This War Is Not About Grievances

A great article in National Review. It’s time for the Media to stop coming up with excuses for Islamic Jihadists. Every time there’s a terror attack done by Muslims, excuses are made. Many people are getting sick of it.

This War Is Not About Grievances

The attack in India was not the test of Barack Obama’s mettle that Joseph Biden has predicted. But it was a test. The terrorists were communicating who they are and what they want. Obama, like the rest of us, can choose to understand — or we can wrap ourselves in comforting illusions.

The Times of India instructed its readers: “Terrorists have no religion.” That’s a lovely sentiment but it bears no relationship to reality. In Mumbai — as in London, Madrid, Bali, New York, Jerusalem and so many other places — the slaughter was carried out by men who regarded themselves as jihadis, holy warriors, doing Allah’s will. Aijaz Zaka Syed, a columnist for the Dubai-based Khaleej Times, faces this fact: “How many innocents have to die in the name of Islam,” he asked, “before Muslim leaders and countries take effective action to deal with the nuts, who are out to destroy us all with their nihilistic cult?”

Muslims never do wrong according to the Leftist media. They are always right and the whole world is wrong!

For some reason the link isn’t working for me. Maybe it’s my machine, but just in case:

Funny, today’s “Fresh Air” program on NPR was about “Islamic Terrorism and organized crime”. And yes, it was called “Islamic terrorism”. It can happen.

Lex, they cleaned up their act in the online summary.

Behind The Terror: The Role Of Organized Crime
Investigative journalist David Kaplan says that terrorists often use organized crime tactics — and profits — to execute their activities. He discusses the link between terrorism and criminal syndicates, and how that relationship may have played out in the recent attacks on Mumbai.

I might have to listen to the whole 39 mins just to hear it. It might not happen again.

Grievances? When will we hear about grievances of non-Muslims who have suffered at the hands of Muslims – killed, dhimmified or sued by Muslims?

Non-Muslim victims of Muslim aggression are the ones who have legitimate grievances.

Muslims have been treated with exceptional delicacy and even favored over non-Muslims throughout the non-Muslim world. What grievances could the possibly have, beyond the grievance that some non-Muslims have not yet submitted to Islam.

Again, non-Muslims are the ones who have legitimate grievances, not Muslims.

No matter how many terrorist attacks there are, and no matter what groups carry them out, we must never fear, resist or mock the precious and ever peaceful Islam. Who are we to say that raping 6 year-olds is immoral? Who are we to say that stoning gays and rape victims to death is evil?

Who are we to say that killing hundreds of people every month in the name of Allah is the height of evil? That is just their culture and ideology and it MUST be respected. Morality is all relative, we must remember that.
