Iran Cracks Down on Foreign Press

The Iranian Islamo-fascist regime is now cracking down on their own allies: the western media. Not that this will silence what is going on anyway. Thanks to Twitter, YouTube and other outlets, what is happening in Iran is still getting out to the world.

Iran Cracks Down On Foreign Media

Iran’s hard-line regime, starting to show stress under the mounting pressure of massive opposition rallies, has told foreign media that if they’re seen on the streets of Tehran today with a camera, they will be arrested.

Since the contested election results were announced just hours after polls closed on Friday, images of thousands of thousands-strong protests — some turning violent — have streamed out of Iran’s capital city.

The international media is totally irelevant in this situation and that is a good thing. For years they have supported this regime and attacked anyone that criticized it. Now they are being silenced by their allies, how fitting.

They don’t want those cameras capturing images like this, where the mullah controlled Bassiji militia murder protesters.

Sorry to go OT, but our fascist in chief has been busy!

    Obama pushes Anti-gun treaty:

Supporters of the Second Amendment have blasted the agreement as a dangerous infringement on the right to keep and bear arms and another attack on U.S. sovereignty. The agreement would create a national database of gun owners in America that could then be accessed by other signatory nations. It would even provide for the extradition of people found to be in violation of the terms.

“It would clear the way for imposing a national gun registry [and] would overturn the current prohibition on keeping centralized firearms records by the federal government,” explained Larry Pratt, the executive director of Gun Owners of America. “It reflects a deep distrust that the government of the United States has had towards the people.” The National Rifle Association has also issued a statement indicating that it will “vigorously oppose any international effort to restrict the constitutional rights of law-abiding American gun owners.”

OT: Hamas protected their buddy, Jimmy Carter.

Happened during Carter’s trip, calling on Obama to remove Hamas from the terrorist list.

The 2nd Amendment has no place in the Obama Living Constitution.

Yup. Meanwhile, nothing is done to protect the innocent.

Rule number 1. Do NOT give up your guns.

Firearms are to freedom what a lightsaber is to a Jedi.

I would have replied sooner, but I had to go to work. Back now.

This is of the utmost importance, and ties in with what you posted, vapig. Focus on title of the treaty:

the “Inter-American Convention against the Illicit Manufacturing and Trafficking in Firearms” treaty, also known by its Spanish acronym CIFTA.

Now, I take you to a “Odd Angry Shot” column by Guns magazine writer John Connor, from the June issue of GUNS. The article is called Shrap & Frags and is found on pgs. 78-79. The link to the article is here. This page will also take you to the online version of the magazine where you can read the article in full (the good bit is not on the first link, but in the online part of the article).

A Taste of Things to Come
From a little newspaper in Iowa, we learned in February of an “Urban Military Operations” training exercise scheduled for early April. The Carroll National Guard unit planned a company-sized search for a “suspected arms dealer” operating from a residential area in Acadia. First, troops would begin “patrolling the streets and conducting reconnaissance operations”. Photos of the “arms dealer” would be passed out and people asked if they had seen him. Then soldiers would commence door-to-door searches.

A Guard spokesman explained troops would only knock on doors of homes where residents were voluntary participants. A town meeting would be held before the drill to seek volunteers.

Portions of the town” the spokesman said, “will be road-blocked and more in-depth searches of homes and vehicles will be conducted…” As soldiers watch, he said, people would be asked to “…open doors and cupboards.

    Please read the entire thing.
