Good morning Blogmocracy Netizens! I hope everyone slept well and are ready for another day. Last night’s game was great and Brett Farve looked like his old self.
I came across an interesting article by Jonah Goldberg, author of Liberal Fascism where he defends Glenn beck from attacks on the Right.
Glenn Beck has come under furious assault from the Progressive Propaganda Machine. He has become target number one for the Left. His crime, you might ask? He has exposed the Totalitarian Progressive agenda that is attempting to transform America into a Progressive Dictatorship. He has brought down Black Nationalist Van Jones and is taking apart the Cryto-Fascist organization ACORN. You would think this would make Beck a hero to the right. Nope. The elites of the Conservative movement are attacking Glenn. They are not use to fighting the Left and would rather lose with dignity. Jonah Goldberg takes them to tasks and explains the important work Beck is doing.
For a self-described rodeo clown who frequently admits he isn’t that bright, Glenn Beck must be doing something right. A de facto leader of the populist backlash against President Obama, he made the cover of Time magazine, with his tongue sticking out no less. His books are immediate best-sellers. His radio and TV shows have stratospheric ratings. His one-man comedy performances draw packed audiences, and the proceeds from his numerous ventures have him making north of $20 million a year.
But perhaps his most impressive feat is his ability to unite a broad coalition of liberals, media scolds and conservatives under the single banner of Beck-hatred.
Now, before I proceed, I should disclose the fact that I like Beck personally and that his support for my book Liberal Fascism was a huge boon, helping to push it to No. 1 on The New York Times best-seller list. As a Fox News contributor, I have appeared regularly on his show. Whether that gives me more, or less, credibility when I say I cannot defend some of the things he says is for others to decide.
Still, much of the anti-Beck backlash (He’s an extremist! He’s paranoid! He’s hate-filled!) from the left is hard to take seriously. First, this is a crowd that lets Michael Moore and Janeane Garofalo speak for them, and that celebrated the election of unfunny man Al Franken to the Senate. If you think it’s racist to oppose Obama’s health care reform efforts, it goes without saying that you’ll think Beck is an extremist. This is what liberals always say about popular right-wingers, including Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley. For over 20 years liberals, including Presidents Clinton and Obama, have insisted that Rush Limbaugh is everything from an unpatriotic hatemonger to an enabler of domestic terrorism. It makes sense that they’d give Beck the same business.
Glenn Beck is using that tactics of Saul Alinsky on the Progressives. They are not used to having their own tactics used against them. Much of the Conservative leadership is Dhimmified and are not used to fighting the Left on their own terms.
I personally love fighting the Progressives using the tactics of Alinsky back on them. It is time for the Elite Conservatives to stop pandering to the Progressives and start fighting back! If they don’t want to fight, well they should get out the way and let Beck take the Left on! Beck is effective, that is why the Totalitarian Progressives want to silence him.

I’ve never actually seen Glenn Beck’s show (don’t have TV, yes you read that right), but even *I* know that Glenn Beck rocks!

tq, would be kinda nice not to have a tv
It’s time for the “elite” conservatives to be defeated at the ballot box. They are as much of a problem as progressives are. Just look at the way they treated Palin last November. Shameful and disgraceful.
Beck may not be to the exquisite taste of some but he is one of the few who has consistently investigated and exposed the corruptocracy running the show. Kudos to him.
The rinos, Rs lite and reach across the aislers have brought nothing to the table. Nadda. As evidence I present John McCain.

AMEN!!
What Beck does so brilliantly is lay out in linear fashion the connection between the Obama white house and all the Marxist, Statist organizations that are aligned with Obama. Most people have difficulty thinking in the abstract, but Beck puts it all down in easy to read charts that anyone can understand.
Indeed, that whole “elite” business makes me quite sick. This is America. The only true “elite” is one of merit, productivity and achievement. Everything else is just BS. Note: being an “elite” politician is neither meritorious nor is an achievement to be proud of. And it sure as hell is not productive. The BS that spews from the maws of current self-proclaimed “elites” is not even good enough to fertilize grass.
re: #7 by vagabond trader
Exactly, the elite Conservatives suffer from Stockholm Syndrone. They love getting beat, Bush comes to mind. They need to be gone so we can destroy the Progressives.
beck was really a mad man in his early days, very late eighties and early ninetys, he was almost like savage in those days it seemed.

It is, actually. I got rid of the TV years ago, and haven’t missed it. I get my news off the internet.

Hello, how have you been! Busy at School?
Anyway, yeah who declared these people Elite? I mean they really think they are Feudal Lords and we are the serfs. It’s just funny how someone like Beck takes on the Progressives and the Republican “Elites” get upset.
Who made these people “Elite”
You should do a guest post Natasha about this!

Also, you can add W to that list. He may have loved his country but sure had a funny way of showing it.

I’m not much of a TV person, but my wife cannot live without it. Since she is house bound much of the time, I can’t blame her.
re: #22 by vagabond trader
He symbolizes to me what Conservative Elites are. He just sat there and smiled while the Progressives took him apart. Beck and Michale Savage fights back very hard.
I followed Beck on the radio when he was part of the KNEW lineup here in S.F. He’s no longer live on radio and not available on XM, but I do record his show every night. And yes, every once in a while I find him over the top. I also find Mark Levin over the top every once in awhile with the screaming.
But then I realize, if I were trying to articulate my anger at this administration, wouldn’t I be over the top as well? I’ll concede that Beck probably should not have called the Won a racist on national television, but frankly, Zero’s own words, if spoken in the equivalent by a White person towards Blacks, would certainly have given rise to a charge of racism – why isn’t the reverse true?
So Beck now lives in the left’s cross-hairs, and the lefty blogs try to destroy him. They have applauded the attempted boycott of advertisers on his shows. Okay, well, two can play at that game. Who’s advertising on the lefty blogs? I might give them a call…..
There is something seriously wrong with the GOP these days – and by that I mean the GOP congresscritters.
Right now they are also firing upon Michael Steele and telling him to STFU, even though it’s only been lately that Michael Steele has shown he has gonads.
re: #6 by quesnay
As far as I’m concerned, next years election should be a slate-wiper. Send them all home, and start over with a totally new House (we can’t do that in the Senate, unfortunately). That won’t happen. The power of incumbancy is too great. And it isn’t in the interests of either party to oust their entreanched partisans. Hopefully, though, we’ll send enough Democrats to the house that the Republicans will hold the House once more.
Our representative republic is in trouble. Neither party really represents the People anymore. Neither party is overly concerned with enforcing the Constitutional limits on government.

Thank you for the post, Rodan! It looks like a lot of people have been annoyed by the suicidal gentility of “house conservatives”. Beck (along with Limbaugh, Malkin, Goldberg) are at least being effective and providing a rallying point for conservatives.
Unfortunately, most of our “conservative” politicians are a bunch of cowardly custards or guys who think they were elected to “cut deals” with the Democrats, Joe Wilson notwithstanding.

I think too many people are put off by Glenn Beck because of his style. That is, his manner of presentation is sometimes frenetic and highly intense; the first time I saw him I half expected him to come bursting through my TV screen amidst shards of glass. (I have gotten hardened to it by now, however.)
There is, however, no question as to his substance. He is factual, he zeroes in on the important points of whatever outrage the Obama Kremlin is trying to foist on us; he is not distracted by peripheral matters or calumny from the Left, as too many conservative commentators are.

Be careful with it, ya only git so many of those.
Glenn Beck steps into the Octagon with anybody the left throws in with him. He is a true warrior, and personally, I don’t care how he fights just as long as he fights. The time for turning the other cheek and letting the hippie leftists run wild is over.
Glenn Beck is amazingly successful at hurting the progressives. And he does it with truth, which is the exact opposite of how the Left fights (think of pigs like Michael Moore and Al Franken, etc.).
Keep plugging away Glenn. The hatred thrown at you by leftists like selrahC, Olbermann, and other metrosexual progressives is proof of your effectiveness.

Should Congressman Castle run for Senate?
http://jumpinginpools.blogspot.com/2009/10/should-congressman-castle-run-for.html
My feelings aobut Glenn beck are the same as my feelings about Bill O’Reilly – the huge egos annoy me and (in the case of Bill O’Reilly) the constant interrupting of guests and the pimping of his books irritates the shit out of me – yet they piss off the right people (Charles Johnson and Keith Olbermann) so they serve a good purpose. Agreed?
re: #58 by Foghorn Leghorn
and besides that glenn was the reason for my banning after ragging chuckie about him. GO GLENNN
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again:
Glenn Beck is the Senator Joe McCarthy of our age.
All he is doing is pointing out the socialsts/communists/marxists in our federal government.
Just like McCarthy, he is right.
Just like McCarthy, he is demonized to the point that even conservatives have to say they don’t like him before the can talk about him.
On another note, the witch from ACORN is on fox news playing victim over being caught in voter registration fraud. She says people are just out to get them because they were successful. Yeah… you successfully committed voter registration fraud, successfully covered up illegal contributions, successfully helped pimps defraud the IRS and state government laws to set up brothels for illegal immigrant child prostitutes.
and she plays victim. Disgusting.
Where the hell has my country gone?
Happy Birthday apachegunner.

I heard Beck on the radio when he guest hosted for Pat Gray here in HOU.
Anyman that can annoy the New Messiah and the pony tailed dancing clowns that dream of biting the pillow for him, well, can’t be all bad.
Beck is fearless. He fights and wins. Of all the Rightside pundits he is the only one with any scalps on his belt. He may not be everyone’s dream of a Conservative but he is willing to fight–that gets him a lot of slack with me.
Something simple as you set ou for a busy day.
Subject: 10 rules for living
The ten rules for living by Kent Keith
1. People are illogical, unreasonable, and self centered. Love them anyway.
2. If you do good, people will acuse you of selfish ulterior motives. Do good anyway.
3. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.
4. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
5. Honesty and Frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
6. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds. Think big anyway.
7. People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
8. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.
9. People really need help, but may attack you if you do help them. Help people anyway.
10. Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.
Keith was a Rhodes Scolar at Harvard when he wrote these maxims. They have been quoted by legislators, politicians and pundits the world over, attributed to Mother Theresa, Ann Landers and many other great speakers. Consider these simple truths, please aply them in your life, pass them on through word and action, and remember that the evil of the world that seeks to put people down can only be countered by the ultimate good of a loving and caring GOD.

That’s why I stopped listening to Medved. I listened to him when Clinton was President and he hated CLinton’s amnesty plan….. but praised BUsh’s amnesty plan, which was nearly identical.
I applaud Beck’s efforts to call out hypocracy. I applaud his courage in exposing the corruption of anybody who is corrupt. That being said, for G-d’s sake, get him back on his meds. Watching his psychotic breaks from reality dilutes an otherwise important message. You guys know what I am talking about. His taking single letters from completely unconnected words and spelling another word which he views as a secret message indicating the end times. Holy Cow! You couldn’t make some of that stuff up if you had a year’s supply of LSD. These types of episodes on air make Beck an easy target. Otherwise, I like what he is doing.

Yep. I checked on the story. Beck said “Vancouver” when he meant Montreal.
Although I’m pretty damn sure Vancouver’s gonna take a $$$ bath next year as well. The White House claimed Beck was LYING.
No, he misspoke. You know, like 10,000 people killed in Katrina, an uncle who liberated Auschwitz, sittin’ on daddy’s lap watchin’ Carl Lewis, 57 states, I never heard Reverand Wright say that crap as I sat in the pews, Bill Ayers was just a neighbor….
re: #87 by Foghorn Leghorn
I got in more than 1 argument on 1.0 about McCarthy…. so successfully demonized by the left that we must ignore anything he said because he liked the sauce.
That’s what the left did to protect their communist friends, and it is what the left does today.
Glenn Beck doesn’t drink or do drugs, so instead he’s attacked for being ‘mentally unstable’ for his passion about this country….. and so we have to say that we don’t like him and he needs to ‘tone it down’ or ’stop his crying’ or mention that he’s mentally unstable….. and that’s before we’re allowed to agree with him.
It was a sin for Conservatives to have allowed that to happen to McCarthy, just as much so to allow it to happen to Beck.

Frankly, it’s pretty damn weird that there are by my count at least 3 posts here blaming me in some way for ‘piling on’ poor, poor tfk– because I answered someone’s question about him — and yet no comments by those people condemning what he did and is doing.
tfk should have been banned a long time ago, and the only reason he wasn’t was because: 1) he seemed to be popular with other users (why, I don’t know), and 2) several times when I was on the edge of banning him, people stepped in and made personal appeals to me to let him stay.
I had to delete at least a dozen of his comments for using outright racist slurs. He would post non sequiturs in the middle of discussions that came off as deranged. And now he’s posting at a stalker blog where they often talk about doing harm to me — and he’s sneaking back into LGF with sock puppet accounts deliberately to cause trouble, and then brag about his exploits at the stalker blog.
It’s utterly beyond me how anyone could come in here and tell me how much they “miss” tfk. He’s where he belongs, with a blog full of twisted, hateful people. If that’s the kind of “friend” you miss, maybe you should join them.
Bah.

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a TelePrompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVD’s, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word “advice” would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as proof of what a dunce he is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?
If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W.Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America, would you have approved.
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in 5 months — so you’ll have three years and seven months to come up with an answer.
re: #114 by Speranza
When you quote posts with quotes, it’d be helpful to divide them in some way, maybe a line ——— or so, and also from your commentary.
re: #96 by snork
Wow, I’d never read that thread before, since it was “sekrit”.
There sure are some nasty cunts posting that thread-
Frigid Weasel, Jimmah, Arabic Slut -
Irish Bitch – (A nasty, oversized cunt who lied about Zombie deleting her post and instigated the whole pile-on against Zombie in the “sekrit” thread)
There is basically nothing left but leftist, lying fascist trolls at 1.0 now.
Their hobbies include getting good people banned, stalking and trolling other blogs, making racist Wookie and “N” word comments and lying about having their posts deleted at other blogs.
It was only a matter of time before Zombie got the boot from 1.0, many people saw that coming months ago. The banning of Zombie really marks the end of LGF. The majority of posters left there now are pure trash, disgusting pieces of dishonest garbage with pea-sized brains.
Those leftist, fascist cunts think that they can police and moderate the entire internet and tell people what they can or can not post, or tell people how to run their own sites? Go eat a dick, you nasty bitches.

Let it out. Let it Allll out!
re: #131 by snork
Reading through that “sekrit” thread made me slightly angry. Zombie was a better poster than every single person combined who is still left at 1.0, a place which has now become infested by nasty, dishonest people.
Now this is interesting (from the sooper seekrit thred):
So Cato realizes that the ship is sinking, and is calling Irish Hose out for making monkies of all of them.
Heh.

Happy Bird-Day to U!
When Beck goes into ‘teaching’ mode, using the blackboard, videos, pictures, etc., to connect the dots, he’s really good. His audience forum shows are also above the norm. His incredibly high ratings AT 5:00 PM EST, tell the tale. Heck, even his show’s reruns are on at 2:00 a.m. The guy has no real watchable time slot, yet watch his audience does.
Over the top sometimes? Yeah, sure. But I trust him as a reporter over those other ‘real’ journalists like Keith Overbite or Rachel Madcow or Chrissy ‘Thrill Up My Leg’ Matthews. Hard to believe Beck was on CNN Headline News at one point. Even harder to believe that Michael Savage and Alan Keyes had shows on MSNBC at one point, or that Dennis Miller once had one on CNBC.
Good Morning!
In the meantime, while the moonbats need to bash Beck for some bizarre reason or another, the President of The United States, tricked those doctors into coming to the WH Rose Garden the other day. Handed out white coats for them to wear for the photo op; claimed falsely to the public in his speech that they were ALL their in support of his health care reform; and didn’t allow them to speak or ask questions.
Wake up America!!!!!!!
re: #111 by snork
I believe I saw him referring to someone who posted here hoping he’d fall of his bike or something, spokes up his butt or whatever-as posting “threats”. Seriously. re: #141 by snork
LMAO! he copied and pasted the comment directly on LGF, that’s where I read it and thought; what a weenie! Last week or something…around the time I registered here.
As for Glenn Beck, I think that he’s doing a great job. I don’t care how much he cries on tv. His method is effective and the liberals are truly scared of him, he’s been getting real results.
Whenever somebody who claims to be a conservative says that the right needs to be more to the center, you know that they are full of shit. Look at what that strategy did for John McCain, who was a pretty nice guy and an honorable loser. That’s exactly what the lliberals want.
It is pretty pathetic and telling that 1.0 has been posting threads about the Glenn Beck boycott using the racist “Color of Change” group as their source.
re: #135 by snork
Makes me smile. A lot.

Even more telling, it shows that removing the conservatives from Charlie’s blog was a planned operation. He could have saved us all time by simply saying, “I want this to be a left leaning site now.” Why waste everyone’s time Charlie?

Pamela Gellar, I believe she’s Jewish? But she’s also some secret Nazi or something according to 1.0?
Has Charles ever been to Europe? Does he know anything firsthand about the Islamic immigration and Islamic extremism issues over there?
I’ve travelled to Europe countless times and I base my opinions on firsthand experiences over what I have seen and witnessed.
Riding a bike in California is far different than actually living in Europe for extended periods of time.
Listen to THIS shiite:

Charles is certainly paranoid as a man with two noids. Everywhere he looks he sees Nazis and white supremacists. But he thinks Kilgore is A-OK. Doublethink at its finest.

re: #156 by Mad Mullah
Yes, Pamela Geller is quite Jewish. And New York, to boot.
This is funny:
Ahem…
Zombie has class and confidence whomever they are. That latest blog post with the football t-shirt photo speaks volumes where her/his head is on all this nonsense.
Charles Johnson, you have none!
re: #155 by snork
Counselor Icepimple, Zombie’s statement would be admitted as evidence in any court in the U.S. Want to know why? Zombie was present at these shindigs covering them for Charlie at the time. Question for Charlie, is this really where you want your site to go? Why not double down on stupidity and dig a little deeper? I’m sure there are some crackheads in California who might be able to contribute.
50% of anti-semitic attacks in europe are done by the religion of peacers (10% of europe).

re: #157 by snork
What has escaped Charlie is the small fact that Zombie’s contribution is what created his site’s success. Nobody was hitting the site for Charlie’s inciteful comments, but rather the stuff that was being posted. It was the links to Zombie, Mark Steyn, Flopping Aces, etc. The problem is that none of this content is there anymore. What’s worse, those members who were responsible for adding that value, (free of charge to Charlie,) were bannished for adding that value. Now, all that is left is Charlie’s paranoid narscissistic ramblings, and the Pshchophantic chorus. Godd luck with your attempts to double down on stupid Charlie.
re: #168 by Iron Fist
The Republicans are wimps, they rather stay and get beat up. This is not OT as it relates to the article I posted.

re: #135 by snork
Maybe this embarassing slapdown is why IR is claiming she is “ill” and needing to step away.
My $.02? I agree that she probably feels for the first time in her life, given that it sounds like it has been a fairly unhappy one, she is a key player in a clique and a “family”, and feels she must protect her “family” by any means necessary, even if it means trolling all over the world for negative things said abour her “family”, and trying to confront said offenders. That may explain why she freaks out at the drop of a hat at anybody who criticizes, or allows criticism to stay undeleted, of her “hero”.
re: #157 by snork
Notice the overblown ego, the sack of shit thinks he made Zombie.
Snort!.
If anything the reverse is true, Zombie was one of the key players that made LGF. It’s official now, LGF is just a turd circling the toilet bowl, waiting for the final flush.

yup.maybe that is one of the multiple reasons she hates Geller so much: Geller is attractive, smart, happy, and accomplished. IR? Not so much.
re: #178 by Kirly
I don’t think so. Zombie made it very clear that there is only one person in the world with knowledge of his/her identity. “Zombie’s friend”. Zombie’s friend handled all of the transactions. Chuckles could out Zombie’s friend, and that could possibly seriously crimp the operation, but it won’t out Zombie.
If worse comes to worse, and Zombie needs bodyguards, he/she knows where to get them.

God speed then. Charlie is an ingrate. I usually don’t wish bad on people, and I won’t now either. But Zombie made Charlie, not the other way round. His site had under 200 comments on the overnite open last night. I would be willing to be that most of them came from the same 5 or six people. His good content is gone, his good comment posters are gone, and he did it to himself. My vision of Charlie are going to be of some guy in a single room of a flop house with a tequila bottle.

H is, Charles got divorced in 2004 and his Ex Wife took all his money. It was around that time that him and Pam were close. Charles was lonely and wanted some. Pamela didn’t like Charles that way. After a few years of not getting any, he turned on her. His hatred of Robert Spencer is based on that he thinks Rob and Pam are an item.

Scuttlebutt’s fun, and your theory does fit, but I’m afraid that that’s about as far as it’ll ever go. If Pam were going to say anything, she’d have done so already. She appears to have moved on for the most part, although she still does an occasional mock-youtube.

re: #202 by Rodan
I doubt it.
The thing is that Charles is in California and Pam is in New York. A long distance sexual relationship would be hard to maintain. Also if that were true, then Pam would’ve spilled the beans on him after he called her a fascist.

Do you know if SuSE has any good media tools. That’s one thing that’s hard to beat on Mac. I’d be looking for the equivalent of something like Apple’s Final Cut Express or Pro.

re: #207 by Iron Fist
Remind me, why do people think that Obama is bright?
It’s Affirmative Action. Didn’t work in Copenhagen though. Only works here.
Greg Craig, the top in-house lawyer for President Barack Obama, is getting the blame for botching the strategy to shut down Guantanamo Bay prison by January — so much so that he’s expected to leave the White House in short order.
But sources familiar with the process believe Craig is being set-up as the fall guy and say the blame for missing the deadline extends well beyond him.
Instead, it was a widespread breakdown on the political, legislative, policy and planning fronts that contributed to what is shaping up as one of Obama’s most high-profile setbacks, these people say.
The White House misread the congressional mood – as it found out abruptly in May, when the Senate voted 90-6 against funds for closing the base after Republicans stoked fears about bringing prisoners to the U.S. The House also went on record last week opposing bringing Gitmo detainees here.

Ok. I give. Where’s 1.0 in there?
re: #14 by tqcincinnatus
I lived without a TV for many years and didn’t miss it one bit. I have one now but rarely watch it. Usually only while cooking and then it’s tuned to the Food Network.
re: #235 by snork
Regarding the sooper sekrit Zombie killing thread: Wow. It’s fascinating to watch the turmoil build, starting with Irish Rose complaining about the comments on Zombie’s blog.
At least Cato got it right and called out Irish Rose on her lies (#400), but it was too late for Zombie.
re: #277 by snork
it’s not! 106!
Oh. I see. Never mind.

There is just one wee problem with the way this went down.
First we get this:
re: #176 Irish Rose
I went over to Zombies’ blog this morning to leave a comment about all of the posts there bashing Charles and LGF. I told her I was disappointed in her and I reminded her that Charles has been a good friend to her.
She removed my post, and left the hate posts up.
Seriously Zombie, if you’re reading this… wtf?
Then this:
re: #179 Sharmuta
your comment wasn’t removed.
I checked too, Sharmuta. It wasn’t, and it isn’t.
Over at Zombie’s blog, someone had this to say:
Irish Rose is toast.
She just lied through her teeth in order to get zombie banned at LGF.
Here’s what she wrote at comment #176 of today’s “private thread” on LGF:
176 Irish Rose Sun, Oct 4, 2009 4:59:05pm [etc.]
The problem, Ms. Rose, is that your LGF comment can easily proven to be a lie. All one needs to go is come to this thread and look at comment #125 above.
Your comment is still there!!!
How, m’lady, are you going to explain that? And how can you explain away your blantant backstabbing lie to Charles at LGF?
This is beyond the pale. In the old days of LGF, what you just did was itself a banworthy offense. Instead of zombie being banned from LGF, it is you who should be banned.
Your credibility rating just dropped to zero. Permanently.
Indeed.
What need of the lie, Rose? The comments there were certainly bad enough, why come and tell us you were deleted when you weren’t? You know these private threads aren’t private.
Unless Zombie deleted you, then reposted your comment, just to make you look bad. Trouble is, that can’t be, because your post is time-stamped at 8:00 A.M., and people were responding to it continually throughout the day.
Whatever. Personally, I find your persona as LGF’s resident watchdog has worn out. You just handed “them” a victory. “They” can crow about your tactics now. And they will. I don’t waste my time with Rodan and friends, but I guarantee you they’re flapping their gums about it this very second.
I told you before that your self-appointed role as keeper of the flame and challenger of the flaming insane was doing more harm than good.
The break between LGF and Zombietime was coming, but you had to lie to speed it up?
As if there weren’t enough shit bubbling to the surface all over the place without you stirring it for us.

Here’s George Will, taking a break from distorting and misrepresenting climate science to promote the latest right wing talking point: Barack and Michelle Obama are malignant narcissists.
I’m a bit disappointed in the article. Goldberg only cites one right critic of Beck.
“So Zombie got the boot for not censoring comments on HIS/HER blog. And he’s criticizing Vlaams Belang for being Fascist?”
Amen. I love Zombie. Him or she, I love it. No time to chat today, 2.0, I’m deep into a drinking bout. But these past few month shave been just fascinating. I’ve been at 1.0 since September ‘01. This is all pretty painful.
Talk to you tomorrow.

re: #295 by Moe Katz
It was right after he was banned. He had a whole post about it and it was funny as anything I’ve ever read.
Quantcast just posted their web traffic data for yesterday. Ronald McJohnson claimed last night he was over 100,000 served yesterday and counting? How about 43,200 U.S.A. and 50,900 globally? You can’t scam Quantcast like you do with Alexa and you can’t fool all of the lizards all of the time, Abe.
re: #135 by snork
This smackdown on Irish Rose has been a long time coming.
re: #290 by Rodan
Charles Krauthammer is the only conservative writer that is worth reading in the Washington Post. George Will is too much of a preppy elitist writing dumb books about baseball. When he was a little kid, George F. Will was always put in Rightfield and batted 9th!

“It was Gagdad Bob.”
How did you know he used that tuning?

re: #298 by song_and_dance_man
I thought it was too obscure and literary to be an effective allusion, that the Caine Mutiny wouldn’t be that well known. I guess the fame of the movie, if not the novel, was wider than I suspected—or people in the conservative blogosphere are really that sophisticated.
Lubos Motl is usually too esoteric to link, but this is really good.
I liked Cato when I was there. He was frequently obnoxious, but I liked that in him; he also had some martyr issues, which I liked less. I’ve never questioned his integrity though, and still wouldn’t.

Watching Cato the Elder and Irish Rose fight is like watching Saddam’s Iraq and Khomeini’s Iran duke it out from 1980 -88.
re: #325 by snork
Actually, the paul bats did start that one. During the primaries in 2008, they would spam vote every single silly internet opinion poll to try to create the illusion of Ron Paul having over 50% support of the GOP faithful. The whole thing started out funny enough. It turned nasty after a while, but Ron Paul really is someone I am squeamish about being on the same side of an issue as. He is the GOP version on Lyndon Larouche.
re: #331 by phoenixgirl
Only one troll on the latest zombie blog thread.
well it’s another Beck Bashing thread again over in hippie land? Imaginative ain’t he?
re: #325 by snork
Ron Paul is an utter jerk. selrahC was right about that. However Ron Paul has zero influence in the Republican Party.
13 UPdings for this on the LGF ONDT.
Ojoe was downdinged for just saying he missed TFK lol. I didn’t check to see who the downdinger was.
In reply.
1. The blog full of twisted hateful people is 1.0. The sane reasonable people have left. visit any of the blogs those people went to.
2. TFK was banned for posting at C2. Which many others were. Link Nazism.
3. TFK was popular with other posters because he has some real life wisdom that Ivory Tower types seem to find repulsive. Iceweasel would have done well to listen to TFK better.
4. Sockpuppets? Who doesn’t have them? And who doesn’t know that sock tracking is a cult lever Charles uses to maintain dominion at the blog.
5. racism never really saw it by TFK. Just some real life observations. And who really thinks Charles even knows what racism is? I doubt if he can define it adequately. To me he himself does seem to express that type of guilt racism I see in left leaners so much.
6. Non sequiturs? A banning offense? LOL!!!! I never had any problem understanding TFK. People that couldn’t were ones that couldn’t read.
It’s pretty easy to see Iceweasel is very smart but doesn’t know crap. TFK is smart and knows stuff. That is the difference there.
Ojoe — This is the Charles message telling you to talk a hike. Albusteve ditto.
tqCinn, best of luck!
Yeah, I forgot that “Cato the Elder” was a sexist wanker.
If he gets booted from 1.0 and wants in here, he should first submit to getting maced and/or teargassed by the ladies. (Maybe not the pepper spray.)
re: #336 by Nevergiveup
hmm lets see who will be bashed today (on LGF) – Glenn Beck, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul (a douche nozzle for sure), and take your pick – Rick Santorum, R.S. McCain, Rick Perry, Mark Sanford, Bobby Jindal, or Jim DeMint. Wash, rinse, repeat.
re: #338 by orangecrush
I wonder if they have pun threads anymore, or if that is to become a bannable offense.
re: #340 by Zimriel
He is too proud to ever come over here (and the same for MandyManners as well and do not look for Zombie to make an appearance either).
Homemade apple crisp, local apples, umm ummm ummm. If you’re close enough come on over.
re: #333 by Speranza
I know stubborn and obstinate people like Irish Rose. One wonders how one can make an impression into that density. To me this is a person that lives in fear of everything and can never make a good quality choice. Always chooses the bad route almost on purpose.
She is like a Palestinian. Never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Her priorities are all fucked up for what ever reason. Who knows. CatoTKapo gave her good advice awhile back. She told him to stuff it. And Charles gave his approval to that.
re: #343 by Speranza
Right. Because of course Charles just made a mistake with you but everybody else booted from the island deserved it and must be a creep.
re: #343 by Speranza
Yah I don’t think Mandy or Zombie will show up here at the “stalker” blog. Mandy should go somewhere she can post freely like Zombietime.
re: #336 by Nevergiveup
No s–t. This is because Charlie chased away all of the people who gave him his quality material. No more jammingwearingfool, Zombie, ElderofZiyon, FloppingAces, JihadWatch, ACLUWatch, etc… Charlie is litteraly down to the crap which comes from the seat of his pants, or the top of his head. Unfortuantely, there is not a lot of material in those places. It is the kind of stuff which will only impress his psychophants. I’m sure Icepimple could talk about Beck 24/7.
re: #342 by Nikis Knight
All the pun intellect has left hasn’t it? 1.0 is going to go humorless I think.
re: #338 by orangecrush
TFK is a Vietnam Vet, and a blaspheming racial minority. There’s nothing worse in their book than an apostate racial minority.
re: #345 by orangecrush
As much as I despise Cato I must give him a thumbs up for ripping her a new one about her self appointed mission of keeper of the LGF flame. She had this blog shut down for a few hours and bragged on it. In the end her loyalty to selrahC aint worth squat. She will be purged just like Killgore and Sharmie after they no longer are useful to Stalin.

Yeah, I read the book first. It often ruins the movie, doesn’t it? I walked out on the film Jurassic Park because it was so inferior to the book.
re: #355 by Moe Katz
Although the Caine Mutiny wasn’t bad as a film, Bogie being Bogie.
re: #348 by Flyovercountry
Good points all. Even if you are a fervent believer in evolution, hate Glenn Beck, hate Sarah Palin, hate Fox News, hate Ann Coulter, believe in global warming with every fiber in your being, what can you say after the 1,679th thread on the subject.
re: #343 by Speranza
I think Mandy will be here soon enough. As a matter of fact I may email her to join us.
I hope that saying I have her email isn’t a banning offense for CJ.
re: #355 by Moe Katz
The Godfather was actually the rare case of teh film being better then the book. Mario Puzao said (paraphrasing) “If I knew the movie was going to be so popular, i would have written the book better”.
re: #305 by Eliana
I think Irish Rose has single handedly done more damage to LGF that any other non blog owners there, here or anywhere.
If I was smart I would have a sock at 1.0 egging her on in collusion.
re: #347 by orangecrush
Mandy needs a “community”, and I don’t think Zombietime has that. She’ll probably get bounced at the door at C2 and GCP, and may end up here by default. More likely, the chatroom, though.
re: #349 by orangecrush
“There’s nothing worse in their book than an apostate racial minority.”
The favorite operation over at 1.0 is the apostatectomy.
re: #358 by song_and_dance_man
He is so paranoid who knows? I would welcome Mandy even though she said some harsh things about us but if she comes over here she can tell Charles to go “piss up a rope” if she wants too.

re: #361 by snork
I’ll bet if she shows up she takes a different nic for a while. Was she banned by Stalin?
re: #312 by Beltfed
Comparison of recent topics in that list is rather enlightening. Old one is pretty much focused on Republican Party, while we have much more diverse set.
re: #358 by song_and_dance_man
I would like Mandy here. I like her posts. I just don’t know her that well if she wants to be here or not. But she was funny, honest, direct and down to earth. ditto Buzzsawmonkey.
I think we have a rougher crowd here then at C2 or 1.0.
re: #359 by Speranza
The Lord of the Rings was another that came very close to being just as good as the books.
re: #358 by song_and_dance_man
Ask her to try us anonymously, so she doesn’t feel pressured to burn bridges at lgf. Maybe a slow weaning off a drug vs. cold turkey is easier.
re: #359 by Speranza
Funnily enough I haven’t seen the Godfather movie, though I read the book. On that recommendation I will watch it, as exercise bike fodder.
re: #364 by Kirly

“The favorite operation over at 1.0 is the apostatectomy.”
And not just there…
re: #355 by Moe Katz

re: #343 by Speranza
Not so sure about mandy. If she was really banned she might.
re: #367 by orangecrush
I like her too and would be welcome here by many of us.
re: #370 by Moe Katz
Great movie, lives up to the book as Speranza said. My husband and I were laughing this morning about how blasphemous for it to have been released on Easter weekend 1972. We both saw it on that Easter Sunday but not with each other.
re: #365 by Speranza
That’s suspected, but not confirmed. Someone with an active sock needs to do some reconnaissance. She posted blasphemy last night, and the CJ said something about his flounce meter, and that’s the last anyone’s seen of her.
re: #373 by vagabond trader
The only other one I remember reading is This Is My God. He was a fine author, I concur.
“Irish Rose has single handedly done more damage to LGF that any other non blog owners there, here or anywhere”
Yeah, when she came up with the “enemies list”, that was a big blow to LGF’s credibility elsewhere. Even the (okay, us) cultists were telling her to back off.
One of those “red flag” moments was when Charles later showcased one of IR’s fawning LGF blog posts on his site. That was a message to the rest of us that IR’s tactics were approved.
re: #363 by Speranza
A lot of the harsh 1.0 speak is that mob cult mentality at 1.0. People who do it and leave later become angry about the 1.0.
I think Hoosier Hoops is going to fall into this category eventually once something deprograms him.
Unless it’s an obvious problem they carry with them. I give them all a pass.
re: #379 by Zimriel
Irish Rose isn’t in trouble for her lack of ethics, however; her problem is poor judgment and getting publicly caught.

Why is a campaign by a bunch of leftist race baiters being supported? I don’t watch Beck because I find him annoying, but if they are boycotting him solely for accusing Obama of being a racist, when are they going to launch similar campaigns against the numerous people on the left who use similar accusations on a regular basis?
From their website. “Hurricane Katrina made it clear that our lack of a political voice has life-and-death consequences. With no one to speak for them, hundreds of thousands of people—largely Black, poor, and elderly—were left behind to die.”
They’re playing the same race card as Beck.
Something I noticed from Chuckles looking at his anti-tfk rant:
“And now he’s posting at a stalker blog where they often talk about doing harm to me ”
Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot. Over?
There’s always the idle, “I’d kick his ass for that.” but I haven’t seen any credible threats of harm. Paranoid much?
re: #369 by snowcrash
Just looked. I don’t have the email anymore.
re: #379 by Zimriel
I read that IR post. At LGF it was highlighted as third party blogger supports LFG and Charles.
It didn’t rub me the right way. She was already a poster at 1.0. She goes and makes a blog and fawns about it. Seemed not sincere to me, sort of manufactured praise. Anyway, I started to get a bad impression of her at that time also.
re: #371 by Zimriel
“That is a lot of threads here you spammed with that out-of-context rant, Kirly.
Give it up. You are not going to win.”
Typical leftist/statist attempting to shut people up when their own words are quoted back to them. Free speech for thee but not for me, eh?
Typical leftist/statist wishing for a qualification test on others but then whinging when the same thing is turned back on them.
There is nothing to win. Your words condemn you.
Geez we really need an edit feature. Hard to type and talk on the phone the same time.

I feel so lucky that I walked away two years ago before the dingers were installed. I’d feel bad if I’d have gotten sucked into that. But I prolly wouldn’t have, anyway.

Liked what they did with the Arwen Character.
Hated what they did with Galadriel.
Frodo was ruined.
Aragorn was actually improved upon.
Where was Tom Bombadil?
I loved Eowyn, she was improved upon.
I am not sure about the changes made to the Helm’s Deep sequences.
I did not like the changes made to Sauroman’s downfall.
The awakening of Theodin was improved upon.
At least that’s my opinion.
Most of the dream sequences with Elrond and Arwen and Aragorn were added, and not at all nescessary.
again, my opinion.
re: #383 by The Rani
I post here. I’ve never threatened Charles. Only asked him to take good advice.
If I saw a post of anyone threatening him beyond satire and humor and thought they were serious I would mention it to them. I haven’t mentioned something like that to anyone.
That’s the only way i can measure his statement there. False.

I’m pretty sure that’s what I’ve been fighting since August. Each time I try to get back to my normal intensity of exercise I get really wiped out for another week. H1N1. Oink.
Oh noes! I be condemned!
How am I “attempting” to shut you up? I’m not spamming every thread with the same anti-Kirly link. I don’t have that agenda of “outing teh Kirly” and trying to publicly disgrace you.
I’m just advising you that your whale hunt isn’t working.
The weird thing is that I don’t even dislike you. “Disappointment” would be the emotion I showed toward you (personally) in LGF after you started getting all shouty.
re: #390 by Flyovercountry
Yeah I didn’t care much for Frodo and Sam was always crying.
re: #172 by Rodan
A comment I made on the problem:
http://mopu.blogspot.com/2008/04/legacy.html
There was a commotion at the front of the cabin, Al leaned over into the aisle to look.
“It’s Dubya” Said Al, referring to President Bush. “Why the Hell does he have to come back here now?”
“He’s just being a good Christian gentleman.” Said John as he stood up to chat with the President.
“That,” Al replied, “is a big part of our problem.”
In Al Keller’s view the people who led the Republican Party were simply too nice.
Ace’s blogroll has this where LGF used to be:
“Lotta Good Fine Blogs Out There; Why Not Try a New One Instead of Old Ones That Have Gone Off Their Trolley?”
re: #390 by Flyovercountry
If you haven’t read the authorized biography of JRR Tolkien, you might enjoy it. The filmmakers were well aware of it and did, in my opinion, a fairly decent job of not making the beginning of LOTR as much of a children’s story as it actually started out to be in the book. In fact, not that i recall perfectly, but Tolkien said something like everything changed with the appearance of Strider/Aragorn.
Regarding Tom Bombadil, I found the character in the book weird and childish (as in more suited to entertaining children) and, imo, the character did not fit in with the rest of the story.
re: #401 by Speranza
In Annie Hall, neurotic but appealing … to me.

then charles called me a racist and banned me
the real deal was that tfk had been calling out the CO2 frauds Ludwigvanquackquack and messing with assweasle….
so after the back stab and eye poke
tfk poked back,
to bad so sad Charles
re: #390 by Flyovercountry
To add to your list: The scouring of the Shire was missing, which wrapped up the Saruman saga in the book. The movie pretty much ended after the crowning of Aragorn and the return of the hobbits to the Shire, then the sailing off of the ringbearers.
re: #398 by Kali
I’m reading them again. There was a mini series based on the books too,not the best casting, still excellent. The scenes in the death camps were the most difficult and harrowing I have ever watched on film.
re: #379 by Zimriel
‘One of those “red flag” moments was when Charles later showcased one of IR’s fawning LGF blog posts on his site. That was a message to the rest of us that IR’s tactics were approved.”
Yes she and Defenseman started stupid blogs whose sole purpose was to defend “Mr. Johnson’s homor” as if he could not do it himself.
re: #391 by orangecrush
This threat of violence crap is how Charlie is able to maintain his us against reality feeling over there. The psychology works like this: If you are distracted from reality, and always worried about protecting the master, you won’t notice the master is off his meds and about to stab you in the back. It worked for a while too. the problem is, you can only pull it off for so long. Pretty soon, it will be Charlie and his group of 5 or 6 trusted toadies. The problem Charlie is now facing is that his toadies are no where the contributing machines former members of the blog were. He can claim whatever traffic he wants, but his comments section will be the truth of the tale. How many different folks are leaving comments? what is the quality in what they say? What is the average tenure of the commenters? (this last point will speak to blog loyalty.) How many total comments on a consistent basis?
The sad fact is, he destroyed a money making machine, and replaced it with a paronioa chorus.

Good to see you here. Sorry to see the grief that you were caused after contributing so much to that site and by extension to CJ himself over the years.
It’s great to be place is full of regular folks who refuse to tolerate repressive regimes like the one we were all exiled from.
As for my feelings about conservatives, whatever. I’m not a conservative myself. But you all knew that.
Maybe I’ll go back to the link Kirly’s reposted (for the, what, eighth time?) and add further thoughts. What I should do ultimately is kickstart my old blog again – so you can just go there, rather than listen to me patiently re-explain stuff which will just get distorted again.

I only notice you by the comments you write here. I don’t weigh too much stuff elsewhere
re: #410 by taxfreekiller
Did you know that LudwigvonQueeg is a legal scholar? He’s so brilliant. Says that murder has to be premeditated. Genius. Real smart guy. Knows all that smart stuff. Must look like one of those brainyoids on Star Trek with the big wiggly heads.
re: #414 by Flyovercountry
The threat CJ is referring to was a post by savage(I think it was him that wrote it, but am not certain) or another here, where it was speculated that he might have an accident on his bike by someone throwing a stick in the spokes.
re: #417 by Speranza
How about Gillian Welch’s sexy overbite?
re: #414 by Flyovercountry
The thing that strikes me when I peek at LGF is not only the monotonous, excruciatingly boring threads, but the poor quality of the comments that are left. He really has blithering idiots now posting. I mean Sharmuta has over 80,000 posts and most of them are copy paste from wikipedia or in the vein of “Charles you rock!’.

Why the **** are they so frightened (BabbaZee, Realwest et al) to say anything about Charles Johnson? He freaking banned them and tossed them out on their ears and called them horrible things. I think that subconsciously they hope to one day be welcomed back there. Forget it, you can;t go home again (and LGF was never your home).

When I was a young boy I used to get “excited” looking at Mrs. Emma Peel (Diana Rigg) of The Avengers and Laura Petrie (Mary Tyler Moore) of the Dick Van Dyke Show..
re: #432 by Speranza
I think it’s some people’s idea of conservative individualist ideology, at least at CC. It’s Charles’s blog, so you suck it up and go elsewhere, and don’t whinge.
re: #403 by Zimriel
If your words publicly disgrace you, then you might want to consider retracting them.
I daresay that the majority here are at least somewhat conservative. They should know what you think of them.
re: #435 by Speranza
Me too. You know what Diana Rigg, Mary Tyler Moore and Diane Keaton all have in common? A dance background. Their movements in their prime were magnetic and haunting.
re: #412 by vagabond trader
Good idea, I’ll have to pull the books out and reread them too. Didn’t know about the series, I’ll have to look for them. Couldn’t watch the movie because I had the characters so ingrained in my mind and the movie would spoil it for me.

re: #438 by Moe Katz
I did not know that about Diana Rigg. She was a classically trained actress. I saw her on the stage in London once. Speaking of which, I had a crush on Hayley Mills (I always loved girls who were a bit tomboyish) and it was a thrill to see her on the stage in London as well.

re: #435 by Speranza
Don’t forget Julie Newmar/Catwoman.

Jean Simmmons was a very good actress. Was only 16 or 17 when she acted in Hamlet with Olivier.

I can’t speak for anyone else there, but my reasoning is simple – Who gives a flying fuck about Charles Johnson anymore? He cares more about us at C2 than we do him. We’re gonna move forward, hopefully develop a community, and do our thing. He can rant and rave, hurl lies, smear us, and get pissed off all he wants.
He is irrelevant.

The man relentlessly went after innocent people to destroy them. Reeked havoc in their lives. People need to relentlessly go after him!
What or where is C2?
When we first started that community, we decided – all of us who started it – that we were going to move forward. If anyone wanted to bash Charles, or LGF, or the people there, that there are plenty of places elsewhere to do that. Others approached us, and said they’d join us as well, if that is indeed our policy.
We realized that, rather than focus our attention on a place where it was made very clear to us that we were not wanted, we would try and make a place for ourselves. We didn’t realize that so many others felt the same way, and it just kind of took off.
Scared of Charles? No. Not in the least. Again, I can only speak for myself, I dont’ fear him, hate him, or anything else. I mostly feel indifference, with a slight twinge of pity for the guy.
Are we a “Stalker Blog”? No. We’re just a large group of friends who want to talk news, current events, sports, whatever, and have fun hanging with each other. Bottom line.
Not sure where the harm or threat is in that, but, well, there you go.
re: #493 by vagabond trader
I loved Poldark and the Francesca Annis Anna Karenina. I reread the book this summer, and with far more life experience now, I could enjoy it better. It is indeed on of the world’s best novels.

re: #407 by Kirly
I never liked Tom Bombadil. I’ve read the Lord of the Rings at least 20 times, and I still grit my teeth getting through that section. The only real tie-in was it explained where Merry got the magic dagger he killed the Lord of the Ringwraiths with.
It is still a masterwork of 20th Century literature. Unless the wheels come completely off the wagon they will still be reading it a thousand years from now.
re: #499 by Barely Running
That’s cool. Over here, one of our main sources of pleasure is deconstructing Charles Johnson’s mindfuck machine. It’s personally liberating, but it’s also a hell of a lot of fun.
re: #496 by snork
1. Spying in on this thread – So what? A Lizardoid cannot look at sekrit threads either now?
2. copying comments – So what? Is there some super-duper-sekrit rule against copying? (and how would anyone know Z was doing this anyway?)
3. using a sockpuppet? So what? Sock puppets are also part of some super sekrit rule?
4. Z used sockpuppet to pimp Z’s work? So What? It didn’t get Z banned or warned then.
5. …as Sharm showed above… – Yea that’s reliable for veracity! /
NOW MY PERSONAL FAVORITE:
6. …used sock puppet to down ding me! Ah, the dreaded use of dissent features argument. Thou shall not down ding even though that option is available to you – down dingy clicky dissent will not be tolerated.
Anyway, I’ve probably already said too much, and my words are already being twisted and misconstrued as we speak into some kind of threat.

re: #496 by snork
Damn, man, this is harsh:
You see, Zombie was supposed to be policing her comments 24-7 in case someone said mean things about the Lord and Master. Or Kilgore got drunk again and dropped by to joke about lynching N*s again. That silly Kilgore, always cutting up.
Jesus, but if I ever get that delusional, fucking kill me and be done. It would be less embarrassing.

I didn’t find any fault with Tom Bombadil the first few times I read it – when i was a child (my first reading, i was 11). But, as I got older and read it, I came to the conlusion that he just didn’t fit. After reading the authorized biography, I see what happened.

re: #499 by Barely Running
The fact that Charles calls C2 a “Stalker Blog” although bashing Charles/LGF is not allowed there is an indication of how bad Charles has become in the last two years.
If he calls a blog a “Stalker Blog” while it has strict rules (enforced with post deletions) against talking against him or his blog, it’s clear evidence that his judgment can’t be trusted on anything he says about other blogs or websites.
Charles has trashed zombie viciously for not deleting posts written against CJ/LGF on zombietime, yet Charles doesn’t have the honesty to say, “Ok, C2 is a place that refuses to allow posts to remain there if they bash me.”
It’s up to us (in places that do allow people to speak against CJ/LGF) to point this out, and some of us have done so here.
Anyway, best regards to C2.
re: #521 by Iron Fist
not warped. your critical thinking ability just kicked in before mine.
also, you were right when you said people will be reading it in 1000 years. it’s a classic tale of good vs. evil. it’s removed from our world but reads like an epic history from our world. truly an amazing thing. if the wheels really do come off, people will likely still be reading it but rooting for the wrong side. heh.

Overheard somewhere in the back halls of LGFdom – “where is that other bag of eggshells?”
Now on to something important.

re: #518 by vagabond trader

It was inspired by Thomas Paine’s book, “Common Sense” which is included in Glenn Beck’s book.

So why the secrecy if you owe nothing to Zombie? Why would this need to be discussed only in the sekrit thred? Don’t worry though Icepimple, there aint anyone left who remembers Zombie’s very significant addition of value to Charlie’s former success, except of course for Charlie. For you Charlie, watch out, that karma is a bitch. Not your silly groupthink enhancement tool, but the real karma. By the way, is anybody left from the old guard now? re: #527 by WrathofG-d
Things are still real tight around here. There is nothing to mention at Wally World. Some low-brass shotgun ammo. I mean, they are even out of .22. They get ammo in and it goes out as quick as they can put it on the shelves. They’ve been rationing for about six months, but that hasn’t appreciately helped. OTOH, this Saturday we checked the local Gander Mountain. They had about 5000 rounds of .223/5.56. Maybe more than that. They were still low on a lot of calibers. No .45 JHPs. I’ve found exactly one box of .45 JHPs since March.
Availability depends a lot on what you are looking for. Anything popular, though, is hard to find. More expensive ammo (say Silvertips or Hydroshocks) is more available than less expensive ammo of the same caliber.
I am totally shocked. I expected a small run of firearms and ammo after Obama was elected, but it has been almost a year. Now, I don’t expect demand to let up before the 2010 elections.
My best advice is get on a waiting list, and buy everything you can when it is available. Ammo, properly stored, won’t go bad. At least, not in any time frame you are likely to care about

There is a website that lists gunshows around the country.
Use cash and not plastic whenever you do stock up.

I hear the gun shows have a reliable supply (at least locally they claim that).
Cabela’s also has a supply of a good variety but they did start rationing this summer. Of course, being in CA, you can’t really go to cabela’s unless you take a road trip to AZ or NV. Might be worth it though. The weather in AZ this time of year is fabulous.

Hi! I have been quite busy with school, and work, and a million other things that interfere with my blog-addiction. Found a free moment to check in. Yay!!
I liked Glenn Beck better when he was on CNN.
Seems like ever since Beck moved to FOX that he increased the Drama Queen behavior.
108. Nevergiveup
I addressed that same post by Charles Johnson in my post, #701 in this thread.
I also remarked in that #701 that while I do not care for Irish Rose, I am uncomfortable with the hatred directed against her by some people at this blog.
On one thread lately (maybe this one?), someone was joking that Johnson might be a member of NAMBLA.
I don’t have any respect for Johnson, but I think joking that he might be a pedophile is going too far.
I don’t mind people giving honest criticism against Johnson and other LGF people, but I’m not comfortable with the intense, over- the- top mean-spirited attacks (even if the LGF people are doing the same thing to us, or even if they started it).

Hatred directed against her? Maybe you ought to speak to her about her abusive behavior to any people who display heresy against the official LGF party line. Don’t forget that she had this blog shut down for two hours a few weeks ago and bragged about it. She is not a nice woman.

The Republicans shouldn’t try to reprimand Grayson. He made an ass of himself, and that’s all that matters.
Watch Boehner’s comments on the Resolution against Joe Wilson:

If you watch other Republicans’ in that debate, you’ll see that they took full advantage of the time to get their points across.
If something similar were to be brought against Grayson, I am certain that he would make another “apology” like he did before.
