The Ayatollahs have won in Iran

It is now apparent that the Islamo-Fascist regime of Iran has neutered the “Green” revlotion in Iran. There are still sporadic protest but through a combination of ruthless supression, mass arrests and de facto support from Obama the regime appears to have survived.

The End of the Beginning

Iran’s popular uprising, which began after the June 12 election, may be heading for a premature ending. In many ways, the Ahmadinejad government has succeeded in transforming what was a mass movement into dispersed pockets of unrest. Whatever is now left of this mass movement is now leaderless, unorganized — and under the risk of being hijacked by groups outside Iran in pursuit of their own political agendas.

This is teh result Obama and his Progressive allies wanted. The Left loves this regime and Obama did not provide moral support to the opposition, like Reagan did to anti-Communists. This is just another example of the Progressive-Islamic alliance and the global power it has.

Update: Ahmadinejad has vowed to get tougher with the west in his 2nd term. It seems all the butt kissing of the Progressives didn’t work. However it doesn’t matter, no matter how much Iran tells the Left to screw off, the Left loves this regime too much.

Ahmadinejad Vows Tougher Approach to West in New Term

June 27 (Bloomberg) — Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vowed his second term as president of Iran will be marked by a tougher approach to the West, saying U.S. criticism of his crackdown on dissent over the election shows the Obama administration’s offer of talks on the Iranian nuclear program isn’t genuine.

“If they think the government will be influenced, they’re wrong,” Ahmadinejad told judiciary officials at a conference today in Tehran, in comments aired on state television. “The government will have a more powerful and decisive approach in the new term.” He called Western leaders “the arrogants.”

See my comment and link in the previous thread. Armedhinijad and the Mullahs not only feel powerful, they are, and with a weak TOTUS they are going to become more so.

From Obama’s point-of-view, you can only demonstrate how “reasonable” you are by dealing with “unreasonable” people.

Therefore, if Iran had overthrown the mad mullahs,
Obama would’ve lost his chance to show how reasonable he is.

Not to forget North Korea is breathing murderous threats against us.
I think the two smell a weak U.S. and are taking advantage of that.

Iran does what it will. Had Obama come out against the government, it wouldn’t have mattered

I understand that, but my point is that Reagan morally supported the anti-Commies. Obama made himself look weak and a patsy of their regime.

OMG…some Swedish protesters have attacked the Iranian Emabassy!!! First thing the home of my ancestors has done right politically in about 150 years.

Update: Ok Ok it was a few rocks and some yelling but hey!! its a start.

Update II: Ok Ok they were Iranians in Sweden protesting the mother country…never mind…

Gays are angry at Obama for not forcing their issues. I don’t remember him promising to, but I remember him promising to change the economy and healthcare, which he is screwing up.

Will he pander to gays or radical muslims?

Gays are a bigger voting group, but he loves pandering to the islamic threat. Besides, the gay folks won’t turn conservatives, as the dnc is convinced that we want to send them to concentration camps to convert or kill them. (per a gay coworker at a previous job)

Let me guess what will be next. Obama will “apologize” for “tacitly” supporting those bad old protesters. He so wants to be liked by everyone, including those that seek our destruction.

The old saying still goes here…..

“when you try to please everyone….NO ONE WILL LIKE IT.”

He is in so far over his head, that he has NO CLUE.

I just saw the film the Stoning of Soray M. an hour ago. Very powerful and terrifying – the scenes in which she is stoned to death are pretty graphic. If The One thinks that this murderous regime in Tehran is one which we can negotiate with he is a freaking idiot (come to think of it he already is).

The Iranian people just don’t want freedom enough.

Sure some of them do, but it takes numbers.

They will have to live with the consequences of their brothers and sisters support for the mad mullahs.

I’m not so sure the Left loves this regime; but rather they do like a government that controls the people in totality. And that is what Iran does. That is the attractive feature they admire.

  20. 21 | June 27, 2009 3:21 pm

I dunno, my sexy swedish wife could probably put a few marines to shame. A country that produces women like that must have something going for it.

    Not politically…

Funny, my American ancestors left Sweden in the second half of the 19th century looking for religious freedom because Sweden was not offering it to them, nor the right to vote, nor own land (and they were Baptist!!)…and now Muslims will soon be running their country (some say they already do).

But yes genes that originate there do produce some handsome men (cough cough) and very beautiful woman.

Ran into an old friend this morning, he was a General in the Shah’s Army. I asked him what was the latest word, as all the Iranian ex-pats listen to the short wave broadcasts. He said things were calm for the moment, but it wasn’t going to last. With Khamenei calling the protesters “mohareb,” he has created a point of no return for them, as most don’t observe islam anyway.
He thinks more protests, or a general strike is next. They know they have to keep the pressure on the regime, because if they give up, the Basiji and the IRG can take their time in picking them off at home, one by one.
I hope they do keep fighting back, and if someone would just be careless with a match at the only refinery Iran has, half of their gasoline would burn, and shut down the country.

I find it quite surprising Iran has only one refinery.

You said a few days ago that pre-Shah the Iranians were Zoroastrians, for the most part. Are they still the majority, and if so how in the heck did the Muslims get control?

    Hi S & D,

The avatar is my truck, flying the Culpeper Minutemen Flag. The photo was taken at the Tax Day Tea Party my wife and I organized.

Sadly, since that day – our community, our friends and our fellow patriots that worked to make the event happen….have fallen “asleep” and are no longer willing to sacrifice their time for their liberty.
