5 American soldiers were killed in Iraq by another soldier at Camp Liberty.

BAGHDAD (AP) – A U.S. soldier opened fire at a counseling center on a U.S. base Monday, killing five fellow soldiers before being taken into custody, the U.S. command and Pentagon officials said. The shooting occurred at Camp Liberty, a sprawling U.S. base on the western edge of Baghdad near the city’s international airport and adjacent to another facility where President Barack Obama visited last month.
Is this a case of sudden Jihad syndrome? Not much information has been revealed but my heart goes out to the victim’s families.

Or was it, as they say in Europe, a “misguided youth of unknown ethnic origin,” or as CAIR says, a “misinterpreter of Islam.” If in fact it was a muslim soldier in all. Still waiting for more details……..

This is truly a tragedy. Insofar that I heard this occurred in a center for disturbed/troubled soldiers, I am shocked that the individual had access to a weapon.
Also, (and noone has done it yet) let’s not jump to any conclusions, and suffer from what I once called “MDS” (Muslim Derangement Syndrome). We have, at this point, absolutely ZERO evidence that this individual was a Muslim, so it would wholeheartedly wrong to just assume he was, and then start attacking Muslims in general.
There are enough Islamists doing enough horrible things around the world that we don’t need to begin making them up.

Ah, I remember when the last time the crazyness occurred. It was at Camp Pennsylvania when some lunatic name Sgt. Hasan Akbar decided to kill his fellow soldiers with a grendade attack. He got the death penalty.
I believe that under normal circumstances, this guy would fry someday as well. Of course, I think the douchebag-in-chief Obama is going to let him live.

there was a similar attack in the last few weeks by a soldier who was clergy at the on base mosque… I forget which base.
Do we have ANY info on the shooter? if they won’t release the name, there MAY be a reason

One article I read about this said that while the guys at the center are allowed to have weapons, they are supposed to be unloaded.

That was a few years ago and the ROLLER of that grenade was a muslim. So I can’t wait to hear the name of this shooter and wonder why it is taking so long to know his name.
