Blogmocracy in Action
Guest Blogger:Delectable
This post is meant to inspire you all to further action. On Friday, I posted a call to action for Blogmocracy readers, to email their senators/congressmen, telling them to drop out of the J Street Annual Gala. Please read that post right here. It contains critical information about J Street!
I wanted to let you all know that this advocacy has been working and WE ARE WINNING!
Just check out what the Weekly Standard has to say:
The names of Reps. John Salazar (CO-03) and Ed Towns (NY-10) have been scrubbed from the list of congressmen serving on the host committee for J Street’s inaugural conference. That brings to ten the number of congressmen, Republicans and Democrats, senators and representatives, who have bailed on J Street after learning that, contrary to their promotional materials, they are not a pro-Israel group. Apparently even the Friday afternoon roll out of Jim Jones as the conference’s keynote speaker — an announcement that J Street surely would have preferred to make on Monday but which they were compelled to move up lest their entire roster of Congressional supporters defect en masse — wasn’t enough to stanch the bleeding. The tally of defections so far:
Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR)
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS)
Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE)
Rep. Mike Ross (D-AR)
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX)
Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-IA)
Rep. John Salazar (D-CO)
Rep. Ed Towns (D-NY)Among the members who remain on that list there are a few who aren’t likely to hang around much longer. Senator Mark Udall is too savvy to be caught up in this mess. Will Senator Mark Pryor really go to the mat for an anti-Israel, pro-Hamas organization? And what about Republican Reps. Charles Boustany, Brian Bilbray, and Howard Coble? Are there large anti-Israel constituencies in those districts of which I was previously unaware?
I doubt those three are even aware their names are on this list, but after watching J Street speaker Josh Healey’s rousing performance of “Queer Intifada” in which he declares that “Guantanamo is Auschwitz” and “Anne Frank is Matthew Shepard,” I’m pretty confident they will ask to have their names removed.
Healey also wrote a poem about how “We’re the ones writing numbers on the wrists of babies born in the ghetto called Gaza.” A few weeks ago in his speech to the UN, Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu drew some very obvious parallels between the Iranian regime and Nazi Germany. The anti-Israel left went nuts (see Andrew Sullivan here, Juan Cole here, and Philip Weiss here, for example), but here is a J Street confederate who compares Israel and the United States to Nazi Germany every time he picks up a pen. Even by the left’s own standards this kind of thing is beyond the pale. What member of Congress can attach his name to an event where the speakers will accuse the United States of running a concentration camp at Guantanamo?
Our advocacy is WORKING! Please continue to write to your senators/congressmen and keep up the pressure on J Street!
Already J Street is complaining of the scary “neocons” who are running them out of town! Poor, poor progressive babies!
The updated list of senators/congressmen attending J Street is right here. Please check if your senator/congressman is on the list!
We cannot let this progressive organization succeed in re-defining the English language!

Excellent news! J Street is a Trojan Horse. They are as pro Israel as LGF is a conservative blog.
ACTION, not AVTION.
Andrew Sullivan is a classic jerk off.
Two new threads within 5 minutes of each other. We need better coordination.
re: #3 by Speranza
That he is!
He also is the model CJ is following! Sully is now anti-Israel. Don’t worry – CJ is next!
Anyway – I hope this post inspires action!
re: #4 by Speranza
LOL – I just write ‘em, I don’t post ‘em!
re: #5 by Delectable
cj loves him some barry.
# 4 Speranza
There is a need for a blog junta, with a monthly rotating top junta/juntaette controlling the posting switch.
re: #5 by Delectable
I submit that cj is already anti Israel. Doubtful anyone would be allowed to post a comment strongly condemning Husseins edict re: “settlement” growth. Any socks willing to take the hit?
I would if I could figure out how to change my ip.
asshole has me blocked
re: #5 by Delectable
Sully I think is demented. He makes CJ seem a model of rationality. I agree, he is the model that CJ is following.
Hubby wrote to the honorable pos from CT Chris Dodd and suggested he ask his fellow CT senator to explain J street. LOL!
re: #10 by typicalwhitey
Google “web proxies”. You can peek through the keyhole.
cj is ok with libral Jews so long as they stay within the green line. Show support for building religious “settlements” and you will be shown the door.
spacejesus is talking ’bout us.
wahhhhh
lol
re: #1 by Speranza
Great analogy
re: #15 by typicalwhitey
he came over here the other day and was the most pathetic troll I ever saw.
re: #17 by Speranza
He is on the Invisible Undergrad thread.
He will be going bye bye:

MSNBC has nothing but left-leaning hosts some of which are obviously peddling unfair characterizations of conservatives and their intents. That doesn’t cause me to say they aren’t a legitimate news organization.
Shawn Hannity doesn’t tell Fox News what news to cover as I’m sure Rachel Maddow doesn’t either over at MSNBC.
And those who say Chaves actually does close media outlets evidently do not realize how it started there. It was first a war of accusations and words just like this.
Dovish Jews? They love Israel? Excommunicate them
By Bradley Burston
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1122104.html
We don’t need them. They’ll never see things our way, no matter what. Let them go
Among these counterparts, it develops, is J Street, the new dovish lobbying organization which describes itself as pro-Israel and pro-peace. Writing ahead of J Street’s first annual national conference, which begins on Sunday in Washington, Liebler argued that although J Street and other U.S. Jewish groups critical of Israel may describe themselves as Zionist, “their prime objective is to pressure the U.S. government to use ‘tough love’ against Israel – a euphemism for demanding that the Jewish state make further unilateral concessions to neighbors pledged to its annihilation.”
Good article: Read it.
re: #17 by Speranza
Somebody got an electric fly swatter? Or an old fashioned can of DDT?
re: #21 by snork
I see the little asshole is over at a dead thread. Problaby going to whack off and then run back to Charles and ask for a promotion.
re: #2 by RickMZ
“ACTION, not AVTION.”
I just fixed it. Thanks Rick…
re: #22 by Speranza
Who is that?
re: #24 by Nevergiveup
spacejesus.
I would like to kick his ass.
sorry.
I was thinking FOX NEWS should do a countdown like the news media did with the Iran Hostage crisis. About how many days it is that the Obama assholes are boycotting FOX. It would be great publicity. Each and every FOX show show both lead and end with that.
re: #25 by typicalwhitey
He is insignificant
re: #27 by Nevergiveup
I know.
The terms he uses I find offensive.
# 23 Bob in Breckenridge
No problem. Better to be a proofer than a poofter, not that there’s anything wrong with being a poofter, but it’s not my cup of tea-bagging.
hellooooo from hotalanta, sure is cold here!
re: #25 by typicalwhitey
I saw that cruel term he used. He is a bigot and a hater. Charles shoudl be proud of him.
re: #26 by Nevergiveup
Love it! They (WH) have to attack FOX to distract Americans because of HC, The Wars, CrapNTax etc. Rush said this morning to a caller on how to stop Obama’s agenda by keeping up with the Tea Parties and Townhalls. Keep the pressure up!
i think that is hotlanta isn’t it?
re: #25 by typicalwhitey
RW was sent an emial asking if it wsa ok for you to write him. Wanted to clear it with him first.
re: #25 by typicalwhitey
Another threat of violence. OMG. Ponies. 11ty.
I see that one of my senators, Jim Webb (VA), is on that list.
I have heard rumors that he is, in fact, an old-fashioned antisemite. RUMORS, folks, just rumors. I have heard that the main reason macho-military Webb was so opposed to the Iraq War had to do with a belief that it was somehow a war “for Israel.” (Beats me how so, but…)
I repeat that this is a RUMOR, and one of my sources is not always reliable.
In any case, I will write Webb politely to show my displeasure with his support of J-Street. I have also sent this to other pro-Israel friends in the state, asking them to contact Webb.
re: #34 by Speranza
thanks!!
wolfie,
I just want to say that it’s good to see you here. Was wondering what took you so long!?!
re: #20 by Nevergiveup
I said something similar on the last J-street thread but, if you are simply parroting the talking points of the enemies of Israel, you are NOT Pro-Israel or Zionist.
Hi all. New here. And yes, I am a refugee from LGF.
I just can’t take his obsession with the right and the “Obama can do no wrong” atmosphere.
Well I finished my up last patient. A Root Canal, and I got a beer and popcorn in my lap and the Yankee game about to start.
Great to see you, too, Rick!
I pretty much left You-Know-Where after the election. TOTALLY left it after Wrath was banned, which was the last straw. I posted over here last winter as “Anastasia” but then took a 6-month from the internet.
I am so delighted at how the Blogmocracy is doing!

re: #40 by refugee000
WELCOME!
Make yourself at home quickly. No eggshells here, or need to kiss Admin butt. Just be polite, but disagree (or agree) all you want.
Why not use your old nic?
OOPS!
My congressman is not going but the Senator is. I will be emailing him.
re: #40 by refugee000
On behalf of the 2.0 nation I offer this laurel and hearty handshake.
# 42 wolfie
That I did not know, but I remember Anastasia. Women and their secrets. Sheesh. You must be 29 going on 29, too.
I bailed after the election last year, also. I knew my puny voice would not change the big asshole’s voice, so why bother sticking around.
re: #47 by song_and_dance_man
you are so sweet!
re: #47 by song_and_dance_man
Hey I never got a laurel?
re: #34 by Speranza
I haven’t emailed him in years now. I wonder if it still works.

It does. Btw I am not the one emailing me.
re: #50 by Nevergiveup
My committee is active 24/7 so I only greet the newcomers as I see them.
OK, here is your belated laurel and hearty handshake.
PIMF – I meant I am not the one emailing RW.
re: #52 by wolfie
Oh is that who we are playing?
/
re: #15 by typicalwhitey
What is being said? Is there any credibility to the assertions?
Folks, to engage in sophomoric name-calling might make some feel better, but it is, in the end, counter-productive. Many of us left LGF because of the ideas that were being promulgated in addition to its tactless moderator. We should be striving to win the battle of ideas and not act like a group of neighborhood kids sticking their tongues out at the mean old man who lives down the block.
Denigrating CJ and the others only plays into their “see what they’re saying about us now” arguments.
Holy carp! How in the world did Rick guess my EXACT age? The man’s a genius, I tell you!
re: #55 by song_and_dance_man
Well cash would have better? Or a bottle of Scotch?
Jeter homer 1-0 Yankees.
re: #54 by Speranza
Oh, I know, you were clearing the way for another.
BTW, how is the reminiscing thread going? If you need help let me know. I wouldn’t mind being a co-author.
Hey, I just posted on the open thread, and suddenly it’s not there anymore?
we’ll find you hippie control freak.
re: #55 by song_and_dance_man
“laurel and hearty”?
A seasoned handshake?
re: #40 by refugee000
Welcome aboard!
re: #61 by Nevergiveup
Hey Doc, I was busy all day yesterday and this morning. How badly did your JETS clobber my sorry ass Bills?
re: #62 by song_and_dance_man
I’ve changed it a few times and I got so pissed off at LGF this past weekened I almost ditched the whole thing as I did not want to have any memories of that place.
re: #60 by Nevergiveup
“Or a bottle of Scotch?”
Scotch?! Where?! Gimmie,gimmie now!
43. wolfie
I remember you as Anatasia. Welcome back!
re: #63 by Rightside
That is done from time to time when two entries are posted too close to one another. In this case they were 5 minutes apart.
re: #66 by Rightside
Five turnovers– that score should have been much much worse for the Jets.
re: #63 by Rightside
That was me. I will put it back up in a bit as a new thread (hopefully with old comments intact)
I thought it was a dead thread, and this one went up right after it.
re: #66 by Rightside
Damn Rookie quaterbacks.
re: #64 by calcajun
It’s a quote from Blazing Saddles.
re: #69 by vapig
It’s the piggy! Good to see you! Did you notice our dear Senator Webb is on that J-Street list? Ugh.
re: #74 by song_and_dance_man
Not that I doubt you, but I can’t place that one. Where was that one used?
# 64 calcajun
More like seasoned comedy team good for a few vaudeville laughs.
G-D I hate McCarver and his pal on Fox
Okay on the thread, just thought I broke the intarwebs again.
Doc, I could hear you yelling all the way in Virginia when they missed that FG

re: #75 by wolfie
Is Warner on it too? Bastards.
re: #79 by Rightside
The only good thing was I missed most of the game since I was on duty and didn’t get home till into the 3rd Quarter. But it sure even sounded like we were getting our asses kicked on Radio.
WaPo cannot even do a “non scientific” online poll without leaning leftward. Pathetic.

re: #83 by vagabond trader
It’s Washington Post readers, what do ya expect?
re: #44 by WrathofG-d
I’m using a new nic because I haven’t been tossed off of LGF yet.
I take it to the edge on challenges to the new way both in the articles I put up in the news, and on some discussion threads.
You know that Charles is reading here.
Until I get tossed I’ll use the new nic.
But for now, I’m one of the opposition voices still on LGF.
Now Charles will be frantically guessing who he needs to toss overboard.
re: #81 by Rightside
No, thank heaven. Just Webb. He might respond to negative feedback from constituents, though. (All we can do is try.)
re: #85 by refugee000
He will use the old shotgun approach and to the hell with innocent

It’s the piggy! Good to see you! Did you notice our dear Senator Webb is on that J-Street list? Ugh.
Hiya!
Groan! Most of them are! It a DISGRACE!!!
Senate
The Honorable Jim Webb (VA)
House
The Honorable Gerry Connolly (VA-11)
The Honorable James Moran (VA-08)
The Honorable Glenn Nye (VA-02)
The Honorable Tom Perriello (VA-05)
I think we have just one (Conklin?) that’s NOT on that list. Disgusting!
re: #85 by refugee000
Understandable.
Great to have you aboard. Get to know the place. We are quite different than what you might be used to (if you haven’t noticed yet) as we actually encourage you to “tell us how to run our blog”.
See “F.A.Q.”, “About”, and “Voting Booth”.
Welcome to Free Air.
re: #81 by Rightside
We don’t have Warner anymore, remember?
re: #85 by refugee000
Be careful rumor has it that correlator tool of his knows and sees all.
re: #80 by Bordm
Ah. Now I recall it.
re: #91 by vagabond trader
I told my kids that but by the time they were 12 they knew I was full of shit
re: #89 by WrathofG-d
Heh. I just saw the Voting Booth. Well done!
re: #88 by vapig
Is my Rep on there, Rob Wittman VA-01?
85. refugee000
That’s right! He’ll get you, my pretty! And all you’re little sock-puppets, too!
EEEEE-HEEEEE-HEEEEEEE-HEEEEEEE!!!!!
re: #85 by refugee000
I left because it just wasn’t interesting to me anymore. It was neither enjoyable nor fun. I walked away because I did not feel like walking between two camps–and trying too hide who I was over here (might bold talk for a man using a pen name). I say, wash you hands of the place and come on over and come out into the open.
Then, we’ll get ya!//
re: #96 by vapig
I bet you look good in black?
95. Rightside
I checked the link that was posted and listed all the VA reps I could find.
There are more listed than not, anyway. It’s pathetic!
re: #94 by Russkilitlover
Nope, your Rep is not on there!
re: #90 by vapig
Did he die or something? Was I asleep?
Jack Nicholson is at the Yankee game in LA wearing a Yankee hat
re: #91 by vagabond trader
“Be careful rumor has it that correlator tool of his knows and sees all.”
I’ve been on thin ice there for a while.
If I get tossed it’s not going to break my heart.
98. Nevergiveup
Absolutely!!! One of my best colors! Makes my blues eyes GREEN and my hair redish!
re: #103 by refugee000
“thin ice”
So you question his global warming crap
re: #85 by refugee000
I admire your fortitude. I couldn’t do it anymore. It was becoming too much like a bizarro world third grade playground, where the tough kids were just losers with mad typing skills and way too much time on their hands. Not only had Charlie done a 180 on his own view points, but he demanded that from all commenters as well. Intellectual dishonesty makes any debate impossible. How do you keep your sanity?
re: #104 by vapig
Shit then I gotta get the Navy to assign me temp duty at the Pentagon. You still working there?
ATTN MEMPHIS AREA
I guess it is NOT safe to vote for this guy. From the J-Street website:
I admit that I know nothing about this guy, but if J-Street is going to go to bat to get him elected, that says a lot to me. …and they will know you by your friends….
I’m going to go get some ale and nachos for Mr. Wolf, since it’s baseball night. He will think I am a saint, never suspecting it’s a clever excuse to make nothing but sandwiches for dinner. Heh heh.
Will check back in later!
Where and when is this gala meeting of “The Trust?” Hoefully there will be protests?
re: #108 by WrathofG-d
I assume he is a self hating Jewish Democrat?
re: #108 by WrathofG-d
J-Street obvious is an arm of Transnational Progressives. They are part of the Progressive machine, it’s amazing how groups, the Progressives control.
101. Rightside
Crap – wrong guy. Both Jim Moran and Mark Warner is still there. But Warner’s not on the list. Surprising!
Have you noticed that if your name is either Moran or Warner you automatically win in Virginia?
re: #113 by vapig
Jim Moran is an open Anti-Semite. I have heard him say nasty stuff about Jews/Israel.
re: #108 by WrathofG-d
re: #113 by vapig
Inbreeding?
re: #106 by Flyovercountry
Yes, there is no more free speech at LGF.
What bothers me more is that his obsession with the right has led him to exclude very serious news on the foreign policy front. Now Limbaugh, or the comments at Hotair are the the world’s most pressing issues, not Obama’s fumbling with Russia or Iran.
Of course, he avoids foreign policy because it’s virtually impossible to defend Obama in that arena.
My sanity is kept because I never take internet blog dustups seriously.
re: #111 by Nevergiveup
I know nothing about him, so I cannot (and will not) say.
re: #112 by Rodan
Scratch a J-street’r (or most of the “Pro-Israel” left) and you will find an Oslo re-do’r – when asked how to resolve the Arab-Israel conflict, they will rehash the Oslo Accords (nearly act by act). They have learned nothing from the failed Oslo, and similar attempts at peace with the Arab crocodile. It is amazing to me that even though what they want has been tried and failed, they still stick to it with a sort of religious fanaticism. They cannot see that their way was tried & FAILED miserably, leading to “intifadas”.
What they claim is “fresh” thinking, is nothing but the old “two state” at ALL costs mishagaus that was Oslo.
I have a flux capacitor. Can I make a correlator tool out of that?
re: #117 by WrathofG-d
That’s the Tranzi Progressives and their appeasement plans.
re: #113 by vapig
jim moran is on the J street list still with warner? *confused*
George Allen should have changed his name.
re: #118 by snork
Only if you have Dilithium Crystals.
re: #118 by snork
We like it when you talk dirty……
re: #116 by refugee000
He could still be a relevant blog if he did post on those subjects too.
Then others could just skip the more wacky posts and join in on the foreign policy ones.
That is why I first went there. i thought he posted some great stuff.
But mainly I went there for the posters.
That was the greatest group of people I have ever blogged with.
Smart, witty, scathing and did I say smart?
Am SO GLAD I found most of them again.
re: #123 by typicalwhitey
I have a great piece from American Thinker which explains why American Jews vote liberal.
Want it?
re: #116 by refugee000
That’s what ultimately drove me away. The obsession with identifying every single microscopic nit on the right while willfully and obtusely ignoring the fucking elephant sized corruption and criminally negligent amateurism on the left.
Geeez Loooeeez.
OK, my first suggestion.
I have no idea of feasibility, or even who actually runs this site.
The best thing CJ did over at LGF was his addition of the member submitted news feeds at the top of the page.
When you have dozens or hundreds of people reading the news and submitting, a lot of interesting news and information comes up and could lead to many conversations here.
Just a thought.
re: #124 by vagabond trader
ABSOLUTELY! And thank you!
Would you like my email address?
re: #127 by typicalwhitey
Post it right here.Lot of valid info.

re: #128 by vagabond trader
You are an angel thank you.
It is a serious question I have had for a long time.
re: #126 by refugee000
We do you one better.
If you think something is Thread Worthy, then write it up completely (so we can just copy & paste it) and if we have time, find it worth, (it really usually only has to do with time) we will put it up as a front page thread, and give you credit.
Like I said earlier, we actually encourage you to tell us how to run OUR (yours as well) blog.
re: #130 by WrathofG-d
Seriously?
Does that go for anyone?
And just email it to you?
Thanks.
re: #131 by typicalwhitey
Yes that goes for everyone. This is why “Voting Booth” pages.
It explains it all there.
you send it to The Blogmocracy E-mail
re: #132 by WrathofG-d
Thank you.
I was so eager to post that I didn’t check that out.
re: #80 by Bordm
I just noticed from that clip I’m not quoting the line correctly.
re: #67 by Speranza
Well keep at it. As I mentioned when we first came up with the idea it would be nice for all to see the comparisons of what 1.0 was like in its hey day when it was filled with some of the brightest the net has to offer.
I have finally regained some self esteem after being hit with the banning stick by Mr. Irrelevant–no not the kicker–Charles (ESAD) Johnson and can once again approach the key board and make a comment–somewhere. However, this comment is not related to anything previously commented on, but hey, I’m an Old Guy so bear with me–please see this article at the national cesspool, re the Public Option! http://www.washingtonpost.com/
I call bull poop on this.
By the way, anyone else from Pittsburgh??
The Sullivan link in the text of this blog isn’t pointing to anything relevant, nor does a search for ‘jstreet’ in Sullivan’s ‘Dish’ blog get anything relevant.
re: #136 by Old Guy
IIRC, Bumr50 said he was from there.
re: #136 by Old Guy

Not originally.

re: #145 by typicalwhitey
Yep. So you see what it means to call people kapos.
Jeez, that Gwen Moore is on the list was no surprise to me – she’s the Rep. with the crazy Muslim son who was caught slashing the tires of GOP voters back in ‘04.
But BOTH my Senators! Kohl and Feingold! BOTH Jewish. BOTH moonbats.
I’ll do some emailing,…,
139–Scott Madsen.
You live in the Great State of Mt. Lebanon– So do I!!
Did you know the town’s motto? “There is nothing out there we can’t tax!!”
What school district? I’m originally from DC and a ——– season ticket holder–don’t ask!
You wouldn’t have a Samuari sword for seppuku would you?
re: #148 by Old Guy
Missed your comment, sleeping….up now.
Yeah, the State of……, I heard it from a barber in Brookline first.
Oddly enough though, I moved here for the taxes, at least the schools that is….doesn’t everybody. I had no idea PA Townships could tax earned income until I got the bill. Real Estate agent left that one out. taxes at a local level don’t bother me as much as Federally, at least you can move when the pols get stupid. The whole high school bond thing is leaving a bad taste in my mouth though. I guess they want to push people out to St.Clair on that one.
I’m near Dormont and Lincoln, and coincidently per your DC toss was raised in western Faifax County. My wife bought a bloc of 5 tickets from a lease holder for her firm this year. Made it to the Browns game due to a late cancellation by a client. I did the playoffs last year… my first NFL games since the Skins back when my father had tickets in the seventies and eighties.
No samuri sword, but I’m thinking about a suppresed rifle for the tires of the cars that come down my street at 6am at fifty miles an hour blowing stop signs to miss the lights on Cocoran.
Is this your old LGF handle? I was a June 04 register with my old nic.
