The whole world needs a leader like this!

sharia

Australian PM, Kevin Rudd, makes his case perfectly clear. It’s simple. If you leave your home country because it is crap, don’t try to bring the crap to your new host country.

Lankaweb: Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Kevin angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Quote: ‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘

‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’ ‘We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’ ‘Most Australians believe in God.

This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools.

If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.’ ‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us. ‘

‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.’ ‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE.

We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’ Maybe if we circulate this amongst ourselves, WE will find the courage to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

Update from Bible Believer in Sweden:

Too good to be true

The first part of the message suggests that Prime Minister Howard (Rudd in later versions) told Muslims who wished to live under Islamic Sharia law that they should get out of Australia. This is partly true in the sense that a high profile Australian political leader did make comments suggesting that Islamic extremists who desired to turn Australia into an Islamic state should leave and that Howard condoned such strongly worded rhetoric. However, it was in fact then Federal Treasurer Peter Costello who actually uttered the comments.

I like his point of view too.

You think LGF is going to go after him now?

It is so refreshing to hear that sort of talk nowadays- a very basic common sense attitude like that is hard to find in politics anywhere. I would guess that most ordinary people share that view, so why do we continue to elect left wing weenies who are willing to destroy our culture in the vain attempt of appeasing people who have been indoctorinated to hate and kill us? One need only look to Europe to see where that path has led to.

Yes, I’m sure that CJ will run a pithy, self-righteous thread slamming him
and anybody who agrees with him. I’m sure that Kos and DU are already doing the same thing…..

    Love it.

Yes, I know! Here’s another facist, anti jihad movement is dead, deportation is wrong! White supremecist. Intolerant. Nazi. Kilgore will get upset because Kevin Rudd says Australia is Christian. medaura will claim that Rudd is a member of an anti Albanian Moslem cabal, and she’s offended by Christianity too. Sharmuta will agree with them. At least two more posters will be banned. Charles will play an obscure jazz video and the whole thing will be blamed on Spencer.

Yaza, you probably nailed the reaction up there. I would throw in that after said bannings, there is a mandatory round of “CHARLES, YOU ROCK!”s going around the thread.

    Go Geert :o )
We need the words exposed out here too.

Yaza–notice how truly angry Spencer is in that particular post, and notice the linked post Pamela has up at Atlas Shrugs linking back to the same Newsweek article as well as back to Spencer’s post. It’s this double smackdown of Newsweek and the rage involved is kind of funny.

Err I don’t this article is accurate. Is there a link that actually sources it? The one that is shown doesnt seem to work.

  23. aussie_dave
    23 | February 18, 2009 8:01 pm

OK I read the other link provided. So it is a complete hoax. I didn’t think K Rudd would say such things. Not saying I would complain if he did but he didn’t so, why leave it up.

Well, I hope, what the PM is quoted as saying is true. Finally, someone standing up to people who go to a country, for what ever reason, who then want to turn it into something they ran away from.

I’ve always believed in “when in Rome do as the Romans”.

    aussie-dave,

    Sorry it’s not true!

  26. Aussie Infidel
    26 | February 19, 2009 12:16 am

Agreed. I did some research and the so called Rudd statement originated somewhere in the US. I should have realized when I read ;;;; ‘Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, ‘…….

Aussies don’t HAVE a pledge! A sure give away that this was crafted in the States by an ethnocentric American who knows ’squat’ about Australia. My apologies for the mis- direction folks.

I KNEW I couldn’t trust a Labor Party Prime minister to say anything so realistic!

Former PM John Howard was much more forward in his thinking as was his deputy Costello.

  27. aussie_dave
    27 | February 19, 2009 2:24 am

    methinks Costello may rise soon.

    28 | February 19, 2009 3:26 pm

    Yes, I am back.
And, yes, I am still an islamophobe.

These words by the aussie makes sense in a rational world. However, we don’t live in a rational world anymore. We live in a politically correct world now, where truth is replaced by “sensitivities” and “offenses”.

  29. 29 | February 20, 2009 7:23 am

Aussie Dave- I left it up because that’s what happens in a blogmocracy. Sometimes we screw up. We’re not ashamed of it … warts and all :o )

(plus I found it cowardly when 1.0 deleted threads after Charles realized he screwed up) I say we note a correction, but don’t try to hide what happened.

    :o )

    Arwyn

I think the only way to be respectable is to admit when we are wrong.

Any newspaper that would not do the same would be considered untrustworthy, just as LGF is.

  31. 31 | February 20, 2009 10:14 am

    Bar, my thinking exactly.

  32. ageless
    32 | February 26, 2009 8:54 pm

A simple google search as I have done clearly shows that Kevin Rudd’s so called comments are a hoax. The same email was claimed to have been said by John Howard our previous Prime Minister.

By the way Australia does have a pledge.

On joining the defence forces new recruits pledge allegance to the Queen.

Immigrants who become Australian Citizens pledge allegance to the Queen.

I agree that the email may have originated in the US but to acually claim that it did because the US Has similar beliefs to other countries is rediculous

By the way I’m a true blue Aussie
