Obama Increases Aid to Muslim Countries

Mr. “I don’t want to meddle in other Countries’ business (*if they are Muslim)” is upping U.S. aid to Islamic Dictatorships.  They deserve it right? I mean, they do so much for the U.S, and besides, it isn’t like we are in a recession.  Right?…..right?…..

Obama Bows To Saudi KingIn the latest in a recent series of increased American assistance efforts for Arab and Muslim states, U.S. President Barack Obama has allocated an additional $150 million to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The regimes leading Egypt, the Palestinian Authority, the United Arab Emirates and even Saudi Arabia have all benefited from recent American policy shifts.

Jordan’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Suhair Al-Ali, was quoted by The Jordan Times as explaining that the [Jordanian] kingdom receives $363 million annually from the United States in economic assistance. The allocations signed into law by Obama this week mean that Jordan will receive a total of $513 million from the U.S. in 2009. The minister told the Jordanian newspaper that the additional American aid was the result of ongoing efforts by Jordan’s King Abdullah II, as well as Obama’s “recognition of the important role Jordan plays in the region.”

Egypt received $310 million in supplemental appropriations from the U.S. House of Representatives, currently controlled by Obama’s Democratic party. At the same time, 2009 State Department funding for the promotion of democratic initiatives in Egypt was cut from $50 million to $20 million. In addition, the U.S. has agreed not to give any of the pro-democracy funds to organizations that are not approved by the Mubarak regime. In the year 2007, Egypt received a total of $2.4 billion.

On another front, in March of this year, it was reported that the Obama administration planned to dramatically increase funding to the Palestinian Authority for security training, which is conducted by Jordanian police under the supervision of U.S. General Keith Dayton. The U.S. allocated $75 million for the PA police training in 2008, but reports indicated that the Obama administration was planning to pump up to $130 million into the program in 2009In.  In any event, the U.S. has already pledged $600 million in funds to the Palestinian Authority, with another $300 million for humanitarian aid to the Hamas regime in Gaza.

Elsewhere in the region, the U.S. is set to help the United Arab Emirates become the first Arab nation with a developed nuclear power infrastructure. President Obama gave his official support and authorization for the $41 billion project, allowing private U.S. companies to compete for construction contracts.

In Pakistan, the U.S. president proposed $2.8 billion in aid for that nation’s military, alongside civilian aid of $1.5 billion a year for the next five years. The military aid is ostensibly to allow the Pakistanis to more effectively fight jihadist and al-Qaeda terrorism emanating from the Swat Valley and along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

The Obama administration’s assistance to Arab and Muslim states extends beyond the monetary, however.

According to an article in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin earlier this month, the American government has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to preserve sovereign immunity for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and four Saudi princes in connection with a civil case seeking compensation for victims of the massive September 11, 2001, al-Qaeda terrorist attacks on the American homeland. The claimants in the case say that there is sufficient evidence of Saudi involvement in 9/11 for the court to lift the normally applicable immunity.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Saud al-Faisal, told Newsweek magazine this month that the United States should cut off all aid to Israel if the Jewish State does not accept the 2002 Saudi-sponsored Arab-Israeli terms of negotiation.

Why are we giving these countries more money?
Next up, Obama will increase Bush’s policy of prioritizing Muslim Immigrants. The difference will be Obama will outright just give them green cards. Watch!

    GOOD NEWS FOR CONSERVATIVES!!

NO, not really, sorry. However in the “Bad News Has Silver Lining” category we have:

Gov. Sanford. Isn’t it a good thing that we discovered what a media suckup whore this assclown is NOW? He can’t get enough of the cameras!! Now he’s telling us all about ALL OF THE OTHER AFFAIRS HE HAD.

Honestly with the (seeming) dominatrix he was married to, I had a tiny bit of feeling for him. (I’ve had the misfortune of being in a “relationship” with someone who thought they were better than me and they deserved better. They don’t let you forget that they’re smarter, richer, have a better family for one minute).

Now I can see that she put up with more than I gave her credit for.

    Mark Sanford the Republicans Clinton.

Glad he’s not in contention for 2012 (if he ever was).

    BTW. I’m GLAD to see the media still hacking away at Sarah Palin. It just means that;
    1. she still threatens them. = 5+
    2. she will have all the answers for all the crap by 2012 = 10+
    3. they actually might run out of feces to fling.

    4. They will keep her name in the news without an expensive ad campaign and give her the opportunity to highlight what a bunch of a$$ faces they are. = 5+

Oh, and one more thing, if McCain doesn’t look out, he might get whipped for his senate seat if he keeps letting his attack dogs snarl and snap at the only reason he made a decent showing in his FAILED presidential run.

OH, and another silver lining; with their majorities in the house and senate, they can’t blame the Reps if the bills fail to pass or when they create havoc through out the country.

Obama and the Dems are now fully in charge and responsible for the results and the people know it.

This is typical. The Leftist hatred has always been for the U.S. first. They romanticize France, yet won’t allow us to have France’s energy policy (nuclear), they romanticize Iran, and Saudi Arabia (two theocracies) yet go apoplectic over American “religious conservatives”, they romanticize the Soviets, yet scream at even the first step toward American totalitarianism from “Conservatives” (thankfully), and they will allow Iran, and Pakistan to have nukes but want the U.S. to disarm. I really believe we are dealing with died-in-the-wool Socialists/Anti-Americans and most of the Leftists are just useful idiots.

It isn’t about Nuclear power, its about hating/hurting America.

I’m fatigued by the news of this freak, but the coverage is an example of how the MSM pushes pop culture rather than the issues, such as the one described in this thread, for monetary gain.

There is a better dollar to be gained and the media and advertisers who want it rely on the death/sex sells postulate as a proven method.

I wish that could be changed in the MSM, where really society changing issues should be brought to bear and discussed; but so far they are a no show.

Yet, we do have the internet now and the new stream media is gaining traction. I just wish it would gain more traction more quickly.

I saw that earlier. The Muslims really don’t like the idea of assimilation. Rather, they desire to push their culture on another nation until the time when they can take control and subjugate it.

  34. 36 | June 30, 2009 2:00 pm

    re: #33 by vapig

I assume that was a rhetorical question but I am going to answer it anyway.

As you know it is not the intent of Al Qaeda or any other Islamist group (not matter what they say) to not be offended or assimilate into their host countries (just like the PLO, Muslim Brotherhood, etc.) but instead to impose their Muslim values across the globe.

Interesting and depressing however is the success their have ingrained themselves into Western society and now act as if they are just another branch of the Government. They make their political demands, then work till they are effectuated. This has not been ignored by Hamas.

That’s been their way for 1400 years. They are only quiet when they are a super minority. Once they gain in numbers the demands start and they get louder and louder.

The mistake of the west has been in giving them a single inch in the first place. But with progressives in charge of almost every country, the self-loathing west has all but capitulated to islam.

I once described them, over at that other place, as a few wolves who don sheep’s clothing and emigrate to another nation. They lay in wait – just another group of immigrants- quietly going about their business, practicing their cult. And when they have a sufficient population the most radical, or rather those most committed to Allah, begin the initial pogrom of protestation, using the laws of their host. When they gain even greater numbers they become violent and shed the ROP sheep’s clothing and start making demands that the laws be changed to accept their culture.

What is troubling is they have infiltrated most nations now. It is not a religion, but is a demonic fascist political movement.

It’s sad that Americans, with such ease of access to information, can’t see what is happening in Europe, figure out their tactics, and reject this Islamic uprising out of hand.
I’m tired of hearing about how our youth are just “tired of the same old politics as usual.”
No, they’re not. They’re apathetic and lazy as a whole.
I keep hearing this as an argument as to why the youth is so taken with Obama, as if he’s somehow above the fray. They just won’t do their homework. And it’s a large part of our undoing.
Not that the MSM makes it easy, but common sense should rule the day with an concerned populace, and it’s not.
