Just the other day, it was brought to my attention that the famous LGF Dictionary has been permanently scrubbed from LGF. (cue violins) I suppose that, since the Dictionary and I have history together, it might be appropriate for me to comment on it….
Now, oddly enough, snork and I were discussing the possibility of this happening a little while ago. And while we’ll probably never know if we were on the right track with regard to the reason (it disappeared without much, if any, fanfare), it seems certain that this marks an important milestone in the history of that site and for those who still inhabit it (even if they wouldn’t say publicly). Ya know, in a metamorphotic sort of way. The Dictionary is like the discarded chrysalis…or something.
Anyway, it got me all sentimental, and I remembered that I had kept a copy of the last “official” version as a souvenir during the whole “punking” episode. So I went back to examine it a bit, and all I can say right off the bat is that I recommend looking at the credits (which were absent in CJ’s version, naturally). Or, better yet, here:
The LGF Dictionary was started and maintained for years exclusively by zombie, but this new version has several editors:
zombie, song_and_dance_man, Killgore Trout, Thanos, vxbush, lawhawk, DesertSage, Mandy Manners, Noam Sayin’, and writermom.
(Hat tips to: Charles, song_and_dance_man, theparson, zulubaby, Raziel (Troll Devouring Blader), scaramouche, Frank IBC, mich-again, Poitiers-Lepanto, Perry, composmentis, Andrew B., Buckaroo, kps, whiterasta, Yehudit, aboo-Hoo-Hoo, AG in Houston, Al di Grandpa, American Infidel, bkrog, Bob G., bouzouki, christheprofessor, Craig Abu Al-Boo-Boo, Cybrludite, D. Edgren (the Merciless Infidel), DocDale, doppelganglander, Doss, Ed Moran abu GOMEX, exredtory, Ferris Bueller, FreeKeys, Geepers, Gmac, hm, ibu guru, Iron Fist, justdanny, kmclay, Kragar (Proud to be Kafir), M. Simon, Merovign, Meryl Yourish, Mike C., minuteman, mollyb, Mr Pol, Nannette, NuclearTinkerbell, Ol’ Southern Boy, ploome hineni, pst314, Rayra, rbmn, RickZ, satan sidekick, Spiny Norman, Stringart, Studsup, Throbert McGee, Village Idiot’s Apprentice, wtc394, Weiss, TotallySirius, Dan, adie, Antioch, Steve Barnett, Dan the Librarian of Sheffield Hallam University, David M, the crew who put together the LGF FAQ, and everybody who coined or popularized any of the terms here.)
I couldn’t help but take a sec to match those names up with Kirly’s book, and this is what I got. (someone help me out if I missed any).
Interesting, eh? Bloodbath. Heavy casualties. No wonder CJ left the credits out. Oh well…
Moving on…
hmmmm….
Whoa! Check this one:
racist - A statement of surrender during an argument. When two people or disputants are engaged in an acrimonious debate, the side that first says “Racist!” has conceded defeat. Synonymous with saying “Resign” during a chess game, or “Uncle” during a schoolyard fight. Originally, the term was meant to indicate that one side was accusing the other of being racist, but once it was noticed that people only resorted to this tactic when all other arguments had been exhausted, it acquired its new meaning of “indicating one’s own concession of defeat.”
I think it’s safe to say that this is part of that aforementioned discarded chrysalis. As the pupa transforms into its adult form, the black stripes turn to yellow (so to speak), senses develop, and the neurological system allows it to see real racists around every corner:
…or something.
The beast has morphed, and it is ill-tempered.
BTW- how would one reconcile the years the site spent universally dismissing racism accusations as weakness with what appears to be an all-hands-on-deck full-time effort to accuse and/or “prove” that others are racist? Answer: delete it, and you might not have to.
Exit question: Can they survive without an “Iron Fist Rule”?

For a while they will.
What about “car-b-ques”?
Third!!!. LOL, just joking, how is everyone tonight?
Well, the Chuckster is obviously losing. He has been for awhile. Soon he will fade away into the night sky and we can all move on. It will feel good to focus our energies elsewhere.
No one can survive without the Iron Fist rule. It’s saved me more then once, and not just on blogs but other sites I post at.
wow. Just wow.
I think Ed Moran Abu Gomex is very banned (of many names)
re: #1 by typicalwhitey
I left a message for you on the last thread.
If you have a moment, could you check it out?
And I do mean God Bless You!
The only two that i can see on that list that are currently still regular posters on 1.0 are Mich-again and Poitiers-Lepanto. I don’t see anyone else that stands out as a regular there.
It’s always sobering to see the list of names. Your post brings it all back. What a tragedy.
re: #7 by Refugee
You’re saying that’s Ed the weatherman Ed?
re: #8 by Lolly Gator
Thank you LOLLY!!!
I don’t mean to continually post about it, but my heart and mind are very heavy right now.
Tomorrow will bring some good news…or not.
But thank you from the bottom of my heart!
That archive is a keeper. Should be attached as a reference page here, updated periodically.
Someone at LGA once accused me of being you, but now I see you in all of your snarky glory. Nice job.
It seems I`m having trouble keeping my eyes open.
Time for me to say good night to all Blogmocracy netizens.
God Bless, hope you all sleep well!
I know I will.
re: #11 by ChenZhen
Ed’s here, or was.
The dictionary has been a fixture at 1.0 since Christ was a corporal. Trashing it is very much trashing 1.0 itself.
Talk about conceding defeat!
re: #12 by typicalwhitey
I meant it from the bottom of my heart.
I have grandsons too, I didn`t get to see one for nearly 5 years, but there was no abusive boyfriend, just a stubborn daughter…all is well now (he lives with me)
God will help you through this, but I can only imagine how your heart feels.
Your grandson is adorable!!!
I saw the pictures, your heart is sin your smile!
Trust with all your heart…and may God fill you with His blessings.
Even when things seem the darkest, share it with Him and trust
God Bless Your Aching Heart!
re: #11 by ChenZhen
Yeah….isn’t that him?
re: #12 by typicalwhitey
Hey Whitey, I read your post on the last thread about the trials you are going through. I will say a prayer for you and your grandson. I hope that he stays safe and that everything works out for y’all. My grandparents gained custody of me when I was a child and it probably saved my life, so I completely sympathize. God bless you.
re: #9 by Refugee
Other than the editors of which several still post.
Orwell was right– words will have no meaning. Saw clip earlier with Barney (no– I don’t like you) Frank talking about regulating the derivatives market and somehow works in a dig at the GOP as the party which messed up Katrina. It does not matter that it’s a lie– the word “Katrina” is like a talisman for the Dems. It’s that nonsense which irks me to no end.
re: #21 by calcajun
Does Kathleen Blanco ring a bell? She turned FEMA away. Does Ray Nagin ring a bell? He grounded school buses as too demeaning for people to ride out of town.
re: #18 by Refugee
I guess I don’t know the detailed history of his sockpuppets. It’s probably the same guy, but that nic wasn’t on Kirly’s list of banned.
re: #21 by calcajun
Yeah, I saw the clip of that asshat saying that the right wing ruined government for everyone. He’s an idiot. How he keeps getting re-elected is beyond me. My favorite clip of him lately is the one where he is telling the other congresscritters that they are going to expand government and have death panels for business they deem to be a drain on society. While that f’in troll Geitner is smiling in the background.
Chen Zhen, I am shocked that BabbaZee is not mentioned anywhere in the dictionary!
I think she has come up with many new words at LGF…
Reading the LGF Dictionary brings back a lot of memories.
I’m glad it was saved before He Who Must Not Be Named deleted it from 1.zero.
re: #19 by linoleumknife
Thank you and thank Lolly!
Am going to bed so good night to all and once again, thanks for caring!

Before I go back to the nest for the night, who is the lizard Bartleby The Scrivener?
Guess it doesn’t matter. I already know that he’s kind of insufferable. G’night y’all.
re: #26 by Eliana
It really does. Funny how people like to try to wipe out their past by any means necessary, and take on the extremist mantra of being right no matter the cost. With that. I now try my hand at a bit of German in a fitting tribute to 1.0.(pretty sure I’ve got a few pronouns messed up :p )
Pretty sure that should fit the tone over there these days. But 9 days with 28hrs of sleep and pushing that fine taste of insanity will do crazy things to you too.

re: #26 by Eliana
So he has deleted his dictionary has he? What else is he doing? Has he taken a pruning knife and chainsaw to his archives as well, in an effort to sanitize his murky past in order to be fully accepted by the higher echelons of Moonbattery? I would not be surprised, in which case I hope that someone has saved those records too.
Hey, how did S&D Man get ahead of me?! Just kidding. It’s a shame whatsisname went bark at the moon crazy! That was a really good blog back when he forgot he was a liberal.
Off the bat, I’d say Buckaroo, Ed Moran abu Gomex, and Frank IBC are banned. I also cannot imagine Meryl Yourish still being an active account (there’s no LGF on her blogroll anymore, and that’s the kiss of death for such a ‘traitor’); Yourish is a contributor to Shire Network News.
As for me being a contributor to the dictionaty, huh? Did I say something in a post that was placed into the dictionary? Because I know I never deliberately contributed anything to it. The only phrase I ever posted that got any reaction that I know of (Miss Trixie in Toronto loved it) was my description of the hag in the bag as an ‘eggplant with eyeslits’.
Racist!
Saw that coming. Revisionism at it’s finest. Fit’s with the scientifimagorical attitudes over there where everything is based on the evidence one prefers to examine.
Still a copy at zombie’s.
Reading down the entry, I came across the nick ‘Model4′, another one of those blasts from the past.
I still wonder whatever happended to Mr. Pol, international man of mystery.

Just lurking for the last week or so.
Busy… Chanukah is around the corner and the blood has to be gathered for the matzos, had to find a dry cleaner that’d take Liberty dollars to clean the robes, and a farrier that had shoes with little swastikas on the bottom, had to pop for a sonicare toothbrush to get the bloodstains off my teeth…. you know how it goes. Just another week in the life of a waycist white winger.

Mornin’ Right. How are you today?
re: #22 by Bunk X
The school buses weren’t the only way out of town for the thousands affected by Katrina.
Amtrak offered at least 1 train, and were either declined or didn’t get a response before they HAD to get out of town.
Sure, the Bush administration made mistakes in the aftermath, but there were plenty of poor decisions made at the state & local levels before hand that put the people of N.O. in the situation to begin with.
A friend of mine thought of using either barges or boxcars, but also knew that even suggesting either one of those would be decried as racist & hateful & demeaning.
re: #51 by spidly
I know this might make me look dense, but is that real? It looks like it could be something out of the onion, but you never know these days.
re: #53 by linoleumknife

Good, it’s my friday. Had kind of a rough day yesterday though. I found out the hard way that I’m alergic to penicillin. That was an adventure.

re: #57 by linoleumknife
I found out in jail. No joke.
I was on my fifth day of taking amoxicillin and I guess that it took that long to react, but once it did it was for REAL.
I was glad that the officer in charge had half a brain that shift, and I was allowed to go (unescorted) to the infirmary and get a shot of Benadryl.
re: #58 by Bumr50
You are not a shift manager. According to Sharmuta we are all unemployed fat dough boys who live with our parents and have hot wing sauce on our man tits. At this point I would like to remind her that it takes one to know one.
re: #57 by linoleumknife
oh damn.
I’m allergic to liberalism.
re: #62 by Bumr50
Damn, that sucks. I have been taking penicillin my whole life. Took one when I got up yesterday, and ten minutes later I was feeling like I might die. Blood pressure spiked hard, body itched head to toe. Throat closed off and my hands and feet swelled up. It was a pretty fun ride. LOL
re: #64 by Rightside

re: #65 by linoleumknife
Yeah, me too. Though it had been a while since I’d taken any.
I know that as I get older, I seem to have developed a TON of allegies.
When I was in high school, I worked on a vegetable farm 60+ hours a week over summer plus during school in spring and fall and never so much as sneezed. I lived in the woods (not literally.)
Now I have trouble keeping the car window down.

You’d think they’d be happy to get rid of Texas.
re: #67 by Bumr50
Yeah, when I was young I didn’t have any real allergies. They have started adding up now. I think I’ll be ok as long as I don’t develop an allergie to shell fish. If I can’t eat crawfish or shrimp life might not be worth it.
re: #55 by linoleumknife
appears to be real. there’s more on it if you follow the links.
Damn zionists are keeping the grilled nation down.
re: #58 by Bumr50
we are the legitimate victims here! Captain Silver better not try to horn in on the Colonels action. The Captain is a Mossad plant anyway.
re: #61 by mfhorn
As a native Texan I will proudly, and loudly say that if they don’t want us that’s fine. Plus give the chance to be on our own I would take it. Atleast then we could effectively run our borders and stop all the b.s. down there. South Texas is basically lost now, and that is unacceptable.
re: #68 by Bumr50
You know, I’d consider moving if just about any state seceded. I hate the idea, but I also hate what’s happened to America over the last 50 years or so, with government constantly taking more & more power from us.

I don’t buy that there are jobs that legal Americans won’t do. Sorry. Just because you’ve gotten used to paying slave wages for your services doesn’t make it necessary or right.
Simply demand legislators that will enforce laws that are already in place, and the “problem” is solved, sans the millions that we’ve let in due to lax justice.

re: #90 by Bumr50
So in Nany Pelosi Land Public = Competitive?
Morning 50. They are getting Orwellian with the language.
Not a War on Terror, it is an Overseas Contingency Operation.
Not a Terrorist Attack, it is a Man Made Disaster.
Not a Public option, it is a Consumer Option.
re: #91 by RIX
I just wonder if it’s second nature for them, as though they were collectively mothering us and trying to tell us that the medicine isn’t medicine.
Seriously, who do they think that they’re talking to?
Minds are made up on both sides among the involved, voting population. And if you’re not involved by now, let’s face it, you’re not going to be soon. The rest don’t matter until 2012, so perhaps that’s what they’re looking at.
re: #92 by Bumr50
I get your point. Manipulating the language is an a attempt at population control. The Dems have determined that the American people are lke children & therefore have to be fooled to do the “Right Thing.”
If they get away with their schemes, many of the changes will be difficult to reverse.
Stop them now.

Two Alligators were sitting at the side of the swamp near the lake.
The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, ‘I can’t understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We’re the same age; we were the same size as kids. I just don’t get it.’
‘Well,’ said the big Gator, ‘what have you been eating?’
‘Politicians, same as you,’ replied the small Gator.
‘Hmm. Well, where do you catch them?’
‘Down the other side of the swamp near the parking lot by the Capitol.’
‘Same here. Hmm. How do you catch them?’
‘Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out, grab them by the leg, shake the shit out of them and eat ‘em!’
‘Ah!’ says the big Alligator, ‘I think I see your problem. You’re not getting any real nourishment. See, by the time you finish shaking the shit out of a Politician, there’s nothing left but an asshole and a briefcase.

Yeah the LGF herd has been thinned, but what CJ lacks in numbers he makes up for in synchophants.
WHY YOU NEVER QUESTION A DRUNK…
I was shopping at the local supermarket where I selected:
A half-gallon of 2% milk
A carton of eggs
A quart of orange juice
A head of lettuce
A 2 lb. can of coffee
A 1 lb. package of bacon
As I was unloading my items on the conveyor belt to check out, a drunk
standing behind me watched as I placed the items in front of the
cashier. While the cashier was ringing up the purchases, the drunk
calmly stated, ‘You must be single.’
I was a bit startled by this proclamation, but I was intrigued by the
derelict’s intuition, since I indeed had never found Mr. Right. I looked
at the six items on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about
my selections that could have tipped off the drunk to my marital
status..
Curiosity getting the better of me, I said , ‘Yes you are correct . But
how on earth did you know that?’
The drunk replied, ‘Cause you’re ugly

Good Morning Mary Lee. VA is a lost cause for the Dems. They are already starting to blame the Candidate for not utilizing the Obama enough.
If they lose NJ though , they will go mental. It is a hard Blue State. If the Independent fades & Christie can pull enough there , he has a good chance. If it is close though I am afraid that the Dems will steal it.

Morning everyone!
Vomitaciousness alert.
This is the first president that actually writes his own books since Teddy Roosevelt and arguably the first to write them really well since Lincoln. If you accept the premise, and I do, that the United States is the most powerful country in the world, then Barack Obama is the most powerful writer since Julius Caesar.

January 2009 temperatures were above average in much of the land areas of the globe, with the exception of cooler-than-average temperatures across the northeastern and midwestern contiguous U.S., western Alaska, eastern Russia, western Europe, northwestern Africa, southeastern Asia, northeastern Australia, and northern Argentina.
Lol”Much”? What scientific and brainy like word! I am convinced! LMAO
(Shhhhh says the Loony Left. Don’t pay attention to all that other “land” on the globe which is across the northeastern and midwestern contiguous U.S., western Alaska, eastern Russia, western Europe, northwestern Africa, southeastern Asia, northeastern Australia, and northern Argentina! Because, GLOBAL! warming is real!)
LMAO
Good morning everyone!

I hope he hangs on but I saw Hannity interview him and didn’t like his 2nd amendment stance.
re: #136 by tqcincinnatus
Which brings up an interesting point. If you concede for the sake of argument that Obama did actually write his books, what that guy’s actually saying is that the “power” of a writer has more to do with his political power than the literary value of the writing itself.
Realize it or not, that guy just peeled the mask completely off the NEA, and exposed what its real mission has been all along.

Very shaky there. Perhaps he’s carrying some police support that he doesn’t want to lose.
Good morning everyone.
Youngest daughter didn’t give me her permission slip for the H1N1 vaccination today, so I have to go to school and sign it.
GAHH! I need to keep up on things!!
Why do you think he deleted the dictionary?
re: #146 by Bumr50
I can’t understand why the police believe handgun laws would cripple criminals in any way. But I guess they do. We have to take what we can get.
I better correct myself. I have no idea what the police believe.I shouldn’t have said that.
re: #149 by Grimcargo
I hope that wasn’t a correction uttered out of old 1.0 fears of retribution!
I understand what you mean.
By “police” I was generalizing police “groups” (FOP, AoPC, etc…)
And those groups are directed, often, by forces that have little connection with beat patrols.
re: #147 by typicalwhitey
I was terrible like that as a kid.
When I have a kid, I’m sure karmic retribution will be severe!
Mornin to you and all in the house since my walk!
re: #150 by Bumr50
Oh no I never was a member of Hen Johnson’s blog. I just realized it seemed ignorant to think I know what police think..

Is Obama a Sleaze?
by Michael Wolff | Vanity Fair
October 27, 2009, 1:42 PM
So it turns out there’s a reason the president hasn’t wrapped up health care or Iraq, figured out Afghanistan, closed Guantanamo, or found anybody a job. He’s been out raising money.
He’s been schmoozing, and golfing, and kissing ass.
The Wall Street Journal has outlined in quite excruciating detail just how the president has actually been spending a significant amount of his time and attention. In nine months he’s done 26 fundraisers. Three a month.
George Bush, by this point in his presidency, had, according to the Journal, only done six. The Journal says Obama’s hyper-fundraising is because of McCain-Feingold, which limits soft money contributions. Obama has got to do more to raise more. George Bush raised $48 million with his six fundraisers; Obama, so far, has only raised $21 million.
He’s not just been on his belly, but on his belly for a relative pittance.

Exactly.
Comedian Larry David and HBO find humor in his urinating on a painting of Jesus Christ and mocking of Christians in the latest episode of the show ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’

re: #156 by Grimcargo
Heh. Billy Mays was local, and last I checked his little town was trying to give him a parade, but was facing opposition due the controversy surrounding cause of death.
Billy’s impact
In response to the Aug. 26 letter “Tribute for What?” in regard to the upcoming tribute to my brother Billy Mays: I would like to address a few points. The purpose of the memorial and concert is twofold: first, not just to remember a man but to remember the heart of a man who touched many lives in positive ways — from the kids who loved watching Billy to the people who became millionaires because they trusted Billy to work as hard for them as he would for himself.
Billy spent countless hours signing autographs and encouraging children to dream big and work hard to achieve success. In fact, the vision for the September memorial was born for this reason alone. Cards, many from children, have poured in from all over the nation, in spite of the negative publicity.
Second, Billy traveled the world, but his heart was always in McKees Rocks. For this reason, all the proceeds of the event (all-day family-friendly entertainment ending with a concert) will be donated to the Focus on Renewal, a McKees Rocks-based nonprofit social service agency that is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, having made a positive difference in thousands of lives.
The writer of the Aug. 26 letter stated that her jaw dropped at the news of the Sept. 20 event. What is jaw-dropping is the fact that Billy Mays, the most-watched man on television, is continuing to touch lives even in his death. Rest in peace, big brother.

I hear ya.
Quick story.
Dad and I sat down at Panera for lunch a couple of weeks ago.
I was first with food, heard a woman with a tracheotomy talking through her machine.
I thought it would irritate my Dad, so I chose the booth adjacent to her, because that’s how we show love in our family.
The woman did not stop.
Twenty two minutes.
She could have been reading from a text, I don’t know.
We both left with the distinct impression that the tracheotomy may not have occurred surgically, but rather by force at the hands of an ex-husband.
re: #168 by Bumr50
be nice to get acccess to a jihadist blog and mention that larry david also did that same act except it was on the koran. think i’d cause a stink?

I had a bad reaction to penicillin when I was four years old.
When you say your blood pressure spiked, did it go up or down? I’m just curious because when I had anaphylaxis (from eating a banana), my blood pressure went extremely low.
This is just more proof that it’s CHARLES JOHNSON who has changed, not all the “racists” on the Right.

Zero is still campaigning. Running for office is so much easier than actually taking on responsibility once elected.
His empty platitudes are sounding trite and ridiculous now, especially with his failure to make sound decisions on important pressing issues.
He is a dangerous inept poser.
Just swung by zilch, shame on you ChenZen for luring me to give him a hit, and tried accessing stuff on the left side bar, tools, headlines, even contact. None of them work unless you are signed in. is this paranoiaor what? he must be getting hurt by mention of his rock drop rate of visits.
Heck, I bet if we all quit lurking it would be near zero.
The last time I accessed his stats, it was something like 130 logged in and 1100 visitors. That translates to 970 popcorn consumers watching the train wreck.
The top tool bar here needs to be modified to include the LKF dictionary abridged unversion, and kept on track.
Just an interesting side note:
Leaving aside the ones marked above as known banned, as I scan that list, quite a few more simply don’t comment there any more. In fact, here’s the list of people from that list who still comment:
Hmm.

Now there’s a youtube to be proud of.I loved the comments and also, further proof that a 12 gauge is the period at the end of the sentence. HAHA
I wonder how this story would go over at LGF?
The story has two of Johnson’s favorite topics in one story, racists and Nazis! (Unfortunately, there’s no mention of Glenn Beck or Creationists.)

Yea I can’t say I recognise a lot of the nics in the credits. Then again, most of that stuff was made up before I even knew about LGF, so…
maybe my whole ’sentimental’ line there needed a little sarc tag.
