I think my Aunt can be taken off the list. She’s been at home for a few weeks now, and she seems to be doing fine now.
I will have to be on the list for a long, long time, what with my mother’s passing, my anxiety attacks, depression, and other things (which I don’t want to get into on a public forum).
My sister is still undergoing health problems, which was affecting her job (she had to take time off from work, and her disability pay was getting lower the longer she had to take off work, which was stressing her out).
Thanks for keeping my family and me on the list. I’ll keep praying for other people, too.

Yes, I took anti-depressant medications for years and years, and I saw psychiatrists for many years too (mainly for the pill prescriptions).
For the first six months, the anti-depressants kind of worked, but after that, they turned me into a sort of zombie (I was in a haze, didn’t feel much of anything), and they didn’t do anything for the depression or anxiety attacks after the first six months or so.

I started it as LGF Watch Watch with zorkmidden as my co-blogger, mostly on a lark. We’d been tag teaming the LGF Watch comments and I started the blog because they shut comments down. Evariste came on board shortly thereafter, mostly because he’s got mad web skillz I completely lack.
It got renamed to Discarded Lies when we, by which I mean zorkie and evariste, moved it off of Blogspot. Things went south with me when evariste edited a post of mine and then got all bossy when I called him on it. I noted that I didn’t and had no intention of working for him and left the site. He and zorkie built it into what it is. It’s their site and always has been, and I don’t carry any particular grudge with either of them. My involvement is sort of a trivial footnote in the history of DL.
Whassup, Fist? Anyone know where Geepers is these days?

Hey, brother! I’ve not talked to Geepers in a while. He was OK the last time I talked to him. He’s in for a shock if he goes back to 1.0. I suppose it is possible Charles stealth-banned him.
Some thing to keep in mind for all those who HAD LGF 1.zilch accounts, Charles accesses the pass words. he used that to out a sockpuppet once and bragged the guy used the same pass word.
So if you used the same pass word at LGF as you did on other blogs or E-mail etc, Chuckie has access.
Don’t know if any one has mentioned htis or not.

Interesting. That is bad software design. Very bad software design. Everything I’ve ever built for the web uses SHA to hash paswords into unreadable hex and then stores the hashed value.
That is the way a professional does passwords. That way if someone does hack in and get the password database, they’ve got nothing. SHA ia a one-way algorithm. You can’t winkle out the passwords from the hash.
To do otherwise is real amature hour software design.

One of the things that I thought was very strange about LGF the past year was his constant opening up of registrations. In the past he would have maybe one – three registrations a year and it was always on nights like Christmas Eve. Now I realize why he did it. He wanted more “lizards” to replace the conservatives that he knwe were going to leave or be banned. In essence he was filling up the ranks.

Zulubaby constantly was getting hat tips – mostly on subjects about Israel, Middle East terrorism, etc. She might have been the doyenne of LGF but she was sweet, friendly to all, bright, and not an obnoxious suck up the way Sharmuta and Irish Rose are. I also liked mommydoc, swampwoman and Bubble Girl.
I do not think I got any hat tips (actually maybe one) but then again I rarely sent him any news tips. Too lazy!

Wrath of G-d gave me a hat tip here at 2.0 once about a month ago; he liked a link I put in a thread and featured it in a new thread. I thought that was nice of him.
As for “self bannings.”
I find it funny I was banned from LGF 1.
While I didn’t completely stay away from LGF 1, I didn’t post there a whole lot to start with. I was a ‘quasi-self banner,’ you might say.
I always enjoyed lurking more than posting, and when Johnson got on to his anti-Christian/ anti-Creationist/ bash conservatives kick, I was even less inclined to post there than I was before.
All I did was drop in to post the occasional anti-evolution link in the Creation threads, and that was only once every few weeks or so.
(I did NOT post to every single evolution/ Creationist thread. I stayed out of most of them because the arrogance displayed against people of faith was offensive.)
I didn’t intend on posting there much anymore after he got into his obsession over Darwinism, Intelligent Design and Creationism.
Banning me was rather pointless, in other words, since I didn’t post there too often to begin with, and certainly didn’t plan on increasing my participation after the anti-Creationism stuff started.

Myself, I have my beliefs about the dawn of man, but find it very telling that the lizard queen isn’t at all comfortable with people having their own beliefs. I also find no fault with people who don’t agree with my belief about the way man was put on this earth.
