This supposedly highly complex legal issue can be resolved by asking one simple question: Does anyone OTHER than one religious group use that word to describe G-d? This is the same criteria that would disqualify the use of the word Jesus. Its really not that difficult of an issue as ONLY the Muslims use the world Allah. It does however open up a question as to the use of the descriptive term "Ha Shem" (The Name) used by Jews instead of the others names of G-d out of respect to the holiness of the names of G-d. Out of an abundance of caution however, I would rule in that case that it is just better to use the word G-d. How anyone can get this wrong is amazing and evidences a hyper-willingness on the part of most these days to break standing tradition, and universally accepted American standards to be "welcoming", "tolerant", and otherwise bend over backwards for Islam.
