Robert Spencer smacks down selrahC HARD!
Everyone(m) has his own one(f)
To complete his circle
Everyone(f) has her own one(m)
To come, as if in a lot.
As the cloths are to the body
As air is for the breath
And in all the madness around
The two can find consolation in each other
And you, you sweet soul of mine
the only one to light my fire
And with you on my side I feel like the whole world is in me
With you on my side I feel like the whole universe is in me
Without you, I’m merely half a man
Without you, I am practically nothing.
Everyone(m) has his own dream
That appears to be coming near
everyone(f) has her own dream
To come true and storm her heart
As water is for the thirsty
As hope is for the desperate
And in this ocean of cold
They have their love.

re: #2 by jeppo
That is pretty good.
If we are playing the Guilt-by-association game, someone with an account at Jihad Watch should point them to our “Strange Bedfellows” posts:

and
Strange Bedfellows: Communism & Evolution
Looking forward to watching 0 tonight. I don’t think he has dug to China yet. What more can he possibly say to sell Obamacare? New words couched in old meanings probably.
Will TOTUS fall down and go boom?
Thanks for the Spencer link, going to read that now.
ahhh a relaxing open thread before the assault against our American sensibilities by B. Hussein O.
Even the TOTUS is nervous.

Neither am I; I have better things to do with my time than hear Barry talk.

i wont watch, but i am hoping for a teleprompter failure.
I read somewhere on a blog not to long ago, maybe this one, not sure a really funny joke.
TOTUS is down in the basement sniffing Windex.
Cracks me up!
re: #2 by jeppo
I have a mind to go there and slam the 1.0 maven. But it will accomplish nothing for my benefit.
However realize this. He has been slamming Morrisey of Hot Air, and Real Clear Politics picks up Hot Airs posts all the time. And Real Clear Politics is picked up by everyone on the conservative side. So, the nature of what Charles has become is being known by more and more every day.

YOU ARE BETROTHED TO ME
By Shlomi Shabat
I take you to be my wife,
this is what I will say when you will put on
the bridal dress
the singer will sing for you
my sweet soul
and I will agree in a harmonious voice
Oh, beautiful bride,
I swear to you, in the name of love
oh, beautiful bride,
I will ask for your hand even in the next world
Hug me and we will close our eyes,
and remain forever two flowers
You and I are a match made in heaven,
so let’s have a chupah (canopy)
with all the lovers
I take you to be my wife,
this is what I will whisper
I will take you to dance on the dancing floor
when the party will be over, my beautiful,
we will go on our honeymoon
and will seal our love forever
Oh, beautiful bride…
Hug me and we will close our eyes,
and remain forever two flowers
You and I are a match made in heaven,
So let’s have a chupa (canopy)
with all the friends
Some help please.

yeah…but the more we beat on him the more it feeds his ego. i know we cant help it but, we are helping, in our own little way, to ‘enable’ really bizarre and hateful behavior.
re: #10 by coldwarrior
Now THAT would be news!
re: #10 by coldwarrior
That would be a great thing. I can see him now, blubbering along incoherently.
re: #16 by coldwarrior
I think you are on to something there. The more we slam him in exposition the more he can claim victim hood and find justification, in a woe is me-they all hate mindset, to retaliate.
I want this message heard. And I know it’ll get where it needs to go….
Apparently berating, belittling, threatening, stalking and bashing on his own readers isn’t enough for Charles Johnson. That’s the climate on his own blog, his own threads… he’s reaching out by proxy.
I guess some people like that climate – like a restaurant where it is avant garde for the waiter to insult the patrons.
Look, Dude, leave the people alone after they leave. It’s none of your business where they read, where they comment, what blogs they follow, what they say on their own blogs, who they link to, or what they say on other blogs, even if they are criticizing you. What do you expect?
Leave. Us. Alone.

Kenneth? He was one of the truly bright left there. Harrumph.
Too bad this joint session of Congress isn’t like one of those stings where the cops send letters to fugitives telling them they’ve won the lottery or something and arrest them when they show up to claim their prize…

Since this is the open thread, and since I’ve only been here since Saturday, I wanted to share a few thoughts. Like most of you, I spent a fair amount of time at 1.0 over the years. In my case, it was more as a reader, who once in a while felt compelled to offer my observations, and, more than anything engage a broad spectrum of people, who, at their core, I believed understood the world we were facing after 9/11. I’ll admit, I was mainly on the periphery, while I saw many form what appeared to be strong friendships and bonds. 1.0 felt like a community. I drifted in and out from time to time…election 2006 soured me for a while…I came back during the primaries, only to pull back when McCain won the nomination. Then he nominated Sarah, and IO felt rejuvenated. I still hadn’t felt the change that it appears others may have been aware of prior…I was never fond the of the anti-creationist meme…although it hadn’t yet hit full steam.
Anyway, election seemed to accelerate everything, where suddenly, I felt uncomfortable even looking in, let alone even commenting. So, I just went away.
The loss of 1.0 is sad to me, but, to see the attacks that so many of you had to withstand, and in such a cowardly fashion, it is easy to see why so many of you have to commiserate. Too many posters have too many open wounds that still need healing.
Me, I found solace in other places, but, it’s just good to see so many names who’s mere presence at 1.0 made me feel part of a genuine community. And, that’s the part that probably bothers me most…but, life is transient that way.
The observation is watching what took place at Ace’s over the weekend…it wasn’t that it was a blog war. Rather, it was as if Ace’s complete takedown of Mr. Johnson seemed to represent so many former 1.0ers that it was felt across the right side of the blogosphere….Ace, HA, GWP RWN, here…everywhere.
Eh, I went on long enough….
First lie “My Fellow Americans.”
Or was it “Good eveining”
What a bunch of pablum
Damn, they are in full Obamessiah-worship mode over at 1.0. I expected as much. How do the sane ones stand it? I almost did my flounce a few times before I got the axe, and it is so much worse now.
Well, there you go. Two people were screwed over by insurance companies, so we should clearly destroy an entire industry.

Oh Puhlease. Our health problem is our defictit problem and no one disputes them?
ER we dispute them and we are somebody.
Teleprompter whiplash should be covered under the new plan he is proposing. My neck is getting sore just watching, maybe I should just listen for my health.
He is really pushing what most don’t want.
I even hate the bastard’s intonations. His tone. Like he’s lecturing us.
I’d rather bicker….
And here he goes railing against just plain Americans. Yea in his mind we are bickering. What a huge lie he propagates.

re: #78 by LGoPs
I can’t watch. Did he point his finger at you yet?
Try and break it for me.
OT- Sigh. I’m asking “Why Pittsburgh?” too.
Gonna barf now, planting false premises then goes into the big voice for applause to keep people from thinking about what he just said. And now he is giving specifics on a plan that doesn’t exist.
Gotta get a new beer
Damn, Chekote, come on over, and tell us what you said! It must be a doozy to have the mini-One in such a lather…
“Nothing in this plan will require you to change what you have now.
Key word: require.
Once your employer figures out how much money they’ll save by dumping your coverage, you won’t have a choice.
I really hate the 52% that voted for this guy.
And now he goes on about what it will not be.
We have heard this before and he thinks he has marginalized the opposition with a few choice words and so has an open field to move forward what has already been rejected.
He is in way over his head.
Anyone keeping tract of Pelosi’s BPM
choices?
cross state competitive choices?
tort reformed choices?
I want Congress to have the same plan he is proposing.
As a matter of fact I fucking demand it.
Show us the way you bastards.
Oohh tax credits. Four years out.
re: #90 by LGoPs
Heh™ I saw earlier that his disapprove polls were at 52%. I wonder what the answer would be if they asked “If the election were held today, who would you vote for: Barack Obama or John McCain?”
Oh, and I’ve noticed Mandy has quit asking the Republicans that stayed home if they are “fucking happy now”. I guess that sentimate isn’t welcomed over at Re-elect Obama headquarters.
Before he is done and it may be at the end of his speech he will invoke the name of Ted Kennedy.
I now will give you everything you ever wished for for nothing down and no payments for 3 years!
Oh oh here comes the mandatory part! ID cards are here.
re: #90 by LGoPs
Me too.Time to get back to Anthology on VH1 classic. The Beatles, simpler times.
re: #97 by song_and_dance_man
Don’t forget Superman!
If noticed, he is talking to the pols in session. No one that is up on this debate has any idea what he is talking about.
Do not look directly into his eyes!!!!
re: #96 by Iron Fist
Heh. I saw a news clip yesterday of when he said we were 5 days away from fundamentally changing America. And the asshat bastards sitting behind him cheering.
I think I scared my neighbors when they heard me scream……
Ha. He mentioned talk show hosts as cynical and charged with lies.
Boy Rush, Hannity and Beck will down this charge full boar tomorrow.
Anyone watching Obummer’s speech?
This is a man with a serious messiah issue.
Oh oh death panels!! Palin will eat this guy for lunch tomorrow. Anytime he gets specific he opens a big door. Someone just yell LIE after saying no illegal coverage.
Yeah, right. No funding for illegals.
They’ll just make it illegal to ask anyone about their citizenship status…..like they already fucking do.

That is a known fact among the informed. Not your screaming, but that he said it.

Can. Not. Listen. Hi there LGoPs, welcome to the ~stalker blog~.
No he doesn’t want to put insurance co.’s out of business, he just wants to socialize and nationalize them in his grand totalitarian utopia and thereby control them.
re: #104 by song_and_dance_man
Is this tonight’s speech? It sounds a lot, from what I’m hearing from you guys, like the previous 20 or so.
I thought this was gonna be the earth shaker. Yawn.

re: #118 by vagabond trader

We will provide you with a choice.
Yeah right.
His visceral railing against the capitalist co.’s is a bunch of bull
Hey. I just heard him say he would personally make sure that no one got between me and the coverage I need. Ok, I’m sold.
Must suck to be the rest of you.
Nyuk, nyuk.
Now which is it? He said it is a choice but then it is mandatory. Aspirin please.
Any mention of a chicken in every pot yet.

Yes, but be prepared, Lennon, McCartney and Harrison are treated as humans, not gods. The reason they were successful was ego and ruthless ambition. But, the stories are engrossing.

re: #152 by jas
Is this a fairly old book? I read a bio like that some years ago.
I’m disappointed. I was patiently waiting to hear how he was going to upgrade the DMV and make it run as smoothly as the private sector runs health care. Should be easy since it is less complex. And how he was going to privatize the US postal service.
re: #157 by song_and_dance_man
Yes Go Dodgers indeed!
He goes the Ted reference.
I knew it. He would end with a Kennedy spiel.
bingo
and as for those who keep asking you to give up what you have for the “poor”………..
3Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
4But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5″Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.[b]” 6He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

Levin called him a job-killer.
I can’t believe you guys are watching this!
re: #94 by LGoPs
I agree. Congress should have the same health care plan we do.
How ironic that these bastards, who are working for us, will have the best available for themselves , while they push the worst on us.
That alone tells you everything.
And btw, it is interesting how the fat decrepit Teddy Kennedy
got all the possible procedures to give him the most time.
Of course most 76 year old people will not get brain surgery. They will be told to go home and die.
Kennedy’s grandchildren shilled that very plan at his funeral and in his name. Disgraceful.
The left is monstrous in their selfishness and arrogance.
Am I the only one who notices there is no real enthusiasm even among the sitting socialists in that room?
re: #168 by orangecrush

By not measuring pH along the way with a little litmus paper the government turned route 99 into a 7 year billion dollar environmental fiasco.

Now the workings of the human body involve much more than pH balance. What could go wrong with ObamaCare?

“You old people…” TOTUS is pissed! ROFLMAO!
Did anyone else notice when he said to Seniors, “I want to look you in the eye and tell you…” He leaned forward and quickly stared straight ahead for the only time then quickly averted his eyes to the TELEPROMPTER as his words do not come from the heart. Shallow man syndrome.

So, he’s going to pay for his plan by cutting down on waste and fraud in Medicare.
Then, we’ll create a new program that’s 10 times the size of Medicare.
How much waste and fraud will be in that?
This is like discussing economics with my Sheltie…
My husband and I have been paying out of our pocket for 18 years for our health insurance, we own our own business. And I am glad to write that check. Health insurance is not a right that our government should give us. Sure I could spend that money as a new car payment, for a vacation, etc. but I don’t. It is OUR responsibilty, not some freebie that my fellow taxpayers must subsidize for us.
Rant off.

True. I went to the 3rd game of the Yankee Dodger WS back in 77. IIRC the Yankees won that series but not the game I saw.
Zero used God twice yesterday in his speech to ingratiate himself with school children. The MSM and the left would have eviscerated Pres. Bush if he had done that.
Zero just gets a nod and a smile from his sycophants and parasites.
Who also didn’t raise an eyebrow when Zero instructed religious leaders to pray that his Health Care grab succeeds.
He is flailing and really desperate in this transparent attempt to con spiritual people. It is also insulting to religious people after he called them “bible clingers’.
He is such an asshole.
damn…I’m a retired state employee and I like my insurance just the way it is thankyou
I didn’t watch (no t.v.) did TOTUS create a bunch of straw man arguments?

re: #208 by chickadee
Zero used God twice yesterday in his speech to ingratiate himself with school children.
selrahC probably was not happy about that!
re: #211 by BenZacharia
You got that right, I had posted on an earlier thread some weeks ago that the god he talks about isn’t the God of the bible.
re: #207 by song_and_dance_man
Yankees won games 1 3, 4 and 6 of that Series.
Dodgers won games 2 and 5
The Dodgers actually out homered the Yanks in that World series (despite all the Reggie Jackson home runs).

692g? sorry I’m a little slow
I hope Kenneth finds his way to LGF. He was one of the good ones… Too good for LGF, of course.
Once again: I welcome all the new users here that I may have missed as the exodus continues from the now-progressive blog run by Chuckles the Clown.

Why do people hang out there? are they that sick?

re: #208 by chickadee
Yes. In his speech yesterday -and I’m repeating myself again- B. Hussein forwarded the blessing of God (who his god is is yet to be determined) to the children of America and to America itself from a CLASSROOM setting.
So much for the lefts idea of separating church from state – a thing I disagree with.
The hypocrisy of the left runs deep and is close to touching hell.
re: #220 by BenZacharia
Ohhh..that guy, of course.
re: #214 by Speranza
It was so long ago. It may have been the 5th game I went to.
Oh and BTW, my sister (this may be another way for CJ to out more) has been a head usher there at Dodger stadium for years now. At least 20.
re: #221 by song_and_dance_man
The left knows it’s not the God of the bible, therefore no threat.
re: #186 by vapig
Levin also said that if the recession is over cancel the bleeping stimulus!
Amen Sister Vapig. The porkulus was designed for state and local governments (and civil service jobs), not for us.
re: #219 by davehm
Hard to see the rules changing and ones own descent into pettiness… until the epiphany happens and you suddenly see charles for who he really is. Smarter ones (than I, at least) see it before they are banned…Most get banned, suffer the insults of charles, then the silence concerning ones account, and only then become aware of the charade they themselves participated in.
Next is anger.
It is hard to leave somewhere you call home..especially when deprived by whim and then insult on top of it.
re: #223 by song_and_dance_man
The douche nozzle already outed you – so has it changed your life? What a pathetic hag he is!
HOW TO START EACH DAY WITH A POSITIVE OUTLOOK
1. Open a new file in your computer.
2. Name it “Barack Obama.”
3. Send it to the Recycle Bin.
4. Empty the Recycle Bin.
5. Your PC will ask you: “Do you really want to get rid of “Barack Obama?”
6. Firmly Click “Yes.”
7. Feel better?
GOOD! – Tomorrow we’ll do Nancy Pelosi.
re: #224 by davehm
Aint it the truth. They serve another even though they invoke God as though whom they serve is the One best known by those who agree with Abraham and Moses.
re: #219 by davehm
After going to the same blog for a long time, it becomes like an online home to some. It is really difficult for some to up and move… You get used to the comment system, the people, etc.
Of course the people AND the comment system at LGF f’n sucks.
But some won’t leave for well past the time they should… then an epiphany and they’ll realize “WTF was I doing for so long?!?!”
I do not blame those people for sticking around. Even family events have the family drunk invited a few too many times before people start asking if they will attend the next party and making plans to attend accordingly.
re: #228 by BenZacharia
but they’re like a virus you can delete and delete and it doesn’t go away.
re: #227 by Speranza
Not one bit. There are or were many on that site that knew me by my real name and what I believe.
It bothers me not in the slightest. But I am teed that Charles would lie and say to his sycophants that I emailed him after my banning with warnings that he was being ‘watched’. As though I was stalking him.
He lied about that, and is further proof that he wants any who may come here to be wary of the boogie men who may corrupt those who leave him and find us here as maniacs.
Boo. beware. We are crazed, ala more crazed than him.
His rocker is tired of him and wants him off.
re: #230 by Bill Jenkins
I understand, some people have posted there for years and had established relationships with others and it’s sad but for those who have registered this past year or so I just don’t see any point in hanging out.
re: #233 by davehm
I understand. I am a former member of that “home”. As the days progress, I see fewer, and fewer people that I know and had a grand time with. Some have been blocked/banned/given the stick, the rest just don’t comment any more. I have stepped in the river, and it has moved on.
Well, after all the bummer news today I can rest a little easier now that the Red Sox beat Baltimore.
re: #69 by BenZacharia
Ha ha, funny! (I mean that, that was not sarcasm. Your post made me grin)
I spent the last day or two trying to avoid the Obama speech to school kids, but every time I channel surf lately, every network (including FOX cable) has been repeating snippets of it.
re: #188 by chickadee
Chickadee my dear, you always get right to the point. I like your turn of phrase. Also, cannot bear looking at him or hearing his voice. It is nasty and scary.

re: #20 by Rose
is this in regards to the coffee spot?
Yep. Irish Rose came in to level her threats. But I am done with this guy and his threatening us and all of you, whose only “crime” was that you registered there and dared to have an opinion, dared to post comments at other blogs, dared to link to interesting blogs – what right does he have to tell ANYONE who they can visit, talk to, link to, what they can and cannot say?
He spends all his time on the threads like a hunter with a gun trained on the rabbits – he taunts and castigates, sneers and derides before pouncing, and thinks it is amusing, if tiring.
It isn’t funny. It might have been playful once upon a time, and the next day he let you back in and bygones were bygones – I don’t know, it seems that way from reading the history and the dictionary there that it was once a playful place, with lush gardens, now it is laden with barbed wire and landmines, and has turned dark and creepy.
The New York Times explains why it missed the Van Jones Commie Truther story:
One reason was that our Washington bureau was somewhat short-staffed during the height of the pre-Labor Day vacation period.
The bureau evidently remained short-staffed for some considerable period.
The ‘Olde Grey Whore”’s crack team of investigative reporters was still rifling through Sarah Palin’s garbage in Alaska.
Hello to all those in banned camp. I brought apple cider for the teachers. Try some, it’s insidiously tasty.
My story -
I’ve been in the blogosphere since 2001 tracking Sullivan and then Asparagirl (”Yuppies of Zion”, now). I started blogging in 2002 and soon fell into LGF. Charles subsequently instituted registration, but I wasn’t too keen on joining at first, as at the time it was too strident for me. I registered 2007 when it looked to be becoming more moderate. I cheered a good deal of the initial bannings and generally thought little of the bannees. On other occasions I argued against Charles. Search this site for “Zimriel” and you will find a point where 2.0 noticed that I did it.
I thought that I was living proof that King Charles allowed principled dissent in his realm. I thought that siding with him on almost all of his crusades, and giving him the benefit of the doubt on the rest of them, would be enough.
I was wrong.
In late June, Charles decided that constitutional government in Honduras was not worth his time. I declared his blog “anti-conservative” on 30 June. For that I took in 10 downdings, starting with avanti. Then I got the king’s “adieu”.
An aside here: Understand that I had invested a lot of time and emotion refining arguments and digging up scoops for that site. I defended Charles on other sites and cut off several online associations over the various blogwars he engaged in.
Even after all of that, I was going to keep defending Charles; on the theory that at least now I could do it without people dismissing me as an LGF tool. But then this Van Jones thing cropped up. Then the remnant LGFers attacked Zombie.
I’m not here looking for friends. (I said more or less as much at the Table 9 chat.) I’m not asking for absolution as Depeche Mode once put it.
But I would like to register that I’m one more voice in solidarity with you on this much: that Charles has caused damage to his own credibility, has set back his own causes (some of which I still agree with), and has made his own defenders look like schmucks.
re: #238 by Rose
Rose your description is spot on. Kind of like a cyber Pyong Yang with Kim Chuck Il sitting in his big house making virtual life and death decisions…
Welcome Zimriel,
No worries! Freedom to debate is what we want, currently we are primarily a collection of conservative exiles, both voluntarily or by selrahC, but we welcome dialogue. Comments may be deleted, but I don’t think anybody has been shown the door Elian Gonzalez style.
It is everything that we who had been a part of the blog that shan’t be named without the upanddowndings and karma crap. If somebody has an opinion good, bad or neutral, just say it. Dings, what a silly ass way to rate a comment
re: #240 by Zimriel
Zimriel welcome! I also know that you probably regret referring to us as insidious bad apples – we are definitely not and everyone makes mistakes! I witnessed your banning and you said nothing that deserved a banning – only pointed out the obvious – that LGF was an anti conservative blog. Anyway I hope you stick around here, it will remind you of the old LGF.
Why would people keep defending Charles after he unceremoniously (and quite rudely) banned then? Interesting psychological proposition.
re: #238 by Rose
He is a nasty piece of work and his threats cannot harm us at all. As for Irish Rose, I wish that I was in the chat room when she popped her ugly face in, she would have regretted it! What did people say to her?
Re #240 Zimriel:
“Even after all of that, I was going to keep defending Charles…”
I myself was late to the party. The first year that Johnson embarked on his smear campaign against the European anti-jihadists and those he associated with them (rightly and wrongly) in America, I tried to stay out of it.
But there is a lateness to the party that manifests a moral myopia that is extremely severe. After what Johnson did (and does) to Pamela Geller, his jihad against Glenn Beck, his lies about Ann Coulter, and on and on and on, for someone to say “even after all of that, I was going to keep defending Charles” is like the defiant fascist salute Ezra Pound gave when he returned to Italy in 1958.
In other words, by that time it was easy to be on the right side, and those who were still on the wrong side were suffering from profound disabilities of judgment and moral sense.
re: #245 by Robert Spencer
Mr. Spencer I bought two of your books
Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades, and Religion of Peace? CJ is not fit to criticize your scholarship.
What did people say to her?
Nothing. She popped in on a quiet morning, delivered her little missive, and promptly left.
What you all say about becoming friends is exactly right. A bunch of us were banned for updinging Eric Cartman’s Conscience, and we found a way to reconnect. We opened our own “Lounge” and set about finding lost friends and making new ones. We, like The Blogmocracy, are a refuge for those who have been banned, and a place to touch base with people you knew and liked from your time at LGF. (btw – Some did email Charles for an explanation, none received an answer)
No one ‘hates” Charles – in fact, we credit him for the once great blog he had, and the fact that, were it not for him, we might never have met. But no one likes what they are seeing over there now, with the brutal treatment of visitors and ex-”Lizards,” and the strained silence and psycho-phantic behavior and complicity of those remaining.
It’s often said that it is his blog and he has a right to do what he wants – and no one disputes that. But he has no right to attack and denigrate his readers for visiting other blogs, linking other blogs, or having other online nics. Geez. It is a blog. No blood-loyalty oaths required.
LIke I said, Sharmuta (who posted about this on LGF) – Leave. Us. Alone. No one is stalking you. No one cares if you love LGF. More power to you. Leave. Us. Alone.
