I suppose I should be pleased that this featured LGF howler serves as evidence that we’re having success with our mission to free the 1.0ers from their oppressive cult (as if the flood of refugees isn’t evidence enough). You see, when the regime heads are just makin’ stuff up out of thin air about us, it’s a good sign that we’re winning:
What Sharmuta was referring to, I assume, was this thread. But anyone who reads the post or the comments would see that the latter thought never crossed my keyboard, and that of course it was 2 cents* (as in, you know….nevermind). I was giving a “tip”, that’s it.
But with that BS served up, naturally CJ saw the ball on the proverbial tee and chimed in to confirm that “it doesn’t”. Then:
Ah yes. That tasty egg.
Look, I know that one of the perks of banning netizens is being able to spare oneself the burden of having them come in to defend themselves when crap like this flies out, so I can understand the frustration emanating from over there when they see this blog taking off….but that was laughably pathetic.
*I assume that people are now donating 1 cent ’cause it’s the same product at 50% off.

From the previous thread, but more appropriate here.
Sorry I’m late on commenting on Nancy’s reprehensible defense of the Maoist Anita Dunn.
I would like to add a couple of things. First, Mao’s most important work is “On Guerrilla Warfare.” He was, without a doubt, a master of that. In studying COIN it is required reading. Unlike Nancy, I have actually read it and other works by Mao. Many people in the military have also studied it, none call Mao their “favorite philosopher.”
Second, Mao’s name is attached to an “ism.” Everyone knows this, except Nancy. Therefore, Dunn statement clearly means that she is a Maoist to some degree. If she didn’t mean that, then she is as stupid as dirt and has no business anywhere near the White House.
Lastly, Maoism, by its very nature, necessitates mass murder. Lest we forget, the Khmer Rouge butchers of Cambodia were also Maoists.
http://www.radioaustralia.net.au/programguide/stories/200811/s2424492.htm
“In Cambodia a unique travelling photography exhibition is touring the provinces, the photographs were taken by Swedish man Gunnar Bergstrom in 1978 when he was a guest of the Khmer Rouge.
At the time Mr Bergstrom was a committed Maoist who believed Pol Pot was embarking on a project to create a perfect society. It was only after he arrived home that he realised he’d been used as a propoganda tool – and that far from the perfect society the Khmer Rouge was systematically destroying their own people.”
http://www.economicexpert.com/a/Khmer:Rouge.htm
“The ideology of the Khmer Rouge combined a revised form of Maoism or Mao Zedong Thought (Chinese: , pinyin: Mao Zedong Sixing), also called Marxism-Leninism Mao Zedong Thought or Marxism-Leninism-Maoism (MLM), is a variant of communism derived from the teachings of Mao Zedong ( 1893 1976).”
As Chuckles likes to say, nice company you’re keeping Little Green Froggers.
http://newsblaze.com/story/20060406223240nnnn.nb/topstory.html#
“”Mass death is certainly no stranger to Maoism. Cambodia and Nepal are two democratic kingdoms that have both suffered immensely from the ravages of terrorism. There can be no political justification for acts of terrorism,” Halen, who was born in Combodia, said.
Maoist Khmer Rouge, Pol Pot was the most dangerous person of the killing fields. Radical Maoist movements have failed to take power in Peru, [Oh yes, let's not let Nancy forget about the Shining Path murderers.]”
Good job Nancy, just keep shilling for those who adhere to this doctrine of mass murder.
I have nothing but contempt for the prancing ignoramus that is Nancy Queegson. But even for him, this defense of Anita Dunn is a all new low.
Remember a few years back when Hollywood Halfwit Cameron Diaz showed up in Peru with her Maoist handbag?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-463979/Cameron-Diaz-Mao-bag-row-land-Incas.html
She wasn’t very popular:
She took a bag emblazoned with a Chinese communist slogan on a trip to Peru, despite the country’s recent history during which a Maoist-inspired insurgency led to 70,000 deaths.
Maoist inspired mass murder. Get that, Nancy? It seems that people whose favorite philosopher is Mao do very evil things.
Local human rights activist Pablo Rojas said: “The phrase alludes to a concept which damaged Peru.
“She should not have used that bag where the followers of that ideology did so much damage.”
Nancy, why don’t you leave your basement and go down to Peru and lecture the folks there on how to not be so intolerant of state officials who admire Mao? I would very much like to see that.
First and Second!!!
I am real curious as to LGF’s Fiskie awards and Idotarian of the year awards.
Is it one of those contests where employees and those affiliated with the contest sponsor are ineligible?
Otherwise, in years past UpChuck, Sharmutta, IceW, Killgore etc and the whole happy crew would have been good canditates based upon “old” criteria.
Now, I expect the nominees to be Glen BEck, RUsh LImbaugh, Michelle Malkin, Pamela Geller, SPencer, Tea Party organizers, anyone opposed to Zero’s policies etc.
I wonder if we should have our own genuine Fiske and Idotarian Awards over here complete with voting etc
Okay, Chen, I’m wondering seriously if the guy is a threat to anyone. I swear he is a paranoid schizophrenic–and that is a professional opinion.
You know, if you take that second quote from Sharmuta the wrong way, it REALLY doesn’t sound good at all. It sounds bad.
On another anti-conservative post at LGF: (are there any others?)

has there been a 2009 contest yet at 1.0?

“By the way, i received an invitation via my email to visit a blog that had a bunch of former LGFers as members. I browsed it and didn’t see any LGF hatred on it. Are any of the blogs formed by former Lizards not stalker-type blogs?”
“It’s up to you. If you’d rather hang out at that blog (yes, I know which one you’re talking about) you’ll lose your LGF account.”
Apparently Charles was so upset about all the anti-Mao talk on the right that he decided to show is own Maoist tendencies!
I, for one, am looking forward to the Bloggies (or whatever they call those awards). I remember voting for 1.0 once after he pleaded with all of us to do so. Vote often, I remember him saying. Wow. I didn’t take blogging very seriously then–now I see that it leads to derangement with people who have no other life. Maybe he should get a dog–a hound dog–since he seems to be constantly sniffing butt.
That must be CC. They are very afraid of the elephant (oops) ASS in the room.
re: #6 by Whippet
I’ve seen countless comments at Michelle Malkin’s blog. They’re civilized compared to the comments at LGF, and sane compared to to the comments at pee pee head’s blog.
The real issue with those quotes Chen is that it points out the statist’s primary weakness. They just don’t *get* irony or satire. To most of us on this blog, your $0.02 donation was a master stroke of irony, putting in your 2 cents worth. To the statists on the cult blog, it was just a cheap shot and perceived as being just to cost Chuckie money.
Stupid, with no sense of humor or irony is no way to go through life son.
Just want to say as a physician that last nights Glenn Beck show was the best cable show I’ve seen all year.
I really think it would be fun to have our own Idiotarian of the year awards.
We could have several catagories.
One would be made up of the various posters at 1.0…Sharm, iceW, KillgT etc.
In the blog category we could just give an honorary award…no real suspense there.
WE could also have an award for the best comment that stood up to insanity.
The nominees would be:
1) Deleted
2) Deleted
3) Deleted
4) Deleted

… and of course, everyone over there takes this as the absolute truth since the mere peons are not allowed to even look at other blogs under threat of getting banished.

SHug, also an MD…I missed the show…what was the gist?
I can never stay too long–it’s late and I’m way way too tired to cogitate and bloviate, but you know, You-know-who doesn’t actually DO anything. He doesn’t write anything–he just posts others’ work, and he whines, and he whines, and he behaves like one of the Mean Girls around the cafeteria lunch table. But, there really is nothing but a cult over there. I can certainly see why his wife divorced him. Can you imagine living with someone like him? Hyper controlling. Hyper critical. Hyper arrogant.

re: #10 by Whippet
Isn’t that incredible that no one calls him on it (or are they afraid of losing their precious accounts?)
It speaks volumes about the mentality over there.
How does anyone justify saying if “I find you talk to people on a different blog” you can’t come here and will be deleted.
It is so childish. If you are friends with “X” then you are no longer my friend.
Sounds like GWB “You are either with us or against us”
Notice how few comments he’s getting? …and from the same four people. I look at the stats and wonder how those four have time to leave 2,000 comments a day!

“Good guess … I guess some folks hide it better than others. It wasn’t overt when I checked it out. I won’t be flouncing here. LGF means too much to me.
They have a formal policy of not bashing LGF publicly, but that blog exists solely to recruit people from here. There is also much crossover between the members of it and members of the Doucheblog.
They also have a separate inner core which communicates via email, circulating the stuff they want to keep off the blog. (hint: that email circle smearing LGF and various people here existed even before they were banned from LGF, and that’s why the blog is called what it is: “Correspondence Committee”.)
Their whole purpose is to make trouble while seeming to be on the level. They have used names of people still here in order to get them banned, and other people have gone there to discuss their plans for flouncing. The admins wipe this away as quickly as possible– but it’s only because they intend to dupe people away from LGF, people who are unaware of what goes on behind the scenes there.”
The lies are quite incredible aren’t they? There’s so much projecting going on over at LGF that I’m not sure they even know what they’re projecting anymore. My favorite part is about the private email that communicates what they want to keep off the blog comment. Ummmm, what is the Lizard Lounge? Private I believe? Geesh, are these people really this stupid? Or is it just their desperation? I think it’s both.

re: #99 albusteve

No problem. I don’t think those people are worth talking about or thinking about, but it is important that people know what’s really going on there, especially as the members of it are actively seeking to recruit people from here — and lying to them in order to do it.
The founders will claim they ‘don’t know why they were banned’ or that they were ‘banned for no reason’. They’re lying.
BTW, their official plan was always to move to a forum soon. This is rubbish, as they could have easily set up a free forum within minutes– but they wanted to be on an open blog purely to recruit people from here.
I can assure you that when they do start such a forum, it will have locked threads, inaccessible to the average member, labelled something innocuous like “for admin use only”– and that’s where the main LGF bashing and plotting will be happening.
All I can say is, people are strange…
We’re all lying!!! Lying I say!! Paranoia in full bloom!

That’s my vote for the third alternative explanation, the others being 1) Chuckie is returning to his liberal roots and 2) Chuckie has gone nuts
This resembles that 1950’s experiment with the Milgram experiment. Either somebody is conducting such an experiment with Chuckie’s blog, or somebody is going to be able to get a great grad level study by studying what’s going on there.
I was going to donate another 2 cents for this one, but I couldn’t figure out a way to give it to Sharmuta directly.

Yeah, I lived in northern Florida for a year and my mouth dropped open when I saw a woman wearing a mink coat down there. It was December and about 50 degrees. In Wisconsin, 50 degrees means a fall jacket. That woman must have been hoping and praying for the temp to get slightly brisk so she could drag that thing out of storage.
Isn’t Kilgore Fish supposedly an attorney? He must be a piss-poor one if he has that much time to spend on LGF.

re: #106 by savage
The things I really missed when I lived out East were brats and fresh (NOT smoked) Polish sausage. I don’t even know if you can get the latter everywhere in Wisconsin or if it’s more of a South Side of Milwaukee thing. It’s a little like German weisswurst but more highly seasoned and garlicky. We had it on Sunday mornings, before church. It’s great on the grill.
Once when I came home for a visit, my mom bought me a bunch of fresh Polish sausage from an old fashioned butcher to take back to DC with me. She packed it in a cheap little plastic carry-on because it was only an hour and a half flight. Except I had to change planes at O’Hare and there was a delay and we sat on the runway for at least 45 minutes. By the time we took off, the sausage was thawing and the smell of garlic started permeating the cabin. People started sniffing and saying “What is that?” and I cowered in my seat and hoped nobody figured out where the smell was coming from.
It was half-thawed by the time I got home, but I couldn’t bear to toss it. I had people over and grilled it for them and they raved about how great it was. And nobody was rushed to the hospital with food poisoning, thank God!

I don’t get it. No one there thinks it’s BIZARRE that the host would ban people for posting elsewhere? I guess some people really do like to be abused.

“And CJ gets UPdings for this? Lemmings !”
If Charles posted , “Excuse me, I just belched,” he’d get updings. Sharmuta would praise him for his honesty.

Great place, lots of yummy good stuff!

Well, all those wineries around sounds pretty good to me too, since I love wine.
California- you know, it takes a special sort of negative libtard “genius” to take a state with Calis natural resources and climate and run it into the ground. But, amazingly, the lefties have managed to do it. Reagan is spinning in his grave.
re: #153 by Donna V.
It used to be a paradise out here.
re: #120 by Cheesehead
Same thing here in AZ. First year here, I was in shirt sleeves when others were wearing jackets. After the second summer though, my blood had thinned to the point that anything below 50 is coat weather also. It’s all a matter of what you get acclimated to.

At least thirty or more “O”-s were found dropped on the floor downstairs in the Friday Afternoon Open.

It still is, becept for the Bay Area morons. And the libs in LA. And the Northern California ex-hippies. And the illegals. And Svantzeneggar and Diane Feinswein. And the carpetbagger Boxer. And Nancy Pelota.
Charles doesn’t count because he’s just Charles.
Peoples’ attachment to their “native” foods – I had a friend from New Orleans who would drag back an entire suitcase of food everytime she visited her folks. Coffee, frozen crawfish, spices, sausage, bread, even iced tea fixings, which I thought odd because it didn’t taste any different to me than any other iced tea.
Once I visited N.O. myself, I understood why she missed the food so badly.
re: #155 by AZfederalist
As a life-long Wisconsinite, I relish warm state stories of dealing with the cold. Weirdest thing here is when it’s been below 0 (zero) for awhile, and it gets up to the 10’s or 20’s, it actually feels nice! You’ll actually see people outside in shorts and tee-shirts, really. Cold weather does strange things to people LOL
re: #164 by Donna V.

re: #160 by m
Gooood advice.
My regard for the supercilious Sharmuta and her slavish submission to CJ took its final dive on the night of my banning, and now could not be lower.
Of course, my banning followed shortly after being grilled by her about my objections to Johnsontown’s anti-Tea Party obsession.
She will do anything available on that site to be Johnson’s willing tool, her specialty being ferreting out and identifying untouchables for her lord and master.
It became clear to me on the night of August 31 that the eager Sharmuta never misses an opportunity to be Johnson’s front-row pet, anytime, day or night. The worst sin that anyone can commit in Sharmuta’s view is the holding of any opinion at variance with the Johnson Party Line.
re: #162 by savages_girl
Gonna take you there someday.
re: #165 by Cheesehead
I grew up around Denver, so I totally understand what you are saying. However, after 17 years in Dallas and now 11 years here in Tucson, I’ve decided that cold is not for me. I’ll take 110 in the shade over -20 any day.

re: #172 by Cheesehead
They make some great cheeses AND wine up here in the Great Northwest! There are over 500 wineries in Washington state alone. And SCADS od small independant cheese makers. Hey Cheesehead, have you ever had Cougar cheese?
re: #168 by Edouard
Yep! Before I left (early 08) I made a comment about people sucking up to Charles on fallbacklgf. She issued me a stern written letter (loozard div, UN – wait. that’s not really specific- anyway…) and refused to speak to me again. Had I known, I would have done it a lot sooner.
Oh, and I’m SO stealing the “johnsontown”, lol!

re: #155 by AZfederalist
A few years after moving to DC, I remember walking out of the Milwaukee terminal at Christmastime when the wind chill was -25 and thinking I would die in 5 seconds. DC is hardly tropical, but “cold” to me had become 25 or 30. I had forgotten what real cold was.
It works in reverse too. My sister-n-law, who has never lived anyplace else, complains about “humidity” all summer long. She should spend a summer in Florida – or DC. I recall it being too hot to sit outside at 11 at night.
I didn’t turn on my AC once this summer. Open windows and ceiling fans did the trick. I love the summers here – if they were only a bit longer, they’d make up for the winters.
re: #175 by savage
It must be getting late, but that comment led to a train of thought that led to my realizing that I really miss Mystery Science Theater 3000. (I think the train went from mythical creature — hodag to strange nordic fables Keine Lemon to the tale of the sampo to one of their rifts on that movie) I’ll bet our son would love those movies now.

Hey, the Cali cows are happy cause they put them all on Prozac. They had to be medicated due to their deep depression. Nobody from “Dancing with the Star” was calling them for auditions.
Maybe Cali has the glamorous, fashionable cows, but cheesehead is right we’ve got the rugged, unpampered cows, who go about their daily business without thinking “Maybe someday I’ll be a big star like Elsie.”
OK, now that I’ve done my part to ignite the cow wars, I’m off to bed. Gotta get up fairly early to help my (other) sister-in-law prepare for her 5 year old son’s b-day party. A room full of 5 year olds – don’t you all envy me?

Yeah, but the problem is that smirky smile never leaves that face. We never eat possums in East Texas. Can’t eat anything that smiles at us.
re: #231 by Bunk X
I had bear once. they soaked it in mustard and then grilled it. It wasn’t so bad. I’ve heard people say it’s usually greasy or gamey, but I guess the one time I tried it wasn’t so bad.
re: #232 by Rodan
Good night Rodan
re: #233 by Ti
Heh… I almost said something about trying it from the other end instead of kissing it, but figgered you might think I was insulting you.
All in fun. We’ve got ‘possums here, but I feed ‘em, don’t eat ‘em. They keep the snails, slugs and cats at bay.
re: #230 by Bunk X
Okay, maybe I lied. I have a cat. And the cat controls me; all my thoughts. But, if I had a dog, I’m quite sure that we would BOTH be under the control of, our lord, CJ. praise be upon him sir charles. And HOW dare you besmerch the name of of our lord and god, charles. Shame!
Squirrel, that is the food. Fried, in a soup or with dumplings. Not hard to find with a good dog. Delicious.
Shame I say! You infidel, Bunk X

Checking in for the Night Watch. Who is awake?
From Dr Zero at AoS:
The media’s power to influence the public is not limitless, as we saw during the 2004 election. The wounds of Rathergate run deeper than many journalists like to admit. The 2004 media strove mightily to drag John Kerry across the finish line, but they couldn’t quite pull it off. Kerry’s thudding lack of charisma, and the transparent cynicism of his war-hero routine, were part of the reason, but it was fascinating to watch the media try to work around them. They seemed perplexed over their inability to discredit the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth by repeatedly calling them “the discredited Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.” Dan Rather still doesn’t understand what happened to him.
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/10/16/the-blatant-beast/
More Dr Zero:
The media’s credibility has continued to bleed steadily away. It would be a mistake to believe them powerless, or on the verge of re-discovering the honor of honest, unbiased journalism. No matter how popular a blog like Hot Air becomes, it will never be broadcast in hundreds of airport terminals to a captive audience of weary travelers, like CNN. The newsstands will always contain a sea of conventionally liberal publications, with a few National Reviews and Weekly Standards peeking out.
re: #293 by Number6
I am,
This post reminds me when that Defenseman began his blog, from which I think I am now banned.
In an early post I got into an argument with a person called Anonymous who accused me of being paranoid and Chen Zhen of being a sociopath. Those screen shots reminded me of Anonymous and I cannot help wondering whether it was the Frogman himself. The writing style is similar.
The punch line, after a discussion of the people turned off t by the recent MSM smearing of Rush Limbaugh:
“This week, all across the country, a number of people watched the Limbaugh debacle and decided they just don’t trust the mainstream media any more, joining the people who reached that conclusion during the savaging of Sarah Palin, the unraveling of the global-warming hoax, and many other incidents, large and small.
The successful conservative candidates of 2010 and 2012 will learn how to speak to these people. More importantly, they will learn how to use their time in the spotlight to speak past the media gatekeepers, with memorable words and powerful ideas that haunt the imaginations of voters. We won’t find these candidates by looking for people the media supposedly likes, or approves of. The press liked John McCain more than any other Republican candidate of the modern era, and he’d barely clinched the nomination before the first trumped-up story of a supposed affair with a staffer began floating through mediaspace. The search for a Galahad candidate, of such noble purity that the mainstream media is awed and humbled into giving him a fair shake, is futile. If the press can’t find something real to work with, they’ll cruise the lefty web sites until they find a juicy lie they can use. If there aren’t already blogs full of imaginary “racist” comments from Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, and every other potential Republican candidate, there will be.”
Dr Zero has become one of the more popular bloggers at AoS for good reason.
re: #296 by African Moondog
Hi African Moondog. That ilk loves handing out accusations about the character of people they have never met. It is hard to tell one of them from another.
re: #295 by Number6
Dr Zero is right, but the fact that there are blogs that keep an eye on the MSM and their favorites is one that makes them cry bitter tears.Sometimes the New media slips up, such as that article from the Nairobi standard. If that had come out eighteen months ago we may well have a President Clinton now…….just as well we did slip up.
re: #299 by African Moondog
There are a few stories I wish the MSM had actually done their jobs with, such as: When Kerry sent his girlfriend to Africa for the duration of the 2004 Campaign. Or where the Obama Campaign money was coming from. Or anything about Obama’s sealed education. Nada.
re: #300 by Number6
Kerry had a mistress? I know his wife was from Mozambique so I assumed it was her. Is there such a thing as a faithful US Senator?
The funding of the Obama campaign, his dodgy associates and his sealed records. there I agree with you, admittedly the New Media did the associates very well but slipped up with the rest. In that election one could only envy the voters of Nevada with the “None of the above” option.

Fox News Poll: Most Trust McChrystal Over Obama
NO SHIT!! NO BRAINER!!
I love being alone.
Whole thread to my self now.
I’m still here–I’m just not awake enough to carry the conversational ball.
Well come on nobody keep this thread alive. I will.
re: #301 by African Moondog
Having said that, the idiots gave the state to Obama, thereby negating their natural advantage.
re: #305 by nobody
“Fox News Poll: Most Trust McChrystal Over Obama”
Still, that is a shocking failure on Obama’s part. People barely know McCrhrystal but realize he is likely to be more truthful than the empty suit? Wow.
Am i last?
Vietnam, my war, my story. Shit or get off the pot.
From Best of the Web:
“In a Category by Himself
When we first read this on NewsBusters.org, we thought it was a joke:
‘The Magazine Publishers of America’s American Society of Magazine Editors has added a category to its annual magazine cover awards: Obama. This new category is the only ASME category focused on a single person, and highlights the reverential attitude for the President widely held in the magazine publishing community.’
But it’s true, as we discovered on the ASME Web site. The Magazine Cover of the Year is also the winner in the Best Obama Magazine Cover category, a Rolling Stone cover featuring a beatifically smiling Barack. The runners-up: Entertainment Weekly, The Economist, the New York Times magazine and two covers from The New Yorker, neither featuring a terrorist fist-bump.
The more we thought about it, though, the more this made sense to us. Given how amazingly super President Obama is, there is a temptation to give him every award for everything. Example: It’s hard to imagine that anyone will end up deserving the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize more than Obama will, but if the Norwegian Nobel Committee gives Obama the prize every year, no one else will have any incentive to work for peace. Solution: create two separate prizes, the Nobel Peace Prize and the Nobel Non-Obama Peace Prize. Problem solved!
The separation of Obama awards from others would allow him to get his due, while making it possible for people besides Obama to get some recognition once in a while. Other people, after all, sometimes are worthy too–just not worthy of Obama.”
re: #313 by nobody
Sorry Nobody, I don’t understand that comment. Is it a quote?
First day of deer hunting here. Am i going? Hell no, to many idiots with a rifle. Anyway i’ve killed more with my truck than i have with a rifle or bow.
re: #315 by African Moondog
Yes sir, a quote, mine. Meaning do what needs to be done or get out people out if all that’s going to be done is get them killed.
re: #316 by nobody
I quit deer hunting years ago for the same reason. I was walking to a good spot up a dirt road and every ten feet along the way some hunter ‘coughed’ to let me know he was there. There must have been twenty-five of them.

But that is exist, what about the sctress best representing Michille Obama in a motion picture.

A Pulitzer to the writer whose writings most resemble that of Obama?
Dear Lord, maybe North Korea is not so far away after all.

Occasionally I go bird shooting, and take a fly rod at the same time. It is more relaxing. The desire to shoot animals disappeared quite early on.
Talking about Afghanistan i know what i would do, but i’m not in charge and whether it would be pretty or not would be in the eye of the beholder.
re: #322 by African Moondog
I may still call it hunting but for the last 25 years or so, my hunting is an “armed hike”. I’ve already shot every animal or bird I wanted to shoot a long time ago.
re: #323 by nobody
Winston Churchill did his early soldiering in the area where the current Pakistani/Afghan border is a line on a map and not applicable to the locals. He said that the locals of that area took to war “more or less as a hobby”.
re: #324 by Number6
I know exactly what you mean.
See you in the morning, Guys. Sleep calls….
Once you’ve killed a person hunting animals looses it’s luster.
Am i last again?
re: #329 by nobody
Night #6,
These days even fishing, I prefer to look at the river and observe the bird life and read a book.
Come on people WAKE UP the more you sleep the more life passes you by.
re: #331 by nobody
They are not sleeping, they are in a drunken stupor. An Irish friend of mine was adamant that the best cure for a hang over was a couple of big Macs.
re: #330 by African Moondog
I agree with that, little things become much more important like playing with my grand children.
re: #332 by African Moondog
I’ve heard 2 aspirins and 16 ounces of water taken before bed lessens a hangover.
Well, maybe I need to go back to bed, but that won’t work because I got up at 4 and am not sleepy.
EST TIME
Come on people, you want our blog to be successful get you’re asses up.
If you’re sleeping I’m almost smart enough to know you can’t read this.
re: #313 by nobody
When were you in country & what area?
I’ll keep it going until ??????????
re: #337 by RIX
1968, hill 55 and various other places.

“That must be CC. They are very afraid of the elephant (oops) ASS in the room.”
CC has good people on it but as I said yesterday I get the impression that in their heart f hearts they still hope that selrahC will change and they will be welcomed back.
Damn, I did post 333. I did not want post #333.
re: #16 by danrudy
“I really think it would be fun to have our own Idiotarian of the year awards.”
Instead of the Fiskie it would be the Chuckie!
re: #340 by Speranza
Exactly my thought.
re: #339 by nobody
Shout out brother. I was there in 66 & 67 , in I Corps just below the DMZ.
re: #342 by Speranza
God as my judge, you beat me to it. Charles should win the first year. How cool to win an award named after you!
He should then get a lifetime achievmkent award & be ineligable after, unless he does somthing truly notable.
re: #344 by RIX
1st Marines, 26th Marine Regiment, 3rd Battalion, Kilo Company, 4th Platoon
re: #346 by nobody
Semper Fi! Third Battalion, Third Marines.
I saw DaNang coming & going & the city of Hue once. Other than that it was the Stone Age.
re: #345 by RIX
Exactly. He would be our Jimmy Carter.
re: #345 by RIX
Actually we can call the award “The Olby”a fter Keith Olbermann, Chuck wuld be the first winner and would get a lifetime award makinghim ineligible for any future awards.
re: #278 by Bunk X
Jeezus H. Christ shouldn’t she be out on a ledge some where?
re: #348 by Speranza
re: #349 by Speranza
A lifetime Achievmant award for CJ for sure.
However, I still like the idea of calling the award the Chuckie.
Runners up should not be left out.
2nd palce could win the Weasel & Third place wins the Kilgore.
What do you think?

re: #351 by RIX
The Sharmie should be for the most sycpphantic poster on LGF.
re: #354 by Speranza
That does sound like approprioate criteria for a Sharmie. It can be a seperate category, The inscription on the trophy should read “I so totally agree with that.”

Sick funny in the way only the truth can be sick funny.
/I ended up at 1.0 recently and was amazed at the up-dings CJ’s inane comments had. Truly stupendous in a stupid way.
re: #352 by Speranza
That is the most brilliant thing I have seen in a long time……LOLOLOLOLOL
re: #358 by Phidippus
A former LGFer (only recently banned) did it. It is making its way through the blogosphere.
re: #351 by RIX
I’d nominate Racer X, Chekote and Salamantis (and perhaps, pee pee head).

SHug, also an MD…I missed the show…what was the gist? ”
He had a panel of physicians discussing healthcare reform. It was awesome.
The best part was he also had a bunch of starry-eyed med studeits who have been braiwashed with the hope and change bullshit.
I’m sure you see the modern day med student as I do. Wimps and moonbats, most of them.
when they enacted the 80 hr rule, they drove all the studs out of the profession. Ha
I’ve become a firm believer that Charles and his small group of sick-o-phants could not collectively blow their noses if their brains were made of dynamite. What a pathetic, irrelevant blog LGF 1.0 has become, almost sad in a way.
re: #10 by Whippet
This is one of the main reasons why I walked away.
Nobody is going to tell me who I can and can’t talk to on the net. Especially some paranoid egomaniac.
Just thought I’d chime in at the end of this dying thread.
I only occasionally check in on that trainwreck anymore – but it’s worth looking at today. Not for the sick-ass headlines, but the sudden lack of advertisers. He’s resorting to google ads, and there’s just one horizontal banner and a vertical amazon.
Good times, good times.

Is Obama Poised to Cede US Sovereignty?

Crazy Pam, Stormfront and the Paulians are all on it too. According to the Paulians this guy is going to be on Glenn Beck’s show on Monday.
Christopher Monckton is a fraud. He is NOT a “climate change expert.” He was recently caught fabricating graphs with false and cherry-picked data to attempt to prove that IPCC predictions of CO2 increase were wrong. And that’s far from the first time he’s done something like this. The guy is not even a scientist, he’s a politician and a former adviser to Margaret Thatcher.
Complete, utter fraud.
I have never heard of Christopher Monckton, but Chuckles mentions his being a former adviser to Margaret Thatcher and a politician, as this somehow discredits the man.
But a washed up jazz musician thinks he should hold our respect.

Denial is not a river in Egypt, it is the key operating philosphy of one Chuckie Johnson…..
I can’t decide what to do with my socks over there. It’s not a fun place even to make fun of anymore.

I think it is only a matter of time until Schmuckles starts defending Hitler. Fucking despicable KAPO!
If anyone still has socks at The Hellhole, ask Schmuckles when he is going to apologize to the Corries for making fun of their (very flat) daughter.
