When I spent hours researching Van Jones to find out if he was a Truther, I had a surprising experience. I found nothing at all to back up the claims that he was a Truther. I found lots of evidence that he was a leftist. But I also found lots of evidence that he was a highly motivated and intelligent guy who has achieved a LOT of really positive things. An African American who has excelled in his career and helped a LOT of other people. I’m sure Van Jones and I would disagree about a lot of things. But what I learned when I searched for Trutherism is that he’s also a person who might just have been really good at the job of “green czar.” A person who went through the usual communist-in-my-youth phase and came out the other side as someone who actually makes a difference in the world, committed to work within the democratic system to achieve goals that I might have some quibbles with, but that are overall very positive. But hey, we need to destroy that if we’re “conservatives,” right? Who cares if he’s actually a decent human being who has helped other human beings? He’s a CZAR. He’s an ENVIRONMENTALIST. Clearly, he is EVIL. This country is in horrible shape, when we tar and feather people like him, without even giving him a chance to show what he could do. Go ahead and call me a traitor for thinking this. Flounce if you must. I don’t care. This episode was disgusting and wrong, and America is poorer for behaving like this.

It should be pointed out that calling the outing of Van Jones by Glen Beck et al a racist lynch mob is a typical progressive arguing point. They do this because they want to use race as a weapon. It is in their vested interest to adopt a form of racism and live it.
The reply is to point out to them their own moral uncertainty. Charles here is actually performing the role of race baiter. The eager observer from the side line that is eager to exploit the racism he perceives but is most likely not there.
You can see the weakness when CJ resorts to the emotional appeal of lynching instead of a well founded documented argument. Because he has no evidence here. And he typically asks everyone else for verifiable evidence in all of his ventures.
But he just wanted to say this so bad, he threw away his intellectual rigor. He thus performs the role of racist. Further trying to divide groups based on racial pejoratives.
That is what LGF is becoming.

Whilst I appreciate the animus that many have felt towards Charles Johnston it should be remembered that for a long time his website was one of the few that railed against what was wrong.
I feel very sad that Mr Johnston cannot recognize that we are faced with an existential threat against the way of life that we enjoy. However his past efforts should not be entirely overlooked.
I do however reluctantly admit that CJ’s time has past.
We must retain our commitment to defeating those who would undermine and betray us.

Watching LGF implode now is like watching an old flame who you once really loved, become a coke addict and start dating a biker-felon and get caught robbing a bank. At first you’re disoriented, then it registers that something bad has happened, then finally you realize you’ve really parted ways and there’s just nothing to go back to, but that doesn’t mean you don’t have fond memories of what it once was.
CJ did incredible important, valuable work in the 2002-2007 era, keeping the flame alive of anti-jihadism and coverage of news that others would ignore or not touch. And of course he had a few big wins, like Rather. But that’s why we’re all paying attention to the de-evolution in progress. If there was nothing substantive there from times of yore, there’d be nothing to be amazed and sad about now.
Anyway, in my time on this planet, I have never seen a person lurch so hard form right to left, so far into the middle age years. That kind of lurching is not unknown to college students, but to a 60 year old blogger? weird….

Another Ex-Lizard here. I started paying attention to LGF after Rush gave him a thumbs up for exposing the Rather hoax. I actually enjoyed CJ’s blog, busting Rather, Green Hat Guy, Islamic Rage Boy, and exposing the blatant misinformation published by Reuters, the AP and others.
One day in December the gates of wrath opened, and I signed in. I lasted an entire 5 days before I was sandbagged for mentioning the USS Liberty Incident. Within minutes I was labeled a troll, a neonazi, an anti-semite, and a racist. I was stunned, and although a couple of lizards came to my defense, Charles booted me with no warning.
There’s nothing more for me to add about 1.0 that hasn’t been said previously. I’ve been lurking here ever since CJ gave you folks a lot of free publicity.
I’d love to see a semi-regular post of “the secret thread.” It would bug King Liz to no end.

I started posting at #89. The weirdness began after “macintush,” #122,recommended that Israel take one sq. km for every Israeli killed. I responded to his snark, but it wasn’t taken that way.
Just noticed that any links to 1.0 from this site get redirected to an infantile mocking post. Nice.

If you don’t want LGF to redirect you when you click on one of their link URLs then use Firefox.
CJ toys around with referrer statistics on his website. Those stats “prove” how unhinged stalkers are.
Using Firefox do the following:
