It could also be argued that alongside religious beliefs in ancient times a cohesive family union wasn't a mere convenience it was a necessity for survival, hence the harsh justice for those who strayed. The man provided food, protection, the woman reared children and maintained the household.I'm not arguing the influence of religious belief then and now, just don't think there will be a widespread resurgence of faith and adherence to biblical morality. Unfortunate because it is essential for the health of society, no matter what the seculars think. Then again if things get really horrible, the churches and synagogues may see an uptick in believers.

Yes I believe that we need to begin with the schools as that is where they are now being taught Nothingism (ie: nothing good, nothing bad, do whatever you feel, you are a start...blah blah blah).

But my question is not where are we, but how we got here, and thus my point was that possibly this all would/could have been avoided by the stricter Biblical laws. You can state that Capitol Punishment is not needed but the lack of it has allowed us to get where we are. You can also say that we only need to shame people, but the lack of these harsh sentences have led to a situation where we no longer feel shame. I propose reevaluating the root instead of the branches on the tree.

There are of course no records to verify this, but I would strongly assume that there weren't too many Adulterous people, etc. in Biblical times, and there are definitely less in communities now who believe in Biblical principles.

Wrath, we don't need cap punishment for bad behavior we need a renewed sense of shame, a 21st century scarlet letter if you will.Amorality is valued by the secular progs, nothing good nothing bad all equal.Kids are steeped in this from a young age by the statist schools, thats where you have to start, the kids.

That is probably because a U.S. soldier was kidnapped in that area earlier today.
