LGF Purges reveals the Totalitarian nature of Progressives

There has been a purge of Conservatives/Libertarians over at the Radical Totalitarian Progressive Blog: Little Green Footballs. The blog, which was once a place where the Right was welcomed, used to focus on islamo-Fascism and the Liberal Loony left. Now it has become part of the Transnational Totalitarian Progressive Machine. The blog owner, washed up jazz guitarist Charles “Icarus” Johnson, is openly supporting the Neo-Fascist organization named Colors of Change. This totalitarian group is trying to have Glenn Beck banned and Charles is supporting them.

282 Charles 8/14/09 10:17:52 am reply quote

Color of Change is a group I probably wouldn’t agree with very much, but for this campaign to make Glenn Beck’s advertisers aware of what they’re supporting, they get a big thumbs up from me. This is the consequence of the irresponsible hate speech that Beck spews on his show.

This comment alone reveals the totalitarian and fascist nature of Progressives. They seek to silence all that oppose them. It is bad enough that Charles bans posters for flimsy reasons, but he also seeks to silence in real life those whose views he doesn’t like.

The purge that is occurring was leaked and one of our regular commentators, Speranza, found out and warned us.

re: #7 by Iron Fist

I heard through the grapevine that a major purge is in the works over at LGF 1.0.

He was right and since this announcement many have been banned and some like Island Libertarian, Iron Fist, Coldwarrior and others have come here to freely express their Rightwing views. I welcome all who are banned from LGF here and appreciate their input. To the remaining Conservatives/Libertarians, you are welcomed here and will enjoy the company of old friends.

I am focused on the evil nature of the Progressive Movement and it is good that posters here see that threat as well. Charles can run his blog his way, it is his playground. However, he is stepping over the line by advocating silencing Glenn Beck and others he disagrees with. His banning on dubious grounds just reinforces my point that Progressives can’t stand dissent and debate. That is the only reason I write about Icarus. He has joined the Progressive machine and that makes him a fair target.

That blog should be renamed Liberal Green Losers!

This is also an Open thread.

Very true. If you look how the current president attained his early offices, it was not by winning the political debate, he won by clearing the field of his opponents. Statists cannot win an open debate in a free society, they have to first villify and destroy their political enemies.

The thing about the purges – the more I have gotten to know the people who have left, either through bannings or disgust, the more I get to know the amazing, wonderful, intelligent, experienced people who made the comments threads interesting and informative. I have seen people help each other, with all manner of questions and problems, help offered where it need not have been. I saw it happen in the Lounge. And I have seen it continue with the people who are here now. When I see it happen, I marvel at what he has thrown away over there. And I wonder why.

The other thing is the shock and amazement people feel when they are unjustly banned and have no ability to defend themselves, or say goodbye to those they ‘got to know’ over there. It’s one reason why there is such joy here when old friends show up, and the comments flow fast and heavy, agreements and disagreements freely expressed. It’s fun and it is raucous. And thank you.

And, to the newcomers, join us in the Blogmocracy “Lounge” click on the Table 9 link in the sidebar here, and don’t forget to add your name to the List of the Banned here. 903 Banned, and counting, and those are just the ones we know about. Spread the word, some of us are still spread to the four winds, and it’ll be good to at least touch bases with some of the missing.

Maybe Schmuckie has never gotten over Glenn fighting back against Schmuckie’s smear of Beck as regards some woman opponent in Beck’s audience. Schmuckie thought it was one of Beck’s supporters and unfairly blasted Beck on Johnson’s error.

Instead of apologizing for his goof, Schmuckie whined about Beck fighting back against him. Glenn Beck is a punk — a punk; etc. Schmuckie’s meltdown over the incident cannot be ignored and may have contributed to his desire to see Glenn banned.

  25. 25 | August 16, 2009 5:44 am

Rodan, this “…Johnson is openly supporting the Neo-Fascist organization named Colors of Change” seems like a bit of a stretch.

Supporting a particular position doesn’t mean one supports an organization. For example, I can agree with you guys about a given economic policy (and generally do, I’m what you might call a free market Progressive Leftie)while detesting what I perceive as an anti-gay bias on the part of many.

As usual, you paint with too broad a brush.

As far as Beck goes, calling for a campaign targeting his advertisers isn’t quite the same as silencing him. He is free to say whatever he likes. We are free to change the channel or boycott a product. That is the market at work and Beck will have his soapbox only as long as it is profitable for Fox.

Sure, Johnson’s a dick. But he’s your dick and we don’t want him. Believe it or not, there are a few of us over here on the left side of the aisle who value integrity, loyalty and consistency.

Well you have the usual suspects who want to shut up conservative speech and I can’t think of any rightwing/conservative organizations that want to silence leftwing/progressive speech, there lies a huge difference, the libs can’t win the argument so they try to silence the truth by banning conservative posters, shouting over others during debate and trying to have others taken off the air.

That drives me crazy. They’ll blame the banks too. ANYBODY except for themselves.

ARMS were designed for people who did not have the credit scores to get a reasonable fixed rate, and the ARM gave them time to get their issues worked out and refinance.

The only ones in an ARM that I feel sorry for are the ones that can’t refinance because the values have dropped.

There is no candidate out there whom you will agree with 100% of the time, after all do not forget they are politicians. Ronald Reagan gave out the first amnesty to illegals in 1986 – did you agree with that?

I totally understand the behavioral changes we’ve witnessed happen to Charles Johnson, and others.

Charles Johnson et. al. understand that the Totalitarian Left is now in control, actively consolidating their power, and as such will probably be at the top of the heap for many years to come, perhaps even decades.

As a result, they’ve come to the realization that, if they don’t immediately cease speaking out against the Left, mocking Leftists for their hypocrisies, exposing their alignments with radical groups like the Islamofascists, La-Raza, Code Pink, Communist Party of America (whose manifesto, btw, the Left wholly adopted), to name a few, and don’t immediately stop trying to uncover the Left’s real agenda for America and the world, then they’re going to be targeted by very powerful people in this Administration and their agents and gov’t bureaucrats (like the ex-felon who is now “Diversity Czar” the FCC), and eventually shut down.

In many cases, closing them down will terminally impact their ability to make a living by doing what they do on the internet. Yes, threats DO work… just ask any union thug or mafia member.

And as the heat is gradually being turned up on popular rightwing blogs by the Administration in an effort to get them to shut-up or face the consequences, we’re going to see more and more purges on such sites in an effort by site operators to garnish favor with the fascists in power.

Pity… As those of us who have studied our history know all too well that such people can never be appeased. We know this for the simple reason that they, like schoolyard bullies, view appeasement as signs of cowardice and weakness and just more evidence of your vulnerability to even more threats, coercion, strong-arm tactics, and the like, which the Left see no problem in employing against anybody including their own.

Whereas, those who openly resist such intimidation tactics by the Left and continue to speak out against them – including those of us who dare post comments, would rather go down swinging…

But, I fear, we all may still go down nonetheless as the Fascist Left continues to consolidate their power while the mainstream media looks entirely the other way while openly mocking those who dare speak up.

Charles Johnson et al., have probably already been “visited” by Federal Agents or have otherwise been spoken to in no uncertain terms in this regard. Either that or they clearly see the writing on the wall and hence are now openly choosing sides while they still can.

We saw this same behavior happen in Germany circa 1938 and in Italy shortly thereafter when the Nazi Party and the Fascist Party, respectively, finally managed to come into power and started threatening people as they consolidated that power. And it worked! Those who didn’t shut-up, disappeared.

First Lady Requires more than 20 Attendants

Don’t you think it is time to call, write, fax, email voicing your displeasure at the waste in government spending?
There has never been anyone in the White House at any time that has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady’s social life. One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary
only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President’s own pocket.
Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and “First Hairstylist” Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe…Recession??, Depression??,
    What, Michelle Worry?

    Dr. Paul L. Williams

“In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much, she said. “See, that’s why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service, ” Michelle Obama
No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn’t perform any official duties. But this hasn’t deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession or Great Depression. Just think Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary. How things have changed! If you’re one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Miz Michelle are the sameas members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by John Q. Public:

    1. $172,2000 – Sher, Susan (Chief Of Staff)
    2. $140,000 – Frye, Jocelyn C. (Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Policy And Projects For The First Lady)

    9. $70,000 – Sanders, Trooper (Deputy Director of Policy and Projects for the First Lady)
    10. $65,000 – Burnough, Erinn J. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)
    11. Reinstein, Joseph B. (Deputy Director and Deputy Social Secretary)
    12. $62,000 – Goodman, Jennifer R. (Deputy Director of Scheduling and Events Coordinator For The First Lady)
    13. $60,000 – Fitts, Alan O. (Deputy Director of Advance and Trip Director for the First Lady)
    14. Lewis, Dana M. (Special Assistant and Personal Aide to the First Lady)
    15. $52,500 – Mustaphi, Semonti M. (Associate Director and Deputy Press Secretary To The First Lady)
    16. $50,000 – Jarvis, Kristen E. (Special Assistant for Scheduling and Traveling Aide To The First Lady)
    17. $45,000 – Lechtenberg, Tyler A. (Associate Director of Correspondence For The First Lady)
    18. Tubman, Samantha (Deputy Associate Director, Social Office)
    19. $40,000 – Boswell, Joseph J. (Executive Assistant to the Chief Of Staff to the First Lady)
    20. $36,000 – Armbruster, Sally M. (Staff Assistant to the Social Secretary)
    21. Bookey, Natalie (Staff Assistant)
    22. Jackson, Deilia A. (Deputy Associate Director of Correspondence for the First Lady)
This adds up to $1,216,200 and the salary list is not complete. Note who wrote the story not the U.S. press, but the Canadian Free Press. Kudos to them! Copyright 2009 Canada Free Press.Com

If this is the case then why are we not seeing behavior like Chuckle’s happening at other conservative blogs, like Atlas, Michelle Malkin, Powerline, AceOfSpades etc. etc.? I see no evidence of that. Chuckles is the only Conservative blog I am aware of that has turned dramatically left.

I think you are overestimating their power. Would they like to shut down conservative media? Sure, but they can’t get away with that kind of internet purge without provoking major resistance. Look at the turnout on the Right over Health Care. If they try shutting down Conservative media people will really get pissed. I think Chuckles is merely reverting to his pre 9-11 liberal-lefty Californy musician self. The pressure, if any, is coming from his peers in the music and entertainment and blogging biz in LA.

He’s tired of being an outcast and not getting invited to the cool kids parties. Plus, as a white musician who always hung out with black musicians, I think he feels the tug of white guilt when he or others on his blog criticize Obama, and has an exaggerated fear of Southerners, “white nationalists” (Vlaams Belaang, anyone?) and “militia groups”. Witness his pimping of scare stories from the “Southern Poverty Law Center”, some of which were recently debunked on other Conservative blogs.

    #104 The Osprey,

Hitler and Mussolini didn’t start off either trying to intimidate and coerce everybody all at once. No. Instead they were selective at first.. seeking out the weak and vulnerable, sharpening their tactics, learning what worked and what didn’t.

As their political enemies started to comply, they increased their efforts in terms of both depth and breadth.

Team Obama has only been in power for 6 months. They’ve still got 3 1/2 years ahead. Lot’s to do! And they’ve got an entire Judiciary to stack with sycophants, ideologues, and cronies, so their tactics of coercion and intimidation can be rubber-stamped as entirely constitutional. What we are witnessing is just the beginning.

We’ve seen this all play itself out in history. And the ending is usually bloody as freedom-loving peoples make the greatest sacrifice to restore the very freedoms for subsequent generations that they once enjoyed for themselves.

Watch as more media sites of all kinds turn Left for no apparent reason (other than for the sake of self-preservation).

Pony Tail Boy is also still spreading the lie that Beck believes there are “FEMA camps.” Beck, of course, devoted several shows to debunking that myth.

For me, Chuckles’ Jihad against Robert Spencer was the last straw. As with most leftists, Chuckles is incapable of intellectual honesty or even telling truth from falsehood.

    re: #104 by The Osprey
You are correct in your assessment of the attitude of the LA music crowd, from my observations.
A few days ago I visited with Lisa Loeb. She is married and pregnant now, and was in town to visit her parents. Lisa, who I’ve known for a couple of years, really is a sweet and gentle young lady, and as long as we discuss music, all is well. However, the few times she has talked about other things, her firm and unchallenged LA/NY type liberalism is evident.
Once, a few years ago, I mentioned to her that actors/musicians shouldn’t use their stage to express their political views. This at a time when it was common for major music acts to take time on stage to attack President Bush and the GWOT. She thought it was important for them to do so, but admitted they had to travel a very fine line. I stated my disagreement, that most people that buy a ticket(s) for a concert, they are going to have a great time, enjoy the music, party with friends, and forget their troubles for a little while, and that most of them work hard for the money that buys those tickets. The last thing any of them need or want is to hear someone lecture them, instead of entertaining them.
She was thoughtful, and we quickly changed subjects, and talked about other things.
The LA music scene is pretty much monolithic in its political leanings.

Yeah, we’re stupidly outrageous sabra.Ever hear of people who live in glass houses? What kind of nic is American Sabra? Are you one of cjs Court Jews who thinks the Islamic call to morning prayer is delicious?

Yes that bitch was one of those who thought the Islamic call to prayer was beautiful and girlie man Killgore Trout thought so to.

    Hello everyone!!

I was banned this weekend along with 8 other people..All of whom gone for daring to be a conservative and oppose charles’s minions or one of his pet peeves. My crime?? I am a Palin supporter who doesn’t think Bill O’reilly killed Tiller. Of the other banned..all were done so for very little things such as saying they like Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugged or that going after Palin for her death panel remark was the most important thing in the debate. One was banned for suggesting force might be used asd of him, charles was right to ban him…I and the rest merely crossed that self perceived rino god.

I generally ignored Charles and his asskissing friends Sharmuta, talon262 and Jimmah’s trailer-trashing crappola, but the latest grand conspiracy theory is just too damned full of “black-helicopter” paranoia to pass without comment….So I did, so they did and now they are banned for it.

See, Charles is too busy policing everybody else to be bothered with his own hypocrisy… He never debates his ideas..he just defends them like the mullahs of Iran defend what they do. Fairness, honesty, equality are unknown if one crosses into the zone of Charles pet peeves.

Now to speak tp charles directly:

Charles, For a limp-dicked moron with delusions of grandeur, you sure spend a lot of time writing lame insults in political posts that really aren’t worth speaking to. No wonder you spend so much time as head policeman of a site where your “virtual” self can pretend to compensate for your piss-poor competence in reality and adored by your drooling 3 idiots.

well..after I am so many others were banned in so short a time..I started looking for where the banned went..and after reading a lot of posts saying the exact same thing I am, Ifound this place.

Like many others, I exlained my comments and asked to be allowed to return..3 times I asked very nicely…each time wondering if it were worth it, knowing Charles was on my case.
He will down ding all your posts in an entire thread if you dare cross him..naturally followed by Sharmuta, Jimmah, and talon262.

This is funny..on my last thread..Jimmah was down dinging me but was not speaking in the thread he was doing it to me in. I went to the pointless advertising threaq he was speaking in and down dinged him there..so the idiot comes running in crying about my down dinging him in a different thread being bad, but his doing it was okay…Too stupid to comprehend that is exactly what he did to me.
The usual mindless fools down dinged me for pointing that out.

    Typical, huh??

So here is my last post to Charles for your amusement:

Since we cannot be friends anymore, I guess we shall be enemies. I have little choice but to join the other banned people..and I will have to go there and tell my story of your personal attacks and insults against myself for daring to oppose one of your pet peeves. I guess I will mention the other 7 or 8 you have banned this weekend and why you banned them, how you treated them and the insults you said about them in public. I will mention that you did not have the decency to contact me at all…to investigate what you instantly called racism and the others you gave a pass to who were doing the very same thing. I will have to speak of just how thin skinned you are and how your ego cannot take the slightest critisism or defiance.
You are one who cannot defend what you say against any true stand and come off like Obama saying he won when you point out who owns the site.

I will speak of how much you have changed to the left from the days of rathergate. How you say you are no longer part of the republican party and your tacit embrace of the far left.

Think that post will end up on his weblog??
    laughs

No. But you did get this….

    421 Charles
    8/17/09 8:52:09 am reply quote 6downupfavoritereport

By the way, after he posted a blatantly bigoted comment, I banned “quiet man” this weekend. He has just emailed to tell me how much he hates me, and that he’s going to be “exposing” me at the stalker site now.

And ends his stupid hate mail with “bless your heart.”

    Welcome to this blog.

Who were the others who where banned?

For fun..here are the words of Charles Himself, doing what he does best:

That’s right! As soon as you turn 60, the Obama death squads are going to land on your roof in their black helicopters, rappel down the side of your building, kill you by withholding medical attention, then haul you off and throw you in a FEMA death camp. Then kill you again. Then brainwash you.

    ***
Let me be very very clear about this. I’m not saying Obama’s death squads will haul you in front of a death panel. That’s absurd. No one believes such a thing.

But they’re coming for you. Be afraid.

    ***

That’s ridiculous. I never said Obama’s death panels would be slaughtering large numbers of senior citizens, and anyone who says I did is trying to smear me and is probably a plant or a RINO.

    ***

Heh. It’s Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin starring in “Road to Euthanasia,” co-starring Bing Crosby and Murvyn Vye.

To Apache Gunner he said “Get off my website!”

To Walter L. Newton he threatened:

You know, Walter, I’m really beginning to think you might be happier with your own blog. Have you considered starting one? It takes about five minutes, and then you can control what’s posted, without having to play passive aggressive games with me.

To father of 10; “I’ll make it easier for you to avoid being bothered by me and my “gibbering sycophants” by removing your account.

    No need to thank me!

And with that, you no longer have an LGF account. Bye now!”

    and this exchange is illustrative:
    “The crime:”

    889 Trudger
So does this mean that Sarah Palin doubled down… and won?

    the charles:
    re: #889 Trudger

Bye now. Nice collection of sock puppets there.

The paranoid charles is always hunting for any reason to toss a conservative out…so they all are sockpuppets, racists, or somehow the worst people on the net in his flawed mind

    re: #131 by Lily

Thank you for your welcome of me…I didnt say I hated him..but then of course he has to demonize me to p[rotect his own tissue thin ego..My comment that he believes was racially biased was a quote from Bored of the rings..Cato the elder and a couple of others were speaking in eubonics…so I said
“sho kin dance” which is the quote..I did explain this to charles, but he didnt have the snarklies to respond to me.

At least i know he actually saw what I wrote.

Thise who were banned were trudger, father of 10, apache gunner,

I am not sure who else as the asshole has forbidden me from looking.

I bet he is steaming, tho

I have read your comments quiet man….they were polite. I feel that Walter Newton has a target on his back.

Plus I thought you had one on your back too.
On some threads I would see the gang up on you I would have to click to see if you were not banned.

    Safe place here. :)

yup “m”…the place became much more uglier in tone. My way or the highway there.
The Christian bashing was just too much for me.
Not to mention the massive bannings of decent people…mama winger for one. She simply said that Song and Dance Man was her friend.
In no time at all ….banned.

    and lily

You all are smarter than I am on that score. I bit my tongue instead of standing up and calling foul and stayed even with the bad taste in my mouth.

When Apache Gunner was banned, I was in the thread
along with others…no one said a word…no one dared say a word even tho it was obvious that he didn’t say anything too horrible. I couldnt find his exact transgression against Charles, the “Arlen Specter” of the blogosphere.

And Charles always acts as if he is the victim when someone comes here…He did a dying swan act for me today
