Guns are important, even if you don’t want to own one, just the possibility that you MAY have one can reduce your chances of becoming a victim of a crime.

You don’t like guns? Fine, don’t get one. Just oppose gun control measures anyway, the life you save may be your own.

As for ammo, I shoot 9mm. I haven’t seen a box of 9mm ammo at walmart in months. I haven’t seen more than 3 boxes of 9mm ammo at walmart since the election.

I was at walmart a day or two ago, their ammo case had 2 or 3 boxes of 525 golden bullet .22lr, 2 boxes of .40 and .45 ammo. That was it. The rest of the space was being used as overflow storage.

They have oodles of shotgun shells, but no handgun or rifle ammo.

No, not a DS, I was attached to the MP corps and was tasked with the “protection” of the Pistol Palace.
And to keep up with the “boots” when they did gaurd on the various places around post. We worked with the GOA police. I was a MPI and CID but I really liked harassing the Boots late at night, caught quite a few sleeping and had a good time showing them the reason sleeping is bad (on duty).

I went thru Boot & AIT fall of 87′ there with Bravo 40. You weren’t a DS there by chance?

I just had my folks over this week and the conversations are similiar. We’re from rural Ohio with a half the family still into farming, so we have the self-efficiency part down pat. Alot of talk on the street these days, but none on the news. Its going to get interesting.
