Enough is enough of radical Islam

by Benjamin Shapiro

Enough with the pseudonyms. Western civilization isn’t at war with terrorism any more than it is at war with grenades. Western civilization is at war with militant Islam, which dominates Muslim communities all over the world. Militant Islam isn’t a tiny minority of otherwise goodhearted Muslims. It’s a dominant strain of evil that runs rampant in a population of well over 1 billion.

Enough with the psychoanalysis. They don’t hate us because of Israel. They don’t hate us because of Kashmir. They don’t hate us because we have troops in Saudi Arabia or because we deposed Saddam Hussein. They don’t hate us because of Britney Spears. They hate us because we are infidels, and because we don’t plan on surrendering or providing them material aid in their war of aggressive expansion.

Enough with the niceties. We don’t lose our souls when we treat our enemies as enemies. We don’t undermine our principles when we post more police officers in vulnerable areas, or when we send Marines to kill bad guys, or when we torture terrorists for information. And we don’t redeem ourselves when we close Guantanamo Bay or try terrorists in civilian courts or censor anti-Islam comics. When it comes to war, extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.

You might want to read it all.

Avid, yes it is great. It warms my heart to read people who “get it”. Of course then I’ll head over to MSDNC and reality will hit again. Our country is asleep.

You can’t fight a humane war. You can’t fight a war where you refuse to identify your enemy.

Are ALL muslims here to kill us? No. Who is our enemy? Those who want to and those who support them.

But this is not a new war. Barbary Pirates, centuries of islamic war. People like to rip on Christianity for the Crusades, but they forget who they fought in those Crusades.

    They’re fighting just about everything.

Malaysia’s Johar State May Ban Yoga

Malaysia’s southern state of Johor is likely to implement a ban on Muslims from practising yoga in the wake of a decree from the National Fatwa Council that recently declared the ancient Indian physical exercise as ‘haram’ (prohibited) in Islam, media reports said.

State Religious Committee, chairman Zainal Abidin Osman said the state fatwa council, had decided to toe the line of the National Fatwa Council, which declared that the practice of yoga was ‘haram’ for Muslims, saying it had elements of “Hindu spiritual teachings.”

The National Fatwa Council’s ruling came after a so-called professor in Islamic studies said he feared that practising yoga by Muslims may deviate them from their faith.

If he is a “so-called professor in Islamic studies” why is it even an issue? He must have quranic backing or he would have been laughed at. And the “National Fatwa Council” agreed with him.

UK missionaries David and Fiona Fulton jailed in Gambia [for sedition]

A British missionary couple have appeared in court and been charged with sedition following their arrest a week ago in The Gambia, a largely Muslim nation and popular package tourist destination.

David Fulton, 60, and his wife Fiona, 46, were reportedly offered bail of £125,000 each which they have been unable to pay. They were arrested last Saturday accused of inciting rebellion against the government.

Police said the Fultons had sent letters critical of the government to individuals and groups. The couple were paraded on state television earlier in the week.

    And toward the end:

Rights groups were outraged earlier this year when Mr Jammeh told a rally that he would make the country’s ban on homosexuality “tougher than the Iranian laws” and threatened to behead homosexuals giving them 24 hours to leave the country.

Could someone explain to me how Sura sees only Christian enemies of homosexuality, and somehow defends islam?

Lol……that article made the front page at Sadly,No! the other day and was roundly mocked. In all fairness Shapiro is just a kid and I’ll cut him some slack for his lack of life experience.

That was a great read. Thanks. I appreciate all of the articles about Islam and dhimmitude. This is what drew me initially to LGF and what keeps me coming back here. Thanks.

sure…. It is cool and hip to rip on Christianity, but politically incorrect to rip on islam.

Of course, it isn’t christian run countries that execute homosexuals for being homosexual like… well… Iran.

Sura is a liberal or an illiberal really and that says it all, trying to make sense of utter non-sense is what makes people crazy.

The liberal mind set is akin to being mentally ill, that is why LGF is so hard to figure out.

Wow, Sura, I’m glad you’re here to deflect some of the flak from me….LOL….keep posting! I see certain aspects of Christian Fundamentalism as a threat as well despite being a Christian myself. This does not, however, mean that I want to insult Christianity or even Christians while defending Islam. I do, however, defend my Muslim friends who have nothing to do with this madness any more than I do.

    And yes, I love Sadly,No!.
