The last link dump is now hard to find. So here is a new one.

    Stupidity in our time.

Taleban tax: allied supply convoys pay their enemies for safe passage

The Times has learnt that it is in the outsourcing of convoys that payoffs amounting to millions of pounds, including money from British taxpayers, are given to the Taleban. The controversial payments were confirmed by several fuel importers, trucking and security company owners. None wanted to be identified because of the risk to their business and their lives. “We estimate that approximately 25 per cent of the money we pay for security to get the fuel in goes into the pockets of the Taleban

Bar, for military supply lines? WTF?

Lieutenant-Commander James Gater, a spokesman for Nato forces in Afghanistan, said that the transport of Nato supplies was contracted to commercial firms and how they got them into the country was their business.

“I can confirm that we use two European-headquartered companies to supply food and fuel, though for contractual reasons it is not prudent for us to name them. They provide their own security as part of that contract. Such companies are free to subcontract to whomsoever they wish.

“We are aware they do prefer to subcontract from the countries in which they are operating. In Pakistan they prefer to use Pakistani trucking companies, in Afghanistan they prefer Afghan trucking companies. That is a commercial decision for them.”

That is a dumbass decision from NATO.

Pay them, they can fight more, so you have to pay them because they are fighting more! Idiots. What has happened to the west? Gater, it is YOUR business if it is helping forces fighting against YOU. TOOL!

    arwynkafir,
This is another example of why I feel Iraq was a waste. We created an Islamic State not a Secular Democracy.

I know what you mean, but I think they had a little something to do with that. We gave them a choice.

The bulk of the article talked about Sunnis po’ed because they don’t have a say in things, but they are the ones that sat out in the elections. It’s up to them what they do with their country. I have family that went to Iraq, and neither one thinks it was a waste.

    Not yet.

I hope they don’t waste it, even though some are trying very hard to do just that. Others are trying hard to make something out of the country. Like Nahla Hussain who wanted better for the women of Iraq, beheaded by “gunmen”. They wanted the pleasure of slicing through her neck. Sick.

Japanese people taste the best, whites are too smelly and salty.

The Japs already build better cars, watches, knives, robots, machinery and electronics than us, they score higher on IQ tests, live longer, healthier lives, and have a far lower crime rate. Now we find out they taste better too, how depressing.

RE 11 Let me guess. The rioting from the Jihadis intensifies when the mosque services end? Do you think it is the jihadi preacher? Thanks for posting this the news cycle in the US has not covered this yet. Maybe they are still working on how to spin it.
