Attack of the Little Green Nutballs

Blogmocracy In Action

Guest Blogger: Doriangrey

Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs is once again on the attack against HotAir.com.

WARNING: The following links go to Little Green Footballs a crazy Progressive blog, and may very soon be redirected to a annoying screen…

For today’s selections from the thousands of extreme, hateful, racist, and/or violent comments posted at Hot Air, we’ll start with some comments posted in this thread: Hot Air » Blog Archive » Hume’s challenge to media: Do you really want the Gibbs Seal of Approval? (Again, note that some of these commenters were banned from LGF, and have been seen at other websites complaining that their accounts were blocked for no reason other than simple disagreement. Their own comments here show how false this is.)

Of course not, Oba-Mao is their messiah, he holds their Marxist ideologies every bit as dearly to his heart as they do their own. Were the founding fathers alive today, they would be hanging these ba$tards from the nearest Liberty Tree for treason. Benjamin Franklin would be spitting flames to see what his precious Fourth Estate has become.

doriangrey on October 21, 2009 at 8:18 AM

I’m flattered that Charles placed a comment by yours truly first.. His failure to grasp genuine American Patriotism pretty much says all there is to say about Charles. This attack on HotAir by itself would have simply made me chuckle to myself, however since it was followed by a personal attack Against Ed Morrisey

meanwhile, several prominent conservative bloggers and newly-minted Johnson foes such as Hot Air headliner Ed Morrissey and actual cartoon character Pam Geller are standing around talking about how much of a big, diaper-wetting baby Johnson has turned out to be (the character depicting blogger Dan Riehl even explains, lest any subtlety make its way into the panel, that Johnson “just needs his diaper changed”).

I have decided to write about it.

Charles Johnson has become a paranoid delusional tyrant attempting to exercise the same kind of ruthless Chavez like control over other blogs as he exercises on his own blog. He is a mean spirited detestable punk.

One day, perhaps far sooner than any of us care to admit Charles is likely to get his fondest wish, that the government will exercise the same kind of ruthless vicious censorship over the internet that he exercises over his own blog. When that day comes, Chuckles the clown will discover that even a bootlicker like himself has no immunity to censorship.

Update by Rodan: I never like to step on a Guest Post but I have to link the new Bite Me! Comics Episode of Charles “Icarus” Johnson and Sharmuta!

    Johnson said,

…and have been seen at other websites complaining that their accounts were blocked for no reason other than simple disagreement. Their own comments here show how false this is.

Why does Johnson keep lying about why and how he and his “monitor lizards” ban people?

It’s patently obvious to even casual observes at this stage that Johnson does in fact ban many people over trivial, stupid, or strange reasons, and for not agreeing with his positions on global warming, creationism, etc.

I don’t post at Hot Air, but I was banned at LGF 1 shortly after putting some anti-evolution links into a post there.

I don’t even think the links were to the dreaded “Discovery Institute,” and I think this was before he forbid the linking to sites he didn’t like, making that a moot point anyhow.

I was as well-behaved at LGF 1 as I am here at the Blogmocracy. I was not a rude, nasty, disagreeable, obnoxious jerk at LGF 1. I was polite and was kind, even when on the receiving end of abuse.

  52. 53 | October 24, 2009 8:47 pm

SelrahC is not to be believed in his claims of not expelling people for differences of opinion.

Remember, this is the fellow who lied about Glenn Beck in the notorious frogger incident.

Before that, the Communist sleeper site, LGF, claimed that a Glenn Beck supporter said some weird things at a Beck meeting even though Glenn Beck showed it was a Beck opponent that said it. When Glenn Beck countered selrahC’s nonsense, selrahC whined that Beck was a punk — a punk.

SelrahC’s response was both amusing and pathetic!

I think the best parody of selrahC’s ignorance and hostility to the American principles was done by TQ Cincinnatus with his satire on Little Green Slimes dumpster divingremarks about the comments of our Founding Fathers.

Oh yeah, I remember that quote. Someone here pasted it into an old thread a few months ago. I guess now Johnson would probably deny he ever said it, if confronted with it?

I’m probably one of the nicest people you’d ever meet (online and in person); sometimes I have lost my temper on occasion, don’t recall doing so at LGF 1, but I’m usually a very sweet person.

I’m pretty milque toast and harmless, I don’t normally pick fights with folks, and so for him to ban me from his blog says something about him.

Also, ‘Goddess of the Classroom’ is a very nice person (she was not a trouble maker either), and he banned her!

  74. Whippet
    75 | October 24, 2009 9:01 pm

LGF is going after HOTAIR just to get traffic because he doesn’t have any left. I went over there and the linkviewer pulled up only 9 linked articles (and my page is set up for 25 over one day.) I’m assuming that means only 9 have been linked today? And 7 of them are by Thanos…..He’s got only slightly over 100 comments per post…he’s got to be hurting really bad!

But the funniest thing about the Hotair post is those horrible racist/violent/extreme comments are nothing racist/violent or extreme. And he thanks KKKilgore Trout for wading through Hotair to find them. How rich is that? It’s just more proof that he agrees with the despicable actions of KKKilgore’s reign of racist comments over at Hotair weeks ago.

LGF has become quite an embarassment. And to have to resort to linking to places like talkingpointsmemo? LOL!

All I did was refer to Charles once as irrelevant, pagan, religious bigoted, waffling puke, with man boobs, strange taste in music, and delusions of grandeur, looking for notoriety he couldn’t find with a microscope.

I wasn’t quite so eloquent. I just posted that I was checking back every couple of weeks to see if the non-causal spontaneous generation universal origin theory mania had died down yet. I then stated it appeared that it had not and that I’d check back in a couple of weeks.

Tried again in a couple weeks and was blocked.

So instead of a semi-qualified person for Vice President, we got an unqualified person for President. And, we are certainly getting what we asked for.

Actually, I would think that Obama is doing a much better job overall than W.

I would also consider him vastly more qualified in terms of experience, education, temperament and intelligence than W. as well if only because Obama would never do this:

GWB liked to do that… you can see him in several photos in that pose.

Do disagree with you though, at least about the “experience” part. President Obama came into office with a dearth of executive experience and I think it has manifested itself.

OK that’s fair. I am certainly not coming out and saying that Obama is the greatest president ever. I also agree that he has shown something of a learning curve. However, I am pleased with the overall direction of that curve.

However, I would suggest that being a senator is likely comparable to being a governor in terms of executive experience. I would further suggest that in terms of track record as an executive, while Obama has no business experience, W’s history was one of failure after failure. And honestly, being a professor of constitutional law is not exactly trivial.

Being a Senator is comparatable to being a GOVERNOR??

Yeah, except for that whole running a whole state, budgeting, hiring and firing thing……

I think this place is pretty centrist. It is early yet, but because there is more than one Admin here we get a balance. I really don’t know what I am trying to say, however the commenters on here are on the whole polite, and when it does get heated then next day some of the hot debaters do actually come out and say things like “maybe he does have a point” or ” I can see where he is coming from but”

The thing that went wrong at LGF was the shift in political leaning, that threw off many long time posters. mainly the big problem is CFnJ is now commenting. He never used to, he just posted the topic.

What may be interesting to a professional (it is funny as hell to me) ist the way Johnson cannot sustain a discussion. There is a really good example of that yesterday (or the day before…) I must put that together.

Personally, I think something dramatic occured in his life about two years ago, and among his reactions, a complete detatchment from his previous persona and a subjective reversal of his newly (post 9-11 2001) found conservativism, has resulted in my humble opinion, …..he’s nutz!

It’s not monolithic, but the center of gravity is pretty far right. I’d like to see more moderate views put forward, and to some extent I’d like to contribute to that, but I need to work on my patience and empathy when talking to people I find impossibly right-wing.

It’s possible, I suppose, that he was sincere about the WoT and pro-Israel things, but the lizards were to the right of his comfort level on other issues and he felt he was riding a tiger and couldn’t express himself. Initially, for example, he was not keen on Palin, but the lizards forced him into line. I’ll never forget that thread. So he may have felt like a prisoner of his own commenters. And so he shot the tiger he was riding, and hasn’t got a new ride at the moment. Plausible, do you think?

I’m not so sure he was driven so much by lizard comments, as much as by what was happening around his life. I mean if you remember, he rarely posted his own comments until the last year or two. Then, when he started doing that, it became almost an obsession. A control freak-out. The change in his persona was almost draconian.

    Yet one more theory (!)-

I think Charles is something of an extremist by nature. What I mean is that he gets on kicks that become obsessive.
After 9/11, he got on a Muslim Threat kick and absorbed all of the anti-jihadi material he could digest. He gravitated toward materials that fully supported and fed his fears, while demonizing other voices.
Then he got bored and moved on……to evolution and the Great Creationist Plot.
Then on to Christianist Taliban Theocracy and fluoridated water.
    Then AGW.

    He goes overboard with everything.

Sure, I think that’s part of it. When you say he’s an extremist by nature, one could also say that intellectual limitations doom him to simplistic polemics. You’re a prof, aren’t you? You’ve seen that with undergraduate term papers, I’m sure. Getting to those shades of gray means taking your thinking to a more mature level, which he has never attained. So the simplistic, obsessive blogging is his stock-in-trade….

There are plenty of moderates on this site, but important thing is that we can all agree to disagree respectfully. There are other centrist blogs out there. There are blogs that are have similar political leanings to CJ that have or will pass his readership and comment totals. I will give it to CJ that he was one of the pioneers but he lost that to saner competition. Think Betamax or Compuserve or Commodore. They all were groundbreaking at one time but lost their edge. Even though he probably still has hawkish foerign policy leanings. The remaining posters there are still majority repubican or right of center indies. I agree that he has combed out the dissenters or put the fear of g-d into them. There are a few moments of tension, but the purge is slowing. Downdinging has decreased and comments which previously would’ve been called out by him are more often ignored. Maybe he is worried that if he snufs out the half dozen or so remaining rabble rousers the blog will fall further into oblivion and he will alientate the rest of his regualars (though if they haven’t jumped ship by now, I doubt many will ever). Maybe boredom will finish the job over there as the site has gotten extremely flat and one dimensional.

The comics are billiant. But anyone who knows anything about Sharmuta’s backstory knows she is a very damaged person. Wormtongue has been rightly excoriated for calling an autistic person a ‘brain damaged freak’.

Sharmuta is just as damaged, if not more so, but in a different way.

    She will never be whole.

Truly, I feel sorry for her. As hilarious as the comics are on first read, in the end they make a pinata of a woman who is lost.

    re: #187 by AZfederalist

I got banned over the Vlams Beggan and Filip DeWinter stuff. SelrahC was smearing Pamela Geller as being aligned with super secret Nazis or some such nonsense and I took issue with it. The argument got very nasty and heated on both sides, but I thought LGF’s talk about Vlams Beggan and Filip DeWinter being super secret Nazis (that’s what their argument was)was idiocy and ridiculed them for it.

A few days later I found out I was banned.

SelrahC went progressively downhill from there and the airs he put on his presence such as his posting at his blog was a super super priviledge turned me off from ever trying to get back into his blog by scraping toward the idiot.

bp_sf — I think people need to rant, or vent, as a form of therapy. Many spent years there and feel bitter about what’s transpired and need to get it out of their system. I was there for 8 years, practically not missing a day, never commenting much but still racked up about 1,500 comments, and then was suddenly banned for (I surmise) popping into here and C2. I’m over it though and don’t really engage in the 1.0 bashing, don’t even look over there any more … so I would say to you just leave the 1.0 related posts alone and allow others to vent, and there’s plenty of other material here worth reading.

Suggestion for new 1.0 motto: “All your Nazi are belong to us!”

    Love the Bite Me comics.

Now, I have made the connection before, as others have, about CJ being the most racist Nazi hater on the Interweb. He is pro-choice (pro-abortion, anti-life, pro murder…add yours here…) and therefore he thinks abortion should be available to every woman everywhere. In the US, Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood was founded by the vile racist and Nazi sympathizer Margaret Sanger. Therefore, according to the CJ School of Nazi Connections, he is a Nazi and a racist and, like Margaret Sanger, wants to stop the lower class non-whites from breeding. Anyone disagree with that?

You said it right. Most of the libs I know are sneaky mean cowards. In their hearts they are fearful little people which makes them full of self loathing. They act out like tyrants as much as they can. CJ is in a position to be a big bully with the click of a key. His over the top anger and ruthlessness shows how he feels about himself. He is bitter, frustrated, jealous.
He knows he would never be able to fight for his country, for a patriotic ideal, for freedom. So he attacks what makes him feel uncomfortable and puts down this country and those of us who love it.
He tried being a patriot for a while after 9-11 but something like that became too much for him. He has many excuses for running for the tall grass but the truth is he is a coward.

I saw them take a, and I loved him, bagging pants, no job punk and turn him into a MAN.

It was something to behold that change in him. I remember him sending a picture with his buddies, they were all holding rifles and pistols and I said “they let Joel have a GUN??” LOL.

I have pics of him in the palaces in Iraq and playing with the little kids in the streets.
    I was proud of him.
He felt he was keeping the world safe for his son and the rest of his family.
He KNEW he was doing the right thing.
He said ” I am doing this so in the future, my son won’t have to”.
He was killed in that war in 2003, the first soldier to die by EID.

It’s easy when you’re being bankrolled by daddy, or increasingly with BHO, the federal government.

It’s easy to imagine a peaceful world while you’re sitting around a campfire smoking a joint.

It’s hard when you’re sitting in your office and a jetliner runs into you.

Or driving around the streets of Kabul, hoping that you don’t explode.

Or, in my case, you’re simply working two jobs so that you can remain solvent, while your co-worker needs her schedule adjusted because she’d lose her welfare benefits if she worked more hours. Oh and she thinks she’s pregnant again with her FOURTH child, without the means to pay for ONE.

There have been a couple of judicous bannings here, and quite appropriate. It’s when the ban stick comes out for inane reasons, like posting on {GASP} other blogs not approved, that banning goes from the sublime to the ridiculous.

I find today’s world much too rough and tumble, to be polite, to be genteel. Look at Congress! Fake gentility all around. And we see how well that’s worked out for the American people.

I had this interaction over there before I was banned. Someone was asking how one of David Horowitz’s books was, and Sharmuta comes out with some warning about how he links to Gellar and Spencer. So I pipes up and says “What is this, a crap on David Horowitz thread?” And two seconds later Johnson pipes in a says ” If you don’t respect me, why are you still posting here?” I say, I’m not seeing how that was disrespecting you. I should have said, good point asshole. That was before I caught on how far down the crapper the place had gone.

    Great article:

President Obama agreed to commit an additional 40,000 troops to help fight Fox News,” quipped NBC’s Jay Leno. “Senior White House adviser David Axelrod told reporters that Fox News is just pushing a point of view. Well, yes, but at least they’ve got a point of view.”

After a disastrous summer that saw his approval rating drop more than any other president at the same stage since Harry Truman in 1953, Mr Obama has temporarily abandoned the campaign-style events promoting his stalled health-care reform initiative.

Now, he is stumping for Democratic candidates in states he won last year but which are now in danger. Last Wednesday in Hackensack, Mr Obama took to the stage to proclaim: “Your voice can change the world. Your voice can elect Jon Corzine, governor once again of New Jersey.” Change the world? Mr Corzine is a former Goldman Sachs executive whose political career was launched when he spent $57 million of his own money on a Senate seat in 2000.

The rally was an attempted 2008 reprise. There was the spontaneous (or not) cry of “I love you!” bashfully acknowledged by Mr Obama with a “I love you back.”

There were the Obama-led chants of “Fired up! Ready to go!” and the ubiquitous “Yes We Can” signs.

And as he always does, Mr Obama blamed every economic woe on the Bush years, conveniently forgetting that Republicans are no longer in office and it’s been his mess for nine months now.

National Emergency declared by teh 0 on Friday. What does it mean?

    National Emergency Powers

Federal law provides a variety of powers for the President to use in response to
crisis, exigency, or emergency circumstances threatening the nation. Moreover, they
are not limited to military or war situations. Some of these authorities, deriving from
the Constitution or statutory law, are continuously available to the President with little
or no qualification. Others—statutory delegations from Congress—exist on a standby
basis and remain dormant until the President formally declares a national
emergency. These delegations or grants of power authorize the President to meet the
problems of governing effectively in times of crisis. Under the powers delegated by
such statutes, the President may seize property, organize and control the means of
production, seize commodities, assign military forces abroad, institute martial law,
seize and control all transportation and communication, regulate the operation of
private enterprise, restrict travel, and, in a variety of ways, control the lives of United
    States citizens.
Furthermore, Congress may modify, rescind, or render dormant such
    delegated emergency authority.

Nothing could possibly go wrong. Right?

    re: #431 by BenZacharia

For years the left over there raved about Bush supposedly doing this emergency powers thing. They even got so far as to have Lucas putting the idea in his Star Wars prequels as a fairly crude poke at the government, setting up Palpatine as a parodic mirror of George Bush in a lot of ways. “This is how democracy dies,” Obi Wan said.

Well. We’ll see what Obama does, but it’s often the case that the authoritarian left likes to blame others first for what they intend to do later. It may be projection, but I’m starting to believe that it’s an effort to create a false scandal over the issue so that when they implement it for real they can point to the past criticism they made and say that the right are just trying to get a bit of retribution. “It didn’t happen when we were criticising you, and we’re better than you are so it won’t happen now” is what they’ll say, even as martial law is being declared.

It’s a pattern I’ve seen develop. We’ll see if he goes anywhere with this, or whether the executive order giving him these emergency powers is ever rescinded. I’m willing to bet he’ll never do so.

Then if it turns out to be the wrong decision, he will have an excuse.

Obama is afraid of making ANY decision. By letting actions force his decision-making process, he automatically loses. The guy obviously never played chess, much less go, or even Stratego, as he is completely clueless when it comes to military strategic thinking. He won’t even listen, or meet, with his military experts. With Obama, it’s a domestic agenda over everything, which is very typical for Dem presidents. Dems never do well with foreign policy. Just look at the last two Dem presidents: Carter, with his Iran fiasco (which we are still dealing with), and Clinton, with that whole foreign intelligence fiasco that led directly to 9/11.

Whatever happens to force Obama’s decision-making process, he will most assuredly make the wrong decision, as he will never consider a military option, which means he’s tying one hand behind his own back before the problem even arises. He just doesn’t have it in him to be a military leader, no matter how much he acts otherwise. Unless it is Fox that attacks the US. He’ll be able to wage war on Fox.

Yes. That’s what (s)he gets paid for. And if your intuition tells you that your attorney isn’t doing a proper job, go find another one. The good ones are good, and the others ain’t. In my experience, the ones who don’t keep you filled in generally aren’t doing that great a job in court.

    It causes damage.

If there were women and children around, I’d have to take some serious action against a rock thrower.

Sorry, I wasnt making fun of the damage a rock can do to the human head, I was making fun of the fact that something as substantial as a rock upside the head would be unable to evoke a waking to reality moment in any AP reporter.

He’s declared it an emergency, but his own daughters aren’t vaccinated.

To be fair, a reason was given:

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says the vaccine is not available to them based on their risk.

The Centers for Disease Control recommend that children ages 6 months through 18 years of age receive a vaccination against the H1N1 flu virus. At this time only children with chronic medical conditions are receiving the vaccination because their immune system is not strong enough to fight off the strain.

But I still have to wonder just how much of a national emergency it is when we are giving away to the world 10% of our vaccination supply.

I trust nothing this administration does, including saying the words ‘a’ and ‘the’.

The most recent banning wa a clown called Champion896, I believe his nick numbers were. Yes, one has to be pretty bad to be banned here. Like I said, it’s judiciously used. There are a few others. AvidEditor, I believe (I could be wrong on that one, he might have just left, but that’s not how I remember it), plus a few more. But only a handful. I appreciate that. When someone is more deliberately disruptive than deliberative, can their ass.

I’ve one been here since December, and the blog was around about six months before that. In that time, I’ve only seen a very rare few banned. As it should be. Every blog has to be aware of those who argue for the sake of arguing, with no facts — just emotion and lies. Champy got the boot for trying to play victim by claiming some classmates in a UN work study program were killed on 9/11. Basic research by posters here showed he was full of shit, and when questioned, refused to answer. So when you use lies to back up your insubstantive arguments, the boot is a good thing.

Yeah, like you said it’s used VERY rarely because many of use have been on the abusive end of the banning stick and understand that free speech is sacred and appreciated. That dude(chick) champion clearly had NO interest in dialog, he was just here to slander people.

I made a comment a few days ago about Mad Al-Jaffee over at 1.0 possibley being banned from here over his comment about a sick costume of Roman Polanski holding a baby doll with a champagne glass and a bottle of pills (cj let it stand – nobody called him on it)if he ever chose to flounce from there to her. But in retrospect, if he DID come here, I hope he would be able to defend it or denounce that comment, WAAAAAAAY before a banning would be considered. I DO treasure free speech, and that was more of a guttural reaction, than a practical one.

People who down play rock throwing are in my opinion for the most part self deceived imbeciles. Throwing rocks was most likely mankind’s first method of killing. It was at the very least a method of capitol punishment for several thousand years.

When you have a mob of 25 to 100 people aged 16 through 40 throwing rocks, this is a deadly event. Sadly many imbeciles who have never even had so much as a bloody nose want to pretend that those youths present no actual danger to armed soldiers.

They may not be as dangerous as individuals armed with AK47’s, but they are still a potentially deadly force.

Obama declares swine flu a national emergency

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama declared the swine flu outbreak a national emergency, giving his health chief the power to let hospitals move emergency rooms offsite to speed treatment and protect noninfected patients.

The declaration, signed Friday night and announced Saturday, comes with the disease more prevalent than ever in the country and production delays undercutting the government’s initial, optimistic estimates that as many as 120 million doses of the vaccine could be available by mid-October.

Most certainly, “forewarned is forearmed” and it’s always better to be over prepared than under prepared, but is this truly a “National Emergency”?

Much of the news on this Swine Flu, excuse me, “H1N1″, seems a bit overblown and many of the statistics are unclear. A declaration of a “National Emergency” should be based on hard facts, and the decision to make such a declaration should be made with the utmost seriousness.

Upon review of Declared National Emergencies 1976-2007 (see table, pp.16-18), there seems to have been “National Emergencies” declared for any number of reasons, some very serious in nature, and some somewhat frivolous when viewed from the perspective of history. These declarations have been made by a variety of Presidents, from both parties.

Expansion of Executive Branch power should always be viewed with a healthy dose of scepticism, and in this case, I must say that I am sceptical that this particular situation rises to the level of “National Emergency”. My scepticism is fortified by this particular administration’s lust to control everything from American business, to our free press.

After all, it was Rahm Emanuel, the current White House Chief of Staff, who said:

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

Granted, he was speaking of the “energy crisis”, but philosophy is philosophy, and this administration has followed this same philosophy on a number of issues; using crisis after crisis to expand the reach of government.

Now, we have a declared “National Emergency” as a result of this H1N1 virus, and I have to ask myself, “is this really an emergency, or another instance of the administration seizing an opportunity?”

I suggest you ask yourself the same question.

Actually Yah, they can’t lie about anything.
I have photographs and videos out the ying yang to prove he was here every weekend. As well as family and friends because everywhere I went he went with us.

The boyfriend has a record, a criminal record he can’t lie about that.

Chase has attended every family function with us, every holiday with us, every one of my 11 year old daughters ball games and cheerleading things.
I can document all the financial help I have given my daughter.
I can document all the emotional support I have given her….I kept all the emails she has sent me saying how wonderful the hubster and I are.

Unfortunately because of what type of person she is, I have always had a little voice in the back of my head saying….be cautious, be loving, but be thorough.
I have kept a diary of his visits also.
My facebook page is updated monthly with new videos and pics.
I am currently paying for her attorney to get her child support!
I still have the “dad” bracelet she gave me in the hospital.
I have her friends who have contacted me with their concerns and fears for her and Chase.
I actually have way more than I probably need.

I always wanted to be an attorney so I am a little anal on keeping records I guess.

You’re doing everything right. Keep everything. Your lawyer is like a safari guide – he’s there to guide you through, and keep you safe, and find opportunities. You’ll probably (if you’re lucky) get a Guardian ad Litem, and you need to convince the guardian. Once you have the guardian convinced, you’ve won 90% of the battle.

People are inclined to believe he has changed because he has reversed himself on several very specific issues, Jihads and Global Warming for example.

The reversal was so 180 degree that it has provoked speculation that the real Charles Johnson might have sold the blog and returned to Hawaii to play in a cover band.

That’s shameful and deserving of all of the scorn that can be heaped upon him.

    Thank YOU!

I have to wonder though, and I hope someone can explain it to me.

How can you remove your child from the people he loves and who have raised him half the time his whole life just because they won’t shut up about the ex con boyfriend who has 4 kids with 4 different women, never keeps a job, is 10 years older than her and has done prison time for domestic assault and is constantly in trouble (the latest is passing bad checks)?
And she leaves Chase ALONE with this guy all day!!

I mean, I am SURE most people would welcome him with open arms!!///

And it wasn’t a gradual drawdown, it was 3 days a week (days and nights mind you) to NOTHING.
    Zero.

Seriously, how can you hurt your own child like that, no matter how mad you are at your mom?

BTW Grim, everyone thinks that but the truth is, the hubster raised her (and her two brothers) since she was 6 weeks old (her mom run off) and we married when she was 7.
But they all call me mom because I am their mother. And I love them and have treated them all the same. They haven’t seen their biological mother in over 20 years.

How can she do this to her FATHER?
And biological or not, I am his grammy and strangely enough he does resemble me!!

I don’t know if, when, or how Charles (the skunk) changed. All I know is that his blog changed. Seems to me a blog should be and usually is a place for people to exchange ideas and opinions freely without fear of being banished, ridiculed, or humiliated. All I know for sure is, since Charles started overseeing daily posts at LGF 1.0 that the air there is thick with the mean spirited, hate filled talk of Progressive Liberalism. This is who and what I have to assume Charles is. An Obama loving, mean spirited, hate filled Progressive Liberal ( an Obamunist.)

  542. 544 | October 25, 2009 10:11 am

    re: #535 by Grimcargo

Depends on how the contract was written and the amount of the purchase price. I used to own a small independent record company, in the music industry it’s not entirely uncommon. Remember John Fogerty, or Prince?

In John Fogerty’s case his band was Credence Clearwater Revival, but the actual contract was to John Fogerty LLC, it took him 20 years of legal battling to obtain the rights to his own name.

My Former employer Cater Penley is currently fighting that exact same legal battle, his company was Penley Sports, he has had to change the name of his new company to Penley Research and Development because he sold his company Penley Sports.

So, while I have no idea if the speculation is true, I do know that it is entirely possible that Charles name might have been part of the contract.

I don’t know what happened to her.
We provided her with everything, paid for her college and she dropped out in the first semester.
Bought her a car and she let another bf drive it who had no insurance or driver license.
I don’t even want to count up all the money we have given her or the emotional toll she has taken on me from worrying about her.
Every time she gets a bf, we go through this. She loves and needs us until she gets a man, then she cuts us off.
    EVERY time.
She went one year without seeing her little sister simply because she was mad at us.

She stripped for 2 years and I turned a blind eye to it.
We tried to accept every loser she has brought over.
But things had to change after she had Chase.
I have to make a choice. Continue to tolerate her lifestyle and “maybe” get to see my grandson as long as I toe the line and don’t say anything about the dangerous situation he is in…

    or

Do everything I can to protect and nurture Chase even if it costs me my “relationship” with my daughter.

Scanned through some of your posts about your grandson. Went through something like that in 1992. So the wife and me and my grand child’s Dad went to an attorney. Custody is hard, but guardianship was easier and cheaper, and with the Dad recommending it, it was a dunk shot.Mom didn’t even show up to the hearing. So we were court appointed guardians and she came to live with us. It was hell, though going through it and wondering about what was going on when she wasn’t with us. She is 17 now. Still lives with us, but sees her Mom. The loser is long gone.

Good Luck to You. It is really a hard time. But fight the good fight.

You have given me some serious food for thought Kansas.
Chase’s dad does not want to pay child support, he has moved on with his life and has a new fiance who has two boys of her own.
He has never even seen him.

He does however know what my daughter is like.
This might be a solution that he would buy into.
I will bring this up with my attorney.

The only difference would be that she would fight the guardianship.
With what I dont know though as I am currently paying for her attorney……

God bless you, you may have provided a way I can save my grandson!

As someone who has met CFJ personally, I don’t buy the “in it for the money” explanation for his implosion. It’s sadder than that. Johnson is a textbook warning for all of us – don’t spend your entire existence behind your computer or you will drift off from reality. Because he spends very little time with other people (his recreation – cycling – is something you essentially do by yourself even when in a group), he has made up the outside world for himself… racists under every rock, creationists taking over the country, etc. You start to ban those who disagree with you, than you ban more and more of them. This is not about politics at all. It’s about pathology.

Agrred, I think this is fear mongering, plain and simple.

According to what I could find in a quick search:

“Deaths from Flu: 63,730 annual deaths for influenza and pneumonia
(NVSR Sep 2001); estimated 20,000 deaths from
    flu (NIAID)

Cause of death rank: 7th leading cause of death in 1999 and 2000
    is “pneumonia/influenza” (CDC).

The fact is that simple “flu” kills a lot more people than is generally thought, and I have to wonder how many of the “1,000 deaths” include not only H1N1, but also “garden variety” influenza.

I was in a little bit of a similar situation and wasn’t completely aware of the costs I would incur.

If someone strips they can acquire a lot of money, relationship, and drug issues. There are a lot of parasite men thinking a stripper is a great girlfriend to use.

The biblical parable applies. Teach her to fish instead of giving her fish. Give advice only. She will take money but just waste it and make poor situations. And she will learn to blame everyone else when her life still sucks and she’ll work hard on being unaccountable. When a day to day job would have just made her more money and gave her better habits.

invite her over for dinners. Do potlucks where she has to contribute. Expect the boyfriend to do dishes if he doesn’t cook. Be nice. but don’t open your pocket book. Except on occasions you can enforce an enjoyable memory.

This reminds me a lot of a person getting screwed up by taking coke. There is a way out of it but the person has to do it. The coke user I was dealing with got dark and ugly and the drug isolated them from all their normal relationships. Suspicion became the order of the day. Rehab worked the first time in a clinic for about 3 months, then the old habits came back, about the third time and a new spouse and a new child and the responsibility of being a human finally kicked in. Still issues but once the drug usage stopped it became manageable.
