DJM, this is great stuff. One very minor quibble: when you refer to the Hadith, please indicate which collection of ahadith you are referencing, e.g, Bukhari or Abu Muslim.

I know many ex-muslims personally. I find them to be incredibly wonderful, friendly,and intelligent people. I love talking to them and being with them. So I don’t doubt you when you say there are some good people who are muslim.

Unfortunately, there are too many “good” muslims who turn a blind eye on islamic terrorism because, according to them, the terrorists are not “real” muslims. Yet, when an infidel draws a cartoon of your prophet, these “good” muslims suddenly find the time and effort to express some true outrage.

On the quran: it should be able to stand on its own. It is supposed to be the word of god, is it not? It shouldn’t need multiple sources to verify it validity.

Tell you what, Azmi. I’m one who loves to learn, and understanding islam happens to be one of my passions. Point me to some of your ‘multiple sources of fact’ about islam and/or the quran, and I’ll read them. But you have to do something for me. Go to http://www.youtube.com/AhmadsQuran3 and choose ANY 3 of the more than 187 video lessons and tell me where they are wrong. Please provide a ’source of fact’ to backup your claim.
