There wasn’t an actual dumping of tea at the April 4th tea party in Charlotte. I don’t think there is at the tax day tea party either. Just making your presence and your anger at the whacked out spending known to local pol’tics.

Freedomworks was there, but I don’t see how that plays into anything. I had never heard of them and I was there because of my anger not because of freedomworks funding.

And I didn’t see Ron Paul or anything, but US Rep. Sue Myrick (R – NC 9th), NC State House Rep. Rick Killian, radio talk show host Mason Weaver, and Lenny McAllister rocked.

I don’t know… the Original tea party in Boston, all those years ago, was a strike against the government by dumping all the tea before taxes were paid on it.

This tea party is buying tea from the store and symbolically dumping it into the water or mailing it to Congressmen.

I am on the fence as to whether or not it is misguided passion.

We’ll see on Wed.

Now Chuckles has denounced the Tea Parties as Bircher and Paulian.
