Tea Party photo album:
I’ve got tons of photos and e-mails pouring in from Tea Party people across the country. I joked to a Christian Science Monitor reporter covering the events that fiscal responsibility is the new counterculture. More coverage/photos/livestreaming at TCOT Report.

Dr Dobson’s resigns from Focus on the Family.
Focus on the Family announced today that founder James Dobson is officially stepping down as chair of the organization. It’s a move that’s long been in the works–six years ago, Dobson resigned his position as president and CEO of Focus, and internally the organization has been paving the way for current CEO Jim Daly to take full control.

Clint Eastwood Slams Political Correctness
Actor Clint Eastwood sees nothing funny about political correctness. The “Dirty Harry” actor told Germany’s Der Spiegel that modern society lives in a state of fear over the possibility of being labeled racist for telling jokes based on ethnicity or nationality.”People have lost their sense of humor,” he told the magazine. “In former times we constantly made jokes about different races. You can only tell them today with one hand over your mouth otherwise you will be insulted as a racist.

The Politically Incorrect Black American Hero
February is Black History Month. But Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who rose from poverty and overcame racism to become a leading black conservative thinker and jurist, wasn’t on the list of famous African Americans that my son brought home from school.

Obama’s budget: Taxing for fairness or class warfare?
Reporting from Washington — From front to back and on nearly every page, President Obama’s new budget plan delivers a stark message: It’s time for the rich to lighten the load on the middle class.
In education, healthcare and an array of other proposals, the budget focuses more benefits on middle-class and lower-income Americans and looks to the affluent to help pay for them.

Asia’s Jewish Myths
Such conspiracy theories are not rare in Asia. Japanese readers have shown a healthy appetite over the years for books such as To Watch Jews is to See the World Clearly, The Next Ten Years: How to Get an Inside View of the Jewish Protocols and I’d Like to Apologise to the Japanese – A Jewish Elder’s Confession (written by a Japanese author, of course, under the made-up name of Mordecai Mose). All these books are variations of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the Russian forgery first published in 1903, which the Japanese came across after defeating the tsar’s army in 1905.

Sad to see that the Japanese, along with other Asians, are falling for the old “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” scam. Not surprising for the Red Chinese, of course, since Marxists hate Jews as being roadblocks to the great and glorious new utopia.
I’m beginning to think Jew hate is like a disease, that, like cancer, can fix on anybody, and any culture.
Like after the Rape of Nanking and the atrocities Japan committed in Asia during WWII, they should be criticizing anybody? At all?
By the way, why is it always the Jews people obsess about? Why not Moslem oil sheiks, or Russian dizinformatzion agents? The latter have done far more harm in the 20th Century, and have hatched some really awful plots!

I agree, anti-Semitism is a cancer.
I don’t understand why most people throughout history have caught this cancer.
I wonder if it is because of mans inherent rejection of God.
I’ve known about Japanese anti-Semitism for a while and it never fails to surprise me, given that there are maybe 100 Jewish people in the country at any given time, and most of those are in passing airplanes.
1.0 did a thread on Dr Dobson resigning, typically the comments suggested that Christians should stay out of politics and get out of the GOP.
The excuse being the Separation of church and state to which they do not understand that is a probation against a state sponsored religion. Not a probation against religious being in government.
But it seems now for them separation of church and state means just no Christians allowed.
Its strange that they can not see their openly anti-American, they claim to be all about the constitution, yet they advocate removing free speech rights and not allowing Christians to have any say in politics or anything else.
Yes, they are all worked up over at 1.0 about Dobson. Some comments recognizing the good work he has done, but most are sliming him and FOTF as crazy right wing zealots who lost the election for Mc. Cain.
***News flash: The economy is the reason the GOP lost in 2008!!
Oh, also they are running a CPAC thread which seems to be focused on trashing Ann Coulter. Those are the first two threads of the day, more anti-creationism stuff coming I would guess. Pitiful.
Since this is an open thread, take a look at something from Frontpage on Hussein’s “biggest radical”:

SK—- Wow. Double wow. Chilling choice for top science advisor, eh?
In the meantime, over at 1.0, CJ and KT are rejoicing that Obama has included generous award$ to “science” in his budget, i.e., he wants to increase EPA funding by 35% and expand the Dept of Energy to combat AGW, beyond the nice chunks of fat they got in the porkulus bill.
This they are celebrating. (Most commenters failed to express enthusiasm, thank heaven.)
The isolation and dininishment of Clarence Thomas fills me with anger and shame.
Anastasia,
It does me too! I’m sure he’s use to it by now, but it certainly is a disgrace.
Oh, and BTW. Don’t know if there are any Rush Limbaugh fans here, but he will be speaking at CPAC on FOX at 5pm. I think it was recorded earlier today.
Rush was awesome.
He really needs to have his own TV show, again. His passion for conservatism, and all that is good about this country, is the very message(and image) that more people need to be exposed to.
So CJ was trashing Ann Coulter, eh?
Makes sense, since he is so anti-religious, and she is a goddess.
no2liberals
aladamit I missed it.
It is beyond me why no network will produce an apparent cash cow of a show for Limbaugh. Their hatred of him outweighs their love of money.
1.0 hits bottom and digs.
song_and_dance,
Sorry you missed it, it was a stem-winder!
Rush’s twenty minute speech(which went seventy minutes long), was a joy to watch. Fox didn’t interrupt with commercials either.
I’ve heard Rush say, over the years, why he doesn’t do a TV show, but can’t remember the reason/s.
If he were to get an agreement for a show structured for his skills, and the correct remuneration, it was have incredible ratings.
Henh, 1.0 hit bottom quite some time ago. His callouses, broken pick-axe, and dull shovel blade, are his only remaining badges of honor.
…it was have…(?)
/pimf
bar, I think it does have to do with man’s alienation from G-d.
I was one of the slogging masses working and didn’t get to see the Rush speech. Does anyone know where it can be viewed?
Annie—- I heard it would be up on Rush’s own site, but by tomorrow they may have it (split up) on You-Tube.
Another great speech today was by Mike Pence. They’ve got that one on You-Tube already. I also think Ace of Spades has it up.
Yaza said,
I had to study the Japanese a little bit in an anthropology course that was required for my college degree, and in that class (and in other sources over the years), I’ve learned that the Japanese just do not like or trust any non-Japanese people.
I’ve read that most of the Japanese do not like black people, they do not like any foreigners… so it’s not surprising that they would not like Jewish people either. But I think it’s just a larger cultural thing of not liking anyone outside their own group.
As for the Dobson story- when I first heard of his resignation earlier today, the first thing that went through my mind was that the people at the original LGF were probably trashing him.
Looking at bar’s post above, I guess I was right about that.
bar said,
I don’t get it. The GOP needs all the votes it can get.
If the Chuckster and the Lizards want the GOP to win elections, don’t they want the Christians to remain involved in the GOP and to vote for GOP candidates??
Would the Chuckster prefer Christians vote Democrat instead?
The LGF Lizards can dream all they want. I am a Christian, and I will keep exercising my right to vote, thank you very much.

Rush Limbaugh used to have a TV show years ago.
I think it was on in the 1990s. I caught several episodes. I forget why it was taken off the air.
no2liberals said,
“So CJ was trashing Ann Coulter, eh?”
Someone else here was saying the other day that they’ve also been trashing Rush Limbaugh at LGF1.
I also read here that the folks at LGF1 were ripping on Sean Hannity a few days ago.
(As I said before on an older thread, Hannity is so innocuous, somewhat dull, and milquetoast, I can’t fathom anyone hating the man.)
I don’t like Coulter’s occasional harsh tone in interviews, but at least she’s a true conservative on most issues.
BTW, I read several chapters from one of Coulter’s books, and she’s not as harsh in her books as she comes across in TV interviews.
Coulter’s writing was rational, reasoned, calm, and in places, quite funny (and without being mean-spirited).
Picking on Rush, Coulter, Sean Hannity, social conservatives, Sarah Palin, and Christians: they are definitely not conservatives over at LGF1, that’s for sure.
So I was bored and went reading an LGF threa about some holocuast denbying bishop, who might be arrested in german. Geert wilders, robert and pamela were given the usual routine smears (apparently Pamela is a goose-stepping nazi now… are there such things as jewish nazis?)
Anyhoo, who knows this winston06 guy? He had a huge meltdown in the latter half of the comments, calling people all sorts of pretty vile names, accusing the entire catholic church of paedophilia (in essence) and generally being an arse. He gets a “timeout”… no “get off my site”, no “so long!”, just a timeout. Probably for a few days.
Ironic comments:
This is less about your problems with LGF than about the problems people I support have faced there. I find it amusing that they’re all now having to undergo the same treatment Pamela, Robert, and everyone else LGF has baselessly accused of various “crimes” from someone embodying through their words the essential nature of LGF: anti-religious, anti-conservative, against everyone that doesn’t agree 100% with certain stated positions…
Ah well.
Cloudy Day,
I am a huge fan of Ann Coulter.
She, like me, is an unapologetic Conservative, and as my nic implies, she, like me, knows the surest way to expose liberals for the phonies they are, is to use the exact same tactics they have employed on us Conservatives for years.
That’s why I think she is a goddess!
Her books display her depth of knowledge from careful research. Her biting, witty responses to liberals, show her ability to take them on, without fear, knowing they cannot match her, without resorting to attempts to shut her up with pie-throwing, or shouting her down.
She can needle them, and drive them to distraction like no other, and should be praised for it, not asked to tone it down.
WHOO-HOO!
Geert Wilders’ PVV is now the number one party in Holland.
Geert-Geert, he’s the man, if he can’t do it, no one can.
Annie,
Here is the transcript to Rush’s speech, and a short video clip.
Wow! no2liberals, that is great news. Leaving aside the great merit of Wilders’s views, he’s a great politician. It also seems that, given a choice, the Dutch aren’t fools.
sk,
I am a firm believer in common sense, and that given the option, most people will recognize it and reward it.
While I have little in agreement with much of what the Dutch people believe in(i.e. euthanasia, abortion, drugs), that they are beginning to recognize what Wilder has to say, is encouraging.
I don’t know how to find Muman…Could any of you pass this message to him? I saw your comment about you don’t why LGF Charles supports Israel as he is an unbeliever. I think I understand why he does it. Israel is also a secular nation as shown by Tel Aviv and compared to the rest of the Middle East, is more modern and reasonable. I think that is why he does it but it seems like lately he is not dealing much with Israeli issues…I have not seen any comments on LGF regarding Netanyahu being given leadership or PM position…maybe it is because I am not going there that often…
Tx to Anastacia and No2Libs for the info. Am looking at it now.
Ann Coulter- I love her. Especially her biting style and the dressing in black like a viper. She is very smart and No2libs you are right they can’t shout her down because she knows her stuff. Here is a clip on youtube of Ann Coulter on The View stating many statistics and all the hosts, all 5 of them, can barely keep up with her.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGbWSfIL1d4
Annie, have I got a surprise for you.
Found it!
Rush’s entire speech, from start to finish.
Tx No2. I’ve been listening to it on youtube. I love the statement that Rush said to the effect of most Americans, to one degree or another, live their lives as conservatives. I really think that might be a great way to reach people on the grass roots level. That is, by illustrating that point, to convince others they really should be voting conservative.
Thanks for the link. I’ll watch more later. I am being so lazy today. You see I am one of those conservative small business owners who busted my ass last week. I am so emotionally and physically tired that it’s nearly 1pm and I am still in bed playing on my HP mini. (That’s why the typing is so bad.) So I’m off to get the day going and get he errands done so I can do it all again tomorrow.
Tx again and thanks for the welcome here.
Annie,
Small business, sole proprietor here.
I never once set foot outside yesterday, I was so gassed from the work week. That’s why I saw it live.
It was a stem-winder, fo’sho’.
Also, you’re welcome.
ANNIE, Like you, I love Ann Coulter and we have all her books. Can’t agree on her writing style, however. She writes with that old instructional maxim – tell ‘em what you’re going to tell them, tell them, and then tell ‘em what you just told them. It gets a bit ponderous. Still, we need more like her.
no2liberals,
Thank you for the Rush link. Missed the first part of his speech. It was great to see. Go Rush!
BTW, had the opportunity to respond to an old friend of mine today who is a flaming liberal. E-mailed her a bit of Rush’s philosophy to tell her how mean and cruel I think Obama is towards hard working Americans. Can’t wait to see what the response is.
Hagar,
That line of his, about how cruel liberals are, was outstanding.
BTW, I left a comment on the Bike thread, the other day, and you may not have seen it.
Thanks for the link you left on the bike thread, No2libs. A virtual ride on a real rocket on the autobahn beats no ride at all by a lot. The first right turn reminded me of one years ago on an interstate riding alone. A pheasant came up and cut across the highway right into my helmet. I’m still here because Nortons just don’t like to fall down. Stay safe. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Hagar,
They don’t build them the way they used to.
While my old BSA was certainly roadworthy, the bikes they build today are amazing.
The Hayabusa’s aerodynamics make it even more stable at high speed, as the wind squashes it down.
I’ve ridden a couple, just for short test runs, and they are buttery smooth…and fast.
Wish they would have had these rockets when I was younger.
no2libs,
You’re a bad influence. I just pulled out my driver’s license to see whether I had dropped the motorcycle classification over the years. No, I hadn’t. Spring is on the way even in northern Illinois. Not a good idea for me to spend too much time talking bikes with a guy like you.
Did you ever play with dirt bikes?
Hagar you never win those arguments. I’m beginning to believe liberalism is a disease. The hope of this country is in our young people and don’t kid yourself, there are a lot of bright, conservative minds.
Hagar,
Got my start on dirt, as all young men should.
Grew up in East Texas, and where I lived, there were many abandoned clay pits, and we would ride our bikes there til we sometimes had to walk them home.
We learned control, with the power as well as maneuvering.
And I ain’t a bad influence. I just know what I like. I new I would ride bikes when I was ten years old, and rode my first Allstate scooter shortly after that. Learned how to wheelie on a Moped, and how to do a smoky burn out on a Honda 750, that I built.
I try to avoid the rivalry that some promote, between cruisers and sport riders, but I can give them an earful if they want to push the issue.
I love bikes, always have, always will.
