I've read old science textbooks (old as in ones that have hand sketches instead of pictures), showing the definition of a Theory as a best estimation of the interpretation of the experiment's results in comparison to the hypothesis. Basically, what seperates a Theory from a Law is that a Law is what happened and can be used to explain what will happen. A theory means it is the guess as to what happened and what may happen. Nowdays, a Theory has become what Fact uesd to be. . . what, then do they say a Law is?
