Think Progress Bashes Catholic Church over opposition to Gay Marriage

Think Progress always defends Islam. They are silent on how Gays are treated in Islamic nation and seek to silence those that expose Islam. The Catholic Church is open season at Think Progress. They now bash the Catholics over their opposition to a bill that would open the door to Gay Marriage worldwide.

Vatican criticized for opposing UN decriminaliztion of homosexuality

Here are the Catholic bashing comments:

lokidog Says:
Of course the Vatican is disappointed.
They were hoping for the decriminalization of child molestation.

49erDem Says:

Catholics had a lot to do with the passage of Prop 8 in California. Here’s an idea for a new proposition: since there have been, ummm, problems with Catholic priests and children, let’s change the California consitution to read that Catholic priests must stay a minimum of 100 ft away from children at all times.Catholics: you wouldn’t argue with “the will of the majority” would you?

According to progressive thought, first rule—Islam is always right.

If Islam is ever wrong, see first rule.

What we have here is a case of institutionalized counterculturalism. Since Islam is a minority in the US and Catholicism one of the larger sect of the dominant faith in the US, Christianity, the progressive mind always starts with the postulates that Islam is right and Catholicism is wrong.

The Progressives have taken counterculture to the point that they’ve institutionalized and now react in the same dogmatic fashion as though that they rant and rail against.

I’m not Catholic but I am growing weary of the Catholic bashing. Not that is unexpected with respect to those so woefully blind to evil like this Think Progress Crowd of wimpy loons.

First, let’s be clear. A vast majority (99.9%) of Catholic priests are completely innocent of any wrong doing, have never molested children, and in fact, provide a very strong pillar for our entire American community, irrespective of your religious faith. Any time you venture to hospital for an emergency, are fed a warm meal when you find yourself hungry and without shelter, or are without hope and need a friend, chances are good you’ll be cared for on account of those wicked priests or nuns, by a Catholic that was taught that by a priest or nun.

Can the Think Progress crowd show us any measure of their good works? No, I didn’t think so.

Second, if you are Christian, the Bible makes it abundantly clear that any damage done to children by any adult, they would be better to have a millstone tied around their neck and thrown into the sea. But…

The Bible also calls homosexuality an abomination. So for the Think Progress Crowd, let me give you a little hint about your progress.

You will be joining the molesting priests for all of eternity…welcome to the club.

Is there an Islamic leader of the same stature and renown as the Catholic Pope making any political pronouncements that we progressives can respond to? We’d gladly “bash” him as readily if there as an equivalent oppression of human rights.

    Rodan,

There’s people that call themselves Muslim who I still respect that are decent people. But there is no doubt that Islam itself is evil. There is a large segment of the Islamic population I actually pity for having to live under the tyranny of fanatics. And I’ll explain why.

To talk to the cowards at Think Progress, you would imagine that they are also living under tyranny because the majority calling themselves Christian won’t bend to their wishes of rebuilding Sodom. However, everyone will note, that being a vast majority of Americans call themselves Christian and still continue to allow their religion to be mocked without fear of reprisal, choosing to follow the law of the ballot box. And since the leftist pussies at Think Progress really understand this, they’ll continue to rant and whine because they stay in a continual state of tantrum, never fearing for their own lives. Because if Priests were really evil like the Mullahs instead of the very definition of tolerance, the Think Progress cowards would find themselves without their head right about now.

However, most Muslims live under this fear of physical retaliation, proving once again Islam is a false religion and the progressives of America are not only cowards, but thankless hypocrites and maggots of the highest order.

I consider myself Christian and I love the gays. Anyone that knows me knows this is true.

Civil Unions would give them the same “legal protections” of anyone else. They don’t want that (the missing rights they’re bitching about). Gay marriage is just a way to try to legislate acceptance.

I hate to tell them that Christians aren’t the only ones that are against homosexuality and not only that, all Christians don’t feel that way anyway.

I say: Yeah, he releases a video every few months from that cave in Pakistan. only problem is, you DON’T bash him. You talk about how we need to be sensitive to their needs and not deal so heavy handedly with them, then take cheap shots at Catholics inferring that they all like to diddle little children.

And yet, it is the liberal groups that YOU support that happen to want to make it legal to diddle little children.

Remember, Patriotic Liberal Christian, you are judged by your actions and the causes you support qualify as your actions. So, one day, when you answer to the Creator, he’ll ask about why you support the legalization of diddling little children and the support of the normalization of homosexuality.

There are only a couple things in the bible that God says are truely horrible. One is turning away from Him, the other is sexual impurity. It is the Left which embraces both.

Go ahead and talk about ‘acceptance’ and how Christ ate with the ’sinners’ . . . go ahead and preach about the pacifist Jesus. He never was. His disciples quaked in fear of upsetting Christ. He regularly called out those who were doing wrong and ripped into them. He made a weapon and cleared out the temple…..

and you are content ripping on the Catholic Church and coddling islamic terrorism.

Yes, LanceKates, there is Osama bin Ladin—whom I think is dead, but that’s beside the point—; There’s Ahmadenijad, constantly talking about the coming of the 12th Imam, and apparently planning to help him along with nukes. There was the late, unlamented Ayatollah Khomeni, and the gaggle of mullahs he left behind, to tyrannize over Iran. And, while not quite a holy man, there’s the late, far-too-lamented Yassir Arafat, the bloody terrorist, whom the Left canonized as a saintly hero, champion of the Palestinian people. So there are any number of Islamic leaders who hold stature equal to the pope—and many of whom can command actual armies and finance terrorists (like our dear “friends”, the Saudis); the pope doesn’t have any armies (no, Opus Dei and the Swiss guards in the funny costumes don’t count), and he’s a pauper compared to many oil-rich Islamic leaders. So, I’d say in a lot of ways, some of them possess far more clout than he does.

But the first rule of the Left is—Islam is never wrong.

If Islam is wrong—see the first rule. Then shout down those who disagree with you.

Exact same principles why Islam sided with the Nazis in WWII as with this. The common enemy is Judeo/Christian faith in the bible. Speaking as a Christian, The New Testament doctrine is plain in that ALL have sinned and need to turn to follow the path of righteousness, and that “Christian” is not a title without the price of wholesale commitment [deny yourself and take up your cross and follow me as Jesus put it]. From this teaching, no man is no better than anyone else before God and all need a Savior. Christians cannot condemn anybody to hell by their own merits because the whole covenant is offered “while yet we were ALL sinners Christ died for us”. This is how I form my attitude towards Gays, Muslims, Atheists etc…my job now is to simply spread the good news and God is the ultimate Judge of humanity.

But here is the distinction between “Kings and Priests”. Kings, which means established Government acting on honorable principles are reserve the right to punish evil and make war…while the Priests, offer invitations of the faith and call for spiritual renewal. This is where the Forefathers of America derived “Separation of powers” from. The churches’ job is not to make war & law and the Government’s job is not make religion. The two interact in principles that guide and uphold integrity of each other, but do not hinder the free exercise there of. I want Gays and Muslims to become Christians before any conflict…but at the same time I love my neighbor and I will not let any destruction come to his/her doorstep. I will protect my Nation and act like a Christian while honoring the separation of powers.

I for one do not have much love for the vatican

Here is one of many reasons why

Jasenovac became the largest and most important concentration camp (sabirni logor) and extermination camp complex in the Nezavisna Hrvatska Drzava (NDH), Independent State of Croatia, during World War II. The Jasenovac concentration camp complex would be crucial in the systematic and planned genocide of the Orthodox Serbs and Jews by the Catholic Croats and Bosnian Muslims.

Other concentration camps were established in Sisak, Stara Gradiska, Djakovo, Lepoglava, Loborgrad. In all, there would be 22 concentration camps in the NDH, almost half of which were commanded by Roman Catholic Croatian priests.

    http://www.holocaustresearchproject.org/othercamps/images/Jasenovac%20prisoner%20being%20beheaded%20with%20a%20saw.jpg

The treatment of inmates was so horrific that on the night of August 29, 1942, bets were made among the prison guards as to who could liquidate the largest number of inmates. One of the guards, Petar Brzica reportedly cut the throats of 1,360 prisoners with a butcher knife. A gold watch, a silver service, a roasted suckling pig, and wine were among his rewards.

n addition to the horrendous conditions in the Jasenovac camps, the guards also cruelly tortured, terrorized, and murdered prisoners at will. Here the most varied forms of torture were used: finger and toe nails were pulled out with metal instruments, eyes were dug out with specially constructed hooks, people were blinded by having needles stuck in their eyes, flesh was cut and then salted.

People were also flayed, had their noses, ears and tongues cut off with wire cutters, and had awls stuck in their hearts. Daughters were raped in front of their mothers, sons were tortured in front of their fathers.

The prisoners and all those who ended up in Jasenovac had their throats cut by the Ustaša with specially designed knives, or they were killed with axes, mallets and hammers; they were also shot, or they were hung from trees or light poles. Some were burned alive in hot furnaces, boiled in cauldrons, or drowned in the River Sava.

Then there is then Catholic ratlines. It is accepted that Catholic priests, notably Hudal and Draganović, were actively involved in smuggling wanted war criminals. What is disputed is the extent to which their actions were sanctioned by higher authorities within the Church.

It should not be forgotten Draganovic helped the Ustashe launder the stolen treasure with the help of the Vatican Bank: This money was used to fund its religious activities, but also to fund the escape of Ustashe leaders on the Rat Line.

The Vatican is not to be trusted

Like Darwinism is just sound science, and even like science itself can explain the origins of life to begin with. Science is testable, observable, repeatable…none of which Darwinism is. Science is not “anti-God” beliefs by default. If the evidence points to a origin that defies all explanation by natural means, then Intelligent design theory is just as viable theory to present as the Darwin theory [last time I checked Darwinism is still called a theory]. Man you come across as a LGFer with the rant.

Standing up to preserve the definition of marriage is not “horrible”. Maybe to extreme left wing nutz who think a real family can be daddy & daddy or mommmy & mommy. I’ll reject gay marriage if it came to Minnesota.

Like Bush is a true conservative, hardly…the guy for the last 4 years has been swimming in a moderate, liberal leaning PC ocean that has disenchanted real true to principles conservatives across the nation.

Is this the classic attempt of deflection by trying to tear down one side that only serves to offer apologetics for the other as “they are not so bad, just look at the other side!!!” ???

Come on….

The left is a bunch of hypocrites, and you apparently are their leader. This is little more than the same mentality that it takes to call the American Flag “Tacky” (A certain CA Congresswoman), and now we see liberals rush to the flag as fairweather fans because ‘their guy’ won.

Liberalism is little more than an egocentric and childish lifestyle of wiggling around in a temper tantrum every time you don’t get your way and then screaming when the ‘other side’ does what you say you love to do.

Here’s a case in point. One Congressman was caught running a homosexual brothel out of his apartment. Another Congressman was engaging in the activity of picking up a homosexual man in a bathroom of an airport with some creative foot tapping. Which one of the two was in the news? A small group of wrong people, and the bishops who shuffle them off to new parishes to cover up their crimes instead of defrocking their kiddie-diddling asses and turning them over to the police for the prosecution that they deserve. To say nothing of the archbishops and cardinals, and yes, Maledict XVI, who aren’t whacking said bishops over the head. Yes, the RCC as an institution is culpable.

One Congressman was caught running a homosexual brothel out of his apartment. Another Congressman was engaging in the activity of picking up a homosexual man in a bathroom of an airport with some creative foot tapping.

    Quoth a well-referenced Wikipedia paragraph:

In 1990, the House voted to reprimand Frank when it was revealed that Steve Gobie, a male escort whom Frank had befriended after hiring him through a personal advertisement, claimed to have conducted an escort service from Frank’s apartment when he was not at home.[7] Frank fired Gobie earlier in 1990 and reported the incident to the House Ethics Committee after learning of Gobie’s activities. After an investigation, the Ethics Committee found no evidence that Frank had known of or been involved in the alleged illegal activity and dismissed all of Gobie’s more scandalous claims.[8][9] The committee recommended that Frank receive a formal reprimand for his relationship with a prostitute.[10] Attempts to expel or censure Frank, led by Republican member Larry Craig (who himself was later embroiled in his own gay sexual scandal), failed.[11][12] Rather, the House voted 408-18 to reprimand Frank who later won re-election in 1990 with 66 percent of the vote, and has won by larger margins ever since.[13]

So, it would seem, one of Barney Frank’s pals ran an “escort service” out of Frank’s apartment. Frank told him to piss off when he found out. And isn’t this juicy — the Publican toe-tapper himself tried to get Frank kicked out!

Well, nope. Your story WOULD be true, except that it would require that Barney Frank have no clue that his apartment was turned into a den of homosexual prostitution. Given that he is a CONGRESSMAN, you’ll understand why I find that impossible to believe.

Meanwhile, the toe-tapper hates on them Feelthy Queers® and it turns out he’s a Feelthy Queer® himself. Hypocrisy, thine initials are G, O, and P.

Which one of the two was in the news?

    Both of them. Next!

Once again…. you give Frank a pass and spew hatred against the REpublican. You say that I hate gay people, but then you really seem to rip on a homosexual for being a homosexual while being a Republican.

Who is it who is the hateful bigot? . . . I guess that’d be you.

Nambla. You have heard of it…. yes?

And you seem to know an awful lot about it, no?

See, I can make insinuations and bald, unproven assertions too.

They found support from the liberal left

…Still waiting for proof that “the left”, whatever that is, supports kiddie diddling. And no, some shadowy organization that might or might not even exist outside the fever-dreams of wingnuts is not “the left”.

Oh… well. Who am I to argue with Wikipedia. They’ve always been shown to be SO truthful and intellectually honest……

That’s what the references are for. You know, the little numbers in the brackets, like this one: [1], where you can fact-check the claims.

Well, nope. Your story WOULD be true, except that it would require that Barney Frank have no clue that his apartment was turned into a den of homosexual prostitution.

Here’s one of those references. Yeah, it’s Media Matters, which is Librul Librul LIBRUL THEY’RE COMING TO TAKE ME AWAY! etc…

Not only have Representative Frank’s landlords, Colonel and Mrs. James Daugherty, submitted sworn testimony contradicting Mr. Gobie’s assertion, Mr. Gobie’s assertion has also been rendered questionable by the fact that his claims of call-forwarding service were contradicted by the telephone company.

That’s MM quoting the Ethics Committee BTW. Evidently the Ethics Committee wasn’t convinced that this prostitution ring even existed.

Once again…. you give Frank a pass

See above. There’s no “there” there.

and spew hatred against the REpublican.

I’ll remember this bit of pique the next time some wingnut spews about the “Democrat Party”.

You say that I hate gay people,

Well, lessee, calling them “deviants” and repeating Publican lies about a gay congressman doesn’t show your attitude about the Feelthy Queers®. Right. Got it.

but then you really seem to rip on a homosexual for being a homosexual while being a Republicanhypocrite.

    FTFY.

    #40:
    Well, lessee, calling them “deviants”

But referring to their sexual proclivities and leanings is not “hateful.”

A man placing his penis in another man’s mouth or anus (or fantasizing about doing so and wanting to do so) is pretty dang deviant.

I’ve read online articles that point out that homosexual organizations have published pro-pedophilia articles by NAMBA members and by other pedophiles.

They’ve also permitted NAMBLA members to ride on floats in their “homosexual rights” parades.

If that is true, it’s pretty hard to make a case that homosexuality had nothing to do with harming children.

Gay Rights Chief Held Over Child Porn

A LEADING campaigner for gay rights is in jail awaiting trial on a child porn charge.

Jamie Rennie, 37, who has worked with Big Brother star John Loughton, has been charged over indecent images of a child. He is also charged with sending an offensive message.

Because we can only place one link per message, I’ll do a few more posts, each with one link to a news story.

Man accused of raping, stalking mentally disabled R.I. man

    May 7, 2008
BOSTON – A man accused of raping and stalking a mentally disabled man is being held without bail in Bristol County after he was allegedly seen peeping in the window of the alleged victim’s group home in Foster, R.I.

Buddy Smith, 22, of Fall River, is accused of terrorizing the 25-year-old man, even as his family moved him from place to place to get him away from Smith.

Smith is charged with rape, indecent assault and battery on a retarded person and witness intimidation after allegedly sexually assaulting the man multiple times between 2004 and 2006, said Gregg Miliote, a spokesman for Bristol District Attorney Samuel Sutter.

Here’s a story about two homosexual males who sexually attacked and killed a little boy:

Justice Served In Jesse Dirkhising Murder Case

    Washington, DC -

“The conviction of homosexual sadist Joshua Brown for the torture, rape, and murder of 13-year-old Jesse Dirkhising, is a relief to those of us in the pro-family community,” said Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, Chairman of Traditional Values Coalition.

“Brown has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping Jesse, but still faces life in prison on the murder charge.”

… TVC notes that the mainstream news media, which made Matthew Shepard a household name, has been strangely silent on the murder of Jesse Dirkhising by homosexual sadists.

A report in the Washington Times on March 23, 2001, indicates that none of the major networks, except Fox, have covered the Dirkhising murder trial. The New York Times, Washington Post, and USA Today have also neglected to cover this story.

“One can only wonder how the media would have covered a story involving two heterosexual men who tortured and murdered a homosexual teenager,” observed Sheldon.

“Why is the death of Jesse Dirkhising of less importance than the death of Matthew Shepard at the hands of two killers? Is it because discussing the perverted lifestyle of Jesse’s murderers isn’t politically correct?”

“The murder of every person is a great tragedy,” said Sheldon. “The media should not pick and choose which murders to cover depending upon the sexual orientation of the killers. Jesse’s torture and murder is as great a tragedy as Matthew Shepard’s death.”

I have many more such stories I can post, about homosexuals raping, discriminating against, or hurting other homosexuals, or doing so to “straight” people.

Homosexuals are not innocent little victims.

I can post more such stories, but I’ll leave off with this one (a recent one) – it shows how intolerant some homosexuals are-

As I stated in another thread, Matthew Shepard was not killed for being a homosexual:
ABC News: New Details Emerge in Matthew Shepard Murder

The story garnered national attention when the attack was characterized as a hate crime. But Shepard’s killers, in their first interview since their convictions, tell “20/20’s” Elizabeth Vargas that money and drugs motivated their actions that night, not hatred of gays.

    Hey Lance,

Don’t bother Sura about Bwarney Frank’s prostitution ring. He’s too busy right now covering for Bwarney grabbing the old peter puff (that’s normal, isn’t Mr. Straight but not Narrow?) for the Fannie Mae loan while Bwarney was trying to cover bankrupting the country in conjunction with Obambi’s financial folks.

    Odd thing about Barney Frank.

He was on the TV a few weeks back, ranting about how we need some sort of oversight over the financial industry.

During a Financial Oversight COmmittee meeting. A committee that he is on.

must have a page under is desk when he’s supposed to be paying attention to where he is and what he’s doing.

Whatever Tex. You’ve just decided not to like me. Little can you find to prove that I am what you claim I am, as usual. I needn’t prove my devotion to G-d to you, only to Him.

    Lex,

You always mistake my criticism as not liking you. Why’s that? I’m simply pointing out that you have real inconsistencies in your judgment, depending upon which place you pop up.

Actually, you’re one of the few libs I do kind of like, generally find you pretty clever, and even sometimes funny.

But you can’t continually side with worms like this Feelthy Queers® Sura 109 maggot and not have some major character flaws in judgment. Read his stuff and tell me this isn’t a head case, hatemonger, and lost cause…
