Democrats seek retaliation against insurance companies

Good morning everyone! I have come across a very disturbing story. The Totalitarian Progressive Democrat controlled Congress is now seeking to retaliate against the Health Insurance companies. The insurance companies know that Obamacare’s goal is to put them out of business, so naturally they are opposing this scheme. Fascist thugs Henry Waxman (D-Cal) and Bart Stupak, (D-Mich) have sent warning letters to insurance companies, asking for financial records in order to silence them.

In a move some fear is a reprisal for opposing President Obama’s health care plan, Democrats sent 52 letters to health insurers requesting financial records for a House committee’s investigation.

Reps. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., and Bart Stupak, D-Mich., sent a letter warning health insurers that the House Energy and Commerce Committee is “examining executive compensation and other business practices of the health industry.”

Waxman, chairman of the committee, and Stupak, chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee did not inform their Republican counterparts of their plans.

Health insurers have until Sept. 4 to provide Congress a detailed list of every employee who made over a $1 million dollars a year between 2003 and 2008. Democrats also want documents about conferences and any events held off company property as well as the types of transportation, lodging, food, entertainment and even gifts exchanged.

Is this the United States of America? The government blackmailing private companies for political reasons is a Totalitarian act. This is being done to scare the insurance companies into not opposing the eugenics based Obamacare.

Transnational Totalitarian Progressives will do anything to achieve their goals. Anyone who stands in the way of “Progress” must be eliminated or scared into supporting their agenda. They have done this before in Russia, China, Cuba, Venezuela and Germany.

    Recall that the “house bill” on health care uses the IRS as it’s hammer.
    Recall The admin’s collection of emails that they had such a hard time admitting to.
    Recall the TV and Cable networks downplayed the union thugs beating that town hall protester
    (Either bias or intimidation from Obama, as chuckie points out, without a Secret Service document that has been notarized, then OKed and stamped by Information Retrieval can one rule out intimidation from Obama.))

    For some reason, that reminded me of this passage from the declaration of independence:

    You can get into a pretty nice Sportster for that kind of money. You won’t have all the chrome or custom paint, but the engine will be over 1200 ccs and it’ll be all Harley. There are times when I wish I’d taken that option. The Springer is a costly beast.

    But damn, she is fine when I get to ride her. I’ve decided to trike her. The Girlfriend has promised that she’ll ride with me if I do. Trikes are cool. I’ll be OK with it.

    The VA system seriously pisses me off.

    Yes, for the troops who get hurt on duty, it is good.

    For everyone else, no.

    My father had serious problems with the arteries in his legs that the VA saw during a routine MRI.

    They didn’t tell him about it and we wouldn’t have known ever, but a non-va doctor asked for a copy of his medical records from the va and saw the notes about it.

    He had heart arythmia (sp?) and, it turned out, serious blockage in a few arteries. The VA kept putting him on other pills and told him he’d have to live with being constantly weak and dizzy (they didn’t know, or didn’t tell us, about the blockage).

    Within a month of being out of the va and back on a private insurance company (and doctor system) he had a quadruple bypass and had 10 of his around 30 medications cut out.

    Had nothing to do with anything he did. If you look at his actions, he was a moderate, at best, president.

    His stances on illegal immigration, border security and his financial-sector bailout near the end of his presidency were all things that the left would have cheered for if it was anyone but Bush.

    He was a GREAT President for liberals and moderates.

    Bush was kind of the ultimate Moderate President, and I think History will remember him far more kindly than the usual suspects today. He was elected on the thinnest of margins, and he still managed to accomplish a lot.

    Winning the War in Iraq is his biggest victory, but his legacy through Roberts and Alito will thunder down the legal system for a generation. Heller wouldn’t have happened without Roberts and Alito. Heller is huge. That will reverberate as a victory for freedom for decades. That is probably why the Democrat controlled House and Senate have left gun control alone. Sontomayor won’t change the votes in Heller.

    Thank God W didn’t follow in his father’s footsteps and nominate one conservative (Thomas is a jewel) and one Liberal (Souter sucked). That alone is a victory.

    I am a dentist so by definition I hate Insurance Companies. They are a pain in the ass. The only thing worse is the Government, both State and Federal. What a crock of shit to blame this on Insurance Companies. Anyway many of the problems that people percieve that Insurance companies cause cause could be legislated away with out destroying the system. Of course even that would probably cost more, but that’s another story.

    Maybe but some of the changes such as no pre-existing conditions clauses and other things if not implimented both Industry wide and nation wide could and would bankrupt many of these Insurance companies and many of them are public companies. Also with out Tort reform, not sure they could even do it.

    What’s really puzzling to me is how few jobs there are available in the government/contractor sector at the moment. I live in Colorado Springs, with 5 military installations within a 20 minute drive, and there’s just nothing out there.

    Well, that’s not entirely true. There are jobs available for ballistic missile defense experts, and other obscure specialties, but that’s about it.

    With all the money that’s being pumped into the government these days, you’d think there would be some actual jobs created.

    Part of the reason that I posted a million posts ago that I thought the inner circle at the executive branch was having serious problems shutting Obama up for five minutes was because IMHO Obama isn’t as happy being a soroS TOOL as soroS would like.

    9% of all home loans are delinquent
    Mortgage lenders say the flood of foreclosures has not yet crested. Highwater mark should come this fall.

    NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The number of Americans who have fallen at least 30 days behind on their home loan payments inched up slightly between the first and second quarters of 2009, but jumped 44% compared on an annual basis, according to an industry report.

    That puts delinquencies at a record 9.24% of mortgages, according to the National Delinquency Report from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) That represents more than 4 million of the 45 million borrowers covered by the report.

    What the rate does not include, however, are loans already in foreclosure. Some 4.3% of all the mortgages are in that stage, up from 3.85% three months earlier and 1.55 percentage points from one year ago.

    Ouch. If Obama were a Republican, people would be comparing this to the Depression, and talking about how good thoose people had it living under FDR.

    I’m really more interested in civil service jobs, since I can buy into the retirement system (sort of an issue for me, being 48). Contractor jobs would be my second choice.

    I’m hoping things get better once the new fiscal year starts.
