Iranian cleric says UK embassy staff may face trial
TEHRAN (Reuters) – A senior Iranian cleric suggested on Friday that detained local staff from the British embassy in Tehran would be put on trial in the Islamic Republic for their alleged role in post-election unrest.
[...]
“In these developments their embassy here maintained a presence in which individuals were arrested and inevitably they will be tried as they have (made) confessions,” Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati told Friday prayer worshippers in Tehran.
Jannati heads the Guardian Council, a powerful constitutional watchdog.

We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.
Play nice!
Another Palestinian Arab blood libel

That story sound familiar – so that tells me they’ve made the claim before.
I just wish the Israelis would just kick all their interlopers out! Just get rid of them! They will never accept an Israeli state and they will never stop the attacks!

The Palestinians are wild boors
So it’s a constitutional watchdog now, and not the seat of absolute power in the country? Man… those constitutionalists sure are conservative.
Just popping in to say “thank you” to vapig for responding to me on the Clinton thread from yesterday. Thank you for praying for my big brother : ) And a thank you also to Wrath for explaining his position to me. Suffice to say, I think he and I are in agreement : )
Gotta go…tons of work to get ready for tomorrow! Have a great day everyone and a wonderful Fourth of July. Please remember to pray for the soldier taken in Afghanistan. Pray that we kick some serious ass and get him back safely!
Another thing I don’t understand is Great Britian wants to pretty much abandon their embassy there for fear of reprisals against their personnel there (we all know how Iranians respect the sovereign territory of embassies!) and the EU is forbidding them. If I was in charge of GB I would tell the EU to get stuffed and pull my staff!
Also, our tyrant-in-chief has now openly chosen sides and is blocking any new sanctions on Iran.
On the other hand, he certainly intends to use sanctions to crush Honduras’ audacity in following their constitution and ousting a would-be tin-dict!
Phakestinians/wild boars, let me see. OK, I’ll take the pigs as neighbors any day, kosher or not.
As for the Iranian Islamo fascists,no 4th of July for you and drop dead!

further proof that we need to get rid of the Constitution and arrest those who would support or defend it!
All Hail Obama!

Obama love for Islamists and abortion. Somehow methinks the two will not mix well.

Throw the gays into the mix and that might even be fun to watch!
Obama “can’t we all just get along”?

Hey V, wish I was closer to the DC Tea Party! A couple of small ones around here and Boston is only 1 hour straight up the pike. The idea of driving there alone, not so appealing.
Heh,no gays in Islam.//
re: #6 by vapig
I wish they would, but that would first mean admitting that the EU is actually preventing us from doing so. Admitting that the EU is steadily taking more control of our national and foreign policy is the ultimate taboo in European politics, and especially British politics.
Under certain dtreaty obligations our embassies are now actually “european”. Having accepted in principle the provisions of the
EU ConstitutionLisbon Treaty, the UK’s embassies are now subordinated to the European Union and its nascent foreign diplomatic arm. At some point most embassies of the member states will be closed and replaced with a single EU embassy, though not for quite some time. For now the EU simply acts as the locus of control and member states must follow in its path, whilst pretending to be independent entities. So, in effect we have no choice in the matter. Just wait until the EU dictates foreign policy decisions, you’ll wonder whatever happened to the ally Britain once was. By then we’ll just be eight regional entities.

I’m very close and really thinking of going (I really have an intense dislike of crowds – makes me feel like I’m suffocating!). I think it’s important this time because I really see our republic in deadly danger!
re: #15 by vapig
Same here, crowds never used to bother me. You are right, the criminal political class must be told that average Americans know what they are up to and our patience is wearing thin.
For those going to a tea party, just in case you have a media encounter, here are some concise talking points.

Ah, this is how I think his brain might work:
Muslims will not get abortions. Others will. Ergo, no effect on Muslims and decreases other groups while appearing to be a hero to the liberals.

Run that through a loony lefty filter and you get:
If I saw the world like that I’d hate it too…
re: #21 by archonix
We are the “common man.” The fact we refuse to be victims really annoys them. That’s what this whole administration is about; victimhood of the proles and how Uncle Obama and the state will fix all your problems. So long as you abdicate self determination.
Goddess if you are around, interesting bit from PA.

Thanks.
Cowards.
I’ve realized that the people in my life who have brought me the most hurt recently are cowards.
I have no use for them.
