Some bitter clinger over at Renew America does the dirty on Pres_ent Obama
….Now, to the chagrin of the President and his Party, he is discovering why cults of personality are not truly reliable as a source of political power. It’s because, psychologically, frenzies of excitement cannot be maintained indefinitely. In the psychological gravity of personality politics, what goes up must come down. The superficial luster will wear away. Once a personality-dependent ruler starts having to actually make decisions that will affect peoples’ lives, he will invariably start to see support slip away. And when the ruler makes a string of monumentally bad decisions like Obama has, one after the other, packed tight like a can of sardines, the slippage will turn into freefall.
There will always be those who blindly cheer the President no matter what he does. However, a critical percentage of the population — the one that does things like decide elections — has awakened to what Obama really is. They’ve seen the lies, and they don’t like them one bit. They see the gathering clouds, the storm that threatens to deluge their freedoms and their family finances, and they’re revolting against it. It is no longer enough for them that Obama is “the first black President” or that he’s cool and hip. They want governance that will bring back prosperity and protect their freedoms, or at least that isn’t going to devastate them individually and as a nation. Yet, they’re getting exactly the opposite. Obama is finding out that popularity and coolness are no substitute for substance and gravitas and wisdom and statesmanship. It’s just a shame that this discovery came after he was able to scam his way into the White House….
Read the whole thing.

Bravo, fine sir. Nicely done.
* “Pres_ent” – beautiful.
Yes, while I am worried about our country, I can’t help but take some enjoyment in watching Obama collapse like an over-filled ballon that has burst. It was inevitable. If only it had come before the election.
re: #2 by Iron Fist
We haven’t seen him go ghetto for a while.
It’s about due.
Wag the dog…..
Yes, that’s exactly what this maggot Mac-daddy did. Scammed his way into the White House.
Speaking of Psychoanalysis , the Obama visit in Arizona has made quite a quiver over a 1.0 now with the open carry of guns by citizens at the rally.

re: #6 by Sparky
Heh. Did you see the clip of the NRA guy in Montana?
After he announced his affiliation you could hear a pin drop. Three people clapped and two booed. Or something like that.
This guy is about as real as the perpetual motion machine.
re: #7 by Bumr50
Missed that one. Got a link?
We need more of this, maybe the lessons not taught in schools can be taught on the streets, unlike some would like us to think this is Cuba. Why would a rational person fear a person in a crowd of police openly carrying?
re: #8 by Sparky
I’ll try and find one.

Here you go. Click to view.
re: #10 by Bumr50
As Northwest transplant to SoCal, I don’t fall for that one bit. Guns are a way of life in the country, and there is a lot of it. There are pockets of Jetsetters there who just love the O.
My wife just loves her new friend. Maybe a few more ladies in the crowd would allay their fears.
I like this:
Obama rode to victory in 2008 on the shoulders of a slight majority of the voting populace who, by and large, just thought it was “cool” and “fresh” to vote for him.
and this:
It is no longer enough for them that Obama is “the first black President” or that he’s cool and hip.
I gave BO a benefit of a doubt right off the bat. Then right off the bat he didn’t go through the bills line by line to eliminate earmarks. That was quick. Typical politician.
Off thread.
My good old buddy Murphy is gone. Died last week. I didn’t know until I went to the old watering hole today, seems I just saw him yesterday. He flew those old prop planes. The ones our government gave the Viets and Laos. They coudn’t fly them in war time so people like Murph did. Murph never talked about it much. Got him some old Laos money on my last trip to Vietnam, 2006. Made his day. I don’t know if he flew for Air America, he never said. He was just assigned to the Laos Royal Airforce. Sure will miss our Southeast Asian talks. Memorial coming up this week at the Arizona memorial on Ford island. God bless you Sir. I think he retired as a Lt. Col. USAF. A true warrior.
re: #13 by tee
My condolences to you. I will say a prayer.
re: #12 by mjazz
I too was gracious at first, a sore loser on the inside only. I knew time would tell on him, no way he could deliver on all his promises without pissing off a percentage that gave him that slight edge.
re: #13 by tee
Sorry for the loss, sounds like a hellava guy.
Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Chavez, Mussolini and now Obama all have Cults of Personalities.
Cult of Personality is Totalitarian in nature.
re: #13 by tee
Yes a true warrior for America. May he rest in peace.
Here is a perfect song for this topic.
Living Colour – Cult Of Personality
re: #10 by Bumr50
That was quick.
re: #16 by Rodan
The 666 dude is going to have one hell of a personality cult.
leftist=progressive=democrat=more government
rightist=individual=tradition=markets=less govt
in the USA today.
6 decades ago, fascism, nazism, communism, and socialism where all closer to leftism then rightism. They were all trying to destroy the past to make way for a new future. The opposition was Yankees. The yankees were the right wing. People with a moderate set of rights that wanted less revolution not more.
I do think we are headed to more violence in this country though. The wholesale ravaging of the fundamental building blocks of the country by the left is not going to go over well. The complicity of the MSM and political leaders. They are disenfranchising a very large population segment. They do this further by labeling these people as hicks, neo nazis, etc. whether they are or not. Like at the other blog, no real room to discuss this. The decision has already been made there for all the blog members.
There will be some sporadic violence that is used by the left to crack down on the ability of people to be violent.
Maybe there will be something like a subculture, anti left culture that arises out of the tea parties.
A little violence will open up a few larger cracks. I think it will be contained, but it will still do some damage.
Moral of the story is don’t be a victim, be prepared.
Sorry, if I bore people, he was a hero to me. I’ll have a lot of beer tonight. Listen to some oldes. Get drunk. Sorry, this is the only place where I know people will understand. Thanks.

Tee
They don’t make them much like that anymore, here is to your friend. God Speed!
spidly here:
Was disappeared from LGF yesterday between 6:30am and 11am. Not sure what I finally did wrong did wrong, though my sins were numerous, including a few personal feakouts. Is this Hell? Purgatory? Or are we in some dark hole gutting fish in Siberia? I’m sure that posting here will seal my fate for all time, but what the hell.
sin 1) I’m an AGW sceptikkk. Big sin at LGF these days.
sin 2) Don’t really want creationism taught in schools but don’t think evolution is the end all and be all, especially since I care more if people understand the last 5769 years than how we evolved from the primordial soup and how things came to being in those seconds after the big bang which is in itself inexplicable in my mind. I really don’t think any of it is the federal government’s business and would prefer vouchers. Probably not the sin that got me booted as I rarely commented and thought it all was just noise.
sin 3) Gun nut. I adhere to the idea that the government should be afraid of the people and not the other way around (I expect there will be more disappeared after the “Arizona gun stunt” thread). I don’t think there is an example in history that a government has disarmed its citizens without bad intentions.
sin 4) Against federally run health care. Zeke and Holdren scare the hell out of me. I don’t think “death panels” are the intent of the administration (but are the intent of some with influence within the admin). I think putting a mechanism in place that could lead to such a thing is justification enough to raise all the alarm bells in the world and more, whether you think it is hype or not. It is like hanging the Sword of Damocles over all our heads but swearing that a de-funded NASA has come up with a fibre that will never break and nobody will ever help it. I’ve read the cold calculating pieces by Holdren and Zeke, so no thanks, I’ll error on the side of caution… aside from the patently un-constitutional nature of the government health care move. But then maybe I’m a bit overly sensitive to the government deciding who lives and who dies, and I’d rather it were greedy capitalist pigs who see no colour but green.
sin 5) coulda been my last off colour Sean Penn Slamming joke that provided the justification in conjunction all with my other sins,
Still think Madonna could kick Sean’s ass any day of the week.
Who the hell knows? Cannot get a reply from Charles after 8 years on his site.
Not only is it a cult of personality, but Obama has an ego the size of Texas. He is so sure of himself it is sickening. Not an ounce of humility in him.
Hubris thy name is Obama!
re: #25 by spidly
Days are numbered, welcome to the new world…not new world order, back to when some lucky folks would eventually land in Massachussets…
Madonna/Penn, idiots both, I think the world should have charged them with mental cruelty for what they foist on us…
AGW – tough when the world is cooling
Guns belong in the hands of responsible people…and if somebody thought that they would come and stomp me for displaying my weapon…this not-yet retired “sergeant” would turn them into my own mudhole…
Rodan, your list forgot the first truly dangerous cult of personality muhammad the epileptic madman from arabia…
I will bore you one more time. Murph would like this. good night

re: #13 by tee
Did he fly the Douglas AD Skyraider? My dad (helo pilot in ‘Nam) still claims that was the best ground attack airplane ever built.
re: #25 by spidly
I remember you. You had a CZ-75 icon.
I was Colonel Panik at 1.0. Welcome!
Douglas AD Skyraider
re: #30 by The Osprey
yep. CZ75BD
I remember you though I don’t remember you being booted. I’ve been scrambling for work and absent a little more than usual… good thing we have all that stimulus, eh?
not sure what is going on over there at LGF
re: #32 by spidly
I got the stick for updinging a post by Vegas Rick. He later groveled to Chuck and got let back in.
I don’t do groveling well.
re: #32 by spidly
I think Chuck is reverting to his pre 9-11 state of ponytailed middle age hippie California liberalism.
Just talking to myself, I feel like I am living in south central.
Some guy just got stabbed at In and Out Burger across the street from me. I heard a lady screaming but kinda ignored it. Then realized it wasn’t a playful scream. I went out to investigate and but couldn’t really make out what was going on. Its 200 feet away and my eyes are tired. She was still screaming by the time I lite a smoke and made it out front. I don’t recalling seeing fighting, but I heard her yell “don’t let him get away” and I saw someone fleeing the scene, then someone yelled, put a “tourniquet on it”.
Now the eye in the sky is up, flying around my house…
re: #29 by The Osprey
The Osprey
I wish I knew, Murph could fly anything. He was still flying earlier this year. He was doing air shows. He did a few stunts just last year. The Douglas Ad was a very common Laos plane. I just know Murph few them all. He was a fixed wing pilot.
there ya go. same avatar, same spidly.
LGF has changed dramatically.
If he was one of the Air America guys in Laos they flew a lot of prop jobs. They used a lot of STOL light planes like Pilatus Porter, Helio Courier and Maule for landing on small airstrips at hilltop firebases.
re: #37 by spidly
LOL. I put CZ-75’s in a drawer and they multiply.
I have a stainless 75b, an od green frame “tactical” which is currently wearing the Kadet .22lr conversion kit, and a .40 S&W that I am having Angus Hobdell’s CZ Custom Shop make a .357 SiG barrel for and adding Novak sights.
Yeah, I like CZ’s
re: #38 by The Osprey
I wish I knew. Up until Loas fail, I know Air America was flying a lot of Hueys. I know an Air America Heuy pilot who said they were the best pilots in the world. Still not many fixed wings were there at the end.
regarding this thread:
I really wish Republicans would be screaming from the rooftops that if you wanna bang goats and mainline orange juice, it is none of the federal government’s business.
These fights should take place at the state and local level. I do not adhere to Obama’s or Zeke’s or Holdren’s version of morality and should not have to worry about how sick and twisted these individuals are.
I have enough problems here without unconstitutional intervention.
re: #39 by The Osprey
thanks for that link. I really want a .357 Sig but the shop I go to carries nothing and said “I will not sell you a gun for which you cannot get ammo”
he ended his sentence in a preposition though.
re: #34 by The Osprey
I’m liberal. Federal Leftism is the almost the exact opposite of liberal. LGF is becoming something like the “me too” elite slightly less oppressive conservative views of day gone by.
Accept their extreme premise as somewhat valid, ignore science and history, moderate your position and come to a compromise in their favour…. repeat.
re: #39 by The Osprey
i need to pop for the kadet. I use the bull barrel stainless markII every other mag to correct my errors. it would be nice to use the same gun.
I dunno… best as I can figure Charles is angling for something like Kos’ job and purging LGF to make it “centrist” enough for MSM consumption. Whatever. He’s making it a left of center echo-sphere with a mild neo-con (we don’t hate the jooos that much) site. It’s not like most of us have not been trolls on Kos and been booted for not towing the party line over there. Welcome to the acceptable left of center right.
Conservative LGF long timers. Shut up or you’re next. You can go back to the days when it was a music forum and we all condensed around national security, but it is now all for nought. it is national health care, national pension, national education, and oh yeah….. maybe the crazy arabs want to kill us….. lets discuss if we serve up the Jews first.
Charles is nothing and will never be nothing. He has never witnessed brave men die in battle, and then cover the body to be returned to the family to never be seen again as that lost child.
He surrounds himself with clowns and jokers which none of which knows the meaning of the word sacrifis Charles has never sacrified anything for anyone and neither will any of his clowns.
Good men die yet this ignigma still flurishs. I will wake up tomorrow and thing, shit wish I hadn’t said that. Too late I just hit the submit button. Worthless crap like him makes it harder each day to lose, men with conviction.
When thy bridge I cross’d,
“Tis better to have fought and lost
Than to have never have fought at all”
Charles will never cross a bridge and he will never fight a battle. Much too late.
Too many of my brother have,
Enjoy yur peace Charles. I keep losing good brothers.

Glad to know you had such a friend, as well.

Thanks, getting hopelesssly drunk. I sure will miss Murph. Hell of a pilot. 71 and gone. I kept expecting to read about him dying in a fireball. I kept telling him he was to old to fly. Then a heartacke. You would have loved him.
Hey some good news football is back in East Texas.
re: #47 by tee
I must disagree.
He has been on the right side of history for the last 8 years. certain obsessions have gotten the better of him of late. Don’t write him off. Even if he does go off into the pseudo-science netherworlds of AGW and thinks creationism is as big of a threat as 12th Imamism, I would far rather have him as the honorable opposition of the left than the current left. I wish he were representative of the left. At least there could be a discussion, even though he’s been purging LGF of small-decentralized-government-free-market-human-is-better-than-animal-all-life-is-precious-there-might-be-a-g_d-other-than-the-state-nazis like us.
I don’t know where his head is at the moment or what has made him sceptical of all things conservative. I’ve had a couple moderate friends lose their rational centrist minds over prop 8. I just have to think maybe that set him off. I’m off in my own objectivist free market fantasy devoid of a leader since Ron Paul is insane.
I can’t really get ahold of where he stands on national heath care other than he hates the “death panels.” I think they’re hyped as well, but I’m willing to use the hype to kill the possibility of the implementation of “death panels.” The same cold calculus of Zeke and Holdren has been use before, and it really makes me über-uncomfortable. – it all seemed reasonable at the time. People should know better and so should Charles.
I want decentralized government, Charles seems to entertain the idea of national stupidity for whatever reason. I’ll suffer through a statewide single payer plan and whatever else they have to throw at me here as long as as I have the option of moving and can get my wife to pack up and move to Idaho or Montana as I’d like (I hear there’s land available on Ruby Ridge to build a Schul- maybe JFPO would fund me).
I don’t think it was the fact that I was there for 8 years and have adapted to the format; I think he has the best designed blog out there. I stuck with it thru the obsessive anti-creationist threads of late, and all the other marginal BS because he has the best format out there, AND because I mistakenly thought my informed opinion was valued. It seems now it might only be a place for sycophants who’ll stick a finger in the wind, people with pseudo-intellectual limericks and no values you can pin down, and undecided platitudinous lefties protected from debate.
anyway…..
PIMF… crap, no preview

re: #60 by tee
decompress. get it all out and say what your friend was about and what he meant
The Obamanation is a narcissist and being a narcissist means never having to say you are sorry as your colossal ego and arrogance prevents you from ever even considering you can be wrong. This was amply shown when you look at GATESGATE. A Black RACIST Professor caused a problem and a Black RACIST President backed him up without even knowing the full story. Then neither of the Black RACISTS apologised and instead blamed the American People for causing the problem and cast THEMSELVES as innocent VICTIMS. Classic NARCISSISM.
Ever wonder just how much contempt the Obamanation and his ‘I hate America’ wife hold for the voters well here is a list of the 26 PEOPLE who just look after Michelle more than any other Presidents wife in history . Hows the recession treating you Michelle sista ?????
She is served by twenty-six attendants, including a hair dresser and make-up artist.
The annual cost to taxpayers for such unprecedented attention is approximately $1,750,000 without taking into account the expense of the lavish benefit packages afforded to every attendant.
Little did American voters realize the call for “change” would result in the establishment of an Obama oligarchy.
The discovery of the additional attendants was made by D’Angelo Gore of factcheck.org and by calls to Katie McCormick Lelyyeld, Michelle Obama’s press secretary.
Mr. Gore launched his investigation of the First Lady’s staff in the wake of an article that appeared on thelastcrusade.org and Canada Free Press on July 7.
The article, which became a chain letter viewed by millions of Americans, reported that Michelle Obama requires more than twenty attendants – – more than any First Lady in U.S. History. It provided the following list of White House staff members assigned to the First Lady:
1. $172,2000 – Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff)
2. $140,000 – Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady)
3. $113,000 – Rogers, Desiree G. (Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary)
4. $102,000 – Johnston, Camille Y. (Special Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the First Lady)
5. $102,000 – Winter, Melissa E. (Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
6. $90,000 – Medina, David S. (Deputy Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
7. $84,000 – Lelyveld, Catherine M. (Director and Press Secretary to the First Lady)
8. $75,000 – Starkey, Frances M. (Director of Scheduling and Advance for the First Lady)
9. $70,000 – Sanders, Trooper (Deputy Director of Policy and Projects for the First Lady)
10. $65,000 – Burnough, Erinn J. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)
11. $65,000 – Reinstein, Joseph B. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)
12. $62,000 – Goodman, Jennifer R. (Deputy Director of Scheduling and Events Coordinator For The First Lady)
13. $60,000 – Fitts, Alan O. (Deputy Director of Advance and Trip Director for the First Lady)
14. $60,000 – Lewis, Dana M. (Special Assistant and Personal Aide to the First Lady)
15. $52,500 – Mustaphi, Semonti M. (Associate Director and Deputy Press Secretary To The First Lady)
16. $50,000 – Jarvis, Kristen E. (Special Assistant for Scheduling and Traveling Aide To The First Lady)
17. $45,000 – Lechtenberg, Tyler A. (Associate Director of Correspondence For The First Lady)
18. $45,000 – Tubman, Samantha (Deputy Associate Director, Social Office)
19. $40,000 – Boswell, Joseph J. (Executive Assistant to the Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
20. $36,000 – Armbruster, Sally M. (Staff Assistant to the Social Secretary)
21. $36,000 – Bookey, Natalie (Staff Assistant)
22. $36,000 – Jackson, Deilia A. (Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady)

re: #63 by tee
I started LGF in ‘01 just after 9/11. I began posting as “spidly” full time in the time before registration in early ‘02. It is just…i dunno… crazy how thing have changed.
it’s a “never forget” crowd that has become a “f**k that” crowd that’s move on to trivial matters that require needless statist solutions.
LGF is still my home somehow. I haven’t posted anywhere else for years. It’s like I’m cheating on my dead wife. boy that’s a f**ked up analogy for me and you.
I’m not sure if the Joker-art captures the Obama essence completely, but I don’t buy the sausageinnabun this guy’s trying to sell.
Avoiding a race discussion is simply playing the expected chord.
I think that now, eight months into his term, is a perfect time to open the “socialist – racist – people too ignorant to know the difference” pandora’s box.

re: #25 by spidly
No, this is just plain old earth. Welcome. You can speak your mind here. Ideas are attacked or agreed with, not people.
re: #72 by spidly
To give you a different perspective, I posted there for only about a year, starting two years ago. It was right when Charles started opening registration on a regular basis, because I had been actively following the chatter there, and was eager to chime in.
A year later, it would be days at a stretch between topics that piqued my interests.
We don’t have these crazy Creationists running around here in Pittsburgh trying to stifle evolution. And I became, quite frankly, disgusted at the apalling disrespect for my religion (Christianity) shown at the site. I felt as though people were going WAY out of the way to bash.
In a hypocritical twist, I was banned for an angry post that advocated using lethal force as an option when dealing with illegal immigration. While I didn’t mean to imply that people should start dropping others like, RIGHT NOW, apparently it was taken that way. I don’t want to see anyone die, I just think that a line is a line, and that some take advantage more than others.
Apparently, many at 1.0 have more “open” views on immigration. I have no problem with the legal kind.
BBL–have a great day!

U2!
re: #74 by tee
no, but I only remember the prolific posters I liked most and the ones i did not like at all. Most of the guys I connected with have been banned. A few remain but are probably not long for the LGF world.
There are people that have been registered for a couple years with 60,000 posts, chatting up a load of pointless BS that are among the favoured few. I had a mere 4000 or so posts since registration in 2004 and tried to stay out of the buddy buddy politics and state my views…. when I wasn’t having personal meltdowns.
it’s a strange place now.

You are always welcome to post your opinion here. We may not agree, but you wll not be banned. The next time you write five papagraphs I might even read them.

I was alround in the old days. I don’t remember you there at 1.0 It doesn’t matter, you are welcomed here right now. Welcome.
My brother is gone, time for me to sleep.
Tee, sorry about your bud, sounds like a helluva guy!
We had better get cracking to usurp this Hussein and his 40 theives.
From the article:
“What has caused this catastrophe for the President? How did he slip so far, so fast?
One thing I can tell you is that it is not due to anything the Republicans have done so far. Having been handed the golden opportunity of a political lifetime to utterly destroy the Democrats on the health care boondoggle, cap-and-tax, and Porkulus, the GOP (aside from a few fire-eaters like Senator DeMint and Sarah Palin) seems to have timidly decided that they’re going to let it slip out of their hands. So far, the Party “leadership” hasn’t grabbed the brass ring. Instead, they seem to be poking at it slightly to see if it will bite them or not. Meanwhile, the people are hopping mad about just about everything, but are wandering around aimlessly because the Republicans, so far, have abrogated their necessary role as the effective opposition. Even despite this, the GOP is still getting a boost at the polls. Just imagine what could happen if they’d actually do something besides reach across the aisle and seek to find “common ground.”
re: #25 by spidly
Welcome to Hell! It isn’t so bad here once you get used to it
Charles is clearing out a lot of the old timers. He clearly just wanted to get rid of me and did. That’s fine, it’s his site, but I’m a little pissed he then went and made shit up about me to justify his decision. I’ll get over it.
we may not have all the ajax gee gaws over here (although those have a huge overhead that we generally never thought of), but we get by. We can edit our comments after we’ve posted them. How many times have you wished you could do that over at 1.0 over the years?

re: #78 by Bumr50
Yep. as a Jew I don’t see things on on any of these levels, but then I don’t care too much for anything but practicalities.
I’m not one to give in to the new earther guys but I do not care. Unrecorded history is less important than how we get along NOW as far as I am concerned. I Know plenty of christians, and do not know any that strictly adhere to the new earth ideology. If any of them do, and I don’t know…. I don’t care.
Anyway, I am sure that the most evangelical new earth adherent loves me more than any scientific socialist. I have better odds siding with people that share half my beliefs and want me armed, than people that tell me to disarm and trust their absolute view of science. It has been pretty fucked up for Jews every time we’ve been told to give into the state, just like everyone else for that matter.
I’ve been told at synagogue that evangelicals only want to convert me and they have ulterior motives and only want to convert the Jews, so beware… big whoop. The scientific socialist secular humanists have never wanted to convert me as it was more expedient to kill me. I’ll take a good proselytization before a firefight.
All that said, I caught shit for defending Christianity. For me, Jesus is not Christ, but good for you. I caught hell from all sides as I see illegals as our union busting-artificially high minimum wage smashing labour force who at least had strong judeo-christian values.
you see what is happening in europe?
just trying to piss everyone else off here now that i’m LGTF1.0 unfriendly.

just about every post.. but there’s something to spontaneity. The revise button should be used for typos, poorly constructed sentences and for really really big eff ups
still here but fading. gotta smoke and see where i’m at. don’t have to work ’til noon or 1 pm…

I read all paragrphs. Makes lot of sense. These issues that should be debated. Beer is gone good night.
re: #73 by Bumr50
I’m not sure that there is a race element to this particular piece. There has been some comments about the Obama-Joker being in whiteface, but that is the way the Joker has always been. That is part of the character, that he wears a mask, and it drives home the point that we don’t really know who this Obama character is behind his mask. Hope and change are meaningless without more context.
This piece certainly makes a statement about context. Stark, one word in black and white: Socialism. Above it, the face of a madman. It is powerful imagery. I’ve seen people with T-shirts of it here in Knoxville. It has gone viral in a big way. Part of the reason that the Left are so “offended’ by it is that it is an effective message against their messiah.
The people who are trying to say that “socialism” is a code-word ofor “black” are just trying to shut down opposition to their man. The real question is can you, in America today, oppose a powerful black man on political grounds and not be called a racist? The answer to that appears to be no. That is the state of the Left, the depth to which they have sunk.
The thing is, when everybody’s a racist, nobody is a racist. The charge loses its effectiveness because it has been so diluted as to be meaningless. The opposition to Obama has nothing to do with his race, and everyone knows it. But the Left want to claim that we’re all sekrit racists because we don’t blindly follow their pied piper (Oh, knoes! Pied == black?) over the cliff of socialism.
My $0.02.
re: #87 by tee
I don’t know about gymnast. I’ve pretty much quit going to LGF unless someone here mentions something that catches my interest. I haven’t seen him/her over here.
Finish that beer! It is alcohol abuse to leave half a bottle of beer undrunk
re: #72 by spidly
Spidly remember you were thrown out, my advice to folks who still post over there is not to get to comfortable or form tight relationships with others at 1.0 because you could be next.
re: #94 by davehm
I was not thrown out – that would require some sort of public ceremony.
I was disappeared without so much as a show trial. I can’t even find out of what I was accused. That’s LGF-ocracy; love it, or get a bullet in the base of the neck without warning.
Looks like O was using White House resources for political reasons, of course denying any responsibility…typical leftist, blaming others for their folly.

re: #95 by spidly
You were quietly “disappeared”
Mark Steyn being his usual intelligent self over at NRO on Death Panels.
It isn’t long, so, as they say, read the whole thing. You know, it wasn’t that long ago that Steyn was a regular feature at LGF. The Same with Victor David Hanson. Nowadays, not so much, I guess.
re: #98 by Iron Fist
Now they’re using ABC news as a source of info at 1.0
re: #99 by davehm
And Kos and Talking Points Memo. Soon to add the Huffington Post, no doubt. Can Dan Rather be far behind? All the MSM and Leftists we used to fact check are now the source. It is sad.
re: #100 by Iron Fist
We can fact check’em here
It is sad to watch LGF spin out of control.
Charles is a foolish shortsighted person. He is going to end up with no credibility at all. How could anyone on the right or left take him seriously? Or trust him? Or his opinions on anything.
Who is the real Charles but a train wreck that could jump the rails and go in any direction. He is unreliable, like a witness in a law suit who has changed his testimony too many times.
The libtards poisoning his blog will abandon him.
The few loyal conservatives are on borrowed time.
He will be left w/ the suck-ups. What a bunch of losers.
Pathetic, damaged, desperate people just wanting to belong and willing to tolerate the intolerable.
Like members of any cult.
re: #102 by chickadee
CJ is so concerned about his reputation he doesn’t realize that he destroyed it the process of trying to save it, his hated for Christ and Christians is obvious to anyone who read his blog over these past few years. It’s just the hatred of the left towards their fellow human beings and fellow citizens.
re: #102 by chickadee
You just nailed what his inner inner circle are like: losers in real life.
ot:
5 people sue Facebook over privacy laws.
per fox news..
But, even BIGGER NEWS! holy crap. Remember the Socialist Obama thing that the left has been ranting about?
The artist was revealed.
so much for it being a racist white conservative male, eh?
re: #25 by spidly
I am right there with you..My sins against the dipshit are also numerous in his mind..yet like you, there are merely poilitical beliefs.
Welcome here from another newby.
Yes, posting here is worse than saying you approve of Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin/FOX news/Atlas Shrugged all rolled into one.
He didnt have the guts to speak to me either..and I had been there since he did Rathergate. What a gutsy and compassionate leader huh?? Since he has done nothing else since except move hard to the left, I doubt he would have done Rathergate if it were Obama.
You have broken thru the ice and here you get to say what you wish, with the limits clear and without the paranoia, personal insults, and random
banning that Charles is known for.
Charles Johnson is the Arlen Specter of the blogosphere
re: #102 by chickadee
It is a bit sad..because the only real problem with 1.0 is charles himself.
Just recall that the guy says he will write a book on running an online community! What a joke… the two thickest chapters will be Chrales as a victim and banning people as a hobby

KNEEL Before Zod!
re: #105 by LanceKates
lol, so it was a phakestinian wingnut who is unhappy with Husseins “centrism?” Outstanding!
re: #92 by Iron Fist
BINGO! DINGDINGDINGDING! We have a winnah!
Excellent point Iron. We don’t know who this guy is, other than the fact that he has hobnobbed with radical socialists all his life…
re: #106 by quiet man
If we ever get rotating titles here I nominate this as the first one.
re: #95 by spidly
I was disappeared without so much as a show trial. I can’t even find out of what I was accused.
Well, whatever it was you did, I’m sure it was some horrible crime against the state.
/Charles worshipper
Spidly…
Sorry about your banning. Especially a steath banning. lgf is getting rid of the old guard one by one.
It is not the blog it once use to be.
Very sad really.
But if you wish to see exactly how extreme the bannings have been…just look here..
http://kirls.blogspot.com/2009/05/banned-monium.html
You are in good company of the banned.
I was at the first big LGF meet up in April of 2004 – I met Fist, Havoc, Atlas, all of them.
Of all the people I met that weekend, only one remains posting over there – Dianna – and I can’t figure out why she stays. I thought Chuckles would ban her when she defended the folks who attended the TEA Parties.
re: #77 by goddessoftheclassroom
no work today.
I remember you!
re: #115 by spidly
I’m glad!
re: #114 by RightWing
I tried to attend that, as I was living in the Bay Area at the time but everyone was so paranoid of infiltration by aidemyndi that I never could get proper directions to it. Where did you all meet? I drove all the f*** over Berkeley, Emeryville and Richmond to the places I thought it was at.
There was some guy who was being a real dickhead on lgf, one of the organizers, who thought he was mister security chief who I could not get the address out of. It wasn’t any of the names you mentioned. I was “Colonel Panik” at LGF and had been a lurker since 9-11 and registered since around the time of Rathergate.
We met at the Scott’s Restaurant in Jack London Square. For fun, we hinted that we were going to be at the Chevy’s in Emeryville and Zombie stationed herself there to see if anyone showed up. Actually, there were blogs like KOS and DU that were – I kid you NOT – showing photos of Fist with his LGF colors and saying that we were planning to “invade” Berkeley like a gang and go marauding through the streets with weapons. Yeah, some real sane speculation there.
I’m sorry you missed it. Maybe LGF2.0 can continue the tradition.
Oh, and I was Carolina Girl. Over there.
re: #118 by RightWing
I remember you! We chatted a few times about NC as that is where I was born and spent my childhood years. IIRC you worked in SF.
Yes, I went to the Chevy’s in Emeryville. I remember walking into the bar and looking for people with “lizard” badges. Didn’t see any. Didn’t see Zombie but then I would not have recognized her anyway. Then for some reason I thought everybody might have gone to some seafood place in the yacht harbor at Richmond, so I drove up there. Nyet. Then I drove home, somewhat miffed, as I lived in the South Bay, and HATED East Bay traffic and that whole BayBridge/Berkeley/Emeryville HWY 80 clusterf***. I guess Mister Total Security (wish I could remember this dickhead’s nic) did a real good job of keeping lefties out if the Kosniks and DUmmies got pics of everyone. LOL.
Well, if you all want to do a 2.0 meetup here in Phoenix I am a member of Scottsdale Gun Club and get visitor passes to the range. You can bring your own shootin’ irons or rent from the range (including full auto!- can’t do that in CA!) or borrow some of mine. We can go to Four Peaks afterward…a local brew pub. Plenty of good restaurants in Scottsdale.
re: #119 by The Osprey
Yep, work in S.F., and while I used to wanna go back to NC, I hear it’s changed so much. I’m thinking Tennessee now. Racing at Bristol, baybee!
We’ve considered taking a vacation down in AZ – I just might take you up on it. I’m now up to three short and one long gun – a .40 Taurus millenium, a .22 (that Flyboy bought and now I can’t remember who makes it) and a .45 Long Colt. Flyboy’s got an arsenal.
Man, I’m sorry you went hither and yon
