“Moderate” Fatah Admits They Do Not Recognize Israel’s Existance

The major reasons given for why the United States, and other Western nations won’t negotiate and deal with Hamas (as of now) is because they refuse to acknowledge Israel, deny its right to exist, and refuse to renounce violence.   These are also supposedly the core aspects that make Hamas extremist and Fatah “moderate” -thus allowing the West to fund, train, and otherwise support Fatah/PLO.

However, as I have stated for a long time, the only real difference between Fatah, and Hamas is a false “good cop” / “bad cop” dynamic to obtain money, training, sympathy, and weapons from the West. Sadly, the West has been falling for it for years, and continues to do so today.

Any deal made with Fatah is a complete sham whose sole purpose is to dupe the West into helping them fulfill the first phase of the PLO Phased Plan for destroying Israel.

fatah-saluteSenior Fatah leader Mohammed Dahlan confirmed on Tuesday that Fatah, which leads the Palestinian Authority, does not recognize Israel, one of the basic demands of the Roadmap plan. The Western world has boycotted the Hamas terrorist organization because of the same refusal to acknowledge the existence of the Jewish state.

The other two requirements in the American-backed Roadmap plan – renouncing violence and accepting existing agreements – also have been violated by the PA.

“I want to say for the thousandth time, in my own name and in the name of all of my fellow members of the Fatah movement: We do not demand that the Hamas movement recognize Israel,” Dahlan said on PA television.

“On the contrary, we demand of the Hamas movement not to recognize Israel because the Fatah movement does not recognize Israel even today, added Dahlan. He was Fatah’s top official in the Gaza region until Hamas won a militia war against the rival sect nearly two years ago.

Dahlan explained that although Fatah, headed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, does not recognize Israel, the PA does — but only in order to receive aid from the international community. Western countries have poured billions of dollars into the Ramallah-based administration.

The United States this week announced it is spending more than $100 million on a training base in Jericho for an emerging PA army, which the State Department refers to as “special forces.”

Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook, who operate the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), translated Dahlan’s televised interview into English.

In the interview, Dahlan commented, “The PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) in 1993 recognized Israel. As Israel recognized the PLO, Every person has the right to say ‘I do not recognize,’ okay? It’s your right. It is the right of every organization.”

Abbas has stated several times that the PA reserves the right to violence if Israel does not meet its demands for a new Arab country, which it wants to establish on the land of Judea, Samaria, Gaza and eastern Jerusalem.

The PA also has violated Roadmap conditions and previous agreements prohibiting incitement and violence against Israel. Fatah’s military wing, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade terrorist organization, has carried out a number of attacks against Israeli civilians since Abbas was elected to succeed Yasser Arafat after his death in 2004.

Fatah initially took responsibility this week for the murder of two Israeli policemen in the Jordan Valley, but the announcement was quickly followed by a claim of responsibility by a group with a different name.

Last week, PA TV celebrated the 31st anniversary of the March 11, 1978 attack on an Israeli bus, killing 37 civilians. The hour-long program “included file film of PLO training camps, and interviews with a number of terrorists describing the planning and implementation of the attack.” Marcus and Cook wrote.

The narrator opened the program by stating that the attack was “one of the most important and most prominent special actions executed by the Palestinian revolution by sea, on the coast between Haifa and Tel Aviv. This action, which was carried out by a group of heroes and led by the heroic fighter Dalal Mughrabi, had a great impact on continuing events of the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

A new “peace poll” by the Truman Institute at Tel Aviv University and the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research revealed that 54 percent of PA Arabs support terror attacks inside Israel, compared with only 42 percent who oppose such attacks.

    Rodan,

I am sure this will make all the news rounds, and drasticly change the direction of our negotiations with PLO/PA/Fatah……NOT!

The most disgusting part of all of this is that this isn’t the first time the “mask has slipped”.

During the Oslo Accords, Israel and “The West” did exactly what they are doing now (giving weapons, training, etc) to the PLO. This resulted in years of more successful Terrorism, and thousands of Israeli deaths.

    OT ish:

Ex CNN Producer (but present CNN Employee) lets her “mask slip” and verbally assaults Israeli politician. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zV82jXNtZbY) Her wild claims, impassioned diatribe, personal attacks, and accusations that Israel is “fascist”, etc., should leave no doubt in anyone’s mind as to why we get the type of reporting regarding Israel that we do. She even goes as far as to deny Israel’s right to exist claiming that “it is all Palestinian land” and her land.

…it is supposed to be business, but she is taking it very, very, personally….

I’m past believing that our rulers are complete fools. Sure, some of them are blind (WILL not see), but most of them know Fatah is not “moderate” at all.

They just want a “solution” to the Arab-Israeli conflict, something to satisfy their control-freak narcissism, the way affirmative action “solves” the so-called problem of too many Asians and whites in grad school. All they care about is images, and they’ll screw up the whole concrete world for the sake of abstract, on-paper “solutions.” Sick.

Read the link for the PLO Phased Plan (above), and the Arab’s actions begin to make a lot more sense.

This is a must have book…….Kamal saleem certainly thinks so.”Ahmadinejad is a true Muslim zealot.you know in the Muslim world he is a hero.Why?.Because he’s fulfilling his duty to usher in a Mahdi. The Mahdi is the Muslim Messiah who would usher in a Muslim one-world order, whice is ruled by one Muslim man.And that’s his heart’s deire. If you ask anybody on the street in the Middle East, they know this. But when you ask somebody in the United States of America about this, they have no clue. http://windsofbabylon.com/2009/0…-this- book.aspx

Benjamin Netanyahu…I think the West misunderstood, and still misunderstands, the threat of Radical Islam,he told me in his Tel Aviv office in March of 2007.it is a fanatic, messianic ideology that seeks to have an apocalyptic battle for world supremacy with the West.

They don’t even have a mask, from the start they’ve declared their goal.
Their charters declare their goals openly.
It’s not like this information is hidden.
There’s still no palestinians, yet the propaganda expert Joseph Goebbels said it accurately: If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it

They’ve told us about the make up Palestinian people since the 60s and now the people believe it. They’ve told us the lie of evolution for longer than that and the people believe (well not so much in USA but the rest of the world).

Think that salute in the picture above is lost on the Israelis?

  11. 11 | March 18, 2009 7:55 pm

There never was a mask per say! just the delusion of the refusal to admit reality. Nobody is going to be able to truly help Israel until ALL israelis admit to themselves that they are in a fight to the death with an enemy who wants to see all jews dead.

Rejection of reality appears to be a mental condition and the ultimate in denial!

    M,

Actually yes. I think it is “lost” or ignored on the entire West. The fact that the West continues to give PLO/PA/Fatah money, weapons, training, etc., only proves it.

It’s not lost on the Israelis I know. They get pretty exercised about it actually.

As for the rest of the West, considering there are people in the West calling Bush “Hitler”, I suspect they could see a pic of Hitler doing that salute and not connect.
