tomorrow I said I was suffering from complete and utter sexual exhaustion?’ The entire class is reduced to laughter and snickering. When silence was restored, the teacher smiled knowingly at the student, shook her head and sweetly said, ‘Well, I guess you’d have to write the exam with your other hand.’

What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?

Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around.
I didn’t know of this until it was pointed out to me.

Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the

deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American
    citizens that desperately needed work.

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal’s after WWII to create jobs

    for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million

Mexican Nationals! The program was called ‘Operation Wetback’. It was done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs.

It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

Now…if they could deport the illegal’s back then – they could sure do it today?

lf you have doubts about the veracity of this information,

enter ‘Operation Wetback’, into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

Reminder: Don’t forget to pay your taxes…
12 million Illegal Aliens are depending on you!

He’s not long for that world. I agree with basically everything he said, except the implication, perhaps, that the Right shouldn’t be quite as pissed off at Obama as we are. Fear breeds anger, and the fucker scares me for all the reasons listed plus many more. I think we have truly (and litterally) dodged a bullet with the Blue Dog Democrats refusing to back any new gun control. I think without that we’d have been facing a new, stricter (and permanent) ban on so-called “assault weapons”. That we haven’t is a true credit to them and one indicator about the depth of loathing for such a law among the electorate in general (gun control is, if anything, less popular than gay marriage. If we didn’t already have keep and bear arms provisions in the Federal, and most State’s, Constitution we would be seeing a movement to pass such things).

Ecen CNN’s idiot moonbat asshole Jack Cafferty hops off the Obama HellthCare Reform Love Train.

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/10/30/cafferty-64-pages-to-create-social-security-why-2000-to-reform-health-care/

With Nancy Pelosi and the House Democrats unveiling their 1,990 page health care reform bill – it made us wonder about other landmark pieces of legislation in U.S. history and how long they were.

    * The original draft of the 1935 Economic Security Act, which established the Social Security Administration was 64 pages

    * The Civil Rights Act of 1964 – forbidding discrimination based on race and sex: 8 pages

    * The 19th amendment to the Constitution, giving Women the right to vote in 1920: 1 page

    * The Emancipation Proclamation, with which Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves in 1863: 5 pages

    * Or, if you really want to get back to basics: The Declaration of independence came in at 1 page in 1776

Tort reform is not allowed in this abomination of a one thousand nine hundred and ninety page (before amendments) bill full of deliberately over-confusing legal mumbo-jumbo. We know not a single one of our Congressbastards are going to read the whole thing before the vote, even the conservative ones. And who can blame them? This thing is longer than War and Peace, and will only have a few days allowed for reading before coming up for a vote (I doubt there will be any debate, as we all know the time for that nonsense is ovah). So when Obama/Pelosi/Reid start to lose Couric, Cafferty, and the AP, a trend may be starting and the Administration just might have their hellthcare takeover plans waylayed yet. And to think it all might be because of one little fox.

It’s funny, in a sad way, how the 2nd Amendment doesn’t apply to citizens, but the 1st means that not only can ‘artists’ produce any kind of ‘art’ they want, but if we don’t subsidize it, we’re engaged in censorship.

Hasn’t one of our congresscritters submitted legislation requiring bills be posted online, so ‘We the People’ can have a chance to view it before it’s voted on? Fat chance of THAT ever getting passed. They’re SO much smarter than we are you know.

Ludwig is a Racist Anti-Hispanic/Catholic bigot.

I have it on good authority that he’s a practicing Jew and quite knowledgeable about Torah. In my mind, that makes his bigotry even more inexcusable. I can overlook the invincible ignorance of someone who’s just congenitally moronic. But with his knowledge comes intellectual and moral responsibility. He’s peeing all over his own tradition by being a bigot.

I still have yet to see any evidence that he knows a proton from a crouton, though.

As a scientist I will give we are 90% certain that we are the only driver worth being taken into account. I give the last 90% because there is some evidence that solar variations are having a very small effect. However, no-one believes that they are the primary driver.

I repeat. 100% certain, we are the primary driver of the present trend.

There was further embarrassment for Mrs Palin this month when the man who was nearly her son-in-law announced that he will be posing nude for Playgirl magazine.
