Can’t watch – hate the sound and cadence of his voice.

I hear no one raised a hand with a question, but he has his list of already scripted questions and answers….

How do you come up with this stuff?

I figure he is addressing the millions of Americans watching the press conference — kinda hard for the ‘biased’ media to spin his words when we can all hear them in context.

We here in NM are behind the times. The lefties did introduce law that bans cell phone use in a car, (ala CA) but it is not enforced.

The left here are more silly than serious in their lawmaking endeavors.

It’s the Cops, I tells ya. I would have a hard time enforcing a law I myself break.

I see all the time the Law ring ding dinging up on their cell phones. That may play a part on the un-enforcement.

It is a null law n these parts, even though it was legislated by clearly lefty curmudgeons.

“This isn’t about me. I have great health insurance. This isn’t about Congress, they have great health insurance.” – Obama

This is about you and your administration making sure that ONLY you and Congress have great healthcare.

He says the government-run healthcare will promote choice…. since it squeezes out all competition, he must mean abortion and ‘assisted suicide’.

Why doesn’t anyone in Washington discuss the Unconstitutional nature of such a bill? Even the republicans just talk about the cost.

No one in washington cares, they just want the money and power. The 13 colonies cast off England for that same thing. 7 states (quickly followed by 4 more to make 11 total) cast off the Union for the same thing (though they didn’t win that time.)

Where do YOU draw the line?

  49. 49 | July 22, 2009 7:44 pm

Obama is a fraudulent, sidestepping piece of political bullshit.

With that said here is a Iowahawkish take on Obamacare that is pretty funny.

Hawaii was even worse than Los Angeles about smoking. At the hotel I stayed at, the security guard explained to me that I was 1 whole foot outside the smoking area. I was willingly compliant, but noticed all the other people laughing at the 1 foot fact. The airport had the smoking patrol also.

I got busted a few times.

  51. 51 | July 22, 2009 8:03 pm

    re: #49 by bar

    25 foot rule, eh?

I don’t have a problem with a property owner making that rule, but the government, not even the state, has a right to tell you where and how to smoke a cig.

    REALLY not their job.

But, I guess I should just get used to that not mattering.

I could not watch it – he causes me indigestion. Plus, it is the same old crap sandwich to quote the venerable Ms. Malkin. We are supposed to eat it without ever being asked what the sandwich is actually made with…I also cannot comprehend how he gets away with promoting legislation he has never bothered to read…

That isn’t what I said at all. What I was referring to was Rodan’s contention that he was speaking to the “Government Run Media”.

    #23:
You are entirely correct. I don’t have the free time to comment very much — I would like to, but have this unfortunate need to feed my kids.

Every once in awhile something catches my eye and I comment — unfortunately the only thing shorter than my leisure time is my attention span.

  60. 60 | July 23, 2009 5:20 am

By the way, even the normally prostrate AP found it necessary to Fact Check Obama’s Ass because of the lies he tried to pass off in the press conference.

He lied about keeping the Government out of health care decisions.
He lied about not attacking Republicans.
He lied about OcamaCare not adding to the deficit.

I was watching Startgate SG1 and then two episodes of the Torchwood Children of Earth miniseries (Episode 4 is on tonight)

I figured I’d have the soundbytes today, but even then it didn’t matter. Such a healthcare plan is unconstitutional and I refuse to listen to any of what he has to say until he provides the case for the federal government having the right to control and fund healthcare in light of the 9th Amendment giving nonlisted rights to the individual and the 10th Amendment RESTRICTING the federal government with an inability to do anything not SPECIFICALLY listed.

Bush was AWOL; but the documents should have been checked and then double checked before the story was aired. I think the entire thing was a set up.

    Then they pile on…

Now, personally, I don’t quote have an opinion, but definately don’t necessarily support “Eneri’s” opinion. However, the complete shut down is a bit much. I was also quite shocked that so many people would to to check that site when ordered to do so by “mandy manners”. Then lastly, I have to wonder what it matters if this person is “down-dinged”. Let’s say he is dinged down 500 points….so what? Does this trigger a banning or something?

Well, overall, G-d forbid that someone have a different opinion. /
