That is excellent. Though not wholly believable. I don’ find that lefties accept.

They get to the point where you are written off and they continue to believe what they are told to believe.

Or, for far too many, they don’t mind crappy care (and even welcome it for the ‘rich’ out of a cultivated hatred of those who succeed) as long as they can spend money on stupid crap instead of being responsible.

    This thing on?

Here’s a good one to start the day.
    For Mature Audiences Only.

But if Mr. Obama’s policies are losing support, why is he personally still popular? It is because immature people commonly identify with a charismatic pop figure. Consequently, any criticism of that pop figure seems to his fans as criticism of them. In their adolescent minds, Obama voters simply are defending themselves.

I agree with LK. The east coast leftists I know are so resistant to the truth they will not even consider any information which expose the facts.I’ve witnessed one or two meltdown with infantile rage when offerred an opposing view. Totally hope-less and no longer engaged by me,bad for the high blood pressure.

Example: I call my leftist rep Joe Courtney to express a view on XYZ. His standard reply(paraphrase): I disagree and its the fault of the Bush Administration.

Democrats Want to Teach You to Die With Dignity.

That would be Section 1233 of H.R. 3200, the ObamaCare House bill.

    vagabond trader,
I’ve got to hit the shower.
Don’t know where the morning shift is, but you might want to fire up the coffee pot. That might arouse their interest.
    Have a good’un.

Morning n2! Love AT and this one is a keeper.Yup, extended adolescence, exactly. So tedious dealing with these 40 year old bedwetters. My patience ended the day an ex friend decided it was unsafe to bring her 9 year old over because, gasp, there may be firearms at the manor. She also accused ME of drinking “the kool aid.”

You a troofer, never! lol, note to self, choose nomenclature veddy carefully around these Texan conservative types.

Maybe they’d quit and declare victory if we convinced the Air Force to finally stage that “bake sale” they’re always hoping for on their bumpers.

I think it’s also a matter of laziness. It’s a lot easier to be told what to think than to actually think. It leaves a lot more time for the narcissism and materialism that define today’s pop culture.

It’s amazing the the bad rap that objectivism and individualism get for being “selfish” modes of thought and living, while it’s been proven time and again that collectivism is by far the greater cause of suffering.

It’s the epitome of arrogance to believe that you are somehow “post-historic,” and unbound from the lessons of the past.

    Scary.

it isn’t that they think they’re beyond it. They just don’t care enough to even listen to it.

They don’t know history. Just the snapshots and chapter headings in their middle school (overly-biased) history books.

That’s why it prevails today that the civil war was over slavery and the ’south’ was a bunch of slave owning monsters and the ‘north was a bunch of altruistic humanitarians.

It isn’t that they think they’re above it…. it is that they never learned it, but were told they were and were taught to be suspicious of anyone who’d say otherwise.

I mean… they received what the government says is the required amount of learning in history…. who are YOU to question that?

Of course, it’s these same people who are always repeating the mistakes of the past.

It is very telling that my first history class was called “social studies” and not “history.”

We also had “World Cultures” before we had “American History.” And we NEVER studied “Ancient History” or “World History” in our high school.

    And I graduated in 94′.

“Concepts” were always stressed before “facts.”
I have nothing against a more abstract teaching method, but in the case of history I believe that dates, numbers, and maps must precede any further or “higher” concentration.

    SO TRUE.

I used to hang with a very liberal, “hippie” crowd (pardon the expression for any actual 60’s hippies out there) and I felt like such a buzzkill because people refused to accept reality.

I would often laugh inwardly at the cutthroat capitalism going on in the parking lot at Phish shows.

They force you to be condescending, and then mock you for it.

    It ain’t easy being right.

Yeah, it would be like a Mike-uh Jackson fan and someone daring to raise criticism about those little pesky accusations (PLURAL). His hard-core fans won’t hear of it and believe he could do no wrong, let alone, moonwalk on water. I see that same BLIND adoration and fanatisicm with hard-core Obummer fans. But I will say I have seen less and less Obama stickers here in Northern Virginia lately. Maybe “some” of the sparkle is starting to wear off in an area where there was once a fevered pitch to support him. (that was hard to stomach)

That’s why I don’t engage in the politics of personal destruction with Liberals. I keep their earthly idols out of it and focus instead on the issues. I don’t even mention “liberal” or “Democrat”. That gets their gander up too. Just stick to what works and what doesn’t work. What’s right and wrong. That is, if you care about educating them. Sometimes it’s just fun to flame them, I know.
