It’s Week 7 of the NFL, and there are some interesting match ups this week!
The crappy losers the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head over to London to face the New England Patriots. The NFL is trying to expand Football’s reach beyond America with UK and Mexico as their 2 overseas targets. This game should be a humiliating destruction of the hapless Bucs.
The highlight match up will be the 6-0 Vikings lead by Brett Farve against the 4-2 Steelers. This will be Farve and the Vikings first real test against a really good defense. Also can the Vikings Defense hold up against Big Ben Roethlisberger, that will be the question.
The Sunday Night game will be the Giants against the Arizona Cardinals. After being demolished by the saints last week, Big Blue will be out for revenge against the Cardinals.
Monday Night will be a NFC East showdown as the Cowboys play the Redskins. The Cowboys should win this one. If not, Mr. Jerry Jones will not be too pleased!
here is a good analysis fro Week 7.
Here are the Scores.
Enjoy the games and discuss!

Go Vikings!!!
Steelers in the house! W00t W00t!!! Nice pic of Ben up there ^^^^^ I have an autographed ball from Ben’s rookie year. Cool memorabilia.
re: #1 by AndyMacOP
From your mouth to Brett’s ear.
Or something like that.
Being a girl type person, and not a real football fan (other than Favre), I’m not too familiar with the team they’re playing.
Could you enlighten me as to their record/standing.
Thanks in advance.
go steelers
Go Cowboys! Beat the Redskins!
i do not expect my steelers to win this game tho.
we shall see.
Just out of curiosity, has Brett Favre been a huge factor in the success the Vikings have had so far this season?
re: #7 by Morgan
yes, huge!
he was the last peice of the puzzle that minesota neeeded
HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!
Just came back from the Strip with burritos from Reynas!!
And I’m wearing my big game Stillers Aussie ditchdigger hat!!
Gotta summon Cope for this one.

re: #6 by coldwarrior
Are they favored?
re: #6 by coldwarrior
Keep the faith! I hope you are not a fair weather fan? We have too many of them around here. As long as they keep Willie Parker out of the game, we should be good. lol
I got Steeler slippers for my birthday!!!!
Stillers win, as do the Cowboys. I hate to say it because I am a long suffering Redskin fan and am originally from MN. The most important game I watch today will be my sons 12 year old team taking on some unbeaten competition from Montgomery Country MD.
re: #11 by NoThreat2U
no, not a fair weather fan.
you have to realize just how spoiled we are.
we expect at least a playoff game at home every year. most other team’s fans are happy witha wining season.
i am not sold on the steelers move to the passing game and not sticking with the commitment to the run. we cant control the clock wothout a strong running game and that has already cost us 2 games.
re: #9 by Bumr50
reynas burritos and myron cope!
yoi!
we just might win this.
re: #5 by Morgan
Someday? Other than today?
They’re playing the Falcons, and I hope that Jason Witten wakes up and starts catcing TD’s again because so far he’s been a huge BUST for Bumr50’s fantasy team “CarefulEugenesAxes.”
Vikings: 6-0 in first place and ready to beat the Steelers!
Correction. Atlanta is going to beat the Cowboys this week and Philly is going to beat the Deadskins. Minnesota still loses in Pittsburgh. The talk upthread is that the Cowboys were playing the Skins this week….. that is not the case.
re: #14 by coldwarrior
Ya. Remember the Tommy Gun experiment?

We’ve been trying to visit the Strip more often lately, as we’ve been living in Glenshaw for four years now and just sort of realized how close we were.

Isn’t that Sharmuta’s sock?
re: #16 by Bumr50
I stand corrected; Go Cowboys! Beat the Falcons! (And when November 22nd comes along, Beat the Redskins!)
By the way, Rodan, you need to revise your post.
re: #19 by Bumr50
glenshaw is a driver and 8 iron away from the strip…i’m glad u came to your senses. i live up in BC and still make it to the strip AT LEAST every 2 weeks, normally every week.
re: #21 by snork
No way, buster! I was a fan of the Cowboys long before LGF ever became a reality.
I’m not even going to watch the Bucs-Pats game in London. It’s on CBS and it’s a waste of game. The Steelers-Vikings that game I have on as it starts!
Go Black and Gold!
LOL!
Good choice Rodan! lol
After the NFL’s brazen display of leftist mentality, I just can’t get into pro football any more. The players are a bunch of spoiled hypocrites pretending to have “racial sensitivities” while being a bunch of racists themselves.
re: #26 by NoThreat2U
I respect Farve’s game but he’s a Primadona!
re: #28 by Rodan
I agree. I find that annoying. He saunters around the NFL wondering who wants him now for his awesomeness. I hate cocky men like that. Then again, he knows that about himself. We see it in the TV commercial where he can’t make up his mind.

First Daughters Not Vaccinated Against H1N1
President Obama’s school age daughters have not been vaccinated against the H1N1 flu virus. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says the vaccine is not available to them based on their risk.
The Centers for Disease Control recommend that children ages 6 months through 18 years of age receive a vaccination against the H1N1 flu virus. At this time only children with chronic medical conditions are receiving the vaccination because their immune system is not strong enough to fight off the strain. The CDC also says a regular seasonal flu shot does not protect against the virus

Petty officer relieved after storm exercises
The Associated Press
Posted : Sunday Oct 25, 2009 9:11:36 EDT
MONTAUK, N.Y. — A Coast Guard officer has been relieved of command after dramatic photos surfaced on the Internet of two rescue boats training in heavy surf generated by Hurricane Bill off the eastern end of Long Island.
A Coast Guard commander told Newsday that Chief Petty Officer James Weber put his boats and crews in a dangerous situation during the August storm.
One spectacular picture showed one of the $1.2 million boats half out of the water with its bow pointed skyward as it flew over the top of a cresting swell near Montauk.
Coast Guard Capt. Daniel Ronan says neither Weber nor the skipper of a second boat was properly qualified to operate in surf that high.
OK, I’m only a dentist, but isn’t that when alot of rescues happen in shitty weather?

President Obama is not living up to his pledge to hold an open debate over health care reform and is engaged in a “public relations campaign” to penalize critics, representatives from two industry groups in the administration’s cross hairs said Sunday.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President Bruce Josten and America’s Health Insurance Plans Vice President Mike Tuffin told “Fox News Sunday” that they will continue to raise questions about the health care reforms plans working their way through Congress. But they decried the “name-calling” they said was coming out of the White House.

Off topic and this stems from Cato’s recent comments at the ‘jumpin in pools’ blogs…
Charles, you and your followers have lost sight of the ball.
I started browsing LGF back in 2001 shortly before 9/11. I found that the coverage of the second intifada, and what the Jihadist were really up to, to be truthful and informative.
But since the beginning of the last election cycle, and in my mind with the commencement of the LGF/Atlas Shrugged flame war, LGF has really gone down the tubes and has turned into nothing but a place for ugly vitriol and insults. Sorry Charles but it seems you have distracted yourself from the issues and have turned towards the darkside where it is more important to flame the messenger then deal with the message he carries. I don’t want to read ‘this blogger said that’ or ‘that newsman said this’. I want to read and dissect the real world and it’s events. LGF is just a hollow shell of what it was back in it’s hey-day of honest debate and Ironfist & Reaganite(sic?). I will not be reading here anymore…have a good life LGF’ers and goodbye.
Makes sense to me. To bad it will be deleted any second now

I likes Glenn Reynolds’ comment on that. Something like “this is what major party FAIL looks like.
Of course, Chuckles is going to spin it (and I haven’t even been over there, but just watch) as white supremacists under every pub.
What it really means is Tory suck.
Let me just say here: i HATE the term white supremacist. I have numerous black members in my family…going back for genereations. That’s just the way they were. When my sister remarried…to her second black husband…my father said he couldn’t accept it because he was black. Well, my brother-in-law told him, very respectfully, that was too bad since he loved his daughter. Well, my dad still didn’t like it, but we all used to go out together and he introduced him as his son-in-law. It is possible to get along with others, even if you disagree with their beliefs. As long as it doesn’t harm anyone, what is the big deal. As to the Brits, they see their country circling the drain and have their backs against the wall. Do they hate the Jews? Maybe so. But it isn’t illegal to hate someone. Wishing death upon them all and doing something to bring that to fruition…THAT is wrong. The Brits are still constrained by their 500 years of stiff-shirtedness. They usually wouldn’t say “shit” if they had a mouthful. So how is all that civility working out for ya? Thought so. Screw the BNP. If that is what it takes to preserve their nation and their culture…let them. There are more than enough people who will make sure another Jewish genocide never happens again. I am one of those people. Sometimes you gotta get down in the dirt with the pigs. Know what I mean??

Gallup: Americans Don’t Think Obama Deserved the Nobel Peace Prize
POLITICS | Sun, Oct 25, 2009 at 11:08:36 am PDT
It’s official — 60% of the US public agrees with President Obama that he doesn’t really deserve the Nobel Peace Prize: Americans’ Views on Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize.
The poll breaks apart on partisan lines, of course.
PRINCETON, NJ — The majority of Americans do not believe President Barack Obama deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize (61%), but the public is split in its personal reaction to the announcement. Asked if they are “glad” Obama received the prize, 46% of Americans say yes and 47% say no.
I’m not sure where I fit, because I’m happy our president won the Nobel Peace Prize (although I haven’t had much respect left for the prize after they gave it to Yasser Arafat), yet I also think he doesn’t really deserve it. It was a political statement by the prize committee.
So ya know it was political ( a swipe at the USA and Bush ) and ya don’t think it was deserved, but your happy Obama won it? Why so he and you can use that to take swipes at conservatives? Ah fuck you. And way to be intellectually consistant while your at it prick.
Ironfist & Reaganite “two-faced haters”?
Not that I ever saw and I’m pretty sure they were both long gone before Sharmuta (which means whore in Arabic) ever showed up. I like Sharm but I have to admit she is a sycophant to the max.

Steelers lead Vikings 10-7 at half.
Sort of a slow paced game, I had been expecting a shootout. Maybe the second half will be more interesting.
re: #87 by NoThreat2U
I’m not afan of the BNP. The Vlaams Belang I respect becauzse it is about Flemish-Catholic identity, not race based. The VB has praised Spain’s 16th and 17th century Defense of Flanders against the Dutch. They also have Black and Latin members. They are Pro-Israel and are the only party in Belguim that supports Jews. ALthough some of the members came from the racist Vlams Bloock, the VB has broken from those links and has embraced Culturalism and not Racism as their their standard. I can support that.
The BNP are Biological racist based on bloodline. Example you have Black Jamaicans, Hindu Indians and Latins who are now 2nd or 3rd Generation British. They have every right to live in their new homeland and they support it;s culture. The Muslims on the other hand are not integrating and seek to dominate. If the BNP was just targeting Muslims, I can support them. But the fact they are going after Non Anglo/Norse/Celt bothers me.
As for White Supremacists, in my Youth I fought Aryan Nation and Skin heads, so they don’t scare me at all. They are harmless assholes entitled to their archaic views.
The real Danger is the Progressive Movement, the fact LGF supports them makes them more evil than the BNP.
greeat football in that first half.
go steelers
re: #90 by Nevergiveup
I don’t think she’s been there more than two years. I asked Rustler, my son, to check her profile and he tells me he’s been banned! Since he hasn’t been to LGF in months I have to assume he was banned because he’s my son.
R S McCain is not a White Supremacist. He is a Traditional proud Southerner. I can respect that since I am proud of my Latin heritage, does that make me a Latin Supremacist? No, You have a right to be proud of your culture and heritage. That is my take.
R S McCain at least has core values, Charles Johnson doesn’t. I respect RS and have none for Charles.

I also enjoy a 0-0 hockey game!

re: #94 by Rodan
Maybe my statement was a little to broad. All I mean is that there will always be people who dislike someone for some reason or another. But when it comes down to civilization in general, that is when we should all band together to combat the global threats. If they cannot play by the rules kick them to the curb too. We have to bring everyone together in a straight line…this is what we are fighting for and your petty bullshit doesn’t play here. No time to hate the Jews or anyone else, that is not part of the game plan. Common rules have to be agreed upon.

Indians sign Acta as manager
Comment Email Print Share
Associated Press
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians have hired Manny Acta as their manager.
Acta
Team spokesman Bart Swain said Sunday that Acta has signed a three-year contract with a club option for 2013. Additional terms were not disclosed.
Acta was fired by the Washington Nationals in July.
The Indians chose him after a second round of interviews over former New York Mets manager Bobby Valentine and Indians Triple-A manager Torey Lovullo.
The team had been expected to interview Dodgers hitting coach Don Mattingly.
The 40-year-old Acta also interviewed for Houston’s opening.

“That is a screwed up situation in Washington with a new special coach calling plays. Talk about cutting the head coaches balls off?”
Well, Zorn has done an abysmal job of calling plays. Just awful. Sonny Jurgenson and Sam Huff have been complaining about that all year, and they are NOT whiners. (I always listen to the games on the radio because I prefer Sonny and Sam to the TV jerks.)
Short of firing Zorn mid-season, I don’t know what they could do.
Dan Snyder is the problem, IMHO, but there’s nothing you can do about a bad owner.
The New York Times: The United Nations has assigned an official, “a special rapporteur on the right to adequate housing,” to check the city’s affordable housing. The rapporteur, Raquel Rolnik, is to tour the city for the next three days with housing advocates and city officials to “hear the voices of those who are suffering on the ground,” she said.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Quick quiz: What do these enterprises have in common? Farm and construction machinery, Tupperware, the railroads, Hershey sweets, Yum food brands and Yahoo? Answer: They’re all more profitable than the health insurance industry. In the health care debate, Democrats and their allies have gone after insurance companies as rapacious profiteers making “immoral” and “obscene” returns while “the bodies pile up.”
Ledgers tell a different reality. Health insurance profit margins typically run about 6 percent, give or take a point or two. That’s anemic compared with other forms of insurance and a broad array of industries, even some beleaguered ones.
Profits barely exceeded 2 percent of revenues in the latest annual measure. This partly explains why the credit ratings of some of the largest insurers were downgraded to negative from stable heading into this year, as investors were warned of a stagnant if not shrinking market for private plans.

re: #190 by Nevergiveup
Bipartisanship?
Seriously though, I think that anyone that would care about those numbers already has their mind made up one way or the other.
It would make a good talking point if it were condensed somehow. Maybe comparing the industry as a whole to one company at a time in a series of spots.
Not that the RNC has enough brains or balls to do that though.
re: #190 by Nevergiveup
In truth we hope the health care industry in smaking a healthy profit. Sectors of the economy that aren’t making profit are dying sectors. It is really that simple. I want the health care industry to thrive. Only a total fool feels otherwise.

Excuse me for #195.

I’d have walked up t him after that, shook his hand and grabbed him by the testicles and squeezed until his eyes popped out of his head, and then skull-fucked him blind.
How do you get more diplomatic than that?

re: #204 by Iron Fist
We’re saving you for Sec of Defense!
The problem with being UN ambassador is:
a) You’ve gotta be nominated by the Appeaser-in-Chief;
b) You’ve gotta be confirmed by a Senate which follows the lead of the Appeaser-in-Chief; and
c) You’ve gotta then enunciate the policies promulgated by the Appeaser-in-Chief and his cabal of advisors.
Other than that, it’s duck soup.
re: #190 by Nevergiveup
Any time I hear some communist crying about profits being too high, and note they are always expressed in net terms instead of rate of return per dollar invested, I wonder why they don’t invest. If it’s such a slam dunk, billions in profits, you would have to be an idiot not to join in the game.
re: #210 by wolfie
I’m down with that. I prefer the older designation. War is the natural state of affairs between nations.
re: #197 by wolfie
Dallas fans on the other hand love the Redskins. No matter how bad a season we’re having there are two games we know we can win.
(b) is no problem. You just pull a Sotomayor. Say whatever you have to. (Lie like a rug!)
(c) is only a minor glitch. You follow the determined spiel, but phrase it in your own droll way. (Again, the solemn face is essential here.)
(a) is just a little trickier!

Have we noted that Johnson has expunged his infamous LGF dictionary? Not picking it up in this thread.

Jay Tea at Wizbang had this with
The Lizard Blinks
http://wizbangblog.com/content/2009/10/25/the-lizard-blinks.php
And I’ve followed on with
Fauxblography: Johnson Expunges His Own Dictionary from LGF
http://americandigest.org/mt-archives/bad_americans/fauxblography_johnson_exp.php
Both sites have their own PDF’s of the dictionary suitable for downloading and reposting.
If we all did this, perhaps we could make the LGF Dictionary PDF rise to the top of the page rank for LGF searches.
Just a thought.
What is all this then?

re: #244 by Gerard Van der Leun
Zombie may have asked him to take it down. It doesn’t show up during a breief perusal of Zombietime. CBA asked him to take down her LGF FAQ. Either way, the LGF that that dictionary was applicable to no longer xists. Charles has thoroughly destroyed that. There will be no out of the ashes for LGF. It is done and gone.
re: #248 by buzzsawmonkey
If Kroger can display “Jessica Simpson’s Christmas Favorites” CD before Halloween, then I should think it’s NEVER too early!
re: #244 by Gerard Van der Leun
The dictionary can still be found on zomietime with all who made it happen still listed. It was something I worked hard on and was giving second billing by zombie for my effort.
When it moved back to 1.0 the credits were scrubbed because most of us who had anything to do with were banned by then.
re: #244 by Gerard Van der Leun
I wonder if Comment #17 would get Charles banned nowadays.
re: #247 by buzzsawmonkey
You’re right. Monty Python used the phrase and my direct quote is from Silverado when John Cleese’s character said it.

I am shocked the Chargers won today. But then they did play the hapless chief’s. Which is like a “bye” week, except only better.
I am also shocked that Cincinnati is kicking the the living crap out of Da Bears!
Now what’s up with New Orleans, are they that afraid of Dolphin’s?
re: #261 by buzzsawmonkey
Yes, they are! It’s a little too hard to sing the first one until you realize you have to rephrase from the original. WEN-ces-laus has the accent on the first syllable, whereas Charles-JOHN-son is on the second, so you have to adjust. (Does that make sense?) It would work better if there were a 3 syllable name for CJ accented on the first, I think.
In the lovely “We Three Sycophants,” I’d drop the “you” after “downding” and “blackball.”(?)
This is feedback from an unmusical unpoet— just picking up the new hymnal and singing the new words!
re: #258 by song_and_dance_man

I recall you have mentioned that at AD. BTW I just posted a comment but it has not appeared. Is there a wait time for the comments to be approved?
re: #264 by wolfie
The “Wenceslaus” transition seemed to work for me, but then I don’t sing a lot of Christmas carols.
I think you’re right about the “you”s, though they seemed to work when I first ran through them in my head.
Fortunately, it’s still early in the season—and my experience is that people tend to correct these minor errors if they start actually warbling the words.
re: #263 by bar
am also shocked that Cincinnati is kicking the the living crap out of Da Bears!
I have the Bears /Bengals on. 31 to 3 Bengals midway through the 3rd quarter.
Da Bears, my friend are going to stage da big comeback.
Maybe wishful thinking.
Actually, on second thought, Good King Charles Johnson works fine. I think I’m confusing reading with singing.
re: #253 by song_and_dance_man and thanks for the location of the original lgfdictionary at zombie. I’ve updated my post to include that.
The Begals just scored again. Now it is Bengals 38, Bears 3.
Time to put in Coach Ditka my friend. It will be unfair. Da Bears!
re: #272 by Gerard Van der Leun
I just saw that and thanks for the hat tip.
BUZZ- Mr. Wolf says “Good King Charles Johnson” works perfectly in the sung tune because each syllable should have the same stress anyway.
(Well, that’s not exactly what he said in Musicalese, but that’s my English version.)
Yes. It works great once I sing it aloud!
Time to feed the wolves!
Looks like Dallas is ahead of Atlanta, 24-14. I’m basing it on the latest Twitter updates concerning the game.
re: #257 by coldwarrior
Yeah, Charles will never be loved by the Left for things like “St. Pancake” and “Car Swarms” and just generally being truthful about the Islamic threat. The thing that made LGF shine was that Charles got it, and gave the rest of us a playground to play in.
Now it is clear that he doesn’t really get it, nor did he ever really get it. He was just smart enough to stay out of the way when the Right was ascendant. I think he’s jumped the wrong way, since I think we will recover from this slide. Tepublicans would still likely hold the House and Senate if they’d fuckin’ governed like Republicans. They were like Democrats, partying in corruption and massive over-spending. Well, the Donks have carried that on in spades since they got the House and Senate back.
As I said, though, be that as it may, Charles himself is fucked. If the Right wins a landslide next year, he won’t be able to switch back. He’s done. And the Left will never accept him. He is truly damned beyond any redemption.
da Bears look bad
re: #262 by rain of lead
That is one bad ass jam, fitting music for one bad ass military. I love the quotes from George C. Scott playing Patton, did Patton really say those things?
re: #280 by Rancher
If you’re talking about the opening scene with Patton’s monologue in front of the American flag, then yes, those were Patton’s actual words.
They were taken from several speeches he gave to his troops.
re: #278 by Iron Fist
St. Pancake was a good one. But did Charles himself actually use that or was it some lizardoids that came up with it and used it?
re: #280 by Rancher
Patton
He said it. I like Patton. He is the way a soldier should be. Kill the enemy, and by God yes I glory in it. The more enemy die, the fewer of my own I have to bury. Who can argue with that?
I wonder what Patton would have to say about the 0
re: #275 by wolfie
Now all we need is a group of carolers and a webcam, and a little bit of video editing. This could be giggles.
re: #282 by Moe Katz
I don’t think Charles coined the term St. Pancake, but I’m pretty sure he used it on one or more of the many anti-Rachael Corey threads he put up. He also used to advise people by stock in Catterpilliar. I doubt the “Peace, Love, and Kill the Jews” set would have been amused by that, either.
Looking back at the dictionary, I think this is pretty ironic:
I wonder how much time zombie spends at LGF now. I’m surprised Charles supported his report on science czar John Holdren.

i think a sort of ‘rule’ here at 2.0 is that if any word/term is used out of the 1.0 dictionary, it should be folloed by the trademark sign or a 1.0 in parenthesis.

Only one thread so far today?
re: #303 by Moe Katz
It actually matters, because the IDF investigated, and found that she wasn’t visible to the operator in that position. The IDF edition of the D9 is a little different from the standard construction version, because it’s armored.
Personally, I think she was a useful idiot, and the Palis deliberately put her in harms way with the intention of getting her killed for the propaganda value.

re: #315 by Speranza
Wouldn’t have mattered if that was what happened. It is still funny as hell. Although I can see why Charles and Sharmuta wouldn’t laugh. We are laughing at them, not with them.
I don’t notice that they’ve mentioned the new one, but it would be easy to miss something in the avalanche of comments and the Barnes & Nobel pimp posts (I wonder if pimping for B&N pays any better than pimping for Amazon?)
S’prise! Sharm thinks what Chuckles posted is spendiforous:

Leave it to teams like the LA Raiders or the Anaheim Ducks to bring championships to LA.
Forget the LA Kings or former LA/Anaheim Rams, they don’t cut the mustard.

Never let facts get in the way of good propaganda. Jenin “massacre”, “Occupied Territories”, (the West Bank was part of the territory allocated to Israel but seized by Jordan), “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, and of course the very term “Palestinian” to describe Muslims in Palestine when it used to mean anyone living in Palestine. There is no such ethnic, national, or racial demographic classification called Palestinian until a New York PR firm came up with it.
