Bumr50 has words for Dr. Zogby

I found this statement at Politico from Dr. James Zogby,President,Arab American Institute:

If we are all not careful, and Republican leadership does not undertake an effective challenge of their hate-fringe, we could soon be in the throes of a full-fleged nativist siege. The most disturbing moment, in the now infamous Mike Castle town meeting “birther” rant video, came at the very end. “Crazy Eileen”, the ranter, having made clear her American credentials, while challenging those of the President’s, calls on the applauding audience to stand and join her in pledging allegiance to “her” flag. The audience, including the podium’s dignitaries rise and, following “Crazy Eileen’s” dictat, put hands to heart and swear allegiance. I was reminded of similar incidents that occurred in 1919 at the beginning of the “Red Scare”. Then, too, a nativist movement fueled by fears of immigration and war-time anti-”foreign” bigotry got out of control with fatal consequences. With Rush, Sean, Mike, Ann, Michelle and Lou fueling fears and stoking resentments, and with GOP leaders winking and nodding encouragement to what the now call “their base”, we could all in be for a difficult and dangerous time. (And beware my Republican friends, the fires you now feed will burn you too.)

Is this a threat from the Arab American Institute to Republicans? How evil is the parenthesis? And how dare Dr. Zogby compare the plight of the birthers to the Red Scare?

I am not now, nor have I ever been a birther. Do I find it ridiculous that a grown man representing the free world allows this to continue by not showing us his birth certificate? Of course! Do I think that there’s a possibility that he may not technically be qualified to be President? Again, why not show us. I really don’t care, though. I know he’s a liar and an opportunist and I don’t need this controversy to remind me.

The real problem I have with this statement is the “framing” (American Thinker, 8/2/2009) that’s becoming commonplace among the liberal media of Republicans, conservatives, and anyone opposed to the Obama administration as unAmerican. How ironic that Dr. Zogby uses the Red Scare as an analogy when there are actual statists taking over the country. At the heart of the matter is Obama’s unofficial status as an American and where his true loyalties lie.

And then there’s the inflammatory term nativist. Yes, I am a native. Yes, Yes, I belong to a movement that is afraid of unchecked illegal immigration and an Islamic population that wishes to impose it’s own set of laws on the society in which I live and refuses to distance itself from it’s jihadist tendencies. Who have we killed Dr. Zogby? Fatal consequences?

Then again this is coming from a man who has trouble with simple math (the Investigative Project on Terrorism,6/20/2009).

At the heart of the matter is Obama’s unofficial status as an American and where his true loyalties lie

That is more of a concern to me than whether he was technically born on American soil. The most that can happen with that, the most, is that congress will release a “sense of Congress” bill or memorandum declaring him to be a “native born American”.

That is it. No one is going to even try to remove an elected President on such a technicality. Personally, I’m sure there is nothing there, but I understand why Obama doesn’t end the controversy. If anyone gains from this it is Obama. People who otherwise might intelligently be opposing his administration and its drive toward socialism are instead distracted with this nonsense. He’ll let them waste their time and energy on it through both his administrations if he can, and he’ll laugh at it all the while.

Where Obama’s loyalities lie, though, is another question. He has a vision for America, a vision that he has dared not make cear to the American people. Using the thought of “hope” and “change” he has disguised his aims, and they are not for the good of the nation. Not if you think of the good of the nation being a prosperous America with a rising standard of living for the common American. He has said it himself, that Americans shouldn’t be able to do as they please, but should instead be constrained by world opinion.

Would that John McCain would have attacked him, and attacked him hard on that issue, but hard attack was apparently not part of McCain’s strategy for winning the Presidency. We see how well that worked out for him.

First of all, Zogby, you dingus, I’m neither a Republican or your friend. The only fires I anticipate being careful around, are piles of korans burning.

That this person would liken the swelling tide of Americans using the system to take back control of this great nation threatens him, shouldn’t be surprising. He and the propagandist on the left have been having a merry old time since Howard Dean showed them how politically savvy it was to use the anti-war sentiment to regain power. Now that he and they see it slipping away, and real Americans making demands to restore our founding principles, they want us to back off, and conjure up scary moments in history to embarrass us.
For your 411, Zogby, you single purpose tool, the Red Scare wasn’t a scare, it was a purposeful attack on the very foundation of our republic, as we are witnessing the fruition of that decades old strategy.
Begone with your 5xdaily head-banging nonsense. America doesn’t need you to remain a decent and moral country.

P.S. Since you are on such good terms with Hussein of La Casa Blanca, tell him to show his COLB.

See, that’s the thing. The Government (pick a level) requires us to use the birth certificate in so many ways. Registering for school. Getting a new job. Everybody has to do something like this not once, but many times in their lives. Barry just took a new job, the highest one in fact. Him showing us his birth certificate shouldn’t bother him, considering how honest and truthful he’s been with us so far. Right?

I couldn’t agree more. The right, however, is perfectly capable of multi-tasking: we can keep on the attack over Zero’s policies and we can also nag him to cough up the friggin’ long-form birth certificate! After all, we had to listen to eight years of “selected, not elected” over George W. Bush.

I want to see the school records. You would think the most brilliant man to ever have held the office of the POTUS would want to show us all how truly gifted he is, right?

Welcome Iron Fist. More and more are seeing the light.

Zogby takes a leaf out of the Chompsky playbook. Answer an embarrassing question with character damaging innuendo and throw in a huge lie. That was nobody will question one’s words. After all how would someone lie so barefaced? Therefore it must be the truth.

These islamists & neo-marxist’s have no shame!

Ahh, here we are again with more folks calling for the Repubilcan party to (continue to) move to the left and cast off such RADICAL ‘Right-Wingers’ as Rush.

Hell, one of my beefs with Rush was that he supported the Republican Party too much in the 90’s, and didn’t seem to critique them enough when they went liberal.

What is REALLY happening is that the left is seeing that the Republican party is distancing itself from Conservatives and so it is demanding that it move more quickly.

The Left would love it if the only choices for any public office were Leftists and Communist.

But continue to sleep, America. Continue to believe that this is all the fault of Conservatives. Continue to bash Conservatives and berate conservatives and try to bully conservatives into supporting liberals……

Alas I live in a country where the choices are to vote for either a ….. Conservative Socialist (basically a do nothing administration who panders to it’s fellow travelers in the good times and makes leftist social policy to keep the crazies on the far left happy). OR Vote Socialist Conservative. ( Financially conservative and canny economically, usually in power when times are bad and the economy actually needs strong smart leadership. BUT they are also socially left to pander to the liberals who inhabit the fringes of the party.)

There is in fact NO CHOICE

Right now the former leftist labour party administration pandered to the neo-Marxist green and made it illegal to smack a child. The new ‘conservative’ government (but socially leftist) didn’t change the legislation. There was a forced referendum and it appears that 78% will support the decriminalization of this law BUT the so called conservative Prime Minister has already said that he will not listen to the people as he knows best and anyway he’s much too busy fixing the economy.

The sheer arrogance of the bastard!

The Brits have the same problem. The left has infiltrated the conservative parties and moved the boundary a long way to the left. Thus disenfranchising many on the right!

A Pox on both their houses!

Yet they keep doing it. And when conservatives speak up, they resort to calling them names, then holding their hands over their ears and screaming “LALALALALALALALA I CAN”T HEAR YOU!”

    Then lose another election.

    Then blame conservatives.

    again.

What I would love to see is a movement within each state to mandate that presidential candidates be fully vetted and display full proof of citizenship, including but not limited to: full form birth certificate, and and all school and travel recrods, etc. Since Constitutionally, each state determines who can be on the ballot, it would be interesting to see how Barry and the folks on the hill would react to such a movement. I think that would be much more profitable than trying to ascertain currently what the citizenship is. Make it a factor for the reelection. Display proof, or no name on the ballot.

I agree though, that the main issue here is where his loyalties lie. Regardless of if he is a legal natural born citizen, or not, his loyalties do not lie with the values and ideals of America, but rather with those who would love to see us fall.

    re: #18 by GootoYoubywayoftheZoo

If the idea is to get rid of Obama (though I don’t know that Biden would be better, just more ignorant), if he isn’t a native born citizen, that’d be MUCH easier to pull off than trying for any sort of “His loyalties are not with the United States” angle.

I don’t know if he was legally born here or not, he was given a muslim education for the most formative years, then was raised by rich family members in Hawaii, then went on to a rich person’s school, then became a rich lawyer, then a rich state congressman, then a rich federal congressman, then a rich president.

one thing he does NOT understand is poverty. And he’ll never have to.

He’s part of the Elite. And the dumbed down masses celebrate him.
