Blogmocracy in action!
In an effort to contain the Johnson, we have decided to dedicate a daily thread for people to vent, rebut, discuss or just point out the craziness that has become Littlegreenfootballs. We do understand the need to talk about it, as most of us have been there.
Some have had time to leave it all behind, and eventually we all will.
Until such time, we’re asking that all lgf related comments, quotes, and “last words” are kept to the dedicated thread. For those who will come along after, we’ll gently point them to the daily (eventually weekly) and get back to our flow~
We’ll try to make sure that it is the last post of the previous day (aka the dead, dead thread), so it will be easy for people to remember and find.

I knew the end was near when I had my first and only comment deleted (until my -delete this account- post).
It was the beginning of the democratic debates for the 08 nom or something and in the vein of “here we go”, I posted “weeeeeeeeeeee” or some such.
Gone. But not before a couple different people had agreed with me (zombie included)- “here we go”.
A couple days later he announced the “monitor lizards”. I knew it was one of the suck-ups. You would think that after posting there since late 2002 I’d get the benefit of the doubt with the “first” thing. I knew not to do that. I don’t think I’ve even done it here. Maybe once, just cause.

Bogus Stats
One of my friends has been checking stats at “the blog which shall not be named” and has found out that the stats for those logged in doesn’t change if he logs in, logs out! He has done this a number of times. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Fish stats, we think. When he comments, he always plays nice with Sharmuta because he wants to keep his account–he says it’s so much fun watching them–like school kids and the older bully. There was a good post on Power Line that so COMPLETELY accurately described what goes on and how dysfunctional it is–it was stunning.

And I couldn’t agree more on the substance of the discussion here. If any US president refused to leave office if impeached, who would we send to remove him/her? The ARMY dammit!

I don’t know….Still thinking about what to say. A Johnson thread? I think Michael Medved should at some point clairify Mr. Johnson and his positions, as they currently stand. Medved did led me to Johnson in the first place. As far as I know many consevatives, Medved, Hewitt included, still support Johnson. Until that is concluded, I no longer listen to their programs.

How bizarre is it to develop a rating system with buttons for the user BUT if they actually use the buttons to express displeasure he bans them! He should only have a + button if all he wants is positive feedback. He created a TRAP for his posters. That is some kind of pathology.

BTW, I was quickly scanning Instapundit, something I’ve done almost every day for years now. Because I’ve have LGF on the brain today, something struck me. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen Reynolds link to LGF. He used to do it quite frequently back in the days when CJ was still sane.
In fact, one of the reasons LGF gradually slipped my mind was because I wasn’t seeing links to his site on other blogs.

I found LGF from Instapundit in 2002.
The Power Line people show up on Hewitt’s show from time to time, I doubt Hewitt will be promoting Chuckles the Dancing Clown.
Medved is squishier, embarrased by Sarah Palin and a McCain supporter from the beginning, Chuckles slide to Kos-Dom may not have pushed him beyond his boundaries yet.
Medved has a brother who made aliyah to Israel, if Chuckles is truly ghey for Obama, as I suspect, he’ll start slagging on Israel soon, and that might be Medved’s breaking point.

That is up to you, living in this country gives you that right. Still, Michael Medved had Johnson on his radio show and Johnson was given his big break by conservative talk radio. We listened and went. We were betrayed. Medved led us there, he has some responsibility. All I ask is admit he was wrong about Johnson. Same for Hewitt, who will to his dying breath stil link LGF. They should show why?

Hotair apparently had a glitch that was keeping people from being able to post for a short time. Ed Morrisey later posted a thread, “Have you been ‘banned’? Probably Not” in which he explained that there was some maintenance going on.
Not that big a deal. However, the comments are entertaining to read. Once again, selrahC is getting pwned by people on another conservative blog based upon the “banning” element of the headline. CJ has really managed to stir up a hornet’s nest.

I used to find LGF 1 interesting, back when Johnson was doing stories about violence by Muslim terrorists, and when the blog had high quality visitors… back when there was dissent and back-and-forth.
When it became Creationist- and social-conservative bashing all day, all night, and dissent was not allowed, it became very dull.
Even though I’m a Creationist, the occasional anti-Creationist post would not have bothered me, but he really ran that topic into the ground.

So he has to make up for that now with extra treads.
I can tell one good thing LGF did, it bought a lot of good people here. I use to have a few people I really didn’t like too much at LGF. Later, that list increased and then it got so large I didn’t even bother to post.
I’m not that easy to get along with sometimes, I’m better when I don’t take my VA meds. What was my train of thought here? Oh yea, at some point we do have to forget Johnson and go our own direction. The people are in place here to do it.
I know it will not be easy. CJ is that guy in third grade class that you hope something humiliating will happen, just a loud fart would bring peace and a sense of justice to his wounded pride, sorry, it never happens. They later become class President, but we move on to better things.

Hey, wish I knew what kind of day we had, I stayed in all day watching football. I did go out long enought to get a roast duck at Lagoon Drive Chinese restaurant.

My first post here. CJ has said so much about this site I thought I’d visit. I rarely post there anymore as my views are polar opposites to his and all his followers. Have been a lizard since the early 2000’s, and noticed a 180 in his ideology when he started going after DI, creationists, anti-AGW. Anything Christian is mocked. It’s a different lgf, more like Kos or Huffington Post.
Haven’t been banned yet, but have come perilously close at times. I don’t mind disagreeing with him or his minions and consider it an honor to be down-dinged.

Hey folks I have never been here before, but I was a registered lizard until about ten minutes ago. I am not sure what happened. I was logged in and I decided to go back a couple of days to the 9/11 thread to read through it. Suddenly I am blocked. I post here and there and have never said anything remotely offensive. Not really understanding all of this. I’m still kind of in shock.

We are all lurkers here. I’m twenty-three days without a lurk. But I’m an exception. Each day I do have a need, I’m just human man! But, it does get easier and there are those here who lurk for me and post. Now, I just shoot up with what I get here. It will be better for me in the long run. The fix of not going there gets better each day.
To the admins, this thread is a good idea, it should keep other threads on topic knowing that this is coming each day.
Only downside is that you know this is where the 1.0 snitches are going to spend most of their time, they can get the most return on investment since this will be exclusively pretty much CJ bashing.

Don’t be. It’s nothing you have done. CJ’s decisions are becoming less and less understandable. You may have posted on a site that is on his forbidden reading list or maybe you down-dinged the wrong person or made the wrong statement.

Yeah, it changed p.d.q. Leading up to the election I was extremely appreciative of how much stuff he was trying to learn about Obama. Then he was elected, and bam, totally different. I know it’s his blog and he has every right to do what he wants, but it was really a big let down. Plus there was absolutely no warning or heads up for why I was banned. I searched for a contact button to email him and ask, but then I figured why should I crawl to him and beg. I am a grown man and I know when I’m not wanted.

It just continues to astound me, the pure hatred Charles has for the 912 Washington rally. What we all just saw was so many hardworking, heart-and-soul great people who wish America well, who want this country strengthened…

Well after thinking for awhile, I believe I might know why I was banned. Since I have not posted a comment in about a week, I figured it was brought on by the fact that instead of going into the current thread and bashing normal Americans I went to the 9/11 thread. I can not say for certain this is the reason, but it is the only one I can think of.

Actually, you may have been banned by accident.
Earlier today, CJ banned someone by hitting the wrong button and apologized to the person who was long gone to say that the person had been reinstated.
CJ has his own Bully Buttons in addition to the Bully Buttons he built for the readers. I think he’s been hitting his Private Bully Buttons so often lately that he ejected some people without meaning to do so.

After my double bannings, I feel such pride at having stuck to my principles, such sadness at having lost my daily dose of wisdom and laughter from so many lizards for so many years, such anger at the sense of betrayal I feel regarding CJ, and such comfort that I am not alone in these feelings. I know this to be the case from reading this and so many other blogs..

This, or variants of it, seems to be the consensus judgement of the banned. It used to be hard to get banned if you were trying to get banned. Ranbutan, View From Ireland, Yair, Freebourn Secularia (was FS banned, or did he/she just give up?), bigel (mein Gott, bigel), and the list goes on, but you had to really, really cross a bright line to get banned. Not anymore. Whatever line there is is scrawled on the inside of Charles’ forehead with a day-glo marker, but I can’t see it. Some (most?) of the bannings seem to be motivated by pure spite, while others are for disagreeing with some minor point or, no-god (since Charles hates Religion) forbid, down-dinging one of his posts.
I guess we never really knew the man, but after all these years you’d have thought that we’d have something of an accurate accessment of him, just from our long association. I can’t believe he’s always been this way. If he had, he’d have gotten rid of me long ago.
I do tend to stick out in the crowd.

Curious, does anyone remember the last LGF post that was critical of the left/Obama Administration? I do remember some, even after the election, but it’s been months. For example, I remember one critical of Obama’s “special Olympics” joke on Leno. But it’s been awhile. You could see it coming, though.
I think LGF’s evolution has more to do with what’s going on with Conservatives than it does with Obama. Perhaps his hatred of Social Conservatives is so deep that it serves as a template for everything he does. The problem is that he is unwilling to concede that those he may disagree with on some levels are able to speak the truth about things. There is no gray area, therefore, according to Charles:
-Prop 8 was a “bad bill supported by bad people”
-Creationists should never hold political office (or teach for that matter)
-Beck is wrong, wrong, wrong about everything.
-etc., etc
Here’s the thing. Things aren’t so black and white. I’m educated and highly religious. Yet, I respect science and believe in the foundations of evolution. I’m pro-life, with some reasonable exceptions. Some may also consider me an environmentalist. I agree with aspects of Libertarianism, yet I’m not a Paulian. I have, on occasion, voted Democrat. I vote for the person, not the party.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that it’s unfortunate that someone like me could be squeezed out of the political discussion at LGF simply because I don’t tow the line. There can be room for intelligent political discussion if Charles wasn’t so blinded by his black and white beliefs.

You know, Sharmuta now says Zombie’s past work is untrustworthy. Well, that got me wondering about some of CJ’s past work.
When the whole LGF fight with Geller and Robert Spencer about VB started, I automatically assumed CJ was telling the truth about them. I wasn’t that familiar with either of their sites and I didn’t think CJ would turn on allies unless he had very good evidence against them.
Well, Robert Spencer has been dropping in at the comments section at Ace and giving his side of the story. And I have to say, I find Spencer a heck of a lot more credible than I find CJ these days.
I am wondering if I judged Spencer and Geller unfairly. Spencer is quite bitter – he said CJ’s guilt by association attacks ruined the reputation of innocent people and called CJ “an evil man.” Given what I know now about CJ, I should have paid more attention to Spencer’s side of the story. I still trusted CJ so I didn’t give them a chance.

1.0 lizard here (still active) but just got fed up with it over there.
Over the past 2 years, I watched it slowly devolve into something I can’t even recognize any more.

Does anyone know what got mama-winger kicked off 1.0? She was so sweet-cant imagine what her crime was. Well, maybe being sweet is all it took. She lives in WI had a son who served in Iraq a few years ago.

A couple of days ago, CJ and his psychophants were speculating on why he’s being hit by most of the right wing blogosphere at the same time. They decided that it must be a coordinated attack. They didn’t use the words “vast right wing conspiracy” but you know it was sitting on their fingertips.
I think a lot of people have just had enough.
It got to the point for me where every time I clicked on my LGF bookmark, I braced myself for the worst. I knew it was going to be bad so I prepared myself for it. I kept looking at LGF only because of the conservatives who were still there.
The latest round of purges on LGF has left few now.
I think many different right wing blogs decided that it was too blatant to ignore any longer.
It’s not a split in conservatism since CJ is one guy with a small but deeply disturbed group of close followers (the psychophants).
So what if one guy and his twisted groupies have turned to the dark side? He isn’t needed.

Buzzsawmonkey was a poster that I didn’t initially like for some reason. Then became the most interesting read to me. Not sure why either. I think clarity. I enjoy watching him trash iceweasel left and right and then watching her denial. Her identity can’t stand up to being wrong.

My initial reaction on peering into the cesspool that LGF has become was shock and sadness. The more I read about him and the more I read LGF, the more the sadness turns to anger. Let’s remember: CJ isn’t some nut mumbling to himself on a park bench. He’s a well-known blogger many good people trusted and he betrayed that trust. He wants to destroy people, destroy their reputation and credibility and he doesn’t care how many old “friends” he has to stab in the back to do it.
He deserves everything he’s getting.
You know what would be aomething to see? CJ taking a swipe at Mark Steyn. Steyn would glance at the fly buzzing around his head and demolish CJ with 2 devastating sentences.

It’s nice to know that there are others who feel the same as I do. It doesn’t even bother me that he changed his mind about things – what really bothers me is that he just can’t agree to disagree with anyone about it.
