We're not easily offended and don't want people to think they have to walk on eggshells around here (like at another place that shall remain nameless) but of course, there is a limit to everything.
Play nice!

I know a lot of you will have fun with this thread, so I don’t mean to rain on the parade here, and I can see and appreciate that this jokey P.S.A. (Public Service Announcement) is brought to us by a group of self-professing moderate Muslims, but…
I would never go out of my way to offend someone else over their religious beliefs, and certainly not by intentionally vandalizing something they consider sacred or important to their faith.
I don’t like Islam at all, but I (and I’m a Christian) know I don’t appreciate it when people do stuff like place a crucifix in a jar of urine and say it’s “art.”
The only time I could maybe condone this kind of thing (and this is a big “maybe,” as I’m somewhat undecided) is if its express purpose is in order to make a statement in support of free speech.
I know that a lot of extremist Muslims try to intimidate their critics into silence, so I can kind of see doing stuff like what that European newspaper did, when they published those Mohammed cartoons a few years ago, to say they were still going to support free speech/press.
Other than that, I don’t think doing this kind of thing is constructive.
I do not think Footbaths should be in airports or in taxpayer pain places. If I see on in the bathroom I will urinate in it. Lucky I have yet to see one. I do not think a crucifix in a jar of urine should be funded by taxpayers which it was.
#2, avideditor.
I hope I did not give the wrong impression.
I’m not in support of Muslims trying to turn us into Dhimmis, and I’m not in favor of Muslims getting special treatment.
It’s not that I support their desire to have footbaths all over the place, or special prayer rooms, and what all.
I don’t think Muslim women should be permitted to wear their veils when they get their photos taken at the DMV for their driver licenses.
I’m totally against Sharia Law.
The office workers in Britain who had to remove their Piglet stuffed toys from their work areas so not as to offend a Muslim co-worker was the height of stupidity.
I just don’t think I could -(if I were to come into contact with their religious items and relics)- intentionally tear them apart or deface them.

Moderate Muslims do not perform religious rituals in public – the footbaths are used only by radicals.
I personally think it is wrong to install footbaths in public places with tax payers money. I do not think peeing in a footbath is tearing apart or defacing a religious item. I am not saying blow up mosques or take down x-mass trees or menorahs. I agree with Muslims against Sharia above.
Wow, this is a “guy” site eh? That’s so nasty….but only guys would think to pee in something like this. Don’t expect any women to get in on this one….LOL.

Muslims Against Sharia trying to pass a porkie
I bit too crude for my tastes.
I think a more legal way to discourage public footbaths would be to use them yourself. You can download muslim prayer times, and then take a long, leisurely footbath during those times. Bring a magazine to read. Preferably while messily eating from a bag of pig skins. Don’t rinse the crumbs that get on the handles – let the next person worry about that.
Why would you think that? Moderate muslims aren’t as “pious” (that’s such a joke) and are less likely to pray 5 times a day so they wouldn’t need the public footbath. Sounds logical.
Or is the “moderate muslims” part giving you pause?

Why would you think that
Experience.
You try and take a piss just before prayers in a public toilets any in Java, they are rolling up their trouser legs while queuing up to get at the urinals so as to wash heir feet.
Now that I find offensive, especially when you are bursting for a piss, I have nearly gotten in to a few fights, when barging through to use the urinal for what it should be used for.
As for Muslims Against Sharia, after 1400 years, it,s a bit late.
I stand for zero islam that means no islam with or without sharia
Zero tolerance to islam

I personally support any movement in Islam that wants to reform it from within so the billions of muslims do not want to kill other people. Do you not Shiva?
rainydayweather, you say, “I would never go out of my way to offend someone else over their religious beliefs, and certainly not by intentionally vandalizing something they consider sacred or important to their faith.” But you see, the problem is that your attitude permits creeping sharia, which is the point of the Muslims Against Sharia. You simply have to learn to distinguish religions. Muslims want to creep into control by making this a “universal” religious issue, one of individual rights. But Islam is different, as it does not respect individual rights. In failing to make this distinction, you become (sorry) a dupe.
As for shiva, hey look, I basically agree with you. However, while Muslims Against Sharia will probably fail, and while Islam without Sharia is as much Islam as Judaism without Halacha is Judaism, I don’t see any evidence of taqiyya here. Do you? So yes, OUR goal should be zero Islam, because we don’t think that anything other than zero will end jihad. But for the 1/10 of 1/10 of 1/10 of 1% of Muslims who support MAS, why not make an exception?
re 6 I am a man but I do not think LGF2 is limited to men. I agree with the sentiment in “Muslims Against Sharia” new campaign. If you do not agree with the campaign or you think the method is crude say so. Unlike LGF we let people speak their minds here. I no not expect all our readers to agree with me or to piss in foot baths in public areas. I just think it is a good idea. I like DJM’s idea too.
My Take on Muslims against Sharia, is to encourage them to take on the Jihadists. Just like how the Islamo-Fascists use the Left, lets ally with Muslims against Sharia. I do believe Islam is a crappy religion, so I sympathize with Shiva’s views.

So why waste time and effort on something that will fail
These people behind MAS know that islam is rotten to the core, and they know that the the koran cannot be changed because it is allahs final word.
They put themselves at the same risk as they would if they left islam. So why do they remain muslim, when islam has nothing else to offer.
MAS are just part of the good cop bad cop game.
We have had 1400 years of islamic treachery, and the are master, my advice is never, never, ever trust a muslim.
Why piss in it if you can go number two.
