Un Anti-Semitism

The UN is having a gathering supposedly stopping racism. In reality when the last time this happened at Durban, It turned into an Israel bashing fest. The US, Israel and other nations need to leave the UN. The UN is a Leftist-Islamic organization whose goal is to a establish a Marxist-Islamic hybrid state.

The U.N.’s Racist Conference On Racism

When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You are talking anti-Semitism. –The Rev. Martin Luther King, 1968

The remarks above, which the Rev. King reportedly made at a Harvard University dinner, shortly before his assassination, are quoted in a U.S. State Department report released this past March in response to “rising anti-Semitism worldwide.” I came across them while seeking background on a notoriously anti-Semitic United Nations conference held in 2001 in Durban, South Africa. Billed as an effort to fight racism, that Durban conclave focused instead on vilifying Israel–whipping up hatred to such an extreme that then- Secretary of State Colin Powell ordered the U.S. delegation to walk out.

I wonder what the Rev. King would make of the U.N.’s current drive to reprise that festival of prejudice, in the form of a “Durban Review Conference,” scheduled for April 2009 in Geneva, Switzerland. Even more to the point, because Durban II looms as an early foreign-policy test of the next U.S. administration, what will President-elect Obama do about it?

Same as it ever was, maybe worse.

(pdf) SHATTERING THE RED LINES: THE DURBAN II DRAFT DECLARATION

    Summary
The dominant thesis of the 88-page Durban II draft declaration (“Draft Outcome Document”)* is that the U.S., Western Europe, Israel, and other liberal democracies—their principles, institutions, policies, respective histories and national identities—are singularly racist, and, in addition, discriminatory against Islam. Free speech, wealth, globalization, security measures to combat anti-Western terrorism—all of these are attacked as causes of racism, discrimination, and the “defamation of Islam.” Indeed, the new language seeking to distort human rights law for the purposes of Islamic censorship makes the Durban II draft even more regressive than the 2001 text.

In particular, the draft—compiled by a committee that includes Libya as chair, and Iran, Pakistan, and Cuba as vice-chairs—focuses on one specific country, Israel, which it portrays as the enemy of humanity, using language lifted verbatim from the notorious 2001 Tehran Declaration.

This report examines a small selection of the 646 provisions of the Durban II draft declaration, highlighting several that breach the European Union’s red lines. As set forth by France on behalf of the EU, in a 19 September 2008 statement to the UN Human Rights Council, the EU red lines reject (1) singling out one region of the world in particular; (2) reopening the 2001 Durban declaration by inserting a prohibition against “defamation of religion,” designed to restrict free speech and impose the censorship of Islamic anti-blasphemy laws; (3) drawing up an order of priority among victims; and (4) politicizing or polarizing the discussion.

Earlier this year, French President Nicolas Sarkozy pledged—“without ambiguity”—to withdraw the EU from the Durban II process if the 2001 excesses repeated themselves and the EU’s concerns were ignored. His presidency of the EU, and ability to act on the pledge, concludes on December 31, 2008.

An alien observer, viewing our planet and its tiny human inhabitants objectively, would sample the UN archives and conclude that we are not an intelligent species. Let’s see there are at any given time, what?, a dozen major conflicts in the world? A objective observer would also see that over the last 60 years, there have been dozens and dozens of displaced refugees as a result of conflict. Yet, the UN in its resolutions and other activities has obsessively focused on one conflict that, at most, has involved 0.002% of the world’s population.

The alien observer would conclude that not only are we a violent species, which is bad enough, but also that we are an irrational species, with our trans-national UN focusing hugely disproportionately on conflict that involves a numerically almost insignificant number of people.

With a little more work, the alien observer would see that not only has the UN focused insanely on this issue, but it has condemned the more sane side in this so-called conflict exclusively. The more violent and insane side has consistently been favored by the UN.

So the alien observer would conclude that we are an insane and irrational species, and that our violent tendencies are far more significant and rewarded than our peaceful ones.

The alien observer would then mark our planet as a no-go zone or order the destruction of this planet, where the main body supposedly representing the consensus of the world condones violence and death over everything else.

Interesting that I support and defend the Constitution AND oppose the UN.

Well, strange really….. such things were foretold. But don’t worry, the government is here to protect you from folks who would defend the Constitution and oppose the UN.
