Global Warming McCarthyism

The Left always cries McCarthyism when their positions are criticized. However, when it comes to the Global Warming debate they seek to silence all that disagree. Al Gore goes out and smears  opponents. Progressive blogs and commentators, mock and ridicule all who question. This creates a climate of fear among critics who dare question this ideology.

DISCUSSIONS about global warming are marked by an increasing desire to stamp out “impure” thinking, to the point of questioning the value of democratic debate. But shutting down discussion simply means the disappearance of reason from public policy.

In March, Al Gore’s science adviser and prominent climate researcher Jim Hansen proclaimed that when it comes to dealing with global warming, the “democratic process isn’t working”. Although science has demonstrated that CO2 from fossil fuels is heating the planet, politicians are unwilling to follow his advice and stop building coal-fired power plants.

This is the tactics Progressives use when someone questions. They attack, smear and humiliate their opponents. They go after their families and friends to intimidate. It’s sad to say, but these tactics work.

The Right should mimic these tactics and turn the tables.

    Rodan,

Do you mean like when California Congressman, Henry Waxman, stated that Republicans were “rooting against the Country“, and unpatriotic for not just giving into Global Warming claims and the following?:

In further remarks to MSNBC this week, Waxman conceded that his climate change legislation would have to “defy conventional wisdom” in the Senate, where pundits opine it will have difficulty drawing-in enough Republicans and centrist Democrats to overcome a filibuster.

“I think we have to defy conventional wisdom and move this important legislation forward,” he added. “It’s going to help us become more energy independent, and that’s important for our national security.”

I do not believe that warming is caused by man. I believe that weather is cyclical, some decades (the 1970’s for example) are colder or warmer (the 00’s) then others.

Republicans need to stop trying to work with the left and adopt the Chicago Way and ‘put a few demonrats in the (virtual)morgue’.

I’m reposting this from prev. because I feel it’s relevant.

And O’Reilly’s on Fox and Friends this morning pretty much calling anthropogenic global warming deniers fringers. He didn’t out and out say it, but implied it, so as to cover his butt both ways. It’s not even that most of us deny CO2 causes SOME greenhouse effect, or that we’re against reasonable emissions standards that don’t involve draconian assigning of value to omnipresent, naturally occurring gases.
It’s time people started reading a little bit.

    And researching I would add.

O’Reilly’s hesitant stance shows the power that perception holds within the media.

Oh yeah many even on the Right are scared to take on the Left on this issue. That is why The Progressive movement is winning.

The Progressives aren’t interested in facts. They are too enamored with their own agenda, their own intellect, their quest for power over others.

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

McCarthyism was largely done BY the left, even in McCarthy’s era.

McCarthy was a senator who was charged by HUAC (A HOUSE Committee, for those who think that McCarthy was behind it all) with finding communist spies and supporters working in the Federal Government.

That’s it. And he did his job. When it turned up that he was developing a list of folks who were communist spies and supporters, the Democrats (who, since World War 2 had worked on defending and snuggling up to Communists privately and publically) tried to silence McCarthy and tried to discredit him by forcing him to make public his list (McCarthy did not want to do so, as he said that he suspected them, but some may NOT be sympathizers or spies) by interrupting him whenever he spoke, hooting and yelling at him to make the list public until he finally did. The Democrats didn’t care who was on the list, they just wanted the names public so that they could find an innocent one and use it to discredit all of his work.

Turns out, McCarthy was proven right, but not until decades later, when we finally decoded and translated the Verona Cables.

Democrats are always behind calls to silence opposition. That’s what liberals do.

The KGBs files also helped to prove McCarthy right.

Yup, and yet his legacy is blacklisting people in private business in the United States as a paranoid individual who thought everyone was a Communist.

Truth is, he was a Senator who did the job put to him and pointed out communist spies and sympathizers that worked for the federal government.

Any ACTUAL blacklisting or invasion done by the federal government at that time was done by the Democrats.

That’s why it is blamed on McCarthy.

McCarthy was a creep who gave anti Communism (unfortunately) a bad name.

No. The Democrats demonized him until he became what you perceive him to be.

Thanks for keeping the demonized myth alive, you do communism a great service.

“The Right should mimic these tactics and turn the tables.” – Rodan

I’ve been saying that for years. The donks know that they have a free-hand to pull any crap they desire with the confidence that no Republican will ever return the favor.

libz like to say that McCarthy never found a single commie, which sounds implausible to me. The libz also never seem to inumerate all of these supposed people, whose lives they claim were ruined by Joe McCarthy.

    The Venona files vindicated McCarthy.

My first tip that anthropogenic global warming was a big scam and swindle was their fear and terror of actually engaging in a scientific debate. Algore went awol any time someone offered to debate him. The “debate was over.” Well, that’s not how it works. Convince me first, then and only then, is the debate over.

McCarthy was indeed right, which is precisely why he’s so vilified by the Left.
