Yaza,
You said "I suspect one of the thing’s infuriating him is that his handlers assured him that his flip would be far more widely accepted than it has been. It hasn’t won him any followers from the DU, or Daily KOS, and it’s alienating those who once supported him. And he’s not really libertarian enough for libertarians."

Doubtless the reason for the increasing number of open registration periods. Who do you think his "handlers" are?

I've been a LGF member for years, though I seldom post. I've noticed a downward spiral lately with that blog site. Not allowed to freely give opinions. It's just become a hurrah for Charles sight. Pointless really.

In the same thread linked, here’s one from Kilgore:

43 Killgore Trout

Ugh. That fucking bigot fascist Geert Wilders is calling for an “international first amendment” (no link). This guy is a serious problem.
——————————-

Man, boy, wouldn’t life suck if people had freedom of speech? I’m sure glad that Kilgore Trout is making sure that no one is able to speak freely unless they agree with him. I mean…. really….. he’s upset that Widers is calling for other countries to adopt freedom of speech for citizens??

Wow, to think, Wilders was hero at LGF once.

Escovado said...
The most amusing part is his mass deletion of all your original LGF posts only to end up posting more of you again–himself. Yes, he is trying to trash you, but the irony is quite rich.

Yeah...Johnson has it out for me for sure. He has, more than once or twice, quoted me and subsequently trashed me. Before he deleted my 30,000 comments he referenced a comment I made a Jihad Watch.

I am pleased to be in the company of Geller and Spencer as a target of derision.

I notice that ChenZhen hasn't responded to my question. Of course, that is his choice, but if we are talking motives here, the choice not to respond may be telling.

To make things easier, I'll reprint my response.

ChenZhen, I don’t know you from Adam (though it seems you have a lefty blog, which tells me something), and I’m puzzled. In your latest blog entry on your own blog, you do not question the motives of those who championed the “Obama is the ape in question” narrative. You just disputed the narrative itself (rather well, I’d add). What, then, are the circumstances under which you start ruminating and spouting off concerning motives?

Personally, I’m just about as anti-Islam as one can get. But I’ll tell you this: if I did what Geller did, here would be my “motives.” I’d see a girl who tried to get away from the death cult that she grew up in and was killed for it. I would feel a special sympathy for someone like that, beyond the normal sympathy for a teenager murdered by her family. I’d also know that “honor killings” are a tool that Islam uses to maintain control as it infiltrates Western countries and spreads jihad. Thus, I would be motivated to lessen the effectiveness of this tool. Finally, there is a responsibility to do charitable deeds, and if I had the visibility of PG, I would certainly be inclined to use it for this purpose.

But now back to you, and to your own motives for questioning motives.
