‘You Might Think It’s Barack the Bomb Thrower’
As the lipstick war rages, Barack Obama is standing up for the rights of suspected terrorists.
On Monday in Michigan, Obama became exercised when talking about the need to give even suspected terrorists legal rights.
“We may think this is Mohammed the terrorist,’’ he said at a campaign rally, but “it might be Mohammed the cab driver. You might think it’s Barack the bomb thrower. But it might be Barack the guy running for president.’’
Continuing, he got more heated, his voice booming. Referring to the Constitution, he said: “Don’t mock the Constitution! Don’t make fun of it! Don’t suggest that it’s un-American to abide by what the founding fathers set up! It’s worked pretty well for 200 years!!’’
He finished with a sigh: “These people.”

Four days earlier in Washington Post’s cartoon:
“Watch out, Mr. Bush! With the exception of economic policy and energy policy and social issues and tax policy and foreign policy and Supreme Court appointments and Rove-style politics, we’re coming in there to shake things up!”
Then Obama says, four days later:
“‘Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove-style politics – we’re really going to shake things up in Washington!’ That’s not change … you know, you can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.”
I think the debates are going to be a disaster — he can’t think quickly on his feet. His convictions have to be handed to him in a written summary.
He reminds me of the Warren Beatty character in Heaven Can Wait — “Do I play Polo?”

But, Senator Obama, that is exactly what you do. Giving Constitutional Rights to those who are not protected by the Constitution, by pretending that they are, IS making fun of the constitution and calling it un-American to abide by what the founding fathers set up! Btw… as long as we’re talking about what the founding fathers set up in the Constitution, Senator from IL, let’s talk about that 2nd Amendment.
How’s that Concealed Carry program coming along in your home state, one of only two states without a concealed carry program?
Oh yeah, that’s right…… 2nd amendment doesn’t count. Neither does the First if you’re not a Democrat.
